The opening smells like the bottle’s color: very vanilla and sweet. The jasmine reminds me of Angel Elixir, but it didn’t kill me.
From the box to the scent, it’s all green: grass with a touch of vanilla and a very subtle earthiness, maybe from the black tea. It’s fresh and slightly sweet, with florals that don’t overpower the tea and citrus. Very different from other designer scents; if you like this style, give it a try.
It starts green and natural, then turns sweet and floral without being heavy. I find it pleasant, though I don’t feel it brings anything truly new.
I can’t find any green notes or tea. It’s a typical sweet commercial perfume, very generic.
I can’t find any greenery or tea in it at all. It’s just a typical sweet commercial perfume. Very generic.
It has become my favorite. It feels fresh yet floral (if that’s even possible), lasts forever, and is totally spring-like. It’s a marvel, hands down the best of all the Born in Roma perfumes.
I went to try it hoping it would be similar to Rosa Verde. At first, it was, but then it suddenly changed and became unbearable; it gave me a coughing fit and nausea. I don’t know which ingredient it is, but if you’re sensitive, don’t buy it blindly.
It keeps the sweet, vanilla-based, super-feminine base of the original, but the opening smells like soft, aromatic green grass. On skin, it lasts about 4-5 hours feeling great, then fades until it disappears after 7-8 hours. In hair, it lasts until you shower. I absolutely loved it.
It keeps the base of the original: sweet, vanilla-like, and super feminine, but the dry down is different, smelling of soft, aromatic green grass. On skin, it lasts well for 4–5 hours and then fades to almost nothing by 7–8 hours. On hair, it lasts until you shower. I’ve loved it.
If you’re looking for something fresh, this Valentino is for you. I bought it after reading reviews and studying the notes; it didn’t convince me at first in the store, but after walking around, I went back to buy it. At home, once applied to my skin, it was another world—I fell in love. It’s rich, fresh, green, and acidic just like the bottle; I didn’t detect the tea, but after half an hour, a fine vanilla note emerges and lingers. It lasts about 4 hours like other fresh scents, so you need to reapply. It’s one of my summer perfumes, always on hand. Of the Born in Roma line, this is definitely the best for me.
If you’re looking for something fresh, this is the one from Valentino. I bought it based on reviews and studied the notes. In the store at first, it wasn’t what I imagined, but after walking around, I came back and bought it. At home, before opening it, I hesitated because I didn’t like the notes there. I took a shower and applied it to my skin: what a difference! I fell in love. It’s rich, fresh, green, and acidic like the bottle. I didn’t smell the tea, but after half an hour, a fine vanilla scent appears and stays with you. The longevity is typical for a freshie: about 4 hours, you reapply, and you’re good. It’s one of my summer perfumes, it doesn’t disappoint, and I always keep it on hand. It’s the best Born in Roma for me.
It’s a rich, sweet perfume I can tolerate, but I think it’s more for everyday wear. It doesn’t have much longevity or sillage. Given the price, I expected something stronger for evening, but it’s very soft. I wouldn’t spend money on it.
A few years ago, I was a huge fan of the original Born in Roma, but none of its flankers captivated me until I saw this green bottle and tried it. I was pleasantly surprised: the opening is super fresh, with a sweet, pleasant green touch, nothing acidic. As it dries down, it blends with the jasmine and the soft wood from the line, which I like. It lasts about 6-7 hours with good projection at the start. It feels more feminine and is ideal for spring/summer. If I find it at a good price, I’ll buy it now since I don’t have the original anymore.
I love it. I’m one of the few who smells a lactonic note in it; to me, it reminds me of Good Girl Légère. It’s like green tea with milk and sugar: sweet, creamy, with herbal touches and sometimes citrus. I tried the original DBIR and it didn’t do anything for me, but this one really caught my interest. Longevity and sillage are average for designer perfumes today, so there’s not much to be done. I recommend it if you want something fresh, sweet, and creamy all at once.
