Descripción
Invictus Legend by Rabanne is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Domitille Michalon Bertier and Nicolas Beaulieu. The top notes unfold with marine accents, sea salt, and grapefruit; the heart reveals a harmony of bay leaf, geranium, and spices; while the base anchors the essence with red amber and guaiac wood.

MASTERPIECE. THE BEST INVICTUS OF THEM ALL. IT COMBINES THE BEST OF THE PREVIOUS ONES. I REGRET BUYING THE 50ML ONE, BUT SINCE IT’S AN EAU DE PARFUM, JUST TWO SPRAYS ON THE NECK WILL BE ENOUGH FOR YOU AND THE PEOPLE CLOSE BY TO SMELL IT. IT’S BRUTAL. IN AUTUMN AT 20 DEGREES, IT LASTS MORE THAN FIVE HOURS; AFTER SIX, THE INTENSITY DROPS SLIGHTLY. IT’S SWEET AT FIRST AND SALTY WHEN IT DRIES. TRULY A BOMB OF ESSENCE. YOU CAN SMELL THE LAUREL, NOT EXACTLY LIKE THE ORIGINAL BUT IT’S THERE. I TAKE OFF MY HAT TO THESE PERFUMERS WHO MANAGED TO KEEP THE INVICTUS ESSENCE AND TAKE IT ONE STEP FURTHER. SUMMER? YES, BUT AT NIGHT. SPRING? DAY AND NIGHT. AUTUMN? DAY AND NIGHT. WINTER? I’D WEAR IT DURING THE DAY BECAUSE AT NIGHT I’M NOT SURE IT WOULD STAND OUT AS MUCH ON THE SKIN; I FEEL THE COLD WOULD DIM IT A BIT. BUT IT’S A MATTER OF SPRAYING MORE, BUT BE CAREFUL! IT’S A POTENT EAU DE PARFUM. PACO RABANNE DID IT AGAIN, AND IN AN EXTRAORDINARY WAY.
Invictus Legend reminds me of that typical deodorant or sea gel smell. I’d wear it in the morning for running or the gym, but not for dates, important events, or work. The longevity and intensity are good, and although I like the middle notes, the opening doesn’t convince me. It has more presence than the original, but given the price and utility, I don’t plan to buy it.
Strange fragrance: at one meter the trail is rich, but if you get close to the skin it smells weird (maybe it’s just me). In my case, the trail lasts an hour and a bit and the longevity is about eight hours. It’s very similar to the Yves Saint Laurent Y EDP that I also own.
Yesterday I sprayed two sprays on my forearm and today, as of now, it still smells. Naturally, it’s very close to the skin, but if you bring your nose close, there are still traces left. This is a bomb.
It’s fruity. I thought it would be a bomb projecting for five or six hours, but it actually lasts about three. I still recommend it for summer or autumn. Right now I’m at the beach and it works well because it’s fruity and the performance jumps up by about five hours. In cold weather, it becomes weak, like most summer fragrances.
Rich aroma from start to finish. Suitable all year round, standing out at the beach thanks to its tropical touch and during spring and summer nights. It holds up well in autumn and winter. I have a 2021 bottle that lasts over nine hours, so I give it an 8.5/10 for performance.
Strong, fruity, and sweet opening, totally for summer. After two hours, projection and sillage drop to an average fragrance level. 2022 Update: Rich aroma for the first hour, then mediocre. I don’t recommend it; if no one can smell it after an hour, there’s no point in wearing it.
Fresh, herbal, and sweet aroma without being cloying. The opening is tropical mango with an acidic twist like passion fruit, a pinch of salt, and a woody base. Projects strongly for the first two hours, then lingers on the skin for another six hours like an Eau de Parfum, but with constant bursts of that charming scent. It’s a flanker that generates compliments. Great for warm days, evenings, nights, summer, spring, and even for office Fridays or weekends. Yes, in the dry-down phase it reminds me of 1 Million Lucky with a salty and amber touch.
