Descripción
Asad by Lattafa Perfumes is an oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2021, its olfactory pyramid unfolds with a vibrant top note of black pepper, tobacco, and pineapple. The heart reveals a sophisticated blend of patchouli, coffee, and iris, while the base settles into a warm, woody foundation of vanilla, amber, dry wood, benzoin, and labdanum.

I bought it as a gift and liked it. It’s very, very similar to Sauvage Elixir. Obviously, it’s not the same: neither the note-by-note scent, the ingredient quality, the longevity, nor the sillage are identical, but you smell it and everything points to Sauvage Elixir. And all for between 20 and 30 euros, when Sauvage Elixir costs almost 200€. For me, it’s a late-afternoon to evening fragrance, like Sauvage Elixir, but since it’s softer, you can wear it practically all day, even to the office without overwhelming anyone, unless you over-spray. The longevity depends on everyone’s skin, but it’s high; it lasts longer than most designer perfumes released today. On clothes, even though it’s soft, it will last until you wash them. I’m definitely buying it for autumn.
Without being an expert and diving into the Arab world, I decided to grab this to start. Pleasant surprise… I love it. I’m one of those people who likes to wear it on fresh summer mornings because the scent seems quite decent for the price. It has good longevity, even more so than some designer perfumes I own. I’m not a huge fan of vanilla perfumes, and in this one, I have to say, I don’t detect it; it’s a very subtle tone. Comparing it to Elixir, it’s true that the dry-downs are similar, but the openings aren’t very alike. I own Sauvage Parfum, and they don’t resemble each other in practically anything, so yes, it’s a very good dupe of the Elixir but has nothing to do with the rest of the line. If you like Sauvage-style perfumes, you’ll like this. The quality-to-price ratio (20-25€) is highly recommended.
A mix of coffee, which I don’t see in the notes, and tobacco with a touch of amber and a sweet note that’s probably vanilla. For 18 euros, it’s a good option for anyone who likes Halloween X or similar. Personally, it doesn’t do anything for me.
It’s a fragrance I was lucky enough to try, but I really feel it’s extremely spicy and I can’t find an occasion to wear it.
I bought it after a video by Andrés Perfume An where he recommended Asad as Lattafa’s number one. At first, I didn’t like it; it reminded me of JF9 by Jafra, an outdated and somewhat fecal scent. But I was wrong; it was probably the oxidation or lack of maceration. Once it opened up, I started to love the aroma, detecting woods, a clean scent, and a certain sweetness like pineapple. I liked it so much I fell in love, searched for similar fragrances, and even went to Liverpool to smell the Sauvage Elixir. Later, I bought Azaln Oud by Al Haramain, and wow, that one is much closer to the Sauvage Elixir, being more mature, potent, and long-lasting. In that sense, Asad is more versatile than Azaln Oud and Sauvage Elixir, because after an hour, those spices and woods that make the latter so exquisite, mature, formal, and serious fade away. In the dry-down, about 30 minutes in, it resembles the original, but for the price ($23), it’s a super fragrance that doesn’t smell like the quality of Azaln Oud; it holds up quite well and stands out from the rest. It’s like a blend of 90s perfumes with the modern touch of the 2010s. It’s for office use without over-spraying in cool weather like autumn and summer. If you’re under 25, wear formal clothes to match it. Definitely not a blind buy; I recommend smelling Dior Sauvage Elixir to get an idea of how Asad smells. You could say it’s the slightly younger version of Sauvage Elixir due to the pineapple touch and reduced spices, plus the smokiness. If you like that DNA, go for the Azaln Oud Blue Edition by Al Haramain, which is practically a 1:1 match to Sauvage Elixir and of much higher quality than Asad.
It’s like the Sauvage Elixir, but a bit softer and more versatile. On my skin, after 5 hours, it smells like bubblegum, but on my dad’s skin, it smells spicy and woody. Overall, it smells very good; I think I’ve found my new signature scent.
I don’t like the opening much; it smells like a natural products store. But I love the dry-down; I don’t know how to explain how rich that coffee scent is. I bought it as a decant but am thinking about getting the full bottle.
This is a characterful perfume; you can tell. The opening is intense and very projecting. With those strong notes, it starts with a lot of tobacco, then moves to patchouli, and finally settles into wood and vanilla, which are the ones I detect the most. The longevity is excellent: about 5-6 hours on skin and forever on clothes, lasting until the wash, including sheets and pillows. In my opinion, it’s best for night or mild/cool weather; it gets heavy in the summer. The price is great, just like most Arab perfumes.
