Voce Viva by Valentino is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2020, this composition was created by Honorine Blanc and Amandine Clerc-Marie. Its olfactive structure unfolds with top notes of mandarin, bergamot, and ginger; a floral heart of orange blossom and gardenia; and a warm, enveloping base of vanilla, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood, and oakmoss.

  • It smells ‘okay’ but doesn’t last a second… it’s something pleasant with white flowers in the line of Armani My Way or L’Interdit… but definitely more common than those, too light to be an image fragrance for Lady Gaga.

  • If you tell me it’s a Zara fruity perfume, I’ll believe it… it’s really a light fragrance without soul or body, one of those mass-market, cheap perfumes. It reminds me of Zara’s Violet Blossom; I have to admit Violet Blossom has more body and better performance than this. I love Zara perfumes and they’re not bad for the price, but this is an expensive perfume that smells like Zara.

  • I don’t know how many fragrances with this structure I’ve tried this year… Voce Viva doesn’t offer anything new. It has a fresh, sparkling opening, a heart of white flowers with citrus notes where orange blossom stands out, and a base that becomes sweeter, creamier, and vanilla-like. You’ve probably heard of it. Pleasant, maybe even cheerful and sunny, but nothing more. A new launch that bored me. I don’t doubt the perfumers did a good job with the concept they were given, but Valentino’s idea for this perfume feels too clichéd now. Moderate sillage and about 6 hours of longevity on my skin. Scent 5.5/10, Longevity 6.5/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 4/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? No, I didn’t.

  • A very common aroma, nothing innovative. As they say, it smells like a thousand other fragrances we’ve smelled. A slightly sweet orange blossom and nothing else. It smells good but doesn’t stand out; I’d even say it smells like cheap women’s perfume. I remembered what it reminds me of, and it’s Zapping. At least in the dry down, it’s quite similar.

  • Lmiranda19

It’s average. It can please many people but doesn’t break any rules. A typical gift perfume that usually hits the mark, unless the person can’t stand gardenia. Easy to wear, but it doesn’t surprise for anything special.

  • Natalylopez

A floral, citrusy, and sweet scent. You can definitely tell the mix of citrus with orange blossom and the touch of vanilla and tonka bean that makes it sweet. It’s fresh and soft, not overwhelming at all. Smells good, in the style of florals like L’Interdit.

  • Sharlette

When I first tested it, I smelled something similar to one I already own and thought it might smell different since I was wearing a mask. But when I got home, that scent became more noticeable, and it screamed that I already own this perfume at home: Girl Of Now Forever. Same sweet, ripe fruit vibe, but this one lasts longer and feels quite refined.

  • I received a sample of this little perfume. It’s not bad; it’s a basic fresh-floral sweet opening. After a few minutes on my skin, it seemed very similar to CK In 2U Her due to the bergamot and vanilla finish, although Valentino brings that gardenia floral that makes it more consistent. Since both are so similar, I still prefer CK.

  • I liked it. I think if I were in a different mood, I might buy it as a daily fragrance; it seems ideal for work. I found it quite nice, but I’m looking for something a bit more intense or addictive. It didn’t feel like any of the ones mentioned here; it was more in the line of 212 or Lady Million, but softer, like that type of fragrance. I smelled an amber note even though it’s not advertised, which makes it feel more mature and feminine. I think it’s good for anyone from their 20s up to any age and very wearable for any occasion except when you want to stand out. It’s pleasant, didn’t overwhelm me at all, hits the sweet spot of smelling rich but the sillage fades quickly, so in an office, for example, it won’t bother others.

  • It’s a light, elegant perfume associated with a certain age, but any woman can wear it. It smells fresh and sweet, but over time, on my skin, it smells like soap. Literally, classic L’Oréal Lavender soap. I don’t dislike it because it’s a very pleasant clean scent. I think it’s for everyday use, subtle and delicate, suitable for any season but especially spring and autumn. I like to keep it in my closet as a backup, and it reminds me of the sweetness of Cacharel’s Yes I Am Glorious. It’s worth it if you find it at a good price.

  • At first sniff, it seemed like a familiar scent. Then I realized it smelled like baby wipes. It’s fine for staying at home as a pleasant clean scent, but for other occasions, I think there are perfumes that stand out and convey much more.

  • Sputnikan

In theory, this perfume should charm me with orange blossom, gardenia, and tonka bean. But Voce Viva confuses me. I find the quality and performance low. The opening is very alcoholic, and you have to wait a minute to feel that floral-vanilla scent that others do better, like L’Eclat, Libre, or Alive. With such a good recipe and the right moment, it just didn’t come together. It smells like nameless white flowers and a bland sweetness. The worst part: it doesn’t last on the skin at all. The redeeming quality is the bottle, which is lovely. It’s harmless, bordering on boring. Maybe it works as a gift if you don’t know someone’s taste, or if they like Lady Gaga, who promoted it. Like Gaga, it promises a lot but delivers little. I don’t see the ‘viva’ in this ‘voce’. It’s an apathetic whisper.