Invictus Legend is one of the freshest options in the lineup. It has that classic sticky sweetness with a marine touch from the original, but adds a sharper salty note than the Aqua. Its signature is the underlying tropical aroma. Projection and longevity are moderate, as expected for the price. Warning: close to the skin, it smells weird and unpleasant, so don’t over-spray and avoid being too close to people. In short, the sweet, salty, and tropical balance makes it ideal for summer.
Fruity, fresh, and youthful fragrance perfect for daily wear. The opening blends Invictus and Le Beau. As it dries down, it smells like 1 Million Lucky but with marine notes.
Aromatic delight. I read somewhere that no one can smell it after one or two hours… Wtfff? If that scent lasts until the next day, hahaha. For me, it’s the best from PR along with XS Night.
It’s truly a spectacular fragrance. The first time I noticed it was on a sample they gave me after buying Carolina Herrera’s 212 Vip Black. I remember I was reading a book and I sprayed some of the Invictus Legend sample; I was very impressed because this fragrance inexorably transported me to a place that was both fresh and warm at the same time.
Total disappointment after seeing people say it had great longevity. Less than 2 hours of moderate projection, and after that, only skin scent until it disappears by the fourth hour. Selling a perfume that only has the name could be considered fraud.
I bought this fragrance in 2019 when I wasn’t an expert yet and was just getting my driver’s license. It seemed like the perfect flanker because my brother used the Intense and I didn’t want to smell like him. It projected a lot, lasted forever, and I always got compliments; everything was blue (hehe). I finished the bottle and about 4 or 5 months ago I remembered the good times and bought it again. At first, I thought everything was the same, but it wasn’t. It’s been reformulated: the salty, citrusy, graceful opening lasts at most an hour. Then there’s a soapy, sticky sensation that no one notices, and by 4 hours I have to press my nose against my skin to smell it. I sprayed it at 8 PM, and now at 12:11 PM, it doesn’t smell beyond my skin anymore. I’m so angry to have 100ml of a perfume that smells great but lasts ridiculously short. What a pity 🙁
Invictus Legend is a fruity, aromatic, and woody fragrance. The opening is fruity and sweet, very faithful to the Paco Rabanne style; in fact, sometimes it seems like several of his group fragrances, like those from Puig, resemble each other, as if they have a bit of Black XS or the new Phantom, but it moves further away from the original Invictus. Over time, it loses a bit of freshness and becomes more spicy and aromatic, though it remains fresh and sweet, just with a higher degree of maturity than the original or Aqua. It’s versatile, less youthful than the original, making it suitable for slightly more formal occasions, yet it stays playful and pleasant. Ideal for spring, autumn, or winter. Performance: about 8 hours for me with regular projection. Recommended for fans of Paco Rabanne and Carolina Herrera looking for something cheerful but with a touch of maturity.
My reviews can be a bit hard to follow. To me, it’s the best in the Invictus range, with an aroma that attracts a lot of attention; it’s clean and versatile. Both its longevity and projection make it an excellent purchase. I recommend it without any reservations.
In my opinion, I’m head over heels. It smells amazing, it’s strong, and I’ve gotten tons of compliments; the trail is fantastic. As for longevity, it’s by far the longest-lasting: I sprayed it three times at 9 PM, went home at 6 AM, slept, and when I woke up at 1 PM, my pillow still smelled like it. Highly recommended. Note: in summer, if you over-spray and aren’t in a ventilated area, it can be suffocating.
I just bought it because I’d been wanting it and I absolutely loved it. It’s sweet and fresh, though not as much as Victory in the opening; this one is fresher at first and dries down to warm, sweet, and salty. It’s my favorite after Platinum. Recommended for day and night, summer or winter, and it’s elegant. A complete gem. I agree with others: it’s more mature and elegant than the Classic.
