Honestly, the projection and longevity are spectacular, but the scent is so generic that it doesn’t stand out from the rest.

Kenzo Homme EDP is a timeless classic: aromatic, marine, and woody. The sage, vetiver, and wood create a harmonious and versatile blend that everyone loves. While there are many marine options, this one stands out; Kenzo never misses. Ideal for anyone looking for a fresh marine daily scent.

Nothing like the 90s version. It used to be a beast lasting 8 hours, but they reformulated and ruined it. What a shame.

I had it but sold it… less than two hours of longevity, generic aroma, and nothing special. Plus, it smells like eggs or rotten seaweed. 🧟♂️

I hate writing this… I have a special fondness for Kenzo, but I don’t recommend this and wouldn’t buy it again. It’s divine, delicate, and well-made, with that subtle mint at the start. The problem is the performance: on my skin, it lasts barely 2-3 hours, and all traces disappear. It doesn’t even smell on the shirt after 24 hours. It’s a pity because it could have been my daily signature. I won’t sell or gift it; I keep it hoping the juice improves with age. EDIT 2025: In a world where people value Invictus Aqua and Hawas, I don’t understand why they treated this perfume so badly. 6/10 easily among the best with an Invictus DNA.

Aquatic, long-lasting but semi-generic. There are better options. I paid 70€ for 100mL in 2022 (expensive).

I bought this EDP version by mistake, thinking it was the original EDT. They don’t resemble each other: this one is more citrusy, with less wood and saline notes. It could be more summery, even in the Sport category. It has excellent longevity and projection, and women love it. It’s good, but I won’t buy it again; I prefer the original Kenzo EDT.

Woody, green, and citrus notes. Well-structured, easy-to-wear scents with a youthful aura. It’s a bit generic and linear, lacking complexity or variation, but the trail and longevity are acceptable. For the price, it’s consistent with what it offers.

Wood, green, and citrus: that’s the combination that defines it. Well-structured, fresh, and easy-to-wear aromas with a youthful vibe. Although it’s a bit generic and very linear, without much complexity or changes in the trail, the longevity is acceptable and the price fits what it offers.

Although I might not agree with the others, just to say: I tested it a while ago, two sprays, and the headache was horrible. Nothing else to add.
-

Even though I don’t go along with the others, I just want to say I just tried it: two sprays and the headache is terrible. That’s all.

I’ve been using it for two years. I bought it for summer because it’s very fresh, but now I use it year-round depending on the occasion. Feeling fresh and energetic, it’s perfect in the mornings to start the day or after the gym. It might seem like something for younger people, but it fits well at any age for everyday situations. It has a relatively unique aroma within its style, though it doesn’t stand out. I recommend it for daily use, not for special events. Great value for money.

Hello everyone. I went to the store just to try it out since the 100ml pack was on sale, and I didn’t want to spend money if I didn’t like it. Honestly, I’m not buying it. I sprayed it three times on each arm, and while the scent is nice, the trail just doesn’t work for me. The longevity is acceptable: I put it on at 11 AM, and by 8 PM, you can still smell it if you bring your nose close to my arm. It feels great for the first 45 minutes, then it fades and stays right on the skin. Maybe it would work better in full heat, but I’d rather go for other fragrances with better performance. Cheers.

It’s a fragrance similar to Invictus, but in my opinion, it’s more pleasant and less mainstream. It has good longevity and projection, recommended for every day in spring and summer, plus it’s very sporty.

It’s an Invictus, but in my opinion, much more pleasant and less common. It has decent longevity and sillage, perfect for every day in spring and summer, plus it’s very sporty.

This perfume doesn’t resemble Kenzo Homme, but it does share the Invictus vibe: not in the opening, but after a few minutes and throughout its development. The longevity is excellent, lasting 12 hours or more, and the projection is moderate to heavy.

Horrible. Nothing like Kenzo Pour Homme. It has a family resemblance, but it smells like a sharp, stale perfume, as if it had been left in the sun for five years and gone bad. Very synthetic; I had to wash my forearm three times. What a nightmare.