A full-on beast of a fragrance. They say it’s a clone of Sauvage Elixir but I think it’s not. They do resemble each other, but this has a twist toward spiced vanilla that I love. In that sense, it reminds me a bit of Pure XS Night, a pity it’s already discontinued. The longevity is eternal, about 10 hours, and it projects like a beast; ideal for partying all night and leaving a trail. Just make sure to shower before bed if you don’t want your sheets smelling for 3 days. For the price, a 10/10, and I must mention it seems much better than Asad Bourbon, which TikTok gives so much credit to.
Another Sauvage dupe. A very well-known DNA. However, given the price and projection, it’s worth trying.
I couldn’t find a use for it, not even on cold winter nights. I don’t recommend buying it blind: it’s excessively spicy and very strong. The pepper and tobacco blend together and almost tickled my nose. It resembles Dior Sauvage Elixir, yes, it certainly has its DNA, but Sauvage Elixir doesn’t give me what Asad does. Maybe due to having low-quality notes, it feels like a dizzying perfume. At least I don’t recommend it, it’s very dark. But as I always say, I don’t have the absolute truth and for tastes… colors and fragrances. A hug.
Not a scent suitable for blind buying, it smells almost exactly like the original and in my opinion it smells like Coca-Cola. It tends to be suffocating when overapplied.
Here’s my most honest opinion: I understand why many don’t like it because it’s not ‘mass appealing’ or a ‘compliment giver’. To be precise, I sought it out, sprayed it on my hand, and remembered when I used it. It has a very complex scent, but for my nose, it’s not bad. It’s not for everyone because everyone just goes with the flow and doesn’t take the task of getting to know their fragrances in depth. Every fragrance has its habitat at the right moment; there are people who wear it in summer, during the day, in enclosed spaces, with inappropriate clothes (sweater with shorts, sneakers, cap, bad hair) How do you expect to stand out if everything is neglected? I’m not saying this just for this fragrance, but for all in general. Conclusion: You need character and personality to wear Asad. If you believe you have it, buy it and use it in moments with suitable weather. You’ll see how it flows, and if you care about opinions, don’t worry, they’ll make you feel attractive and important, I guarantee it.
Hello friend, I’m giving my opinion on this little fragrance I bought blind. I fell for the temptation and the TikTok hype, but look, for my humble nose, it smells exactly like ‘The Club by Scalpers’. It doesn’t smell bad or anything.
For young people like me, with the ease of content creators… I fear telling them this isn’t for you. It’s a fragrance that’s too strong with incredible longevity, but it smells like a greenhorn (and I don’t want the typical brat to say they won’t rate it by age, because put this on a high schooler and you’ll see everyone backing away). It smells of pepper and spice, but a spice that’s too annoying, like it’s gone bad. No complaints, it cost me less than $20, but it really made a before-and-after in my buying habits and stopped me from buying blindly.
Honestly, it smells like shaving foam to me. It’s neither good nor bad; it’s a scent I like, but only while I’m shaving. As a perfume, it doesn’t quite work for me, plus it gives me olfactory fatigue; after a while, I can’t smell it unless I rub my hand over my nose, although I’m definitely aware it’s there.
A mature, serious scent that denotes authority. Great projection and longevity. If it’s the DNA of Sauvage but takes its own spicier path… it’s for men, not kids.
Smells good but fades instantly; not worth it.
Hi guys. I haven’t bought Sauvage Elixir yet, but I can say the spices in this make it feel very elegant. Vanilla is present, though not in a cloying way; the pineapple balances the spicy top notes. Tobacco adds a clearly masculine touch, and the dry-down is incredibly attractive. The dry wood in the base sometimes reminds me of palo santo: a formal, almost addictive scent, at least for me. It’s not for daily wear, let alone the office. It’s better suited for special occasions in winter, maybe a formal date or a dinner at an upscale restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under 35. Don’t let this happen to you: I bought it blind. I’m 27, and no matter how much I love it or how elegantly I dress, I feel this perfume demands more maturity from me. On the other hand, a 35-year-old, even in a black tee at the movies, would pull it off. For me: Longevity 8H, Projection 2H, Sillage 2H, Skin Scent 4H, Trail Range 1.5m (2H). Recommendation: Dates, semi-formal or formal events, gatherings with friends and family. Not recommended: Office, clubs, or sports. Recommended age: 35 and up. 8/10. Masculine, rugged, and elegant.
Smells exactly like Halston Z14; I can’t find any difference. A very sharp cinnamon gum scent, nothing that the masses will enjoy.
Beast mode, one of the best from Lattafa. My first Arabic scent alongside Zanzibar. Usually, fragrances don’t last for me, but this was an exception: incredible trail and projection. It’s tricky to wear, NOT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE (like me), but rather for men aged 35-40 or a suit-up night because it smells like an old man with money. Black pepper and spices are very noticeable. Recommend it if you want something different for formal nights. NOT FOR DATES, DATES, OR DAILY USE (better to wear fly repellent in summer). I received compliments and I like it. Rating: 4.2/5.
