Armani Code Parfum by Giorgio Armani

It’s my everyday office signature. People always comment on how good I smell; it has real projection and longevity. With 10 sprays, I last from 9 AM to 11 PM without touching it or reapplying. I see it more as a daytime scent than for night, works for any season including summer, though maybe the EDP would be better here. Smells marine and elegant, with woody bergamot. Comes with 125ml plus an extra 15ml for reapplication, fantastic. I give it 9/10 for projection, longevity, and price.

Straight to the point: based on longevity and value, honestly, I wouldn’t buy it again. If you don’t have it, don’t spend your money on it; look for another alternative with the same profile.

For me, it’s like a slightly sugared lemon, then iris with woods and a floral touch. Awesome.

Subtle and elegant scent, far from the usual sweet trends. The minimalist black bottle holds a sophisticated liquid. It starts fresh with acidic bergamot peel, then the powdery aniseed iris from the Code line emerges, darkening with lily root and the sweetness of tonka bean and cedar. Perfect for semi-formal or formal dates, with a sensual and mature touch. Refined and consistent with the original, where iris and cedar dominate. As a Parfum, the fresh opening is a bit confusing regarding performance, which could be stronger, but its strength is class, not potency.

A faithful homage to that classic from years ago. I’ve been maturing with many perfumes in my collection for years; I have a natural nose and, at 31, I know how to appreciate a good scent. I’ve passed through gems in their prime like Aqua Di Gio, 212, Versace, and YSL, learning how to wear perfume when there was no ‘hype’. Then came Arabic perfumery and trends, which I adapted to. When I was 25, I went out with friends wearing classic Armani Code while others used fresh scents like Versace. Years later, looking for something similar, I found this gem and bought it blind. It’s a complete gem, a tribute to elegant but fun men. I won’t talk about notes because its spirit speaks for itself. We miss the old Code, but this Parfum is two steps up, better than those days. RIP Giorgio, in his legacy gems like this will always remain. I’ll tell my kids.

PERFUME BOMB! All caps. It’s by far the best CODE of the three. I totally agree with Antonio from FragranceX: it’s the most versatile, freshest, and has the best performance. In my opinion, the EDT is watery and the EDP is too sweet. I tried it yesterday at Primor on Puerta del Sol at 7:30 PM. I got home at 11:00 PM and there were still wonderful bursts. By night I could smell it (I have light sleep) and this morning it was still on my arm. After showering and water hitting it, it revitalized. It lasts 10 hours (the last ones very close to the skin). Citrus and clean opening with bergamot and aldehydes, then it becomes soapy and clean with a sweet tonka bean base. It’s mega-versatile: can be a signature scent, for special occasions, for going out at night… whatever you want. Like the reviewer below, I spent several bottles of the original Code between 2006 and 2009. This Parfum version is the closest to that masterpiece without being identical. It’s more polished and crisp. The projection is 3 hours: it’s not a titan or beast mode, but you feel it perfectly. The trail is wonderful, I walked back over my steps and smelled it clearly. My wife loved it. I’ll add it to my collection. It’s a MUST HAVE. 10/10.

Wonderful, an iris version closer to Prada than to Dior. Clean, elegant, and sophisticated. Everything is right with Code Parfum.

A good perfume to wear with a shirt and tie is Armani Code Parfum. Tonka, powdery iris parts, and aromatic herbal caresses that stand out above all. The bubble and dry-down are supremely pleasant. For men who want to leave a mark, yes or yes.

Jose, Caravan 16 is a clone of Armani Code, but the EDT, the Parfum version brings other notes and is a more complete and better scent, of course.

Since I smelled it at the perfumerie, I can’t stop thinking about it. It features a bright, powdery aromatic iris that intoxicates from the opening to the dry down, without forgetting the tonka bean that gives it the sweetness I’m obsessed with. It beats the EDT’s lavender. It’s super versatile: for daily wear, the office, a date, or something formal. Scent: 10/10, Projection: 6.5/10, Longevity: 8.5/10.

Armani Code is synonymous with discreet elegance. I consider it ideal for cold nights, special occasions, or going out. It has that mysterious vibe that doesn’t invade but leaves a mark. Its longevity is good, around 6-8 hours, with moderate projection that stays close to the skin. It conveys maturity and confidence effortlessly.

Armani Code Parfum has a rich opening with spicy and woody notes that projects a clean office gentleman vibe. As it dries down, it smells like vanilla cream or ice cream thanks to the vanilla and tonka. I was disappointed by the longevity, though spraying it more often or using a decant makes it work great. I find it suitable for daily use, the office, work, or studying—perfect for enclosed spaces. 6/10.

Armani’s men’s commercial line only has three divisions: Stronger With You, Acqua Di Gio, and Armani Code. You wonder why they don’t release new proposals, but Armani is Armani. Their market research is huge, and all their new flankers are designed to please and become bestsellers. For Armani Code, in 2022, they took a risk with this proposal, jumping straight from the classic 90s EDT to the Parfum version, without betting on an EDP that eventually came out in 2024. A bold move that paid off big time. Wearing this is like being in a pleasant dream; it might not last as long as you’d like, but it’s a dream after all. It’s a totally versatile office fragrance, designed to please both men and women. You can wear it 24/7 at work, on dates, or for daily use, keeping in mind it has a short sillage, perfect for a refined and elegant man. Performance improves considerably compared to the EDT without reaching beast mode status, but the addition of iris makes it somewhat more unisex. However, when you wear it with a shirt and add your own personality, there’s no doubt about your masculine aura wherever you go. My favorite fragrance right now, 10/10. Fully recommended.