KENZO HOMME EAU DE PARFUM, or how to keep insisting on white musk and not die trying. I admit that out of all the Kenzos I’ve tried, I only like the Jungle line for women and men, and the Amour Le Parfum series. The rest, Flower By or Kenzo Homme, just don’t work for me. I don’t get why so many people love these stubborn, unappealing musks—even the majority. But tastes vary. My aversion to this type of musk is almost genetic, like lactose intolerance. I adore the Kenzo Jungle scents (bookish orientals), but this series of slanted bottles just turns me off. White musk can come in many qualities: the one in Chanel Allure is exquisite, balanced, and soapy, and I love it. But there are many cheap, mediocre white musks that smell like cheap nail polish, neighborhood barbershops, post-apocalyptic cleaning products, or department store disinfectants. They’re intrusive, brash, and nauseating. The Kenzo ones smell exactly like that. This KENZO HOMME EAU DE PARFUM is no exception. My idea of Japanese Zen aura has nothing to do with this result; I’d expect a soft herbal infusion accord, à la Lalique Perles, with delicate florals and ethereal woods, or Bvlgari Pour Homme, or even Alyssa Ashley Green Tea Essence. Surprisingly, the description doesn’t even list white musk, cardamom, vanilla, or sandalwood. So what’s left? The notes sharpening that ominous scent: citrus, marine notes, and cedar. Probably yuzu is part of the citrus blend, there’s a touch of sea algae, and the balsamic tone of mentholated cedar highlights the pungency. If you like these Kenzos, you won’t be disappointed, because their performance is better than other men’s fragrances from the brand.

It’s not a bad fragrance; it’s very good and long-lasting; it’s a mix between Cool Water and Invictus. The only downside is that sometimes people might confuse it with Paco Rabanne’s, but that’s about it.

This is the perfume I’m wearing right now, and it’s spectacular. On warm summer and spring days, it can’t be missing from your life.

At first glance, it looked similar to Paco Rabanne’s Invictus, but as it evolves, it gets slightly sweeter with fresh citrus and mint notes accented by cardamom. The mint in this Kenzo reminded me of Armani Code Ice for that sweetness, almost like mint candy, but softer. It has great longevity, lasting between 8 to 10 hours, and projects very well. You shouldn’t overapply it, because it can become too heavy for you and your surroundings. Something interesting: at the beginning, it has nothing to do with its parent fragrance, Kenzo Pour Homme. But at the end, when the perfume is fading and settling on the skin, you can feel the DNA of Kenzo Pour Homme. I invite you to bring your nose close and check it out for yourselves.
-
Alan_Rfqo
It seemed like a simple scent, type Invictus. As it evolves, it gets a little sweeter, with very fresh citrus and mint and cardamomo. The mint in this Kenzo reminded me of Armani Code Ice for that almost caramel-like sweetness, but softer. It lasts a long time, between 8 and 10 hours, and projects well. Don’t overuse it as it can get heavy for you and others. The curious thing is that at the beginning, it has nothing to do with its father, Kenzo Pour Homme, but at the end, when it settles on the skin, you can feel its DNA. Try it and you’ll see.

I own this fragrance, and I have to say it doesn’t resemble Invictus; in fact, they have nothing in common, although it has an air of Invictus Parfum. Highly recommended for current tastes among girls, and I doubt any man would dislike it. It has excellent fixation, projects considerably, and fulfills its purpose as a perfume perfectly. While there are many Kenzo fragrances I dislike, this is the exception. When I walk down the street wearing it, I can’t explain the delight I feel; with the sea breeze and heat, it intensifies and becomes captivating; all my coworkers notice it and love it. FLAWLESS. Something I really liked is that it maintains its originality, that addictive glue-like scent, but directed toward current perfumery trends. Worth highlighting its longevity; it’s really hard for today’s perfumes to last as long as this and smell this good.

I like it. Citrus and mentholated opening with cardamom accompanying. In the heart, it takes on a slightly spicy aquatic tone, and dries down with vetiver and cedar. It’s a versatile fragrance for summer. It reminded me a bit of Loewe Esencial, which I recently tried. Ideal for spring and summer, for day, and can accompany you at night too. Longevity is durable and projection is moderate.

gelo999
True aquatic freshness that stays true to the Kenzo Homme DNA. The opening is gorgeous: a cocktail of citrus, mint, and cardamomo creating an immense, rewarding marine coolness. It then evolves into a sweeter, more generic woodiness that feels unbalanced compared to the start, drying down similarly to other designer scents like Invictus, so those comparisons make sense. Longevity is very good and projection is acceptable, but ultimately, it doesn’t quite convince me. Rating: 4

Well, yes, it seems they took years to release this. It’s a super artificial marine accord that lasts a long time but with low intensity; almost better that way. I got a well-deserved whiff when I pressed my nose to my arm.
-

I think this is one of those creations that needs years to mature properly. Honestly, it’s another super-artificial marine accord that lasts but with low intensity (almost better that way). It gave me a well-deserved ‘anti-climax’ when I sniffed my arm.