My first Arabic fragrance and I fell in love at first sniff. It’s warm, spicy, with a slightly sweet base. Lasts a long time and is top-tier quality. Not for kids or teens; it commands authority and is a real man’s perfume. Perfect for special occasions, dates, or the club, but not for everyday wear.
A quite strong, warm, and spicy fragrance. Not for the young; it has good longevity and sillage, but I find it very synthetic. That’s my only negative, aside from the fact that it’s not a scent for everyone.
Disgusting, the worst purchase I’ve ever made. It sits at the bottom of my closet just to bulk up the collection. At 30-40 euros, you’d be better off spending that on a good ham. Do yourself and anyone who smells it a favor and skip it.
Good perfume for the price. It reminds me a bit of Sauvage Elixir but follows a different path. Lasts quite a while on the skin and stays on clothes for days. In short, great scent and great value.
Masculine, elegant, serious, and attractive. I own both the Sauvage Elixir and this one. Obviously, they aren’t identical, but the Elixir has superior quality. This is an excellent option for everyday office wear in autumn and winter. To those who say it hurts, I say it’s acceptable; they just aren’t prepared for this type of elegant, mature scent (mentally mature, obviously). Recommended, especially considering the price.
I disagree that it’s a ‘great perfume,’ but it’s very good for the price and what it’s meant to do. Let me explain: it has no minimalism; it’s packed with power and personality from the first second to the last. It lacks control over the notes; it feels like a chaotic mix of intense scents chasing a ‘wow’ factor rather than earning praise as a well-crafted fragrance. Nothing like high-end perfumery, yet it does its job: it smells good. If you’re looking for impact and personality, yes, it’s a good perfume.
I haven’t tried the Sauvage Elixir myself, but I absolutely love this one. I see it as a special occasion scent—perfect for formal outdoor events or when wearing a suit. I can imagine it could even work in summer if you let it settle for the first hour after applying it.
I’m sorry to say this is possibly one of the most overrated fragrances in the Arab perfume world. It’s literally just so much pepper that you can’t smell anything else. It’s an invasive sensation I can’t quite describe. There are too many perfumes that improve on this concept, and honestly… there are better options for the price. You can buy something else.
Good aroma, masculine and formal, but not very versatile. I smell a lot of pepper at first; it lasts about 5 hours. It’s not youthful; it’s more dignified. It’s similar to the Elixir—same DNA but not a 1-to-1 dupe.
For the price, it’s an excellent fragrance. A clear finalist alongside the Bourbon.
At first, I thought it was extremely strong, but after 12 hours it hadn’t faded. Honestly, it’s for adult men aged 35 to 50+. Probably the most masculine scent I’ve ever felt. The cigarette note is very prominent until it gave me a slight headache. The pepper is also very strong, creating a stinging sensation. The first time I tried it, I was confused; it felt overwhelming and I didn’t like it. It’s identical to Sauvage Elixir. I don’t recommend buying blindly; it’s an acquired taste. If you’re looking for this, buy a decant first. In summary, Asad felt extreme to me: very masculine and strong (cigarette and pepper), potentially heavy or invasive.
It’s going to be short and sillage-poor. My first Arabic perfume; it denotes elegance without being loud. Longevity and trail are average. It’s not for young people here; ideal for winter and autumn. A lovely scent, recommended.
It was disgusting the third time; I can’t stand it anymore. It smells like saliva, pee, and tobacco. Too much hype for this garbage.
Highly recommended: top quality-to-price ratio and features trendy notes like pineapple and pepper. Ideal for autumn/winter and men over 40.
Very rich. I expected better longevity and projection, but for the price, it beats many designer perfumes on the market.
Perfect for cold nights—elegant and serious. At first, it smells like nothing, but after 15 minutes it explodes. It projects massively and lasts all day.
I love it. It’s masculine and sexy. The bottle and the scent age well, even getting spicier. I finished one and bought another; it doesn’t seem reformulated. The opening is spicy and metallic, then settles into a masculine blend of patchouli and dry wood. I wear it to work; it lasts 7 hours on skin and days on clothes. Be careful with the projection: about 5 indoors, 8 or 9 outdoors. It resembles the Elixir but is sweeter and softer, whereas the Dior is a beast. It works year-round depending on the occasion, but always test before buying. It’s not for everyone; you need personality.
It just doesn’t work for me. I’m 18 and it feels like it’s made for guys over 35. Nothing youthful about it.
I’m obsessed with the scent. It smells like Sauvage Elixir but isn’t a 100% clone; it has its own style and the price is a steal.