I tried it as a decant, and to be honest, it’s the only Invictus that didn’t work for me. The opening is rich, but then it gets a bit salty; it’s not bad, but it just doesn’t give me good vibes. Plus, it lasted about four hours and then I couldn’t smell a trace. I was really disappointed since I read it was the best in the line, but it’s nothing like that. My top picks remain: Platinum, Victory, Classic, and Legend.
I’ll just talk about longevity: it’s brutal, lasting over 8 hours, awesome! 👌
If you find it and you like it, buy it, since it’s discontinued.
Out of the hundreds of fragrances I’ve owned, this was the only one that drove everyone crazy; my ex-girlfriend wanted to try it the moment I mentioned it, and when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I love it, sweet notes but mostly marine and salty. From my perspective, with too much heat it can even be suffocating. Spring and summer nights, ufff, and it could even be worn in autumn without issues. For me, it will always be a 10 out of 10.
I have it, and it’s a super versatile perfume that brings many compliments, ideal for those beach heatwaves.
Few jovial perfumes for summer night parties are both good and long-lasting. This is clearly one of them. If you’re going to buy an Invictus, make it this one. In Argentina, it’s still sold in some places, only the 50ml version. Recommended. 6/10.
Very rich and beautiful, I picked it up on sale in 50ml with that Champions logo. I had the original Invictus EDT since its launch and it lasted me a whole year. The scent is very similar but less fresh, and instead of taking away from it, that gives it more versatility than the original, which I only used in heat and in the evening. I liked this Legend; it didn’t surprise me coming from the original, but in winter here with the heat and mild climate, I find many occasions to use it, even at night. Good projection, better than the EDT, and the longevity is beast mode: the EDT lasted me 4 hours on skin, and this one already gets me 8. Nothing to criticize except the price; even though I got it on sale, the original is excessive. Recommended? I don’t know… I love the Invictus aroma, almost my signature for years, but it’s super overused and the scent is extremely well-known, so it doesn’t surprise or generate compliments because everyone has an inspiration of this logo. Try it, and if you truly love the scent, it’s worth the expense; otherwise, not.
What I notice most is the grapefruit in the opening, which gives it a citrusy and stimulating touch, while the laurel leaf and geranium notes in the base add masculinity. It’s a balanced and long-lasting combination for men.
The sweetest scent for any occasion, smells absolutely delicious, and its longevity and projection are something I haven’t seen in other perfumes. I recommend it 100% as a signature; anyone who says otherwise should check where they’re buying their perfumes, lol. 10/10.
SALT DELIGHT smells rich, simple, and fresh; it’s marine/salty/herbal/woody where the salty and marine notes dominate, a bit more sporty than the classic but more serious since it lacks that flashy or fruity sweetness. It’s not very evolving: it opens fresh and then stays linear. It’s an honorable ‘Blue Fragrance,’ easy to wear for daily life, hanging out with friends, the gym, the beach, casual Fridays, or daytime dates where you want to smell good and attract attention; ideal for heat and sun, though it also works in cold or at night. I’ve gotten compliments like ‘you smell so good’ with no negative comments. Performance is very good: lasts 7-8 hours, projects strongly for the first 2 hours then fades but is still detectable at a short distance with a wide sillage that surprised me. The price isn’t cheap but it’s worth it if you like these aromas; buy blind if you love marine and salty scents. Compliments 10, Longevity 8, Projection 10, Sillage 10, Price 7, Total 9.
Very rich, masculine, fresh, and marine, but it has a salty note that doesn’t quite work for me; from afar it’s fine, but up close, right on the skin, it shifts to something spicy that I don’t like, though others might enjoy it. That’s the only thing that didn’t convince me. The longevity, projection, and sillage are good. Personally, I recommend not buying it blind because there might be notes you don’t like. This doesn’t just apply to this perfume but to all of them: NEVER BUY BLIND. Even with positive reviews, some notes might not suit you; we all have different tastes. If you buy based on a good review, you might dislike certain notes once you try it. That’s why you should test it first with decants to see all the stages: opening, dry down, and heart, plus longevity, projection, and sillage. So, test it fully for a few days and don’t let yourself be guided only by first impressions. Never buy blind.
