  I own this perfume and recently went to smell the talked-about Symphony in the LV store. Upon smelling it, the only thing I said was ‘wow, they’re the same.’ Having worn Island Dreams so much, I could say it with certainty; it was the exact same scent. An incredibly realistic grapefruit accompanied by this ginger that makes it a bit more sparkling; it’s incredibly well-received by anyone who smells it, men and women alike. I can’t talk much about longevity since neither this nor the Symphony last more than 4-5 hours on me, but I’ve heard people say Island Dreams lasts forever, just as I’ve heard the same about the Symphony. Conclusion: I think you don’t need to buy the Symphony if this fragrance exists. If you’re hesitating on whether to buy it, I’d recommend grabbing it if you see it available. WARNING: I had to let it macerate for a few weeks for it to reach its peak in scent and longevity; if it doesn’t convince you at first, give it a chance.

I can’t talk much about longevity since neither this nor Symphony last more than 4-5 hours on me, though I’ve heard they last forever. Conclusion: you don’t need to buy Symphony if this exists. If you’re unsure, buy it if you can find it. WARNING: I had to let it macerate for a few weeks to reach its peak. If it doesn’t convince you at first, give it a chance.

  I’m not comparing it to LV because I don’t know how it smells or haven’t tried it. Influenced by influencers praising it, I bought this clone and it’s not that great. The opening is citrusy and sweet, seems like it will please, but the dry down is horrible. This happens with most Arab perfumes; in my collection only Liquidi Brun rests. Island Dreams is cheap in every sense: bad quality, bad longevity and zero projection. I’ll use it at the gym because with luck it lasts an hour doing cardio. In the dry down it seems to have a personality crisis: it doesn’t decide whether to be citrusy, mossy, herbal, musky or earthy. In short, it’s synthetic, there it has succeeded. Don’t buy without trying, it smells like fly spray from Mercadona.

  Smells amazing. Not my usual style, but it’s very citrusy; the opening is an effervescent lemon explosion. It has presence, it’s fresh and great for the heat. Edit: over time I’ve grown to like it more. It no longer smells like lemon but grapefruit and bergamot. Very citrusy, elegant and perfect for a hot day.

  I really liked it. On my skin it’s sweet and gentle: the bergamot doesn’t sparkle, it blends with the grapefruit in a round, soft nuance. The ginger is contained, not spicy. As it dries, the musk dominates, giving a clean and comfortable sensation rather than elegant, while the ambroxan amplifies that neat and enveloping trail. Lasts about six hours with moderate sillage and notable projection at first. Very economical and worth it. I don’t know the LV, so I’m not comparing it.

  Honestly, I thought Symphony was mediocre at first; it smelled good but a bit feminine and boring. Over time I’ve evolved and now I get the hype. Even though it still feels overpriced, Island Dreams does it for a fraction of the cost. I just notice it’s a bit more synthetic, but it’s great and I like it more and more.

Longevity is around six hours, with moderate sillage and noticeable projection in the first two hours. It’s very affordable and totally worth it. I don’t know the LV version, so I prefer not to make comparisons.

  I remember loving Symphony and quickly searched for this dupe. It smells similar, though I maybe expected more. It also reminds me of Dior Homme Cologne. Rich, plain and simple.

  I perceive a citrus fragrance but with a touch of peach. That note isn’t listed, but on my skin and my nose, that’s exactly what it smells like. Longevity and sillage are average. I notice quality components, very little synthetic, considering the low price. It’s very pleasant for summer and spring.

  Sorry, but this smells like coriander. I tested it on blotting paper and it smelled like bad coriander. If anyone knows if it changes when applied to skin, I’d appreciate it.

  Sounds citrusy with a peach note not listed in the specs, but that’s exactly what it projects on my skin. Lasting power is average, but the ingredients feel high quality and not too synthetic for such a low price. Perfect for spring and summer.
