Descripción

La Vie est Belle L'Éclat L'Eau de Toilette by Lancôme is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Its top notes of grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, tea, and pink pepper deliver a vibrant and citrusy opening. The heart reveals the delicacy of orange blossom, neroli, jasmine, and iris, adding an elegant and luminous floral character. Finally, the base notes settle with the warmth of musk, ambroxan, Tahitian vanilla, and patchouli, closing the olfactory pyramid with a sensual and enveloping finish.

  • Ready to be wrong, I gave it a try and… BIG SURPRISE! I absolutely loved it. Effervescent opening, floral with light oriental touches. On my skin, it highlights a soft, natural, innocent orange blossom that reminds me of the air along the Valencia coast in spring. It’s ethereal, very different from Elie Saab. A good fragrance for a romantic woman, very wearable with good longevity, though a bit linear.

  • It smells like orange blossom and neroli bath salts, like pebbles in hot water, effervescent. After the opening, the white flowers get a bit rough, as if you cut an orange stem with scissors. By the end, it becomes warm and banal, like Calvin Klein’s Obsession Night from 2005. I don’t love it, but it’s not bad. Thank goodness it doesn’t smell like the original La Vie Est Belle.

  • To start, it was a gift and wasn’t even on my radar. It seems very similar to the others, just less loud, but it gives me the same ‘denture’ effect on me. So, I can’t enjoy it; I just smell like a floral shake with sugar. What a pity.

  • It was a surprise gift I didn’t plan for… It sounds similar to others but less harsh. On my skin, however, it smells like a floral smoothie with sugar. It doesn’t make me enjoy it; it just smells like sweet flowers. Such a pity.

I’d been waiting for this blend, and it’s exactly what I was looking for: it combines the classic LVEB with the freshness of L’Éclat EDP. Light but with presence, it starts very citrusy before transitioning into a summery, easy-to-wear version of La Vie Est Belle. I’m already using it and will update the review soon.

I know it’s not a masterpiece, but I absolutely love it: fresh, sophisticated, and very wearable. It starts citrusy with a soapy, talc-like touch that I enjoy. Ideal if you’re looking for something classic, not exotic. It fades quickly outdoors, but indoors it leaves a medium-to-strong trail. Lasts 7-8 hours. Perfect for spring, summer, and fall.

  • Amazing floral. It’s like an extract of bergamot and orange peels with white floral oils and vanilla, in such a harmonious blend that it becomes unique. (Worth noting that it’s not a very natural scent). It’s a magical perfume: citrus opening, floral heart, and sweet finish. Totally recommended for indecisives, ultra-versatile, and luminous. Plus, I highlight that its sillage is heavy and its longevity can easily reach 6 hours on skin, even though it’s an EDT.

La Vie est Belle L’Éclat L’Eau is quite lovely and has an air of Vie Est Belle l’eclat. It’s citrusy, fresh, and much lighter than the classic, a good option if you like sweet citrus and are looking for something less mainstream. I found both very similar to the Olympea AQUA perfume, which I love. Especially for the orange blossom note, which is gorgeous and has a huge presence in these three perfumes ❤️

  • It’s a great option if you like the classic LVEB but it gives you a headache. This more citrusy and floral version, without losing its sweet essence, was amazing to me. My 20-year-old brother said the classic smells like ‘everyone,’ but he thought this one was different and delicious. I bought it on sale in fall, but it’s for spring/summer, so I haven’t used it much yet due to the cold. Once it gets warm, I’ll try it and update the review.

  • It’s a great option if you like the classic LVEB but can’t tolerate it or it gives you a headache. In my case, that was exactly the situation; this more citrusy and floral version, without losing the sweet essence of LVEB, was a hit for me. My 20-year-old brother, who knows nothing about fragrances, barely smelled it on one hand and said the original LVEB is everywhere and very common, but when he smelled the other one with L’eclat, he said this one is distinct, very rich, and that people will remember you 🙂 I can’t fully appreciate the sillage/projection yet since I bought it on sale in autumn and consider it more for spring/summer, while in my country it’s winter, so I haven’t used it much yet. But without a doubt, when it gets warmer, I’ll be testing it and will update the review!

