Rotten eggs at maximum expression! Without exaggerating, the worst fresh perfume I’ve ever tried.

  • Exquisite… I like the loud citrus opening, then it takes a salty tone, and the dry down is absolutely delicious. No egg smell or weird stuff 😍😍😍

  • augusto.scarabino

I love it, it reminds me of my dad with Light Blue (not the Intense version). It’s more sentimental than based on quality. It’s exquisite when first applied, but loses intensity quickly; after 2 hours, it’s like I’m not wearing it. If it lasted longer, it would be 10/10. The scent is 100% beach, summer, salt, and heat.

  • Fortunately, it doesn’t smell like eggs. I see it as linear and rough. The opening is the best part: fresh, citrusy, and salty, but then a bitter heart appears that I didn’t enjoy. The dry down is masculine with musky woods. It lacks a touch of sweetness, like tonka in Versace Pour Homme, to round it out and avoid that bitterness. I prefer the regular Light Blue because its bitter heart fades faster and the dry down is better.

  • Fresh, potent, and sparkling opening, maybe a bit synthetic and alcoholic. Citrus and sea. Dries down quickly to classic masculine woods. Longevity and projection are adequate for its type. Very complimentary.

  • Fresh citrus opening, well-executed marine notes, and a woody base that maintains the freshness. Excellent for hot days to smell good and feel fresh for a few hours. Reminds me of Aqua di Giò by Bvlgari, but without the seaweed vibe and with much better longevity and projection.

  • Jaime Ramírez

I was expecting something super aquatic, but it’s very classic. Citrus and woods with a subtle sea touch. Reminds me of Perry Ellis 18 for Men. Easy to wear, great for studying or working, though it doesn’t work well in the cold. Has a masculine and elegant vibe. 7/10

  • GARAÑONDELSUR

Bottled summer ☀️🌅🏝️. Strong opening that’s salty, citrusy, and marine, a bit alcoholic, not for everyone. Then it transforms into a masterpiece: citrus, sea, salt, woods, and musk. Very masculine, maybe less so than Polo Blue EDP. Works well in public for young crowds, but it’s better for formal occasions in the heat, weddings, or the beach. If you wear it daily in summer, it’s a waste of perfume; it’s better for special events. Good longevity, about 6 hours with a decent sillage, while others last 3-4. In short: marine, salty, citrusy, and woody, sophisticated and without annoying sweetness. Perfect for intense heat. 10/10

  • At first, it smells delicious, but after 10/15 minutes, a vomit-like egg smell appears. One of the worst things I’ve heard. Don’t waste your money.

  • Absolute masterpiece with endless compliments. I bought it because my brother wore it to school and everyone said it smelled amazing. Now it’s my signature scent: I smell like a strong, distinguished, masculine man. A rich Italian blend of grapefruit and salt. My girlfriend even nicknamed me ‘The Salty One’. 10/10

  • My summer signature. I’m in the group that reacts great to marine notes like calone. I’ve checked that perfumes like ADG Profondo or Kenzo Homme EDT Intense don’t react the same on everyone. It doesn’t smell like classic boiled egg, but it sits better on my skin than on others. What a feeling of freshness, comfort, and subtle masculinity. It’s a very special mood that few fragrances achieve.

  • 100% marine perfume, not aquatic. Salty water, algae, and salt. Although my skin usually complicates things, it doesn’t project the egg smell others talk about, and now I’m curious to try it 😆. It evokes the sea well, like surfers coming out victorious with salt on their skin. It has versatility, but by preference, I use it at social events with a presentation, or in very hot situations with a guayabera at the beach. It might have a synthetic or plasticky nuance, but overall, it smells of good quality, not cheap or mediocre. The performance of my batch is brutal, almost beast mode.