Just bought it as an EDP and it’s quite fresh; I find it more marine than citrus. Among EDPs, it’s hard to find one like this since most are woody. My notes: Sillage 8/10 (moderate, not aggressive or cloying), Longevity 8/10 (worked perfectly on my skin), Scent 8/10 (some compare it to Invictus, but trust me, they aren’t similar at all; more like a sea breeze, perfect for summer and spring). Longevity 8/10 (as an EDP, it hits its 6-hour goal; some say it lasts longer depending on pH, but on me, it’s exactly 6 hours).

First off, I’ve never tried the first version of Kenzo Homme, so for me, it felt like a new fragrance. It starts fruity, fresh, and aquatic, very pleasant with a medium projection that is noticeable instantly; the mint, cardamomo, and citrus give it a lot of joy. The heart phase is floral and spicy, which is where it resembles Paco Rabanne’s Invictus a bit. At the end, the soft woods stand out more, maintaining that fresh, aquatic, and aromatic nature. It seems like a good fragrance with good longevity and a projection slightly superior to most in this style. Because it’s fresh, I see it better for daytime, spring, summer, and even autumn. It’s like a modern Cool Water. Although I liked it, I don’t recommend buying it blind; better to test it and form your own opinion.

Before I start, I’ll clarify that I’ve never tried the first version of Kenzo Homme EDT, so for me, it felt like a new fragrance. It starts fruity, fresh, and aquatic, very pleasant with a noticeable medium projection; the mint, cardamomo, and citrus notes bring a lot of joy. The heart feels floral and spicy, and it’s where it might resemble (just a little) Paco Rabanne’s Invictus. In the dry down, the woods become more distinct, though soft, maintaining that fresh, aquatic, and aromatic nature. It seems like a good fragrance with good longevity and slightly better projection than most in this style. Being fresh, I see it better for daytime activities in spring, summer, and even autumn. It’s like a modern Cool Water. Even though I liked it, I don’t recommend buying it blind; better to try it and form your own opinion.

Well… very simple… it has absolutely nothing to do with the Eau de Toilette, nada, just a marine touch. Here, the marine note is very intense, enhanced with mint, sage, and interesting citrus cocktails that last until the end, when green vetiver, soft sandalwood, and cedar appear. It’s a marine, citrus, and woody fragrance with interesting longevity and moderate sillage. At one point, it reminded me of some aspects of Cool Water (mmm, not sure if for good or bad). It’s easy to wear, fresh, citrusy, marine, balsamic, with a woody dry down that doesn’t go unnoticed. Would I buy it? Hmmmm… I don’t know…

I stumbled upon this at Sephora Valencia while looking for something else; an expert recommended this 2016 novelty at a great price. Upon testing it, I didn’t dislike it—it seems ideal for spring and summer. I’ve only worn it once on a fresh day that transitioned from cool morning and evening temperatures to midday heat, so I can’t say much yet, but it feels like a modern job by the two young noses. It’s not the EDP version of the original, but a creative reinterpretation from another angle. It smells very aromatic, fresh, and clean, yet complex—neither light nor dark. It opens very fresh with citrus, mint, and a touch of cardamomo. It makes a great impression; if you walk down the street, people notice it and appreciate it. The heart is dominated by sea notes, sage, and some soft, undeclared florals and spices. The base goes to sweet woods, and I’d dare say there’s a bit of warm oud leaves, even though they aren’t listed. I feel it has many more notes than declared, like some fruity ones. I think many will be upset with Kenzo upon discovering it’s not the original simply moved from EDT to EDP. Although it is an EDP, Kenzo speaks another language: it wants to take the freshness of citrus and mints to a freer ocean sea that later touches land with woods and flowers. The concept is playing with sea and land, the fresh and clean with the density of the tangible. They are simple fragrances but complex in intention. I don’t know its real success, but I know Kenzo makes them more personal. It’s very obvious that it has nothing to do with the original Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette. Despite being an EDP, I see it for spring and summer, not very for night, but perfect for daily wear due to its clean and pleasant aura that, with a favorable breeze, easily reaches others. If I observe changes, I’ll report them. Over time, I realized it performed very poorly for me.

