I just tried the Gold and Silver samples of Kurkdjian. In the Gold, what stands out most is the vanilla and amber; at first, I like it, it reminds me of Oud Satin Mood and Grand Soir due to that vanilla, but this one is more vanilla-forward. It smells very good. I need to see how it behaves over time, but it promises a lot and is very different from the Silver version even though they share the same notes.
I just received two samples of Kurkdjian’s new works, Fluidity Gold and Silver. In the case of Gold, what stands out most is the vanilla and amber; at first, I like it, it has a certain resemblance in some nuances to Oud Satin Mood and Grand Soir due to the vanilla, but this one is more vanilla-forward. Honestly, it smells very good. I need to see how projection and longevity play out, but at first, it’s a perfume that promises a lot, and it’s very different from the Silver version despite having the same notes.
It’s one of those where you know after the first spray it’s by Kurkdjian: it wraps you in a safe, rounded, and thick space without being invasive, like Baccarat Rouge 540 or Oud Satin Mood. In my opinion, it’s more unisex than Oud Satin Mood, or rather, ethereal like them. It smells classy, like a Russian waltz. Very amber and vanilla-heavy, with intense musk; the rest are nuances that don’t define it. Here, the three main notes stand out separately, unlike Baccarat where they form an inseparable symphony. The quality is immense, projecting 1.5 to 2 meters for 3.5 hours and lasting over 12 hours. If it’s your style, for the price, it’s an excellent purchase. Longevity: 9, Projection: 8.5, Scent: 7.5, Price: €150 (70ml), Unique: 7, Emotional: No
Another piece of the trendy niche scene. It reminds me of several Mancera scents without naming them… 🤔🤔 A top-quality vanilla with very prominent musk and amber that give me a bit of a turn-off. Although it doesn’t evolve, I can smell every note in the list, and I love the juniper here, very cool. I feel a strong resemblance to Miss Dior Le Parfum, and honestly, I don’t see it having better quality than it; Le Parfum is mind-blowing and elegant, though maybe it lacks a bit of sillage, which you do get here (though it’s not exaggerated either). In short, Gentle Fluidity bores me a bit, it’s already been worn (which isn’t bad) and I wouldn’t buy it, but it smells very well with decent quality. It’s an amber-vanilla perfume worth considering. If I were to recommend it: buy blind if you like resinous scents with a heavy musk load. Scent: 8 Quality: 9 Longevity: 10 Originality: 6 Versatility: 10 (in winter). Would I buy it? I’m sticking with Dior Le Parfum. Note, having one doesn’t replace the other. Completely unisex.
I tested the Silver and Gold samples of Gentle Fluidity, and this Gold one has pleased me much more. As others say, it reminds me of some Mancera and Montales, like Intense Café or Roses Vanilla. It’s not an original or different aroma, but it’s pleasant and interesting. I prefer other MFK perfumes, though it seems curious to me to see how two perfumes with the same notes can be so different: this one is sweet and intense with a delicious vanilla, whereas Silver is much fresher. Performance is good, though lower than in other perfumes from the house, and projection is quite scarce.
The Silver and Gold samples of Gentle Fluidity have arrived, and without a doubt, Gold is the winner. It smells like things I already know from Mancera or Montales, like Intense Café or Roses Vanilla. It’s not a revolutionary scent, but it’s very pleasant and interesting. Honestly, I prefer other MFK perfumes, though I love seeing how two fragrances with the same notes can be so different: this one is sweet and intense with a delicious vanilla, while Silver is much fresher. Performance is good, though it doesn’t reach the level of others from the house, and projection is fairly contained. Scent: 8 Longevity: 8 Projection: 6 Value: 5 Versatility: 6 Originality: 5 Overall: 8

I saved up just to enjoy some good vanilla time. Wish I didn’t like Kurkdjian’s creations so much; it’s truly worse than loving expensive shoes. On my skin, it’s extremely similar to Givenchy’s Pi, and the difference between the sample paper and my skin is huge. I adore the top notes, and although it’s very linear, I only fall in love when I sense the juniper. Then it’s always Pi by Givenchy on my skin. I don’t understand why I sense so much tonka bean. This scent is capable of bringing me close to a good fire alongside sweet delights. It’s cozy. For me, less elegant than Baccarat Rouge 540, perhaps less feminine, but close and addictive. An elegant, sumptuous, and extremely long-lasting vanilla, at least on my skin. A safe member of the Vanilla Olympus.

