A precious vetiver fragrance, super bright and alive. It flows with a very gentle vetiver mixed with citrus, where lime stands out, along with some floral touches and mint, and a slightly sweet base. It smells like a luxury beach hotel. Ideal for daytime use. Excellent for warm climates and with casual or semi-formal attire.
Well-named, Vetiver Sensuel. This vetiver is attractive, inviting you to smell closer. It smells like someone with good vibes, energized. The opening is exquisite and the dry-down is glorious. At first, those vigorous citrus notes hit you, and then in the dry-down it becomes more mature and even more ‘sensual’. I loved it; it will be a recurring choice for summer and spring outings.
What a well-chosen name for Vetiver Sensuel. This vetiver is attractive and invites you to get closer. It smells like someone with great vibes and high energy. The opening is exquisite, and the dry-down is glorious. At first, those invigorating citrus notes hit you hard, but as it settles, it becomes more mature and even more ‘sensual’. I loved it; it will definitely be a go-to for summer and spring outings.
What a pleasant surprise; this vetiver is a must if you like Cartier Declaration of a Soir! It comes with vetiver and cypress, without that underlying rose, but with flowers that make it very similar to Soir—sparkling and with a delicious salty-sweet aroma. Use it whenever you want if you love it…
Don’t be fooled; there’s little to no vetiver here. It’s a scent with citrus accords, Mancera style, nothing natural. What surprises me is its poor performance: the house usually lasts and projects more, but this isn’t one of them, and it smells synthetic. Totally dispensable. I bought it blind thinking it would be a summer vetiver, but there’s no vetiver here.
Such a cool scent. I tested four fragrances on my skin, and this one stands out with a super clean, bright development from start to finish. It feels very green and fresh, but not because of the vetiver—thanks to the patchouli, mint, and woods. It’s ideal for personal enjoyment; it’s not a powerhouse in projection, though a few sprays cover well for the first two hours. My vibe is more about personal use. It lasts about 8 hours, which is no bad thing for what I was looking for.
What a lovely scent. I tested 4 fragrances on my skin, and this one has a clean, bright development from start to finish. It feels green and fresh, but not because of vetiver—rather from patchouli, mint, and woods. It’s rich enough to enjoy on its own; it’s not a projection bomb, but with a few more applications, it covers well for the first two hours. My feeling is more of personal use. Longevity is about 8 hours, not bad for what I was looking for.
Hello. Mancera Vetiver Sensuel is listed on the web only for men. It smells like freshly cut grass and a green spring field. It’s direct: it starts with a balsamic citrus punch, like throwing yourself into fruit. Then comes a huge mint note that dominates the orchid and patchouli and doesn’t leave until the very end. The vetiver and woods appear lightly at first and shine in the base, well-blended with amber that sweetens them and adds a powdery touch. Whether it’s sensual or not, it makes you feel vetiver: clear, clean, and universal. It’s a beast if you like citrus and vetiver, ideal for spring and summer as you please. Try it on your skin before buying.
Hello. Vetiver Sensuel is available on the official Mancera website only in the men’s fragrance section. It smells like freshly cut grass, crushed herbs, and generally the rustic green of a spring countryside. It’s an ‘eau de parfum’ that goes straight to the point. It begins with a balanced but punchy citrus explosion, almost balsamic. For me, it’s an immediate citrus ‘punch’, like throwing yourself over a pile of fruit balls. Then comes a huge burst of mint that laughs at the tiny notes of orchid and patchouli. The mint doesn’t leave until the very end. The vetiver and woods are faint at first but take center stage in the base. In this final part, they blend well with the amber, which sweetens them and adds a powdery touch. Whether it’s sensual or not, what it definitely does is make you feel soaked in vetiver. It’s a clear, clean vetiver with a universal profile. It’s an amazing fragrance if you like vetivers with citrus, perfect for spring and summer. I recommend testing it on skin before buying.
Many say it’s nothing special and that Terre d’Hermes is better, but for me, they couldn’t be further apart. While Terre is more serious, this is much more vibrant and has a natural vetiver aroma (that root that many don’t recognize, as there are two species). It has a lot of natural raw materials and few synthetics. It smells like soft vetiver with a fresh green mint touch and a prominent citrus part: not acidic like others, but fruity, like sweet orange or lemon, even bergamot. The orchid adds an aquatic touch; combined with the vetiver and mint, it creates a sensation of a wet forest, and the amber gives a slight soapy note that makes it super clean. Definitely smells super vibrant. For me, it’s much better than any Terre d’Hermes I’ve sold because I found them boring; even Eau Givrée bothered me with its metallic notes, but this one doesn’t. It corrects the boredom of that line. A marvel, with good longevity and projection on the skin. 👍
I see many saying it’s nothing special and that Terre d’Hermes is better, but for me, they couldn’t be further apart. While Terre is more serious, this is much more vibrant and smells like natural vetiver (for those who haven’t heard of pure oils, it’s a fascinating root). It has a lot of natural material and few synthetics. It smells like soft vetiver, fresh green mint, and fruity citrus—like sweet orange or lemon, even bergamot—not acidic like Must. The orchid adds an aquatic touch; combined with the vetiver and mint, it evokes a wet forest, while the amber adds a slight soapy note that makes it super clean. Definitely smells super vibrant. For me, it’s much better than any Terre d’Hermes I’ve owned or sold because I found them boring, even Eau Givrée bothered me with its metallic notes. This fragrance corrects that boredom. It’s a marvel with good longevity and projection on the skin. 👍
I’m a lifelong fan of aromas and know essential oils, so I recognize vetiver well: it’s resinous, dark, and has that defining ‘noisy’ and medicinal character. Alone, it’s not the most pleasant; it vibrates like myrrh, but combined with other scents and the citrus (or cypress-like) notes, it creates magic. Here, the citrus is felt at the start, not true to nature or distinct from each other, but they are there. I’ll admit I haven’t felt the mint yet (maybe I should wait for it to settle). In summary, it’s a blend of predominant vetiver with citrus and soft orchid; the rest of the notes fade into the background. Sensual? Yes, it invites you to smell more and get closer. It’s not sweet or cloying, nor an ambassador of freshness; it’s green, resinous, floral, and spring-like. I’m wearing it now in spring (Southern Hemisphere) in the morning, and it gives me energy and determination. Occasions? Semi-formal and casual, exuding class without smelling cheap. I recommend testing before buying or going blind only if you’re a vetiver lover and it fascinates you, like with Encre Noire, Terre d’Hermes, or Cartier Declaration. It also has a unique spark in warm evenings, watch out.
I’m an old-timer when it comes to collecting scents and oils, so I recognize that natural, dark, slightly medicinal vetiver vibrating like myrrh. It shines on its own, but with the citrus and cypress, it creates magic. At first, you get citrus notes, though they aren’t true to nature or very distinct. I’ll admit I haven’t detected the mint yet; maybe I just need to let the fragrance settle. It’s a blend of strong vetiver, citrus, and soft orchid; the rest fades into the background. It’s sensual, inviting you to get closer—not sweet or cloying, nor a fresh-faced ambassador, but green, resinous, floral, and spring-like. I wear it in the morning during spring (Southern Hemisphere) and it gives me energy and determination. It works well for semi-formal or casual occasions, exuding class without looking cheap. I recommend testing it before buying, or going blind only if you’re a vetiver fan like with Encre Noire or Terre d’Hermes. It has a unique spark in warm evenings.