  • Some perfumes aim to impress, others make you feel good. Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue Intense is in the second category: it refreshes, pleases, and accompanies without making a scene. On hot days, that’s a relief. From the first spray, you feel cold citrus and aquatic notes. It’s clean, vibrant, and has a powdery base that gives it body without losing freshness. It’s not complex: it’s direct, honest, and effective. Ideal for those seeking something fresh but with character, without being fleeting. Yes, it’s light, but it doesn’t evaporate instantly. On skin, it lasts about 5 hours, well-presented. As it fades, reapplying it is almost a pleasant ritual, like a refreshing midday break. For those looking for 12 hours, it might be short, but for warm climates and informal settings, the longevity is acceptable. Ideal for very hot days. Light Blue Intense performs especially well in the heat, where other perfumes become heavy. Whether for walking, daytime dates, outdoor dining, or summer work, it delivers perfectly. It doesn’t cloy or invade, but leaves a good impression. What look does it match? Casual, fresh, and polished: linen shirts or light polos, beige or blue chinos or shorts, loafers or clean sneakers, sunglasses, and a simple watch. It doesn’t ask for suits or pretension; it asks for confidence and effortless style.

  • Pleasant, fresh, and discreet. Ideal for summer, but it lasts very little and the trail is scarce; after 15 minutes, it’s almost gone.

  • Fragranticman

Only about the ‘egg’ or sulfurous smell. My experience: it’s the weather. Summer fragrances are for summer (warm weather). If you use them out of season, the bad odor appears. This happened to me with AdG EDT and its clones, with AdG Profondo, and with this one. In cold weather, the AdG EDT smelled like rotting meat, Profondo like port garbage, and this one like sewers. In all three cases, the bad smell only activated in winter. In summer, spring, or autumn (warm phases), I never noticed it. The message is clear: summer fragrances are for summer, winter fragrances are for winter. Respect this rule to avoid embarrassment and don’t force others to smell bad. The rest is equal to the original Light Blue, but with more marine notes and better performance.

  • If you like sweet scents, you won’t like it at first. But over time, you’ll see it’s ideal for heat, the beach, and intense summers. I don’t smell the egg note others mention. At first, the citrus-sea water blend didn’t convince me, but once it dries down, it smells amazing. It’s good if used at the right time. Longevity and projection are good, the price is fair, and it’s perfect for summer. Note: only for very hot climates.

  • Excellent perfume. After 4 months of aging, it smells divine. The egg smell happens if you spray too many times in one spot; max 6 sprays on different points. It’s fresh, clean, marine with a citrus base. I use it year-round because it’s versatile, though summer is its strong suit. It stands out from the crowd, and in Chile, you smell different. Stop bathing in perfume; it’s not better, it just confuses people. Men often spray it all over, including sensitive areas, and reapply frequently, but women prefer softer scents.

  • Hocicosensible

Smells like raw egg white, not rotten. Literally like a sneeze. In short: a terrifying fragrance.

  • Nariz Feliz

The best in the Light Blue line. Better longevity on skin, fresh and elegant—an ideal fragrance for hot climates. Semi-formal to formal, it dresses up very well, perfect for evening outings or walks near the sea. I’m lucky enough not to smell the egg note that causes so much controversy on my skin. One of my favorites from Mr. Morillas.

  • Perfume bomb! It’s a really refreshing fragrance. I think it’s incredible for the beach. Smells amazing—a sour citrus opening that turns into a marine scent, even a bit cool. But the best part is the longevity. Most fresh perfumes I’ve tried don’t last even 5 hours; this one easily lasts 8. I simply can’t understand why some people smell rotten eggs on it. Maybe they’re dirty, which is why they smell that way? Anyway, for me, it’s a 9/10.

  • Great for daily use. I wear it to the gym and university. It’s a scent everyone likes, and you can definitely feel the marine notes.

  • Danilo Godoy

Very good, a rich, fresh aroma with a certain mature touch without feeling ‘formal’ to me. It adds a vibe I really like. Definitely a purchase I’ll repeat when I run out of this bottle.

  • It’s become my daily summer cologne. Pretty good longevity, smells great without being overpowering. The trail is decent—I didn’t notice it myself, but every time I got close to a family member or friend, they commented that I left a very pleasant trail behind.

