Descripción

Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Green Stravaganza by Valentino is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp. Its olfactory structure unfolds with a top note of Calabrian bergamot, which gives way to a heart of coffee and settles on a base of vetiver.

It’s a ‘green’ scent (super woody, aromatic, and slightly citrusy) I don’t know how to describe it; it didn’t disgust me, but it feels too much like an Eris. I saw a lot of hype for what it actually is; it’s not a bad perfume, in fact I liked it, but it’s very similar to others that already exist and are even more impressive. 6.3/10

I just tried it. I like it, but I’d save the money and buy Halloween Man X without a second thought.

  • I bought it because I loved the sample and I have no regrets. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin without issues and evolves beautifully over time; in fact, it smells more and more like coffee and draws attention. Two people asked me about it at work on the first day I wore it.

  • Tested at Druni, another disappointment from L’Oréal with this line. Thinking about what the Valentino Uomo line used to be with Puig and seeing what it’s become now is heartbreaking; there’s no coffee to be found, the projection is less than half an hour, the longevity is short and it stays right on the skin… I’ll keep praying to the god Valentino Uomo Intense from 2016 and ignore everything that came after…

  • I haven’t tried the entire Valentino Born in Roma line (only 2 or 3), but it’s clear they’re not for my skin. I complain about the longevity of Acqua di Gio, but I swear I’m not lying when I say these barely last 30 minutes on me. The scent doesn’t speak to me either, but even if it were the most enchanting fragrance in the world, it wouldn’t matter because this just can’t be worn. It might be my skin, but I strongly recommend not buying blind or just smelling it on the tester. My advice is to test it on your skin and give it time to see how it behaves during the first or second hour if possible.

  • I tried it the other day at Primor and honestly, I really liked it. I didn’t buy it because of the price and because I already have quite a few perfumes, and it didn’t convince me enough to spend that much money, but it was very delicious.

  • Andresvera96

I loved it from start to finish, a novel fragrance that grabs attention, with a very rich opening just like its dry down.

  • Edgar Ferreri

Holy crap, the first thing I smelled was coffee with spices and it made me gag. It’s one of the few perfumes that not only don’t I like, but it actually bothers me.

  • Diego Cayetano

I bought it a month ago; I like the scent quite a bit, but the performance leaves something to be desired for the price. Still, I notice it’s fresh and slightly sweet with the coffee. I recommend it if you can find it for under 50€.

I happened to notice it by the bottle and tested it on my skin. I loved the citrus opening with that characteristic bergamot, and soon my favorite coffee note appeared, a coffee that smells like the bean, not brewed coffee. The vetiver is noticeable in the background, very faint, only if you press your nose right against the skin. I loved the scent but… if I didn’t press my nose against the skin, I couldn’t smell it. Non-existent sillage. A letdown. I would have bought it the next day if not for this flaw, as I don’t like feeling like I’m not wearing anything. What a pity because it smells wonderful, but for its price, that’s where it stops.

People see fruity notes and say ‘pure herb’, smell ambroxan and say ‘Sauvage’, detect vanilla and think ‘Stronger with You’, sense amber and imagine ‘1 Million’, smell coconut and think ‘Le Beau/Coco Vanille’, and detect tobacco and think ‘The One’. This has coffee and bears NO resemblance to Halloween X. Usually, people vote without knowing. Don’t pay attention to the ratings… this shares the same DNA as VBIN (similar to Coral Fantasy) but is less sweet.

Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Green Stravaganza is citrus-fruity, woody, sweet, and coffee-scented. The opening is citrus-fruity and sweet, like gummy candies or panditas here in Mexico, a pleasant scent that partly recalls Uomo Born in Roma. A few minutes later, a woody coffee accord emerges, like a cream or liqueur, though it never dominates because it’s always behind some sweet fruit. Vanilla is also noticeable at the end. Green Stravaganza is for daily wear, in mild weather, spring, autumn, and winter, and summer only on cool days due to its sweetness. I think it will appeal to a youthful audience, but anyone can try it. Occasions: school, casual day or night outings. Longevity wasn’t bad; on me it lasted about 8 hours, but the sillage is intimate.

Born in Roma dry down: herbal opening with a touch of brewed coffee (not the bean, but the kind you drink).

