Néroli & Orchidée by L'Occitane en Provence is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni. The top notes feature mandarin and orange, offering a bright and luminous citrus opening. The heart reveals a floral and fruity bouquet with neroli, peach, lily of the valley, and fig nectar. The base settles with an elegant blend of orchid, musk, and iris.

I smelled it by mistake; I wanted the jasmine and bergamot one, but it was a pleasant surprise. What I notice most is the orchid: sensual, sweet, and romantic. It lasts moderately with a soft sillage that doesn’t overwhelm.

  • I love, love, love this fragrance! It was love at first sniff! It’s sparkling, cheerful, and juicy. Starts citrusy with orange and tangerine, then neroli and lily with fig and peach notes. As it dries down, orchid, iris, and musk warm it up. Perfect balance between Mediterranean and exotic Madagascan florals. Light, feminine, and captivating. Lasts about 8 hours (10 with lotion), with great sillage. L’Occitane does magic. Competes with D&G’s LightBlue in freshness. Wear it every day. Radiant, from the Mediterranean. I give it a 15! Minimalist bottle with a matte gold cap and shiny neck. I adore it! Arrived in 2014, created by Karine Dubreuil for the Grasse collection, the world’s perfume capital. It makes me feel happy and optimistic. It stayed in my collection; it’s unique!

  • I’m truly smitten. It’s fantastic: opens with sweet citrus, like tangerine, then neroli comes through with a warm, lively touch. Finally, it blends with orchid into a very subtle floral, ideal for hot days.

Exquisite and delicious! It’s my favorite perfume: fresh, clean, elegant, and youthful. I wear it all day and it’s perfect. It’s an addictive scent.

  • Love at first sniff. The opening is citrusy and not overpowering, then it softens and sweetens gradually. It’s perfect for starting the day, energizing. Plus, it’s not synthetic; it’s quite natural. It has its touch of elegance. On the downside, its high price and longevity of about 3 hours on my skin, like all L’Occitane perfumes. The trail is good at first and then fades to a soft sillage. Still, it’s a joy to own and a great blind gift due to its natural, sparkling, and sweet scent. Perfect for spring-summer, a breath of fresh air.

  • Love at first sniff! The opening is citrusy and non-offensive, then it sweetens gently. Perfect for starting the day, energizing. It doesn’t smell synthetic; it’s very natural. It has elegance. The downside is the price and that on my skin it lasts about 3 hours, like all L’Occitane perfumes. The sillage is good at first but then fades. Still, it’s a treat and a great blind buy gift for its natural, sparkling, and sweet composition. Ideal for spring-summer. A breath of fresh air!

  • After reading so many positive reviews, I bought it blind and… honestly, it’s not worth it. It’s a citrus, floral, energetic, and fresh aroma, but where did the longevity go? I had to reapply three times in one day because after a few hours, I couldn’t smell it anymore. For the price, I expected more. But to be fair, it’s a lovely aroma I like for daily use, right after a shower, or for gifting because everyone will surely like it (it doesn’t smell artificial). Ideal for spring/summer, I just wish it had the longevity of a perfume in its price range.

  • The moment you smell it, it captivates. It’s fruity and then floral; pity it’s only available in Eau de Toilette because in my warm climate, it doesn’t last long, but the scent is spectacular, sexy, and elegant.

  • It has that soft, pleasant, feminine citrus-fruit-floral scent. I struggle to distinguish the notes, but it smells like peach. It’s quite linear on my skin, where peach and fig dominate. After about two hours, it dries down to a skin scent like a musky floral, slightly sweet and pleasant, reminiscent of baby clothes. It projects a lot with just one spray and lasts about 8 hours. I found it to be a feminine perfume for informal or semi-formal daytime occasions, good for the office but so pleasant yet forgettable.

Basically, it’s floral. I like the citrus-floral blend at first, but once it dries down, I’m no longer passionate about it because on my skin, an unidentified citrus dominates and smells a bit like mosquito repellent. This only happens to me due to my skin chemistry. Its longevity is scarce and doesn’t justify the price.

  • My fiancé gifted me this EDT and I loved it. It’s floral, feminine, and luminous; the orchid and neroli are noticeable immediately, while the iris and peach are more subtle. Since I live in a cold climate, the longevity is good, and I adore how the orchid accentuates on my skin. I’ll make it my personal perfume.

It’s a feminine fragrance, though I believe scents don’t have a gender. I really like it: it starts citrusy, fresh, and sparkling, then the flowers emerge. The neroli feels very natural, and as it dries down, it has a sweet touch with a hint of iris in the background, very subtle. Recommended for warm climates. The performance seems good, considering it’s an EDT.

  • JoseMartin

Although it’s a feminine fragrance, I believe scents have no gender and I absolutely love them. At first, it smells citrusy, fresh, and sparkling, then the flowers appear with a very natural neroli. As it dries down, it leaves a sweet touch with iris in the background. Recommended for warm climates and has good longevity for an EDT.

  • Smells like light and joy. At first, neroli, orchid, and orange embrace you, and at the end, iris with vanilla adds a magical touch. It’s gorgeous, perfect for when it’s scorching hot and you need to refresh without it being just citrus.
