It’s like the nighttime version of the Black Edition as this Intense adds a modern sweet touch like cold herbal/marine candy sweetness 😅 I know it sounds weird but it gets very close to Valentino Born in Roma with that moderate educated Invictus vibe—no shrillness or shouting. I think it’s worth the price has good longevity and an average designer-level sillage. Although it arrived in Mexico at a high Zara price ($700 about $35 USD) it really is worth it offering a very favorable price-to-quality ratio.
Perfect just as good as the original. Ideal for turning heads. Sweet and thick opening less dusty and fresher than the basic version. I detect pepper citrus a sparkling touch and a denser note. Then comes the cardamom orange blossom and sage; I’m not sure what the juniper resin smells like and I don’t notice much juniper. When it dries down it leaves a sweet fresh and slightly effervescent cocktail though less so than the other. Overall it smells more natural and refined. In my judgment it lasts longer and is a bit more potent. Plus it will please many people. Note that part of Invictus is more intense. For those who haven’t smelled them the Black Editions are like a crossover of Scandal La Nuit de l’Homme and Invictus something impossible for anyone not to like. In short: good and cheap.
Spectacular opening sweet and rich scent perfect for winter. Compared side-by-side with Yves Saint Laurent’s Nuit de l’Homme (EDT) they’re 90% similar so I interpret that it was an attempt to imitate it. As such it’s a spectacular very pleasant and sweet scent reminiscent of Givenchy with a powdery and rich base typical and very suitable for cold climates and night outings. It doesn’t remind me of Valentino Uomo Born In Roma; I own both and no they aren’t similar. The one it actually resembles is Yves Saint Laurent’s Nuit de l’Homme (EDT) and a lot though less spicy. I love it because you can get that powerhouse scent that costs 80 euros for just 24 euros. The longevity is a bit shorter but you can’t ask for more at this price. An 8.5 out of 10.
Invictus Parfum with a spicy opening and a sweeter twist. It’s a win-win.
This is throwing money away. I sprayed it twice and after 10 minutes there was no scent left. I sprayed two more times on the same spot and after just 5 minutes it was barely noticeable at 3 cm. Terrible performance. Scent: 6 Performance: 1. Don’t waste your time on this.
To my nose it smells exactly like Montblanc Legend Spirit (the small white bottle) which is basically a catalog flanker of Paco Rabanne’s Invictus. As for the claim that it resembles Nuit de l’Homme absolutely not; I tested them side-by-side and detected zero similarities. It’s got the perfect label for joggers so I’d wear it in those situations—ideal for tossing in your gym bag and spraying on the way out. Plus it’s quite potent long-lasting and projects beautifully so highly recommended. Edit: You’re right that over time it drifts into a cardamom accord so yes I’ll correct myself; in that aspect it does share similarities with Nuit de l’Homme.
