Yesterday I went to Zara for another perfume, and since it wasn’t there, I ended up buying this. The truth is, it doesn’t quite work for me; I can smell the roses, but with way too much vanilla, to the point where it bothers me. It’s not a perfume for everyone. I let myself be swayed by recommendations and spent money on something that doesn’t convince me.

  • Longevity at 100%. The first thing I noticed is that it smells correct, and after hours, it’s perfect in longevity and projection. My nose probably needs training, but the opening is Solinote roses and the dry down is Cherry Smoothie. I like it, especially for the longevity, though I think there’s too much hype. Having Cherry Smoothie, I wouldn’t buy this again, and vice versa (same as with Rose de Solinites). Between the two from Zara, 🍒 vs 🌹, if you like rose, go for RG, and if you prefer fruit or cherry, go for Cherry (logically), but I insist, there’s no point in having both. Scent: 8/10 (I’m not a rose fan). Longevity: 1,000 points. Projection: 10/10. Sweetness: Re. Rose: Invasive. If two rose fans clash over the sweetness, go for it, you’ll surely love it. Occasion: Versatile if you like 💣. Weather: I only tested it in cold, wouldn’t use it on humid days. I’d like to see how it works on summer nights.

It’s potent, something unusual for Zara, and it lingers on clothes forever. I barely smell the flowers, especially the rose, just a different kind of vanilla. At first, it’s super strong, fades a bit, and becomes mentholated. The opening is rough and medicinal. I recommend trying it first.

The scent is very beautiful and sweet, floral and sugary; it’s exactly what it promises and delivers. In my case, it has good longevity, 6-7 hours, and on clothes even a full day. It reminds me of YSL Babydoll from the early 2000s, grapefruit-rose-vanilla, very old-school with astronomical longevity. Unfortunately, it’s discontinued. Today, this could be a good successor and indeed, it’s a dupe. The downside is that it’s linear. It reminds me of my 18-year-old self: fresh, romantic, sweet, just out of the shell; now at almost 40, I prefer more complex scents.

  • It’s good, but all the hype around it is exaggerated. It’s nothing special. The opening smells like Vatican rosaries, lots of vintage rose that turns into sweet sweet potato in seconds. Yes, that’s how I feel it, and several people in a perfume group agreed. Lots of vanilla and amber, but simple. Is it good? Yes. Is it good for everyday wear? Yes. Is it versatile? Yes. Is it elegant? No.

  • Please, don’t buy it blind. Rose yes, vanilla yes, but over a horrible insecticide base that I can’t stand. For low-cost rose and vanilla, I’d much rather choose Rose de Amelie.

  • One of my favorites, I love its rose, caramel, and vanilla scent, totally addictive and delicious 🙂

  • Ugh, what a perfumazo! Even though I’m not into sweet scents, this rose and vanilla blend is spectacular. It smells like dried, caramelized rose petals, a bit intoxicating. Suddenly, you notice beer honey, and then the rose comes back. In the dry down, that vanilla and amber sweetness. The opening is liquefied rose, pure vanilla, and amber. The dry down is sweet and very powdery-free. It lasts a fortune, at least 8 hours. It takes me for a walk in winter through a beautiful, unknown city with incredible architecture. It would also work well in Patagonia before having hot chocolate. Perfect for sunny, windy spring days. It’s precious.

  • Nothing to do with this perfume, despite all the hype. On my skin, it smells old. There’s not a trace of roses, vanilla, or amber. What a pity.

  • I bought it because they said it was a bombshell, but honestly, it smells like sweet caramel and vanilla. I don’t feel the rose on my skin, which projects a lot, but this scent falls short for me. My friends say I smell good, but I don’t perceive it myself. Haha.

  • I don’t get the hype, it literally smells like olives. The dry down saves it, although it reminds me a lot of Zara’s Sublime Époque, which in my opinion is worth more.

  • Great perfume. Boozy roses, very sweet. High projection for the first hour, then moderate. It could be unisex, but it leans feminine and feels mature, for 25 and up. Ideal for autumn-winter; the heat can be suffocating. Incredible performance, more than 8 hours on my skin. If you’re looking for something less commercial, give it a try, but don’t buy it blind. I like it quite a bit.