It smells beautiful, elegant, and not gourmand; it’s warm, cozy, and has lots of musk and amber. I loved it so much I thought about buying it, but its performance disappointed me. It lasted 7 hours on skin, but after the first hour, if I didn’t press my nose against it, I couldn’t smell it. If there’s no sillage, having it there doesn’t serve any purpose. It’s a shame because the scent is refined and I like it, but on me, it leaves no trace to enjoy.
It’s a very beautiful, elegant, non-gourmand (for me) vanilla scent; it’s warm and cozy, with lots of musk and amber. The aroma captivated me, and I seriously thought it would be my first purchase from the house… until I saw its performance. It lasted 7 hours on my skin, but after the second hour, if I didn’t bury my nose in it, I couldn’t smell it. So, it didn’t matter that it was still there without sillage. It’s a shame because the scent is fine, elegant, and warm, but ON ME it has no sillage to enjoy.
I like it, although it gives me a headache… it smells exactly like the clear lip gloss from Estée Lauder, I swear. It brings back good memories, but it’s not worth the price. I don’t smell much vanilla; it’s super powdery. You can detect the amber, wood, berries, and cilantro. I recommend trying it and waiting for it to dry down before buying.
My goodness, what a beauty. It smells of honey, lots of honey, enchanting powder, and a loving sweetness that elevates by magic. The vanilla, which I love to madness, is an exquisite protagonist in a wonderful harmony with the other notes. An elegant and very sensual musk. And the best part of all is that it was a gift.
Love at first sniff. This is pure luxury. As everyone says, it has that characteristic Montale scent, but thank God it’s not as overwhelming. It’s delicate, vanilla and amber. I fell in love and decided to buy the bottle. It’s rare to find a perfume I don’t like from Maison Francis Kurkdjian; he has an incredible nose, his work is impeccable, and he’s my favorite perfumer. It smells of quality and elegance, opulent yet soft, without drawing too much attention. It reminds me slightly of Oud Satin Mood, though this one is more potent; they seem like close relatives with distinct personalities. The difference between Gold and Silver is that Gold is warmer and nocturnal, while Silver is fresher and diurnal; despite sharing the same notes, they are totally different, which is wonderful and magical. Try it and enjoy.
Something surreal happened to me: I ordered Delox by Tiziana Terenzi and Gentle Fluidity without knowing they were similar. They were blind buys; I hate TT because it’s a copy of Montale’s Intense Cafe, overwhelming and heavy. MFK, wow! What a beauty, subtlety, and elegance. It’s like the previous two but with finesse, without being heavy. Pure elegance: subtle vanilla with amber and musk, not reaching density, with woody notes adding nuance. In short, perfection in a perfume.
Unlike the others, I’m not going to speak so highly of this perfume. The opening didn’t like it; it’s very potent and sour, I don’t know how to explain it. After a while, it sweetened up until it became a woody and caramelized vanilla. I see it as super formal and elegant, with great class, but the caramel bothers me a bit. I’m still thinking about when to use it, I suppose in winter, maybe autumn, and for special events. I don’t see it for everyday use. Maybe I’ll change my mind, but updating that I can’t stand the caramel and it’s not for me. I’ll be gifting it.
I’m here to say I don’t speak highly of this perfume. The opening didn’t work for me: it’s very potent and sour, hard to explain. After a while, it sweetens up to become a woody, caramelized vanilla. I see it as super formal, elegant, and classy, but the caramel overwhelms me a bit. I’m still figuring out when to wear it, maybe winter or autumn for special events, not for daily use. I might change my mind, but for now, I can’t stand the caramel and I’ll be gifting it.
In my opinion, it has too much character and is very feminine, yet there are facets that don’t fit a woman. It comes out strong and sharp until it settles into a sweet scent, with a vanilla and caramel base. I see it as very mature and tiring. Nothing.
Besides that distinct character I feel is too feminine, there are accords and facets in the composition that just don’t work for me as a woman. It comes out very potent and sharp, then settles into a cloying sweet scent with a background of vanilla and caramel. It feels very mature and worn out. Nothing.
A luxurious and aristocratic scent that doesn’t shout or overwhelm; it’s not dense either. It smells like a calm, confident lady, impeccable in appearance and essence, with manners and elegance upon arrival. It features a dry, expensive, and noble vanilla with a touch of musk. Very beautiful, balanced, with a subtle caramel nuance. It’s one of my favorites; the longevity and sillage are excellent.
I’ve had this perfume for three years now. I barely used it and hesitated to keep it when I found it in a lot (one half-bottle and one full), but greed won out: ‘if they’re out, it’s a bonus,’ even though I didn’t like them much at the time. Now I take it back: I absolutely love them! I don’t want to finish them. They are beautiful, aromatic, and elegant—very different and simply exquisite. What a relief that I kept them.