An extravagant but excellent fragrance. For those seeking a blue distinct from the hype, with fantastic performance. The EDT Intense didn’t convince me due to the fig and strange salty notes, though its projection is brutal. I knew I bought this EDP immediately. ANECDOTE: On December 31st, stored in my jacket alongside Scandal, Invictus Parfum, and others, within an hour this Kenzo had devoured the scent of everyone. ABOUT PERFORMANCE: Lasts over 10 hours, stays on skin even if you shower the next day. Sillage and projection are moderate, like a perceptible bubble. ABOUT SCENT: Similar to EDT Intense but without fig or saltiness; here there is marine and soft leather, patchouli is felt but doesn’t dominate. OCCASIONS: Versatile, not for extreme heat, yes for fresh days and night outs. Works well at university. IN CONCLUSION: Scent 10/10, Longevity 10/10, Projection 9/10, Sillage 9/10. Should I recommend it? Yes, too much.
It strikes me that they criticize it for being similar to the EDT Intense. Gentlemen, it’s VERY different in every stage. It saturates me a bit because it’s very sharp and synthetic, but it’s a great perfume, distinctive and powerful. Marine leather, sharp. Super fresh, but I wouldn’t wear it in summer.
In a world of banal perfumery, this is a jewel. It brings originality and is polarizing: you either love it or you don’t. I absolutely love it; it’s an uncommon blue. Strong opening, lasts 7+ hours on skin and forever on clothes. It’s my girlfriend’s favorite; she says it’s rich but doesn’t surpass Kenzo. It evokes dark, humid places in Latin America. It’s a rare, unique, and identifiable scent.
I have the 2G02 batch from 2022. One spray filled a 4×3 room in 10 minutes. I prefer it at a distance; some confuse it with PH. In April 2024, it smelled like Coca-Cola, I suppose oxidation will make it similar. Personally, I’d buy the Kenzo Marine from the latest batch; I think they increased the sandalwood, and the 2024 Santal Marin version removed sandalwood. It reminded me of Benetton Intense Black (which smells good when oxidized, though it has notes that aren’t exquisite).
I bought the EDP version on promotion (2 bottles of 110ml, batch 2023). The opening is sharp, spicy, and mentholated with a sweet finish, lasting about 10 minutes. Then it shifts to a fresh and pleasant scent, very different from the start. It lasts 6-7 hours. Strong projection for the first 3 hours, then it sticks to the skin. I’m not sure if it’s for extreme heat, but it doesn’t disappoint. It has character, gets compliments, and is a deep, mysterious scent with fresh touches. The marine note is felt but hard to explain; I don’t detect the leather (others do), and patchouli dominates. I bought it blind and loved it.
Powerful, marine, and masculine. Those are the words everyone uses when they smell it. I’ve worn a quarter bottle in a year because it performs well with few sprays. It’s not very wearable indoors due to the sillage, but with care, it works. It deceives: a powerful and ‘animal’ opening, but dry down is elegant. Very little known. 8/10
Second blind buy after Sauvage EDT. When I smelled it, I thought: ‘I didn’t expect this.’ I’d describe it in one word: ‘leather,’ though it’s complex. I can’t find the typical marine notes of Kenzo, but rather something citrus/herbal, like ginger and pepper. The opening lasts about half an hour, then the fine, creamy, worked leather (like suede) takes over. The dry down is earthy with patchouli and an undeclared wood. Bestial performance: 9+ hours with 2 sprays and projection that grabs attention beyond 2 meters for the first 3 hours. Extremely masculine, for men with a capital M (+30). It generates compliments, but I don’t recommend buying it blind due to its strong signature and 70s/80s vibe.
After reading other reviews, I don’t have much to add: this isn’t for seeking applause; it’s a beautiful fragrance to love and enjoy yourself, celebrating your masculinity.
Masculine and powerful, I bought it blind. At first, it gave me a headache and I wanted to shower, but then it won me over. It smells strong, lasts on the skin, and projects well, though it’s not very versatile and the marine note is scarce; leather and wood dominate. Don’t buy it blind if you’re not used to it, but the performance for the price is brutal. A very good fragrance, but test it first.
Top notes are great, though my girlfriend couldn’t handle the leather. Once dry, it outperforms Ferragamo, Carolina Herrera, and Aqua di Gio; it’s perfect for the streets. Ideal for a mature, modern, confident, and extroverted man who knows where he’s going ⚓️
Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum is a marine, masculine fragrance, and in my opinion, a bit sweet and powdery due to the patchouli bomb it contains. It’s for certain tastes: you have to like the Kenzo DNA or at least patchouli. If you like powdery and marine notes, this is for you. It opens sharp as is known in this line, then settles down and darkens. Performance and projection are excellent. I see it as a more mature or serious DNA, but a young person can wear it for spring nights, dates, or daily use; you just have to let it settle on your skin to see how much you have to pull the trigger because it’s potent. With three sprays, it easily lasted me 6 hours with good projection. One of my favorites since I love patchouli and skin as an olfactory note. Longevity 5/5, Projection 4.5/5, Compliments 2.5/5.