  • A pretty, comfortable, and perfectly normal perfume for everyday wear. The opening is fresh due to the orange blossom, but then the white flowers and vanilla add sweetness. I wish the citrus part lasted longer… It’s very comfortable for daily life, but nothing magical. Suitable for all ages, though I see it as perfect for gifting to girls aged 15 to 25.

  • Valentino Voce Viva: ultra-feminine, sophisticated yet unpretentious. It’s a white floral with vanilla, sweet but not cloying, simple and pleasant for those around you. Versatile for day or work, maybe not for a night party but perfect for a casual outing. Moderate performance and a somewhat high price. I would love to gift or receive it. After a few hours, it leans slightly toward YSL’s Libre. For lovers of elegant white perfumes that are lightly sweet, like Ralph Lauren’s Woman.

  • pandapelusa9

We join the summer citrus crowd, but Voce Viva has a very sweet finish. Ideal for those who love sweet scents but suffer in extreme heat. I loved this summer, especially at night; the citrus opening blends with ginger for a summery vibe. It’s not one of those crazy fresh ones; I wear it for dinners or work, and my colleagues loved it. It lasts well, but the sillage is weak—it’s more for enjoying than making an impression. The worst part is the price… I wouldn’t buy it again at what I paid because there are better, cheaper sweet citrus options, but if I find it on sale, I’ll repurchase.

  • Madame_Butterfly

It’s a sweeter version of Libre, but lacks the projection and longevity. They’re very similar. It’s okay for daytime if you want to wear it, but otherwise, just buy the original Libre. If it feels heavy to you, try the EDT. The sweet touch is nice, but for what it offers, it’s not worth the price. Sorry, Valentino, I’m sticking with my Donna.

  • Gemasevilla

The dry down is identical to YSL’s Black Opium, just softer and less aggressive. Even though I didn’t list it in the pyramid, I can clearly smell the coffee note.

  • Carolina B.

I love it. At first, it might seem like another copy, but you have to give it a few minutes and, oh surprise! Delightful, well-combined notes appear. What attracts me to perfumes is identifying the notes, so the fragrance becomes more interesting. I can feel the freshness of the ginger and citrus, along with the vanilla and delicate white flowers. There’s also a hint of wood, but very little, keeping it sweet yet light. I adore its development and transformation in just a few minutes. It has great fixation and longevity; I’ll let you know later.

  • Gabi Fernández

I bought it for an incredible deal, but reading the reviews scared me. Total surprise: it lasts forever, projects well, and people are already jealous of me. It smells like Libre but sweeter. Sometimes we forget that every skin smells different.

  • Caramel and vanilla from the tonka bean, very warm, ideal for winter and autumn, and much more suitable for night. It’s very long-lasting with medium sillage. I’d rate it as a good perfume, but nothing original, for sure. It smells sweet, warm, and even a bit sticky. There are many similar ones, which is its flaw. Now, the perfume is high quality. I can’t distinguish citrus or florals, only vanilla and tonka bean. I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s expensive on top of that. 😘😘😘

  • Naluapilar

I’m a bit confused; what I smell most is toasted caramel and something like coffee.

  • Even though they say it’s ‘more of the same’ and lacks anything special, to me it’s the classic for everything, and I always get compliments. The projection is brutal, especially on me, and I always smell those white flowers with ginger and an embracing sweetness. When my boyfriend gets close, he says ‘you smell so good,’ and that’s how Voce Viva won me over. Highly recommended.

  • I adore it, it smells delicious, it’s super versatile, and projects a lot. I’m obsessed!

When people say a perfume reminds them of another, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re identical; they might just be relating it to an olfactory family, so don’t be too strict about that. Voce Viva has a strong orange blossom, vanilla, and some woody accords—very soft with warm undertones. For me, the orange blossom is easy to distinguish. It smells warm, sweet, slightly powdery, and has an anise-like touch. I’m not sure if that flower actually smells like anise, but that’s how I quickly identify it. Voce Viva is a lovely perfume for everyday wear and also great for autumn and spring. Warm and sweet, but wearable and versatile. It reminded me a lot of Olympea Solar because of that orange blossom note, though only in the opening, since Voce Viva isn’t a beach or tropical perfume. It aims to be an everyday ally—nothing extraordinary, but practical and lovely.