  • Feli soriano

The perfume that got me the most compliments. In the summer, if you apply a few extra sprays, it projects a lot.

  • I LOVE IT. Along with Aqva Marine, it’s one of my favorite perfumes for everyday life. Citrusy and marine opening, masculine, clean, and graceful. Absolutely spectacular. A very rich perfume, perfect for summer daytime wear, with an addictive initial citrus burst of high quality mixed with marine notes. The intensity drops a bit but stays close to the skin. I’m one of the lucky ones who doesn’t smell the egg note. Great deal—I got the 200ml for $80 on Jomashop. Definitely a hit. I really like it and my nose never gets tired of it. In fact, I wish it were even more intense, haha. An incredibly rich perfume for hot weather. Recommended.

  • The winner from Morillas Light Blue Eau Intense opens with mandarin and grapefruit, a vibrant citrus duo that blends beautifully with Alberto Morillas’ aquatic accord. In the heart, juniper adds a subtle herbal touch, while the dry down reveals clean musk and amberwood, surprising with their potency and longevity. It’s summery, fresh, and versatile, perfect for any age with a profile that feels truly unisex. It shares the original Light Blue’s citrus and herbal opening, but here the difference lies in the aquatic note and musk, which give it more body and modernity. You can even experiment with layering it with the original to enhance nuances. In its final moments, as the fragrance fades, it leaves an intimate and comforting sensation: the scent of freshly washed fine cotton sheets, reinforcing its clean and elegant character. A fresh, aquatic, and well-formulated fragrance that proves summer scents can be both elegant and long-lasting. Rating: 8.5/10. P.S.: On the fifth time I wore it, I finally noticed that weird smell many people talk about. Some describe it as egg, even rotten egg, but for me, that’s an exaggeration. I perceived it more like a fart lasting less than a minute before disappearing completely. After that initial moment, the fragrance returns to being the fresh and clean scent everyone knows.

  • Sergioparfum

Fresh, citrusy, aquatic, and salty—it’s like smelling the waves. Perfect for casual everyday wear. Starts citrusy, slightly tart but not unpleasant, then shifts to wood and finishes with a salty note. Very masculine.

  • There are too many marine perfumes on the market, but few like this. It’s more than sitting on the beach; it’s like being deep in the sea. The first time I didn’t expect much, thinking it would be another one, but I was very wrong. The more I use it, the more I understand what makes it special compared to the rest. Upon spraying, you’re greeted by a fresh, salty, cold air that cuts through the heat, with citrus and cypress. It has a pleasant synthetic nuance with a very present Calone at the start. After 10 minutes, the marine force drops and yields to a very realistic grapefruit, like holding the peel close to your nose, with cypress adding maturity. After two hours, the citrus loses strength and gives way to a very clean musky facet, like entering a dry cleaner, mixed with the mineral and salty notes from the beginning. The incredible part is its performance: being so light and fresh, it defies usual longevity. It starts strong for an hour with the marine-citrus blend; then the grapefruit fades but remains perceptible. At two hours, it decays to a personal bubble that lasts until eight hours. I see it for daytime use, preferably in the heat, where it shines the most. It’s very versatile, perfect for daily wear with casual clothes. It conveys maturity, though not elegance. I like it a lot; it’s different, versatile, and has outstanding performance. It refreshes in the heat and gives a relaxed but mature vibe. Plus, it’s available at a good price today. For me, 9/10.

  • Fresh, classic, and elegant. A great summer option; I’d say the best in that designer line. It has freshness and elegance, it’s not harsh or flashy like others, but it has that point of classic elegance that you can tell.

  • Beautiful perfume. I tried the Light Blue EDT and the Eau Intense, and without a doubt, I’m sticking with this one. I’m not exaggerating when I say it lasted 9 hours on my skin, and I didn’t feel the egg smell that everyone mentions; from 8 to 9 hours, it was just skin scent. It’s a beast, one of the few hits Dolce & Gabbana has had with the Light Blue flankers. Apparently, it’s been discontinued, which is a shame because I didn’t even get to buy one, and now I don’t know what to buy instead.