It’s a beautiful perfume; although it appears to have few notes, I feel it’s very complex. To me, it smells like honey, wet wood, mint, and a deep, salty sea breeze. There’s nothing in the current perfumery that resembles it; in a world where everything seems to be a clone of Erba Pura or Baccarat Rouge, this is a fragrance that’s a relief. Besides its peculiar aroma, it’s a bomb, leaves a trail wherever you go, people love it, and they don’t know what they’re smelling. With three sprays, you’re good for about 8 hours without a problem. I got it for 1200 Mexican pesos; you pay little for a quality niche perfume that’s versatile and very elegant, although you do need a bit of style to carry it. 10/10.
If you spray it just twice, once behind the ear and once on your clothes, you’ll feel the best perfume in history, but don’t do it more than that.
Amazing fragrance! The whole line is fascinating. I don’t know which of the three is the best; I still have to figure that out. This one stands out for its depth, a very special way of smelling different, it projects, and it doesn’t leave anyone indifferent. And on top of that, the price isn’t excessive. Brutal perfume, 9.25/10.
One of my favorite perfumes and by far the one that has given me the most compliments. It stands out a lot and doesn’t go unnoticed because of how different it is.
Kenzo EDP is a luxury, a super different fragrance. The first time I tried it, I felt different, gave it a chance, and I have no regrets. It’s not as marine as it sounds; the smoky wood and leather are quite noticeable, with a touch of honey that gives it a special sweetness. It can be worn in any season, but for me, it’s a bomb in fall and winter; I got many compliments then. If you want to smell different, I recommend buying it; it’s a 10/10.
I started by saying it was hard to choose between this and the Intense (I liked the Intense more at first, but the EDP’s longevity was also an option). I bought it a year ago and only used it once (I’m a drummer and thought it would go well with the heat and sweat), it went unnoticed, and I thought I had made a mistake. I almost forgot about it for a year, and today I decided to use it; I usually wear the first perfume I see. At first, it smelled synthetic and even ugly, but once it dried down, I felt cleanliness and elegance (I wore a short-sleeve shirt for the office). I hung the shirt on Friday, and today Monday I woke up with that familiar scent; the room still smells like this perfume three days after using it, something that rarely happens. If you’re looking for a ‘snot-nugget’ perfume, this is one of them (and it’s very versatile).
Kenzo Homme EDP is the sea, but not a clean or bright sea, nothing like a beach afternoon. It’s a dark sea, after a storm, at night, in a harbor. You get a smell of turbulent sea that embraces you with marine notes, salt, and a slight scent of damp vegetation and seaweed brought by the waves. You sit down and reflect while the sea envelops you. Let’s not even talk about longevity; it’s a beast: with two sprays, 24 hours and two showers later, I can still smell it on my skin. The projection is very strong at first (I still don’t know if it fades or if my nose just got used to it), so moderate the sprays. It’s not for parties or flip-flops on the beach; it calls for a more cared-for style, like a white linen suit at sunset. Personally, I love it, though I don’t recommend it blindly. I’ve tried others from the line and didn’t like them, so I understand why many people might not like it.
It lasts a long time but doesn’t project as much. I haven’t tried the Intense, but this EDP is very similar to Lattafa’s Wajood; the Arabic one wins on performance. The Kenzo smells less synthetic, more like a personal bubble, while the Arabic one leaves a bigger trail. In terms of scent, the Kenzo has rich leather combined with patchouli at the base, while the Arabic one stands out for its sandalwood. If you ask me, I stick with the Arabic one: for less than half the price, you get a very similar scent with better projection.
I acquired the EDT Intense a year ago and loved it. It’s one of my favorite fragrances (having over 120+ in my collection). Motivated by such a spectacular fragrance and also by the perfumer behind it (Quentin Bisch), I recently acquired the Eau de Parfum. Here are my impressions: 1. A couple of sprays are enough to be noticed. 2. It’s a heavy, woody scent and can get overwhelming. 3. Unfortunately, the touch of patchouli I dislike a bit. Otherwise, it would be a spectacular perfume. 4. Adolescents stay away. This is for a mature audience, 40+. 5. I don’t find the typical leather smell easily found in perfumes like Falcon Leather, Ombre Leather, Yquawam, etc. 6. Despite having different expectations 💔; I must acknowledge it’s a great perfume, both in aroma, ingredients, and longevity. 7. So far, I haven’t received any comments. My mother loved it. She said it smells like a masculine man. I suppose she was referring to the singer Chayanne, haha (for some strange reason, mothers find this type irresistible). 8. Due to its potency, it should be used in cold climates and at night. 9. Hypermega masculine perfume. (Mom, you’re right). PS: It doesn’t seem that similar to the EDT Intense to me. I definitely stick with that.
