I love this perfume. I don’t have the original or the Intense, but this makes me extremely happy.
A lot has been said about ‘Libre Le Parfum,’ and probably everything is true. My truth is that I gifted it to my wife because I liked it so much, and I’m dying to wear it myself, though I hold back out of respect. I don’t know if it’s unisex, but I love smelling like this, smelling myself like this. D E L I C I O U S!!!
Honestly, based on the notes I should have guessed it would be another sweet perfume. The Mon Guerlain flankers that also work with lavender surpass this one.
I took a few days to decide if I liked Libre Le Parfum. Yes, I like it! At first I thought it had too much lavender, like for a man, and fresh like the original, but in minutes it becomes sweet and creamy, reminding me of Valentino Born in Roma. It lasts more than 8 hours on me. Although I don’t feel it after 6 hours, my colleagues notice it and even ask who’s wearing it in the office. I recommend it if you like sweet florals.
I was dying to buy it, but it’s almost identical to the Intense. It was hard to see the differences, but on my skin it smells a bit more like honey. They are very similar, and without comparing them side by side, it’s hard to distinguish them. This lasts less than the Intense. Considering that and its high price, my recommendation is to go for the Intense or the Golden Decade.
It’s the Libre I like the most. It’s very similar to the Intense, just softer, with softened lavender and a bit more orange blossom. Although I like it, with a big bottle of the Intense, I can’t justify buying it. The saffron and honey are absent; lavender and vanilla are the stars, perfectly balanced. It has high sillage and lasts 8 hours on my skin. If you don’t like the EDP and don’t have the Intense, try this. Don’t buy blindly (none of the line). It’s on my wishlist (I have a decant), and I won’t add it until I finish the Intense, although I prefer Le Parfum.
I love this fragrance: subtle lavender, honeyed, and balanced with vanilla, plus those fougery notes of vetiver. Ugh, I could wear it all year, and if I clog anyone up, haha! If you dose it, you control the sillage: a few sprays for the office or enclosed spaces, more to make yourself noticed. It’s more versatile than the Intense, so I agree you don’t need both. It’s your money if you want it, but it’s a gorgeous fragrance different from the original that keeps the DNA.
Bestial longevity and all-day sillage. It gives me a headache; I think it’s too strong and I feel older just smelling it. The honey-vanilla combo is the most notable. It has a spicy touch at the start that fades into sweetness. It’s rich, but not for me; it would be perfect for my mom. Its potency is a shout of ‘I’M HERE,’ you won’t go unnoticed.
I tried it and at first it smelled a bit sour and earthy, but with the breeze the scent became delicious (I realized I had smelled the original before). The dry down is strong, but over time it leaves a delicious clean lavender and vanilla fragrance. I love the dry down; the sillage is questionable, but I’m not bothered by having to reapply. Almost 5 months later, it’s my favorite for the office! I’m obsessed with that vanilla that gets so many compliments 💕
It’s my favorite Libre: while the others smell like unisex lavender and grossed me out, this one is 100% feminine, sweet, and sophisticated. The honey and vanilla round it out without being cloying. I don’t smell much saffron or ginger, and that works perfectly for me.
I tried it one afternoon recently and it was my favorite of all (and my boyfriend’s too). It’s very sweet, strong but not overpowering, and I could still smell it the next day (though just on the skin). I like it a lot; it’s perfect for those who like sweet scents, and I see it more for night, but if used with caution, it could easily be worn during the day.
I consider Libre to be one of the best launches from YSL in years, speaking of their entire high-end range, both feminine and masculine. Libre is perfectly unisex, but there’s one thing I can’t stand to wear myself: I don’t know if it’s the white floral part that, combined with the lavender/vanilla combo, bothers me. I expected to like the Intense version, but I had the same result until I tried this delight. From the opening, you feel the DNA of the original, but what a marvel those ginger and saffron notes added in this version; they prevent the bitter orange flower from being too loud, and I feel they balance the lavender better in this version than the saturated one. It’s bathed in a delicious vanilla drenched in honey, with a tonka note that is both sweet and powdery, one of the spicy notes I enjoy most. The saffron is part of the backbone of this composition. By today’s standards, I feel it (like the whole Libre family) to be really unisex. Highly recommended, and I hope they don’t reformulate soon, because what was a limited 50ml edition has become the definitive and bold version of the line.