  • Delight! Perfect blend of sweet vanilla without being suffocating and elegant rose. Lasts about 6 hours with huge sillage; once I had coffee, the girl next to me asked what perfume I was wearing. It smells very similar to Mancera’s Roses Vanille.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

Delicious and elegant roses. Sometimes I layer it with Antonio Banderas’ Her Secret Kiss to give it a summery touch, but on its own, it’s a pleasure to wear. I take it to the office, it doesn’t overpower, and it smells absolutely delicious.

  • AnaísLpez96

What a miss! I was looking for something similar to Mancera’s Roses Vanille and jumped on this. Thank God I got the 30ml. It’s not the same: Zara has fresh rose and vanilla base, while Mancera is vanilla on top and boozy rose underneath. Zara reminds me of my grandma’s rose soap tablets, a bit overpowering. If you can’t afford Mancera, it’s a good option, even if it’s not the exact DNA. The longevity is great; this Zara collection has improved a lot, lasting 5-6 hours.

  • It arrived today and, unlike other reviews, for me it smells a lot like La Belle. I don’t sense the rose, but rather amber and vanilla. Excellent longevity, lasts all day! I love it for the quality-price ratio. Beautiful addition to my collection.

  • marinalazo92

I didn’t know how to describe it until a girl said it smells like sweet sweet potato when dry… and she was right! It’s not roses, it’s that familiar sweet treat. It wasn’t what I expected when I ordered it blind, but I love it and it’s staying in my collection for that insane longevity. EDIT: It lasts forever and I’ve received so many compliments.

  • Vanessascarletterr

Sweet roses. I’ll try it in winter because in summer it smells very strong. It’s feminine, gourmand, and on the skin it reminds me of rosé wine.

  • Total delight! I tried it in-store and it smelled like a cherry smoothie, but buying it on sale was a surprise: nothing alike. It’s super elegant, sweet roses, nothing fresh, perfect for night or dates. Addictive and worth every penny.

  • If you really like sweet perfumes, buy it. Good longevity, good price. The first time I tried it on my wrist, it reminded me of honey candies, probably due to the sweetness. It’s very for winter, it’s tender and yet has presence.

  • On my skin, it smells exactly like Moschino Toy Bubble Gum. When I tried it at Zara I said: ‘I already know this scent’. I spent the whole afternoon trying to remember which one it was; I gave away that perfume because I didn’t like it, expecting a bubblegum smell and was disappointed by the powdery rose scent. Unlike Rose Gourmand, this is more liquorish, sweet, and with lots of vanilla. Definitely too sweet for my taste, if I tolerate it but I expected more, since they say it smells like the Mancera one and I doubt it. Good thing I didn’t buy it blindly.

A scent of roses and champagne. Timeless, dry, not sweet. I don’t feel the vanilla, just the champagne and the roses. It’s more for a bold and adult woman, chic. Well, not for teenagers. I’m still testing it, but I’m not totally smitten.

  • abriluchiperfumistica

What a delightful perfume. I was so happy when I found it at Zara and, among so many I tried, this one didn’t fade off my skin. It’s a very honeyed and ambered rose; I can attest it’s one of the sweetest perfumes in my collection. The fixation is great, and although it’s not crazy projection, anyone moderately close will feel it and leave a trail as you walk. It’s a great success; it feels quite elegant to be so simple with three declared notes executed excellently. Yes, it’s so sweet I’d recommend it for cold climates or nighttime.

  • Second time trying it on skin at Zara. At first I didn’t like it, but as it dried down I said: I NEED THIS, IT’S MY NEXT ZARA BUY! On my dry skin, it smells like a mix of Moschino Bubblegum and the same vanilla/pastry note that Devotion has. Am I crazy? It smells like a Devotion of bubblegum and vanilla without the lemon. Confirm if it happens on your skin too, it’s an addictive vanilla. Sweet and delicious. I wish it projected more.