  • Versatile, easy to wear, warm yet sophisticated. It’s a very pleasant aroma. You can really smell the orange blossom and the citrus… the base is quite sweet due to the vanilla and tonka bean. There’s a powdery undertone that adds sophistication, likely from the musk. Very happy with this latest purchase. I recommend buying it blind. I doubt anyone would dislike this scent.

  • Voce Viva by Valentino is a citrus, floral, and powdery fragrance. The opening is citrusy and creamy, with that creaminess coming from floral notes of orange blossom and gardenia. The citrus notes last a good while and are bolstered by a touch of ginger. After about an hour, the scent remains citrusy but also powdery and slightly woody. I see this as more of a daytime fragrance than an evening one; it’s elegant but not for romantic situations. It’s better suited for work environments like the office, casual outings, or meetings, as it’s not invasive or cloyingly sweet. It could be worn in any season and might even become a signature scent. I’ve seen people compare it to Armani’s My Way, but to me, it feels closer to YSL Libre and a bit like Eros Pour Femme, leaning more toward citrus than white florals, though that’s just perception. Longevity was over 10 hours, with a regular sillage—noticeable at least during the first two hours.

  • They gave it to me as a gift and I was FASCINATED! Now I understand why: it has very citrusy notes, my favorites.

  • Lizet Rodríguez

I know there are many dupes, but I just love this one. Since I smelled it, it transmitted so much peace. It smells elegant 😍 I LOVE IT! I would buy it over and over again. It’s almost impossible for someone to be bothered by it, so I consider it a very safe blind buy.

  • Ultra feminine, with a balance between fresh citrus and sweet. It should have more hype because I LOVE it and my husband always says how good I smell. It’s not a bomb, but it’s a perfume that makes you feel elegant and feminine. I also own Libre, which is often compared to it, and frankly, they don’t resemble each other on me.

  • KatMartell

It’s elegant, feminine, citrusy, floral, and powdery but not invasive. The sandalwood gives it that warmth and sensuality ideal for night and cold days; the citrus complements the gardenia and bergamot, giving it a very pleasant delicacy. It lasted all day for me, very good fixation.

  • I love it! It was a gift. Although I’m not a vanilla person because I can’t stand things too sweet, this combination with citrus makes it muuuy pleasant and light, so I loved it from the moment I smelled it without knowing the notes. It’s tremendously feminine and elegant.

  • Nicolle Padilla

I’m looking for sweet floral-fruit fragrances that don’t hurt the head. This one is rich and very feminine. Note: not for everyone. It’s pretty and rich: starts with a citrus note with an enveloping touch of flowers, sparkling. After half an hour, it dries into a mild sweet finish, nothing cloying, making it more durable and giving it character for an elegant girl. A fresh scent for daily life, the office, or an afternoon outing without bothering anyone and without strong sillage. Honestly, it’s not the type of perfume that makes you sigh ‘waoooo’. My first impression was ‘waoooo, it smells like Zara’s Hibiscus’. Very similar in the dry-down, but it changes to floral with a slight sweet point. If you have the Zara one, it gives you an idea; it’s not identical but there’s a similarity. Zara is more affordable and lasts 6-7 hours on skin and longer on clothes. The Valentino lasts on clothes until washed and on skin more than 12 hours from 5 PM until the next shower, without the sweetness being annoying but rather adding elegance. It lasts in hair until washed.

  • Exquisite. I tried it thanks to a friend and was so fascinated that I bought it for my sister. It reminds me of Givenchy’s ‘L’Interdit’ (2022 batch) due to that white floral and citrus side. The difference is that this one is sweeter thanks to the vanilla and the citrus plays a lesser role, whereas the other is more citrusy and, in my opinion, has better aromatic quality. My sister gets all-day wear on it, though it varies by skin; on me, not so much, but it easily reaches five hours. I recommend it for being very versatile: special occasions or school/work. Not for hot weather, but yes for autumn or spring if it’s not above 30 degrees.

  • Brisaymiel

I love this scent: sweet with a fresh touch that smells clean yet sweet. Nothing loud or brash. The only downside is that it lasts a breath; I don’t mind reapplying, in fact, I love it, but at this price, I’d go bankrupt if I wanted it to be my signature. It lasts a maximum of 4 hours, very soft and without sillage.

  • Elenperfume

Latest addition to my collection: I loved it at first, but now I notice something synthetic and weird, typical of bergamot notes that have happened to me before. Ideal for a sunny spring day without too much heat, perfect for the office or enclosed spaces. The longevity is good, especially on clothes. It’s luminous, with noticeable citrus and white flowers over a rich vanilla base. The bottle fits perfectly with its gold tones and simple yet versatile design. I wouldn’t buy it again because I already have others that serve the same function and I prefer them.
