Descripción
Mr. Burberry Indigo by Burberry is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. The top notes feature rosemary intertwined with lemon, bergamot, and grapefruit. The heart reveals a refreshing combination of mint, aquatic notes, violet, sage, tea, and Hedione. Finally, the base notes add depth with oakmoss, Iso E Super, and amber.

I just used it and, without a doubt, it was a ray of freshness. Instantly, I notice a very natural mint, as if from the plant itself, followed by an addictive citrus and herbal note, with lemon and rosemary that smells like freshly cut grass. The sprayer is gentle and allows you to control the spray. At first, the trail is good and perceptible to those nearby, lasting an hour and a half, then it fades, but on clothes it lasts much longer, about 6 hours or even up to 12. At the end, the rosemary comes through. That’s all, it’s exquisite.
After the EDT and EDP disappointed me, I wasn’t expecting much from this Indigo flanker under the Blue perfume name. What a joy to be wrong! It has been the summer surprise. It smells green and fresh, thanks to a very natural mint, unlike the synthetic one found in Kryptomint. Its performance is much better than the original. Thanks, Burberry, for updating the line; for me, it’s the only one worth it after Beat.
I tried it and there’s not much to say; it’s like a ‘2-in-1’ fragrance. Initially, it smells almost identical to the classic white Colgate toothpaste for about two hours, with a low-to-mid trail. Afterward, it resembles Versace Dylan Blue, but in a less elegant way—not as ‘blue’ or clean-smelling, in short, lower quality. In this second stage, lasting about 5 hours, it stayed right on my skin. Is it a bad fragrance? Actually, I don’t think so, but for what it offers, there are better and higher-quality options on the market, which comes down to personal taste. I’d rather go with Dylan Blue and brush my teeth.
I tried it and there’s not much to say; it’s a ‘2-in-1’ type scent. At first, it smells almost exactly like classic Colgate toothpaste, lasting about two hours with low-to-medium sillage. Then it resembles Versace Dylan Blue, but it’s less elegant, less blue, and lacks that clean feeling, meaning it feels lower quality. This second stage lasts about 5 hours and stays close to the skin. Is it bad? Actually, no, but there are better options out there. It comes down to personal taste; I’d rather go with Dylan Blue and brush my teeth.
Mr. Burberry Mojito might not be as innovative as before, but it has its virtues. The bottle is gorgeous, the sprayer is excellent, and I believe the ‘Mr’ refers to the bow tie under the cap. 1- Opening: Picture yourself in a bar by the sea, with friends, enjoying gin tonics, lemonades, and mojitos; that’s how this smells, like that trio of drinks. You can clearly sense the bright mint and that icy feeling that makes it ‘uplifting’. 2- Dry-down: It reminds me of Perry Ellis 360 Red Men, but with more rosemary, and both are fresh. 3- Its name: Indigo in English, añil in Spanish. Does it smell ‘Blue’? Not like Bleu de Chanel, but yes, like Polo Blue EDP. Longevity is good and the projection doesn’t fail. It’s versatile, clean, and natural. Ideal for summer afternoons or the office. Honestly, I wouldn’t pay $125 in a store; wait a bit, as Burberry perfumes often drop in price months later. Personally, I like it.
Mr. Burberry Mojito. Maybe it lacks innovation, as seems to be the trend lately, but it has its merits. The bottle is beautiful, the sprayer is excellent, and I think the ‘Mr’ refers to the bow tie detail under its huge cap. 1- Opening: Imagine sitting in a bar by the beach, feeling the pleasant sea breeze, chatting with friends, sipping gin tonics, lemonades, and mojitos; that’s exactly what it smells like, to this trio of drinks (in a good way). You can clearly sense the bright mint leaf and that icy, fresh sensation that makes it an uplifting aroma. 2- Dry-down: It reminds me of Perry Ellis 360 Red Men, except Mr. Burberry Indigo feels much more rosemary-forward, though both are fresh. 3- Its Name: Indigo in English… añil in Spanish. Does it smell ‘blue’? Well, it’s not like Bleu de Chanel, but it’s quite similar to Polo Blue Eau de Parfum. Longevity is good, and I have no complaints about the projection. It’s quite versatile, clean, and feels more natural than synthetic. Perfect for summer afternoons, informal wear, and office use. To be honest, I wouldn’t pay the $125 asked in stores; wait a bit, as Burberry perfumes often drop in price a few months after launch. Personally, I like it.
Fresh and very comfortable for summer, the kind that doesn’t bother anyone around you. I like it.
Ideal for those looking for something different. I wouldn’t wear it as my signature, but I love having it in my collection. I recommend the 50ml bottle for special occasions. Without getting too technical: it’s fresh, and what hits hardest is that initial mint blast, then it settles into a very straightforward herbal essence. It’s not a perfume for everyone; you have to appreciate it. I don’t think you’ll get many compliments, but if you’re the type who loves being accompanied by a fragrance that surprises you every time you wear it, this is perfect.