  • I recommend trying it before buying. It’s fresh and pleasant, but sometimes I feel the marine notes overpower each other, generating that mentioned egg smell. However, I think it’s suggestion based on what we read online, because I showed it to my family, and they didn’t mention that smell; instead, they thought it was fresh and a bit woody at the end. Projection lasts a few hours, but the longevity is beastly on the skin: I got 10 hours with plenty of presence.

  • I had a decant of this years ago and liked it, but never bought the bottle. I saw it at a good price a few months ago and finally got it. I don’t know why I waited so long, but even after years, I find it richer, beyond the initial hype. The opening is fresh but less citrusy than its siblings, quickly giving way to the marine notes. It’s a fresh, charming perfume, super versatile in the heat, suitable for all ages, and one that others enjoy; that marine freshness lasts almost until the end with woody notes. If you find it cheap, it’s almost a blind buy, except for the typical comment about the hard-boiled egg smell, which has never happened to me, but every nose is different. I bought it in mid-2025, and it’s still performing well: good projection for the first hour, another half-hour, and about 6-7 hours of longevity.

  • I don’t have many fragrances, but this is one of the richest in my collection. The opening is a rich, juicy, citrusy grapefruit alongside a tangerine that’s also citrusy and slightly sweet, lasting forever. After 5 minutes, the Calone (sea water) and cypress notes kick in, my favorite part, because you feel a soft marine breeze. Then comes the musk and amberwood, which provide a comfortable, masculine shield over the marine notes. I have the EDT from an Italian 2022 batch, and it’s disappointing compared to the UK version I had. This Intense doesn’t disappoint; it gives you the UK version’s character plus extra performance. Regarding the raw egg smell, I doubt it’s about skin or hygiene; I think it’s each person’s interpretation of the Calone, since my girlfriend says it smells like eggs even from the bottle. In short, if you want something super fresh, masculine, and don’t mind the egg note, get it.

  • pjgallardo

Light Blue Intense is super simple: sea and citrus, a winning combination with incredible nuances and a freshness that many marine perfumes lack. It’s the best designer fragrance for summer. 10/10.

  • I’m new to perfumes, so I’m speaking from my own feelings without pretending to be an expert. The opening is sparkling and refreshing, exactly what you need in the heat. It’s my favorite for sunny days and long walks; the trail stands out, fresh as a breeze. I’ve worn it for biking, running, the gym, work, and the beach; it’s a safe bet for summer. My girlfriend loves it, saying it smells fresh and clean even after hours or a workout. It goes perfectly with summer clothes. Good longevity, and it doesn’t smell like eggs on my skin. It’s an excellent perfume for hot climates, definitely one of my favorites, and I’d buy it again.

  • VincenzoMaggio

If you’re going to buy it without smelling it first, don’t. It happened to me, and I regret it; I didn’t like it. It smells like dirty sand.

  • Finally writing this review; I’ve had the bottle full for ages and never got around to it. It’s a citrus/aromatic blend with marine/musk undertones, opening with a sparkling, cheerful brightness. The grapefruit smells like zesty, sharp citrus on skin, not fruity, while the tangerine adds body without stealing the show. It settles in 10-15 minutes. The heart is the best part: a salty, sweet, refreshing marine accord, like a sunny breeze at the docks, backed by aromatic juniper that just adds depth. It lasts 2-3 hours with strong to moderate projection. The base, featuring musk and amberwood, is the most boring but necessary part; it creates a clean, sensual accord that adds longevity and lasts another 2-3 hours. In short, it smells like a rich, wonderful sunrise at a salty dock. Alberto never misses. This is a top-tier fresh EDP; don’t expect magic longevity, it lasts normally for its DNA, and projection depends on sprays and your skin pH. It’s a unisex masculine scent, ideal for spring and summer days above 77°F. Scent: 8.5/10, Projection: 7-7.5/10, Versatility: 4/10, Price: 6.5/10, Longevity: 7/10 for this type of DNA.
