Irrésistible Nectar Eau de Parfum by Givenchy is a 2025 creation belonging to the fruity-floral-gourmand olfactive family, designed for women. This new fragrance has been crafted by the perfumer team of Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Caroline Dumur. Honestly, I don’t love it… it smells plasticky, half aquatic, and there’s no pistachio at all. It’s like the Yum Pistachio where you can’t actually smell the pistachio. Later, it just smells like the brand’s iconic flowers.
I didn’t like it because the rose is sharper than in the EDP and competes with the vanilla, as if they aren’t blended well. I agree it has the classic DNA (sweet, aquatic, talc-like rose), you can smell the pistachio or something woody at first, but I don’t detect any woods. The floral aspect gave me a headache. If you love roses and like the Irresistible family, buy it blind; if not, test it first and don’t be fooled by the gourmand vibe.
At first, there’s neroli and something citrusy, then it dries down to an avoirdupois and powdery rose; that effect comes from the pistachio. I also notice a bit of incense, probably the pistachio or the woods. If you like the EDP, you’ll like this one—it’s sweeter and stronger. It smells good, but you need to enjoy powdery or slightly woody roses for it to stick with you.
As soon as it’s sprayed, there’s a super-marked neroli of incredible quality, beautiful, fresh, and clean. After 30 seconds, youthful and juicy roses start, nothing sharp. Then comes the sweetness, the pistachio taking center stage, a bit dry, with a nutty fruit note, while vanilla and cream provide sweetness in the background. It’s very sweet, girly, and lasts 8 hours. It’s gorgeous; I’d wear it all the time except when it’s 104 degrees. Hope this helps ♥ try it.
Not suitable for warm climates. When it sprays, you smell the rose with the pistachio very softly, then it disappears, leaving just a soft rose scent. I wanted to love it, but Irresistible EDP isn’t for me; it doesn’t last on my skin, and this one is even softer. Try it before buying! Don’t trust paid reviews. The box is gorgeous and the bottle is iridescent, but the scent… words can’t describe it.
Great disappointment: the notes promised a lot, but the rose is usually a fiasco here. I hate it; it causes nausea and headaches. Don’t wear it to a party because you won’t wear it again. It’s a waste of money with no personality. Just another floral, nothing new like the Miss Dior.