Kenzo Homme EDP is, without a doubt, my number one fragrance. Years ago, it left me speechless without me knowing exactly what it was, until a guy on the subway recognized me and said: ‘Kenzo Homme, the dark blue tube.’ I went to try it, and they confirmed it was that one. Imagine a night beach with sea breeze, seaweed, and wet wood, plus an herbal patchouli like incense. If you get too close, it smells dense and potent, so it’s better to spray it on the back of your neck. It’s rare, hypnotic, and has a brutal projection that’s noticeable from meters away and lasts days on clothes. Three or four sprays are more than enough. It’s super masculine, opulent, and goes against the sweet fragrances that are out there now. For me, it’s an adult scent (+25), elegant, and seductive. In Argentina, the 110 ml version is around 200k pesos (about $150 USD as of October 2025), worth every penny. The only downside is the cap: it comes loose easily, isn’t secured well, so you have to be careful. Don’t buy it expecting an Acqua di Gio; this is more nocturnal, dark, woody, and salty. Ideal for fall, spring, or summer nights if you’re careful with the amount. It’s fascinating, but you have to smell it first.
Late 2023 batch Kenzo Homme EDP is a marine, accorded, ‘chocolatey,’ and at the same time earthy fragrance. It opens with Kenzo’s typical marine notes, which are almost salty, with, in my opinion, a very dark, muted fig of great character and body, which is not declared. About 10 minutes into it, this fig hides a bit to give way to a soft leather, but not soft in terms of presence, rather soft to the touch, though clearly we can’t touch it. It’s a very slightly animalic leather that doesn’t become entirely heavy thanks to the marine notes that envelop it and make it more versatile. The patchouli is very deep, somewhat chocolatey, like dark chocolate, and earthy at the same time. It’s practically a linear perfume, with a very smooth transition that lasts 10/15 minutes from the opening, and then we find the perfume as it is. It has a very masculine profile, and despite being a designer fragrance, it’s more or less distinct. I must say that I don’t know if it’s due to the leather accord they formed, but I perceive cardamom in the dry down. Performance: (I have dry skin). Longevity: 8 hours guaranteed, and beyond that depends on skin types. For me, it gives 8. Projection: 2 meters for 1.5 hours. From shoulder to elbow for another hour, and finally personal bubble. Sillage: Heavy for 1.5 hours and moderate for another hour. Then moderate/soft sillage for another hour. Occasions of use: To me, it’s a tremendously versatile perfume; you can use it for literally any occasion. Seasons: Autumn, winter, spring on non-too-hot days (-25g), her nights, and summer nights. Age: +21.
I never thought about reviewing something like this because the longevity is insane. I put it on, took a shower, put on a ‘beast mode’ fragrance, and after showering, this Kenzo ate it up, even though I only applied it to one arm. At work, I usually wash my hands very well because it’s a hydraulic shop where you get covered in oil, fuel, etc., and you need to wash thoroughly; and this Kenzo survived all the washes and showers I gave it. It lasted almost a week. I applied it on a Sunday, and by Thursday it was still lingering on my skin. It’s ideal for someone who uses only one perfume; it’s a jealous fragrance that doesn’t let you use another, like a voracious stain that keeps coming back and there’s no way to remove it. A perfume can be great and long-lasting, but not to this level where it won’t let you be at peace, where it becomes suffocating to the point of making you sick of it. It’s a good scent, but by the second day you don’t want to know anything about it anymore and prefer to go for something lighter. I’ll try other perfumes that are very similar and hope they don’t cause me that rejection because it was a scent I loved at first glance.
It’s not the 90s Kenzo Pour Homme (discontinued, by the way). While leather and patchouli still predominate, its DNA has lost its identity. The current version is sweeter and more herbal. Its longevity is immense. I atomized a suit jacket I keep in the closet, and the scent still lasts for weeks. Its trail is moderate and discreet. As for the perfume, I close my eyes and feel a marine aroma, more precisely Mediterranean beaches. Just thinking about those scents transports me to a bar, sitting at a table by the sea, just after sunset, enjoying a glass of champagne and some gratin oysters, wearing a white shirt and Bermuda-style pants, with nautical footwear. In summary, the perfume is very masculine and seductive. For night. Young people or those in their early twenties, thumbs down. I’d say for ages 30/35 and up.