  • A citrus-sweet scent that leans into a sweet woody dry down, ideal for almost any occasion. Reminded me of Coral Fantasy but less sweet at the start and without that marked tobacco leaf. I really liked it. It’s versatile, for young and serious people who don’t want to draw attention, since the projection isn’t great compared to other Valentino Uomo scents. That’s why it’s perfect for personal enjoyment or for letting those close to you notice it. The negatives are longevity and price; the longevity isn’t fleeting but it’s the weakest link in the line. As for the price, there are cheaper citrus-sweet options with subtle projection, though the scent feels original and uncommon. EDIT: It has nothing to do with Halloween Man X; it’s much more similar to Coral Fantasy.

  • Wearing it for three hours and it’s still dominating with citrus; by the fourth hour I dropped down to a coffee note, and by the end of the day it’s all wood. Will update later. Dries down dry, creamy, with spicy and herbal touches. Very rich.

  • Perfumoreno

Smells like a modern 30-year-old man, with classic touches following the Born in Roma line. Perfect for everyday wear in mild or hot weather, easily a signature scent. In short, SPECTACULAR!!!

  • Very pleasant and masculine perfume. I bought it in summer, but now that it’s cold, that’s when I really enjoy it, as the scent isn’t overpowering. It lasts about 6 hours on the skin and over 12 on clothes. The coffee and vetiver make the difference. It’s not a blind buy, but a solid recommendation for guys who like coffee, oud, or similar scents.

A Valentino that fails to meet expectations. When I saw Green Stravaganza on the shelves, I couldn’t help but be drawn in by the name and the brand’s reputation. As a fan of Valentino Uomo, I was excited to try something new, but after testing it, I found a fragrance that, while not bad, didn’t meet my high expectations. The opening with Calabria bergamot is fresh and vibrant, but it loses strength quickly and settles into common ground. The coffee, which I hoped would add depth, feels subtle and lacks the intensity I anticipated. The vetiver in the base adds a woody foundation but doesn’t stand out enough to give it a unique identity. The big problem is that, although it’s not unpleasant, it gets overshadowed by other Valentino perfumes like Coral Fantasy or Uomo Intense, which offer more complexity, longevity, and character. In comparison, Green Stravaganza feels generic, like it follows a safe formula without the risk I was hoping for. I bought it blindly because it’s Valentino and the name, but in the end, it’s pleasant but nothing memorable. It fades fast, and if you’re looking for something more impactful, you’re better off with other options from the house. What disappointed me most is that at the price in Chile (120,000 – 126,000 CLP), there are other fragrances with better quality, longevity, and originality. For that amount, one could expect something bolder or longer-lasting. Pros: pleasant initial citrus freshness, perfect for casual occasions or warm weather, not invasive or heavy. Cons: fades quickly, lack of originality and complexity compared to other Valentino fragrances, doesn’t have the presence expected from a luxury brand, and there are better options at that price. Final score: 6/10. Green Stravaganza is acceptable but lacks the impact you expect from a Valentino. If you’re looking for something refreshing and simple for everyday use, it might work, but if you expected something bolder or longer-lasting, you’ll be disappointed. And at that price, there are more interesting options.

What a great perfume; it’s quite unique (at least different from my collection of about 50). For those who’ve been to the countryside and smelled green coffee, it smells pretty much like that mixed with woods and a citrus touch. I loved it; it’s versatile and memorable because it’s easy to wear but still special. I recommend it. By the way, it’s not as youthful as the others in the line, nor is it mature (I understand why many fans of the line might not like it).

  • Oscar Segovia

Smells cheap, MUUUYYYYY TOO CHEAP!!!!!!. It’s an Ulrich by Varens that costs $10 or less. Generic and cheap to the point of being a scam.

  • Reminded me of a cheap, soulless version of Givenchy Very Irresistible. Lasts less and projects less. Smells like bitter coffee with sweet lemon and something creamy from the vetiver, which is well-placed, but the coffee smells synthetic and plasticky. The notes caught my attention, but on the skin, it was a waste. I think only guys under 18 can pull it off because it’s not mysterious or characterful, just kinda playful. Try before you buy; it doesn’t seem dark or date-worthy, just casual.

  • I know some don’t like it, but I love fresh and citrusy fragrances. It’s totally fresh, with bergamot accords but acidic like lemon and a bit sweet. Very modern and youthful, ideal for everyday city life. For me, it’s a safe bet to smell fresh and good. It doesn’t smell cheap; in fact, I think it’s better than the Spirit Legend by Mont Blanc, though it’s a bit less versatile.

