The standout is the mint balancing with the basil; the marine notes are almost covered by the fresh herbal notes over a woody background that is barely perceived until it has dried and been assimilated by the skin. It’s a fragrance that allows you to have comfort and freshness in hot and sunny climates, though it also performs well in offices at cool temperatures around 20 degrees. Longevity is just okay; yes, you’ll need to reapply because the fragrance softens quickly, and although it doesn’t disappear completely, you do need to apply touch-ups to revitalize it (lasts almost 6 hours on skin with medium-low intensity); still, considering its price, I think the fixative performance is decent. Update: In certain areas like the arm and forearm junctions, applying two full sprays, I managed to get up to 12 hours of longevity, obviously with a more moderate intensity, but it seems that applying two or more sprays is the secret to giving it the strength it needs. I didn’t like the bottle; it seems too simple, and the cap had a sort of rough edge, as if it had been poorly cut at the bottom, nothing like the Wanted bottles. If you want a fresh and herbal aroma, this is a very good option; it doesn’t stand out too much, but it can’t be totally ignored. As a note, when you use it, you’ll realize that in the background, there’s a scent very similar to Aqua di Gio, behind the green notes (perhaps that’s why it’s called Aqua). Recommended sprays: 7 to 10. Fixative rating: 7.5. Sillage: Light. Intensity: Light.

Chrome Aqua, listen. I’m one to associate colors with scents, and here the bottle gives you the 100% idea of how it smells. The opening is strong, citrusy, and slightly herbal, then it moves to something more aquatic and ends in a woody dry-down. It’s fresh, simple, but has body. It’s not one of those that you barely feel. It reminded me of a perfume I had as a teenager in Argentina, ‘El Acqua di Colbert’. Even the bottle color is the same, haha. That Colbert was inspired by Acqua di Gio (I don’t know if the classic or a flanker), but everything connects. For anyone who knows the Colbert, Chrome Aqua is very similar but with more punch, like an Extreme version. It tasted quite good to me, and I see it as ideal for the gym or for anyone looking for something fresh after a shower. In terms of performance, it’s not a beast, but it’s much more than I imagined, on par with or surpassing several designers in this style. The first half-hour projects quite a bit, then it drops down to 10-15 cm from the skin. For what it proposes, it’s acceptable. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Chrome Aqua is more of a flanker than a true spin-off of Chrome, typical of Azzaro when a hit leaves nothing on the table. I tried it a couple of weeks ago in peak heat (32 degrees) thanks to some vials gifted at the JC Penney launch. The opening isn’t bad; in fact, from over three meters away, you could be fooled if you let yourself get carried away by the initial magic of the mint and grapefruit. Unfortunately, that magic fades, and the fruity notes lose strength terrifyingly quickly, leaving behind a dry, dull scent with mediocre-to-low projection. Maybe it’s ideal for cool climates, but in the heat, it honestly has little to offer—a shame because the start is pleasant. The bottle and its physical presence are a 10.

Azzaro Chrome Aqua is a citrus, aquatic, and aromatic fragrance. Its opening is very citrusy and invigorating, and shortly after, it shows some interesting herbal phases; up to this point, it promises to be a good fragrance, but over time it loses strength, becoming a skin scent, and although it’s not unpleasant, it becomes somewhat generic, resembling other fragrances. Chrome Aqua is a daytime fragrance, suitable for spring and summer, casual outings, or hanging out with friends. Its longevity can reach about 8 hours, but very close to the skin. I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t excite me either; I think there are more interesting fragrances with better performance.

Just got it, hope my review helps since there aren’t many. It’s a very fresh, almost herbal perfume. Honestly, I barely perceive the basil note; it’s more mint. Let me tell you what fragrances it reminds me of so you know what it smells like: at certain moments, it reminds me of Perry Ellis 18, Burberry for Men (just for the mint note), and Bulgari Aqua Pour Homme, obviously without the algae note. So, let’s say it’s a Perry Ellis 18 with more mint and a bit of Bulgari Aqua Pour Homme’s scent.

Bought it blind and absolutely loved it. Super fresh and perfect for summer. Since I live in the Caribbean, I use it a lot. The citrus top note blends well with something green, but not forest-like; it’s more marine, giving that exact sensation. Lasts up to four hours on clothes and about six on skin. Good fragrance.

What a surprise with this Chrome; really good except for the longevity, which is very modest, barely 4 hours on my skin, but it fits in line with most of its class. The scent is great, invigorating, and modern.

Is there any cheap clone of this “Azzaro” here in Argentina??? I read in an English review that it’s similar to a Gillette… Does anyone know if that’s true???

Reminds me directly of Acqua di Gio Profumo mixed with sea water.