If you want to turn heads with a subtle and elegant vanilla, this is the fragrance. It doesn’t have the longevity I’d like, but it’s a scent of delicacy, luxury, and pure elegance.
I love it; it’s elegant, sweet, and a true beast. It opens very citrusy and quickly turns sweet and dense. For me, it lasts until I shower, hours and hours, and has a very potent trail. The first time I wore it, I sprayed five times and my friend and I were dizzy all afternoon. Two sprays are enough for people to smell me without getting close and without making anyone dizzy. I find the Intense very similar; I struggled to decide between the two. I just tried the EDP and I like it too; I find a very similar vibe, but less sweet, maybe more wearable when it’s hotter. I’m eager to try the EDT; if it’s even fresher, I’ll buy it for summer.
What a piece of a perfume… I bought it about a year ago and haven’t used it as much as it deserves. Today, I smell the honey and vanilla much more than when I first opened it. The miracle of oxidation improves the scents greatly (as long as they don’t go bad). The lavender isn’t evident on my skin; basically it’s orange blossom with honey and vanilla, a tiny spicy kick from the saffron. It’s one of the perfumes with the best longevity and projection in my collection, on par with Khamrah Qahwa. I only put on three sprays and it makes my day. I skip all my other perfumes; I enjoy these even at home or for sleeping. I’ll repurchase when I run out.
I would have bought it on the spot if my arm hadn’t been noticeably irritated. This happens with many fragrances for me, especially with those types of colorants. Among the free samples, it’s the best for me. It’s more feminine and sweet, unique, very spicy with a marked saffron note that blends with vanilla and a bit of lavender. The longevity and trail are brutal. So frustrating.
Delicious. It’s quite strong and heavy. Not for warm climates; this is definitely a cold-weather perfume.
Without a doubt, anyone would tell you to buy it blind: it’s exquisite. The opening has a slightly strong ginger note for the first five seconds, then it becomes pleasant. For the first hour, ginger and saffran dominate, before blending with lavender and orange blossom with that honey note that I’m most in love with; it’s not synthetic honey, it feels natural. I love it and will buy it again whenever I run out; it’s my forever perfume. P.S.: Best used in cold environments.
I’m just waiting for cooler weather to wear it again. An elegant, opulent, and standout fragrance that makes a woman look beautiful. It invites you to wear an outfit that matches this scent. Honestly, the first time I smelled it on my skin at the perfume store, I had to go back for it. It’s one of those scents I hope they don’t discontinue or reformulate. Love.
This is a sex bomb, plain and simple. It’s the one that gets the most compliments when I wear it. That blend of honey, vanilla, and tonka gives it sensuality, femininity, and a night-time character. It pairs beautifully with the shy florals of bitter orange and the even more reserved lavender. It’s very potent and lasts until you shower; the trail is beastly. Excellent projection. Pure femme fatale. Addictive beyond belief.
After a year in my drawer, I finally took it out today, and what a delight. At first, I was annoyed by that soft, potent opening that felt like toothpaste, but after wearing it today, that’s gone. It smells like gingerbread cookies with orange, honey, and a touch of saffron mellowed by lavender. It’s gorgeous; I regret not appreciating it sooner.
Libre Le Parfum… A wonderful perfume. It’s exquisite, it stands out, it projects, and it lasts many hours on my skin. This one along with L’Interdit EDP are the perfumes that have received the most compliments. Highly recommended.
I’m fascinated by it, but it doesn’t last more than two hours.
I bought this perfume just for the notes, which seemed very interesting, and I have no regrets. It’s delicious. Perfect for cold weather and nights. When I put this on, I automatically feel like a sexy goddess, haha. It’s a very elegant fragrance with a lot of presence, it lasts for hours, and I always receive compliments. I love it.
Does this perfume even need a review? It’s like Easter bread without the synthetic orange blossom, just something super pleasant and beautiful, vanilla-sweet and gorgeous. It’s Easter bread… I love you, Libre by YSL.
A beast of a fragrance, speaks for itself. Intense and commanding, with dark vanilla and a lavender that smells like femme fatale.
Just arrived, smells delicious. The opening is like candied lemon, divine. I’ll update you tomorrow after wearing it all day.