I love it. I’m part of the minority that finds it lactonic; it reminds me of Good Girl Legere. It feels like green tea with milk and sugar: sweet, creamy, herbal, and sometimes citrusy. I tried the original DBIR and it did nothing for me, but this one works. The longevity is average for designer perfumes today, but there’s nothing to be done about that. I recommend it if you want something fresh, sweet, and creamy all at once.
I tried it in a store and was told it was new and exactly what I was looking for; on paper it seemed normal, so I left. Later, at a hotel duty-free shop, I tested it on my skin and absolutely loved it: it smells like sweet yet fresh tea. I went back to ask the price, thought it was worth it, bought it, and kept testing it—it was addictive. It lasts about 4 hours, then leaves a faint rose impression.
I tried it in a store near my house, and the salesperson said it was new and exactly what I was looking for. On paper, it seemed normal, so I left, but later I smelled it again at duty free: it smelled like sweet, fresh tea. I went back, sprayed it on, and couldn’t stop sniffing myself—it was addictive. I bought the bottle. It lasts about 4 hours, then leaves a light rosey trail.
When I tried it, it reminded me of perfumes from when I was 10 years old, those Avon ones; I think it’s the jasmine. It’s the only one I haven’t liked.
Reminds me of the Avon perfumes I used to wear when I was 10, probably because of the jasmine, which is the only note I don’t like.
It’s a perfume that convinced me on the third try. The first time I tested it on blotter, it was flat; I only felt that tea note, nothing more. The second time I put it on skin, I felt that jasmine note that made it feel floral and very little sweet, but it still felt green and verbal. Finally, I decided to wear it as I use it, and I realized that at least on me, it has a duration of more than 6 hours, with an intimate trail that doesn’t overwhelm. It’s already in my collection and has become one of my favorites.
It’s a completely winter perfume, even a little heat in autumn turns me off because I find it cloying and heavy, but in winter with the cold, it’s amazing; sweet and floral, I sense something special about it. From my point of view, it has nothing to do with the original (the rose).
A delicious fragrance for daily wear, but it’s too expensive to be a daily. What a pity.
I bought it blindly, which is something I swear I won’t do again, but then things like this happen; love at first sniff, and my good intentions go out the window. It’s sweet and floral; I don’t detect any powder note anywhere.
When I first discovered these perfumes, I tried the original and loved it; everyone was showing it off to me. It’s a party or night perfume for me. Later, my sister got samples of this one and I didn’t like it at all; I felt it was very green and very floral. I decided to give it a chance for the office and to wear it during the day, and I loved it. On my skin, it feels like a rich sweet without being cloying, with vanilla but nothing overwhelming; it’s a very wearable, sweet, feminine, floral, and vanilla scent, even elegant. I love it.
It’s a wonderful perfume, one of my favorites; fresh, clean, and long-lasting, a true delight.
It’s a wonder: fresh, clean, long-lasting, and a true delight.
Smells exactly as described, meh, I don’t see anything standout.
It’s a good perfume and I was surprised by the trail it leaves on my skin. However, for my taste, it’s too green. It smells like a tea bag to me; it’s elegant but very herbal. As a fresh perfume, I usually prefer fruitier and juicier options, and this leans more towards a green profile that just doesn’t fit my style. I think it could work great for people looking for this type of profile, but in my case, it’s not a fragrance I feel identified with.
My favorite Valentino flanker so far. I have to admit the opening seemed a bit masculine due to the tea note, but as time passes, the perfume becomes sweet and creamy without losing its fresh side. It’s a delicious perfume perfect for everyday wear, nothing cloying, easy to wear, and different from what I have in my collection. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin.
It’s a super pleasant fragrance in every facet (it varies a lot on blotter, not so much on skin). The opening is super fresh, like a freshly cut, damp, clean meadow. If there’s a tea note, it’s fresh leaves. Then it evolves into a very nice, fresh jasmine. This is the dominant stage, lasting about 4 hours with good sillage and projection. Afterwards, a soft vanilla remains, more of a skin scent that I can detect 8-9 hours later. It’s not a contrasting aroma; it’s simple but fresh, light, and sweet. I use it quite a bit for the gym.
