  I tried it last summer in Barcelona; performance in the heat was decent, but I didn’t love it. It’s an informal unisex scent for warm climates, similar to Virgin Island Water, though this one is less sugary and synthetic. At first, there are plastic-sounding bergamots, then it mutates into citrus with prominent cardamom and creamy woods, plus a hint of sweet peach. That phase is my favorite; even though it smells synthetic, it’s pleasant, like a 90s beach resort. The dry down, about 3 hours later, smells just like Iso E Super, which takes away some charm since it’s the longest-lasting phase. Projects well for the first hour, then stays close to the skin. Lasts a long time, around 8 hours in summer. Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 3/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 5/10.

With this, you buy the bread; with others, you don’t. It reminds me of my mother’s lipstick: a smoky lipstick scent that I adore. The citrus is only at the start and fades quickly, while the spicy, woody base with a vanilla touch lingers. It’s not for impressing; it’s flirty and informal; only stylish people will appreciate its beauty. It might go unnoticed or slowly win you over. I see it as unisex, but more flirty on women (my mother agrees). Can be disappointing if worn incorrectly. Good performance. 7/10

I see it as unisex, but more flirty on women (my mother agrees). If worn in the wrong setting, it disappoints. Good performance. 7/10

  The moment I tried it, I thought of Mancera’s French Riviera. It’s not identical, but it shares a lot of similarities. Perfect for summer, spring, and maybe hot autumns. Longevity and projection are quite good.