  • Lavidaencriss

What a surprise Zara brings us and how underrated this scent is! It’s a very juicy, sweet, and powdery rose. When I put it on, I feel empowered and feminine; it’s a pleasant sweetness that lifts your mood. It’s very versatile, for day or night, but I see it more for cold weather or early spring. If you like floral and sweetish scents, I encourage you to try it for sure.

  • Surprisingly, it’s a hit. I usually don’t like the rose note, but here I love it. It’s a very different rose, very well balanced with the sweetness of the vanilla. It’s a super-sweet gourmand, like a caramelized and sugared rose that makes you want to eat it. I feel super feminine, delicate, romantic, and with a seductive touch. Ideal for dates or nights out with friends. It has a high sillage for the first hour and then moderates, but what surprised me most is its longevity and how it clings to skin and clothes. I tested it on the sleeve of a sweater and the scent was still there the next day. Among Zara’s perfumes, this takes the award for best longevity. I recommend trying it to those who like well-sweet and feminine perfumes.

First, like almost all my fragrances, it was a blind buy based on the composition and hype. It’s an aroma with standout intensity for the price, contrasting with the performance reviews of others from the brand. It smells exactly as its name suggests: roses and vanilla, something sugary or syrupy. It has a lot of presence and is ideal for night or cold weather; in summer, its potency can be overwhelming. I don’t regret the purchase; along with Fields at Nightfall and Red Temptation, I consider them very convenient. I don’t know what they emulate, but based on the reviews, they must be excellent. They have good performance, are cozy and warm. I would buy them again, in fact, I already have a refill for Fields at Nightfall.

  • Despite everything I read, I couldn’t help but buy it. It’s rose with sweet vanilla, nothing fresh, so it’s not for summer or extreme heat. The vanilla is a pleasant sweetness and the rose is like a ripe red one, rough but natural, nothing as delicate as Lancome’s. Out of my perfumes, only three didn’t quite hit the spot; one was Sakeena by Lattafa, with a gorgeous bottle but that rose I don’t like, same as in Delina and its dupe Delila. The difference is that Rose Gourmand feels less artificial, with citrus notes at the start, then caramel, vanilla, and rose, but with a natural touch that I prefer. The longevity surprised me: 5-7 hours on skin and on clothes, for days!

  • Smells like roses, but not the typical kind; it’s a blend of rose, cinnamon, and vanilla, like rose tea. I feel ambivalent: sometimes I love how different it is, other times it reminds me of the flowers at the cemetery when I used to visit my grandfather. Don’t buy this blindly. The longevity is incredible, about 12 hours, way more than I expected from Zara. At first, it reminded me of Red Temptation, but then it develops its own charm.

  • This is my favorite of all the Zara scents. Others are nice but fade quickly or change unpleasantly when dry. To me, it smells the same as their other amber and vanilla fragrances. Don’t buy blindly: they often have that sharp, boozy sweetness that’s hard to like, but with the roses, it’s much less noticeable. It’s not fresh; it’s a night scent, almost mature, elegant, and full of character.

  • Another Zara hit. Edible, jammy, and sexy rose. Incredible result with just three notes, though I do detect a subtle, undeclared tobacco. Projection and longevity are weak, but you can’t ask for more at this price. Unisex and versatile. In one word: addictive.

  • Very spicy at first: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, pepper. Then it evolves into sweet, apricot-like, amber roses. Perfect for cold weather. Reminds me of Lattafa’s Khamrah but much more wearable.

  • I don’t like roses, especially velvety and dense ones like this. It has quality, but it’s not for me.

  • soymalka_

On my skin, it stays true to the name: a fine, sweet rose (not overpowering). As it dries down, it smells like baby powder with an interesting, addictive musk.

  • darlenerock

The name says it all: sweet roses in amber, with a slightly honeyed vibe. Price-to-quality ratio is 1000/10. Lasts long and projects incredibly well.

  • Lulu_hypnotic

I’m not a rose fan, but it blends well; here it’s 100% rose and doesn’t evolve on my skin. I gave it away, it just doesn’t work for me.