This really amps up the Libre Intense. Smells rich, though I didn’t notice the spicy note. The orange blossom, lavender, and vanilla are there, very well blended. Perfect for cool autumn and winter. On my skin, it didn’t last fantastic—max 6 hours and needs reapplication.
A classy and gorgeous guy. I love it.
The opening is a bit strong and spicy from the honey, but once it dries down, it smells divine. I’m saving this for the night.
Could it be the orange blossom? But the opening smells quite unisex, almost like a baby cologne, unfortunately. However, as it evolves, it smells like pure honey, and it’s beautiful.
The scent is delicious; you can really smell the honey and orange blossom. But the longevity is terrible, even though almost all perfumes last on me. In fact, Libre Intense lasted on my wrist for three days, surviving showers, but I tried Le Parfum. The scent fascinated me; believing it would be at least as long-lasting due to its concentration, I bought it. But it was a mistake. I wore it at the airport, and after an hour, I asked someone if they could smell it, and they couldn’t detect anything at all. So it’s no wonder people are starting to buy Arabic perfumes, which are more affordable and have the longevity they should have.
It lasts a long time; it’s a perfume that leaves traces when you walk. It’s very expensive, but the notes that stand out—vanilla, flowers, and honey—make that combination gourmet.
I’m not sure if I’ll be very objective, as it’s one of my favorite fragrances. A sweet, honeyed, slightly spiced aroma that brings brightness and freshness without losing its creamy, full-bodied side. If it had texture, it would be thick, liquid, smooth, and dark honey. It’s an elixir, mysterious, sensual, elegant, suggestive, and deep. I feel great satisfaction every time I wear it, and people always compliment it. It has very good longevity and projection. It can be worn in all seasons because while it’s sweet, it’s not overwhelming; maybe in summer I’d wear it late afternoon or night. In autumn and winter, it’s perfect anytime of day.
IDEAL fragrance for autumn and winter, specifically at night, to show elegance and exclusivity. Very delicious.
Family perfume addict, we need to talk… Libre, I love you so much. I fall head over heels for your notes, even though I realize that with you, in the Le Parfum version, I reached an olfactory fatigue point and it gives me a slight headache. You hurt me, but you enchant me, and I don’t want to finish you… OKAY! To be honest, since I met this fragrance in Liverpool, I fell deeply in love with Libre in all its versions, but Le Parfum, seriously, I truly fell in love. I feel it’s a very special perfume, something I definitely can’t wear every day; it’s so captivating, elegant, interesting, and addictive to smell… Like other girls, I consider it ideal for winter-spring; in the heat, I see it as a disaster, but if you want to die of a headache, go ahead, it’s all yours. Upon spraying, I quickly feel that citrus note combined with flowers, and as minutes pass, I perceive orange blossom flowers at their best, along with the vanilla that makes Libre Le Parfum a super soothing and warm aroma. Although the citrus notes do stand out, I don’t feel they are the main accord; in my opinion, flowers and vanilla dominate massively. Both, though common notes, feel special in Libre—unique flowers and a unique vanilla. Without a doubt, it’s one of my signature fragrances. This and its little brother, Libre EDT, are bombs for longevity… although I’ve felt the EDT version projects 10 times more. No matter, I love both.
Elegant, feminine, and sensual. I don’t notice much development; it starts sharp and sparkling before giving way to vanilla, lavender, and honey that fade over time. The first time I smelled it in a store, I was hooked, though I was confused because I had sprayed three fragrances and didn’t know which one lasted the longest. I randomly picked Le Parfum, and that’s the one I have. I’ve read that Intense is better, but I’ll try it when I finish this. On my skin, it lasts 4 to 6 hours, much longer on clothes, though it’s not a beast. The trail is moderate. I use it for meetings, outings, or parties, day or night.
It’s sensual, yes, but also elegant and sophisticated. At first, I notice the spicy kick of ginger, but over time, honey, vanilla, and a hint of lavender take over. On my skin, it lasts about 4 hours, but on clothes, it lasts much longer, and the trail is spectacular.
Lavender just isn’t for me. I tried it on my skin and went blind-buying this one because reviews said the lavender would be more prominent, but on my skin it smells like a men’s perfume. I feel it’s too masculine for me.
I love it, it’s gorgeous, elegant, and one of the best fragrances out there.