Kenzo EDP review after a year of use. I bought Kenzo last year, late 2024. At first, I found the opening very strong, with fewer marine notes than usually described; in my case, I detected a strong animal leather opening with quite powerful and imposing woody notes. I don’t want to say it smelled bad, but the opening seemed very intense and a bit confusing. I bought the deal with two 110ml bottles, so I saved the other one and kept it open occasionally to let it breathe while using the first; that one didn’t change as drastically, maybe the opening softened a bit, but it was still not very pleasant. Well, a few days ago I opened the second bottle, started using it, and everything changed. It hits with a marine plan at first, letting the leather notes come out much faster than before, but it’s not such an animal leather; rather, it’s elegant, soft, with flashes of distinction. While the opening is a bit potent, it’s very pleasant compared to the previous one. In its dry down, it leaves me with leather and woods with very good longevity; if I put it on clothes, it washes off, but when I iron them, it smells like Kenzo. The truth is, I would clearly buy it again. It’s a great option for open spaces, has excellent projection, and people like it. Yes, it’s best worn with a sharp outfit, as the perfume evokes elegance, distinction, and seeks character. It’s what a gentleman would wear, so you have to dress the part. I think it’s highly recommended. It was my first perfume, I bought it blind and got two bottles; honestly, I don’t regret it, even though it was a bit of a crazy decision. That’s my review, a super good experience. If I can, I’ll buy another bottle. And right now, I’m grabbing a couple of sprays 🤤 before bed, haha.
Gentlemen, this is an atomic bomb. If I put it on my hand, it lasts 36 hours even though I wash it several times a day. On clothes, it lasts for weeks. It’s a dark marine scent, super masculine, like a walk through the port on a summer night. I tried it in the store and didn’t like it at first, so I sprayed it on my hand and went to the gym; after 30 minutes, once dry, I couldn’t stop smelling it. I was on the treadmill and getting blasts from my hand. Dark but fresh. The next day I tried it again and it was the same. The third time I just bought it. Sometimes it causes a bit of olfactory fatigue, so it’s not for daily use because you might end up hating it since you’re smelling it all day. As for projection, it’s beast mode; when I wear it to the office (with just 2 sprays), my colleagues compliment me immediately. So far I’ve only tested it in winter, though it doesn’t seem crazy to wear it one summer night for a party. It’s like an Aqua di Gio for the night. If you’re not afraid to smell like a classic man, it’s a blind buy.
I just bought it and had instant olfactory fatigue. It had been a while since I experienced complete anosmia with a fragrance. Unfortunately, the only thing I managed to smell was a bit of incense, clove, and total blindness after 5 minutes. I don’t know if this has happened to many people with this scent; it would be interesting to know. If I recover my sense of smell with it, I’ll comment later to share the experience. What a pity; I had high expectations. How mysterious the sense of smell is. Greetings! 🥲
A great option for summer. It’s super long-lasting and has earned me plenty of compliments. I usually save it for special occasions.
Wonder of wonders…
My partner introduced me to this perfume since his dad had bought it recently; I remember smelling that spray on my forearm and it lasted until the next day. I decided to buy it because it won me over with just that one spray. The opening reminds me of an extremely juicy prickly pear, as if you were pressing the fruit right up against your nose (though I think that prickly pear sensation comes from an undisclosed fig). Gradually, the perfume shifts to something more aquatic, dialing down the fruity intensity. I consider this Kenzo a very versatile option if you don’t overapply in the heat. Suitable for all seasons. It lasts as long as it should, about 7 hours, with a huge trail for the first 3-4 hours, then it becomes a personal bubble. I highly recommend it for people over 25. My rating is a solid 9.
It’s a cruel joke that a perfume with this performance cost me only $45. It’s a giant wave crashing against a rock, shaking everyone who wanted to get into the water upon seeing the driftwood. It has fascinating performance, an almost invasive projection, and exaggerated longevity. No one remains indifferent, and the best part (for me) is that it doesn’t fit the current trends. It’s that differentiator that says: here’s someone who tried something different and nailed it. I love it; it’s spectacular in every way. If you like challenging, marine, and woody fragrances, you can’t miss this.
It must be that my sense of smell isn’t trained enough, as I don’t identify marine notes. It’s a unique, fresh, and slightly sweet scent that lasts a long time on skin, and you can smell it on clothes days later. My 23-year-old son loves it, and when he wears it, he leaves a trail; after a few hours, the scent still sends out bursts of freshness. A great designer fragrance that deserves it by far for the price.