I usually wear Ultraviolet in third person, but honestly, the dry-down of this Indigo caught me off guard. That ambered moss with hints of mint… I actually liked the opening more, where the rosemary makes a really cool blend with the mint. In this phase, it feels more revitalizing, fresh, and sparkling, perhaps fitting that English seaside vibe better. It lasts well with the typical power and quality of a current designer fragrance. Nothing groundbreaking.
Indigo seems like a good flanker for Mr. Burberry. It smells herbal, citrusy, and woody. The opening is very fresh with green notes like mint and rosemary surrounded by citrus and florals; the first few minutes are pleasant, like a mojito, just as @Nelson gil escano said. Over time, the green notes persist, the citrus fades, and a woody, aquatic base emerges that reminds me of John Varvatos Artisan Blu. After an hour, it doesn’t change much anymore, but it remains pleasant and fresh. It’s for daytime use, perfect for summer and spring due to its fresh trail. I liked it more than the original EDT. It lasts about 8 hours with regular projection; it’s not super long-lasting, but at the discounted price, you can overapply without regrets.

I like it quite a bit, even more than the original. It reminds me of some perfume from the 80s, I don’t know which one. Overall, without being innovative, it’s very well made; you can feel the quality. Moderate projection, good longevity.
I tried it yesterday, glad it was before I bought it. Very fresh, herbal, very mentholated. There’s something in the opening I don’t like; it reminds me a lot of the smell of celery. In the dry-down, that herbal mentholated aroma remains, which I also don’t like. If you’re going to buy it blindly, test it first. Don’t get surprised. In conclusion, I’m passing.
I tried it yesterday, glad I did before buying. Very fresh, herbal, and mentholated. There’s something in the opening I don’t like; it reminds me a lot of celery. Once it dries down, that herbal mentholated aroma still doesn’t appeal to me. If you’re going to buy it blind, I recommend testing it first to avoid a surprise. In conclusion, I’m passing on this fragrance.
Definitely worth it. If you like mint, this is the perfect everyday scent. It’s potent, smells like lemon zest mixed with a more oily mint; it’s not sweet. Projects for about 2 hours and lasts 8 hours on my skin, until the next wash on clothes. I’ve received more compliments than with Sauvage EDT.
Definitely worth buying. If you like minty perfumes, this is the perfect one for everyday wear. It’s potent, smells like lemon (like the peel) and mint, but this mint is more like oil. It’s not sweet. It easily projects for about 2 hours. I’ve received more compliments than with Sauvage EDT. Lasts 8 hours on my skin; on clothes, it lasts until the next wash.
A very good fragrance with a strong, fresh citrus opening. Lasts 6 to 8 hours with good projection. An excellent option for summer days.
Truly a very good fragrance, with a strong and fresh citrus opening. Lasts 6 to 8 hours with good projection. An excellent option for summer days.
The bottle design is incredible. It’s the only perfume I want to keep on display; the others are hidden in a drawer. The scent feels like an update of Polo Blue, which I owned and liked, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s fresh and pleasant.
The 50 ml bottle arrived as a gift with another fragrance. The citrus opening is quite strong for a few seconds, then after an hour, a green aromatic mint comes out; it reminds me of a fresh lemonade with lots of mint, but very much like celery, which is confusing and maybe aggressive. That sensation sticks around forever, but after an hour, once it settles, it gives way to a woody freshness and a bit of talcum powder. Good performance, easily 7 hours with few sprays. It smells different, nothing mainstream, but watch out, don’t buy without testing. I got used to it and found it quite pleasant and versatile.
Note: I reviewed this months ago because last week at a pharmacy I saw a box of Bvlgari Aqva Amara and Paco Rabanne One Million Elixir. They didn’t know what they were and sold them to me on sale. I didn’t know either; I never liked One Million, bought it for the notes and the hype of the Privé version (and I wasn’t wrong). I have Aqva Atlantique, but Amara was discontinued and was super hyped by JF and others. When I tried it, it sounded familiar until I realized: at home, I put one on each arm, and yes, Mr. Burberry Indigo is very similar to Aqva Amara. The curious part is that they don’t share almost any declared notes. Aqva Amara has an opening of just Sicilian mandarin, but you can smell the rosemary, and that’s where they’re most alike: citrus, bitter, green opening, between bitter orange and celery. Mr. Burberry lasts forever, becoming more aquatic and woody; Aqva fades and leaves more room for the aquatic base and a sweet amber touch. I was surprised by the similarity and that if people like Aqva Amara so much, Mr. Burberry goes unnoticed. Maybe my sense of smell is terrible at sniffing, or maybe it’s just probable.
At first, it didn’t convince me, but over time I fell in love. It’s super elegant for hot weather. More than 4 sprays is overkill; on my skin, it projects a lot in the first few hours. It’s a wave of freshness and elegance in warm climates. Don’t buy blindly: the opening is strong and strange for those who don’t know it. If you overdo it, it smells like celery, haha, but it settles down and becomes wearable. Watch out with the sprays. For guys over 30 with personality and the right wardrobe, it’s a great fit. Citrus opening with lots of rosemary. The dry-down and base are delicious; you can really smell the moss and the spectacular amber. I’m waiting for hot days to wear it and have received many compliments. Cheers.
It’s ADG with celery. I don’t wear it much, but the performance is top-notch in every way.