  • xavi40rios

I bought it on a whim for my high school graduation last year and wow. For an EDT, it’s a bomb of citrus and coffee. The dry bergamot makes it fresh yet warm, perfect for that hot night. It was the best purchase of the year: worth every penny, great price, and good longevity. The coffee makes it stand out in a crowd. I’d give it 9.5/10; if it were an EDP or Parfum, it would be perfect.

  • If you’re looking for something different, it’s a delight. It reminds me of Halloween Man X but with a much more premium touch. Smells incredible, and if you move around a bit, you’ll find it at a super accessible price.

  • carloslopezz

Another masterpiece from the BiR line. Here you get coffee notes you won’t find in other releases of the saga. Spectacular for everyday wear in hot weather or even for going out at night. Very versatile. Don’t buy blindly because the coffee note isn’t that common and might not be to everyone’s taste.

  • Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Green Stravaganza is a sexy, bold fragrance that takes its own path within the Born in Roma line. With a citrus and green route, accompanied by a light breeze of sweet coffee and a woody base, it presents a unique profile that sets it apart from the rest of the family. While it shares some traits with Halloween Man X, Green Stravaganza is much softer and creamier, lacking the alcoholic notes of the latter. It also evokes memories of Givenchy’s Very Irresistible for Men, though only in its citrus-with-coffee profile. However, it’s a linear fragrance that maintains its essence from start to finish, changing only in intensity. Unfortunately, longevity is its weak point. It lasts about 5 hours, with decent projection only for the first hour. The trail is moderate at first but shrinks to a personal bubble afterward. In summary, it’s a captivating and sensual fragrance with a distinct profile. Despite its limited longevity, its linear and soft nature makes it an attractive option for those seeking something fresh and creamy, ideal for temperate and warm climates. Its versatility makes it perfect for various daytime occasions: work, meetings, romantic dates, and casual outings.

  • An elegant coffee scent. If you think the Born in Roma line is just sweet, party-ready youth, stop and smell this. Valentino has hit the brakes to offer something serious, mature, and dare I say, the most elegant in the collection. Forget the clubs. It opens with a fleeting bergamot, lasts just long enough to order your first coffee, and then—boom!—the star note arrives. It’s not generic or watery coffee; it’s the most realistic coffee aroma you can fit in a bottle. Imagine your favorite café: an espresso with a drizzle of syrup spilling onto your linen shirt. That sweet, roasted hit, warm and familiar. But the magic doesn’t stop there; just as the sweetness could get cloying, the vetiver saves the day. It’s not just any vetiver; it’s dry, woody, and almost powdery. That earthy, woody note transforms the coffee spill into a statement of intent, giving it a sober, crisp vibe, like a tailored suit. It achieves that balance of being delicious without being sugary. Definitely not for breaking the rules at a party; it’s for the guy who prefers quiet dinners, a good book, or a work meeting where he wants to project confidence without shouting. If you’re obsessed with the coffee scent and looking for something with character for day or night, Green Stravaganza is an excellent choice. It deserves a 7/10 for daring to be different within its family.

  • For some reason, it smelled different in the store than it does now that I own it. It smells good but isn’t anything special. It’s a sweet little freshie; I think it has zero projection because several times people asked if I was wearing perfume, and they only said ‘yes’ when I got really close.

  • I absolutely hated it. It’s a bad perfume for young people. The vetiver gives it an old-man vibe, and although it’s marketed as fresh, it came off sweet and dated to me. Honestly, it gave me nausea. The only thing I liked was the green bottle color, which is my favorite lol. Cheers.

  • Ing. DelaCroix

I like it, but not for the cost; neither the longevity nor the projection. Lucky I got a free decant… Its biggest flaw is that you can’t smell it from a distance.

  • I was gifted a decant, and while it smells good, it doesn’t deliver the longevity it deserves for its price.

  • scentedjimenq

Smells great, balanced, and uncomplicated. Starts with a pleasant bergamot (not sour) and evolves into a soft coffee scent—no milk, no heavy roast—blended with vetiver. Ideal for young men (28-50) who prefer something fresh, avoiding alcohol or heavy woods. Sophisticated in its simplicity.

  • First try, it smelled like apple to me, which I loved. Recommended. If I had the cash right now, I’d buy it, but for now, I’m saving it for later.