It’s an EDT that stands out from the entire La Vie Est Belle range, which is why I like it. It’s a yellow floral, mature, and elegant scent with a restrained sweetness. It reminds me of Flower Eau de Lumière.

I like it, though it doesn’t make me fall in love. It doesn’t resemble the Vie Est Belle EDP too much. It’s citrusy at first, then orange blossom takes over, and finally, it becomes sweet. At first, it feels very strong, then the intensity drops. It lasts about 2 hours.

  • I had it tucked away in the closet unused; now that I finally tried it, I say it’s quite different from the original, at least until the base notes, where you can tell it is indeed part of the LVEB family. But from the first spray, you wouldn’t think it belongs to that line: it’s very different, citrusy and fresh, then it turns floral, leaving an aromatic trail impossible to ignore—a delicious fragrance. Good sillage and longevity. Rarely do I go for perfumes that aren’t sweet or spicy, but I’m not bothered making this exception for L’eclat L’eau. Unfortunately, it gives me a monumental migraine—not a little pain that aspirin fixes, but a real migraine with temporary vision loss. I’ve learned to hate it as strongly as I once loved it. Scent 6/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 8/10, Price 7/10, instant migraine: 100,000,000/10 🤢🤢🤢🤢 EDIT: 04/09/22 I tried it again with my aunt and my mother-in-law; definitely not for me. In them, fresh flowers stand out in one and rose with fruit in the other… but on my skin, it smells like detergent 😱😱😱 I gave the perfume to my aunt, and on her, it smells exquisite 🥰🥰

The opening is powerful and enveloping: green tea with a tiny sweet touch, orange blossom, and citrus. After the initial impact fades, it calms down and leaves an aroma of orange blossom and lemon without acidity, plus a hint of vanilla. To imagine it better, it’s like sitting under a lemon tree with ripe lemons and a vanilla cake nearby. It doesn’t reach cloying levels. It’s linear and simple, but very pleasant. I didn’t have much faith in this flanker, but it’s great for quiet days. The trail is discreet and lasts about 6 hours, after which only the scented skin remains.

The opening is potent: sweet green tea, orange blossom, and citrus. Then it settles down, leaving orange blossom with lemon but no acidity and a hint of vanilla. Imagine being under a lemon tree with a vanilla cake nearby. It’s not sweet; it’s linear and simple but very pleasant. I didn’t have faith in this flanker, but it’s great for quiet days. Discreet trail, lasts about 6 hours, then leaves a perfumed skin scent.

  • I know it’s nothing groundbreaking, but for me, it has something I’m obsessed with. It’s a bubbly, clean, and cheerful scent that makes you feel great. Perfect for spring and summer, especially during the day. Its trail and longevity are quite good for an EDT. I just ordered the EDP to see if I’ll like it as much. I detect a fresh, clean neroli from the musk, accompanied by a soft sweet touch of vanilla. As it dries down, it stays the same but gets slightly powdery from the iris. For some reason, I detect something crunchy in it, maybe nuts or hazelnuts. Anyway, it’s a fragrance I’ll always have as long as it’s available, because rumors say it’s going to be discontinued.

  • I fell in love at first sniff in a store two years ago and bought it on the spot. It’s sophisticated yet youthful, with a citrus opening that’s captivating and super refreshing. Even though it’s an EDT, it performs like an EDP: it lasts forever and has a persistent trail without being cloying. Once it dries down, the iris gives it a powdery touch, it becomes slightly sweeter with vanilla, and ambroxan makes its presence felt. I wear it to feel semi-formal in autumn or spring. Out of all the LVEB scents I’ve tried, it’s the only one I tolerate without getting a headache, and I absolutely love it.

  • It’s an absolute gem, but what a shame it’s no longer available. I’m dying to find a flanker that smells similar; I can’t find it and desperately need it back in my collection.