Hi, gentlemen. I made a blind buy and found what I was looking for: the heart of the sea. I admire this scent and its story. A few weeks ago, I traveled with my partner to a beautiful beach with imposing waves. That afternoon, I went to see the sea, and by chance, the waves dragged a log ashore. I took a photo of my Acqua Di Gio Parfum on that log, a memorable image. Something strange: that log, wet with saltwater, transmitted a pleasant and particular aroma to me. Today, the Kenzo Eau de Parfum arrived. I applied it, and immediately I remembered that log, but amplified: wood deteriorated by salt, on top of a powerful, earthy, and humid herbal base (patchouli). It’s exactly what I was looking for. I’m 27, and I just say this Kenzo EDP is too masculine: unique, pure, comparable only to another Kenzo. Aimed at men of strong character, who don’t seek validation, who know how to converse, and who take care of their appearance. For me, it’s the perfect perfume. It’s not just energy; it elevates the ego, pride, and manhood. You feel you can handle the world because you carry the power of the sea. You project confidence, elegance, and high self-esteem. You are complete. If you don’t have what it takes to carry a perfume, the perfume will drag you down, and you’ll look bad. On me: Longevity 12h, Projection 2h, Bubble 4h, Skin Scent 6h, Sillage 2m (2h). Recommended: Formal and semi-formal events, dates, meetings. Not recommended: Office, gym, clubs. Age: 30 and up. It will never be missing from my collection; I found this perfume and finally found myself. 10/10, powerful, elegant, and masculine.
Gentlemen, short review. After using it since September, I say it’s a bomb in projection, sillage, and longevity. It stains clothes heavily. It’s a different scent, outside the mainstream (vanilla, sweet, etc.), and to like it, you must accept the leather and patchouli. It smells like a man who knows things, who solves problems. Worth trying; it’s probable some will like it and others won’t, but it’s very good. P.S.: Limit your sprays to a maximum of 3, or you’ll have a bad time, and so will those around you. Better in open spaces; in enclosed areas, you’ll have a bad experience.
This mainly smells to me like opening a good bottle of aged Venezuelan rum and smelling the cork before tasting it, so simple, like the rocks. Although it’s curious that rum isn’t declared, I imagine it’s those cedar and vetiver woods pulling off a ‘bad pass’—and by bad, I mean nothing, because I absolutely love it. I don’t own it yet, only smelled it in perfumeries, but I’m 100% sure I’ll get it for summer. Total delight.
I put it on at 7 pm, and the next day it was still there on my forearm; the HDP can’t last that long. It’s a mature, very rich scent, but try it before buying blindly. Projection and sillage are heavy for the first 2 hours, and longevity is another story. Usage: less for the gym; it can be worn for anything, but check the weather and occasion so you don’t overdo the sprays, because this is a bomb and once you put it on, you don’t take it off again. 9/10.
This is the last one to arrive home, and I’ll have to make room for it; it’s my first Kenzo, but I’m sure I’ll repurchase. I agree with those who describe it as mature and not for everyone; that salty, marine, leather, and patchouli touch isn’t for everyone—there’s no middle ground; you either love it or hate it. In my opinion, it’s not for daily use, but rather for special occasions, especially at night: elegant, strong, with character, and clear about what it is. Key point: great performance and good price around 50€, so don’t hesitate.
It’s the ultimate underdog. Nothing to envy from Acqua di Gio, D&G, or Versace when it comes to heat. Excellent performance for under 40€ (60 ml). Very similar to Homme EDT Intense, but the leather base makes it more versatile. While they’re alike, they complement each other rather than being redundant; you can own both without issues: the EDT is for summer, beach, and day; the EDP is more formal and for night. Destined for hot weather, but versatile enough for spring or autumn. Longevity and sillage are well-documented and very noticeable. Watch your sprays. 100% recommended purchase, but don’t buy blindly since it strays from the classic marine vibe.
I love that blend of leather and marine notes. I see it more as a nighttime fragrance rather than for daily wear or hot days. The first time I tried it, I didn’t like it at all—I was just starting to train my nose—but after wearing it again, I absolutely loved it.
Kenzo always brings its own twist to fresh and marine scents, but here it does a full 360-degree turn: yes, it has that humidity of being near the sea, but leather takes the lead, giving it body and a personality that’s 100% masculine, like a fragrance for a cover model. That leather adds a touch of charm that enhances, satisfies, attracts, and convinces. It’s not for kids going to the club to party hard; it’s for distinguished men who radiate virility and are magnets of attraction. It’s about knowing when, where, and with whom to wear it, because you don’t want to fall for the wrong person. It’s an adult, contemporary, formal, serious, and nocturnal scent that holds mystery. Ideal for dates or special nighttime occasions, always when you’re dressed to impress. For men 28 and up. Scent: 10. Projection: 2 hours, solid. Longevity: max 7 hours. Recommended.