INVICTUS LEGEND PR: The original DNA is there, but it transforms into an aquatic and marine version with a salty touch that makes it super fresh and blue. Even though it seems discontinued, there’s a great inspiration today called Victorioso Myth by Maison Alhambra; keep your distance, but they’re very similar, so you can’t go wrong with the price. In the world of contemporary blues, it competes directly with Dylan Blue from Versace, Y by YSL, Nautica Voyage, 212 Men by Carolina Herrera, Bvlgari Aqva, Acqua Di Gio by Armani, and others on the market. Undoubtedly, it’s a great fragrance: jovial, energizing, clean, and marine. It’s fantastic for mornings, afternoons, and hot nights; not super elegant, but it smells amazing. In my opinion, it’s one of the two best Invictus scents, alongside Platinum. Excellent choice for heat with proven acceptance. Scent: 10. Projection: good, noticeable for 2 hours. Longevity: 6 hours on skin, 8 on clothes. Recommended.
Sweet, very sweet. On my skin, it smells like vanilla and a bit of talc; I don’t detect the salt, citrus, or laurel. I don’t consider it a net summer scent; I use it more in spring. I think it suits people under 40 better, especially the younger crowd. It has excellent longevity and projection.
Sweet opening, Invictus-style, with a dry-down very similar to Lapidus Sport or Kouros Fraicheur. The laurel note is very noticeable; it can be off-putting, but not for me. It’s 100% masculine.
Totally beast mode, great scent, and lasts forever. I’ve worn it for 10 hours and it’s still projecting strongly. Perfect for summer.
It should be back; it was my first serious fragrance in 2019 and remains my favorite after trying hundreds… it’s a sweet-salty, potent, and marine balance with incredible performance. I still have a 200ml bottle with 80-100ml left. I’ve tried clones, but nothing comes close to this masterpiece. The Parfum is a bit similar, but worse, with those coconut and tropical vanilla notes from Victory Elixir. I hate the direction designer fragrances have taken, although Aqua 2024 redeemed them a little. I hope they bring this gem back.
The new Invictus smells much cleaner, like soap and violet. This one doesn’t. This is more festive and ultra-versatile.
This is probably one of the first to pack so much wood and ambroxan. Here comes the fatigue factor. In the heat, it overwhelms me; those metallic, dusty tones, mixed with synthetic wood and sea notes, amplify and mute the grapefruit. I tolerate it better in the cold. Plus, it has a sticky sweetness I don’t like. I’d only wear it in cold weather or outdoors—it’s not what I’m looking for. The performance is exactly what you’d expect.
What I love most is the dry-down: it has that classic Invictus vibe but with a much cleaner finish. At first, the grapefruit is a bit intense and not as sweet as the EDT. The longevity is insane: 2.5 hours of moderate projection, over 8 hours on the skin with bursts, and up to 12 hours before it fades away.
I have it but don’t use it much. It’s very long-lasting, but the scent is invasive. One spritz on my shirt is strong and lasts all winter. It works better for summer if you want to smell like grapefruit, but it feels a bit old-man-ish for anyone over 30.
I own both Elixir and Legend. Elixir makes me feel super masculine and confident; my friends say it smells good, but in real life, no one asks. Some even cover their noses because it’s too projecting, like someone threw pepper in my face. If you wear it closed, just use one spritz. I’d recommend trying Elixir Le Male instead—it gets more compliments. Legend, on the other hand, really turns heads; even my cousins hug me longer asking what I’m wearing. For outdoor summer days, go for three spritzes on your neck and shoulders. Women tend to prefer citrus and aquatic notes, so Legend is the best daytime option.
Legend is way fresher than the Parfum, which smells like flowers and soap; they’re completely different scents.
