Descripción
La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire by Lancôme is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Its opening awakens the senses with bergamot, orange, and green stems; the heart reveals a harmony of Damask rose, rose, rose water, and iris; while the base settles on ambroxan, musk, woody notes, sandalwood, and moss.

What a novelty? Julia Roberts’ face and the most innovative notes we’ve ever seen. LVEB, VATPS.
Here is an option for those who can’t stand the original LVEB. It strays quite a bit from the line. I perceive a very easy, citrusy, and fresh rose, pleasant and ideal for gifting even to someone who isn’t usually into perfume snobbery. It’s a fresh rose. It reminds me of Adolfo Domínguez’s fresh rose water but sweeter and without the moss that Adolfo’s has. It’s priced way too high for such a simple perfume. They haven’t innovated at all. If you don’t like rose, stay away from this fragrance. I would buy it if I didn’t have any other favorite rose perfume in my collection, but I won’t because I’d end up reaching for others of the same style.
It lives up to its name; it smells like a sweet and pleasant rose. Good longevity and sillage. It resembles the traditional eau de parfum a bit but with more rose, and in the opening I feel that sweetness and brightness of orange.
It lives up to its name: smells like a sweet, pleasant rose. Good longevity and sillage. It resembles the traditional eau de parfum but with more rose and in the opening, you catch that orange sweetness and sparkle.
I struggle to write negative reviews for Lancôme because it’s one of my favorite houses and their perfumes work wonderfully on my skin. I’m not a fan of the LVEB line at all and I tried this latest launch out of simple curiosity, expecting nothing wonderful or surprising. Honestly, it left me indifferent. Another rose perfume, absolutely unnecessary, redundant, repetitive, and boring. As pros, the bottle is a beauty and the performance; without bringing my wrist close to my nose, it still smelled six hours later. I would recommend it to devoted lovers of the rose note and to those who collect or like to have all the flankers of this line. Since it’s not my case as I don’t own any, I found this launch completely dispensable.
A very fresh, youthful rose for everyday wear. The proposal is good for those who don’t like the original, but they sacrificed the sillage; it’s quite soft. My favorite so far is Iris Absolu, although I only wear it in cool weather.
I tried it on a sample and I love it. I hate the original, but this fragrance hit me right away. On my skin, the rose doesn’t stand out; instead, it’s all about the citrus. I think it’s a very lovely, cheerful, youthful, and sparkling fragrance.
I tried it on a sample at the store and I love it; I hate the original LVEB, but this fragrance caught my attention immediately. On my skin, the rose doesn’t stand out; instead, it’s the citrus notes. It seems like a very lovely, cheerful, youthful, and sparkling fragrance.
I think Lancôme should stop releasing LVEB flankers and create something new; honestly, I don’t see any innovative ideas… I tried this with no expectations and it turned out great. Nothing new, it’s practically identical to LVEB En Rose minus the raspberry. I love the bottle; if anyone wants the glass, they are welcome.
It’s a good option for those who aren’t fans of the classic. However, the scent smells very similar (or identical) to LVEB En Rose, which I already own, so buying this would be unnecessary. Beautiful bottle, but I feel they need to innovate by creating a new perfume, not more flankers of one that already has a thousand versions.
I hate the original LVEB and I absolutely love this flanker. It is true that it smells very similar to En Rose. They should launch a more innovative line instead.
It’s literally a dream perfume, exactly what I was looking for: feminine and delicate.
Received it as a gift along with a vial of Vie Est Belle. If you want roses without it being heavy or ‘old lady’ style, this is your option. It’s better than the original, less heavy, and more youthful thanks to that fresh floral-fruit vibe on my skin.
I was looking for something fresh for summer and was recommended this flanker because the original made me gag. I fell in love instantly! It’s elegant, citrusy, and youthful, nothing heavy. The citrus notes dominate the opening, the heart smells like dewy roses, and the dry down is clean and sweet, like a little caramel. If you can’t stand the original, try this one; you’ll be surprised. 100% recommended.
I was looking for something fresh and long-lasting for summer. The seller brought this one and I said ‘NOOO, LVEB is strong’. But she told me it was a fresh flanker. I tried it and fell in love. It’s elegant, citrusy, youthful, and light. The citrus notes dominate the top, the heart is dewy roses, not heavy. It settles down at the end but stays clean. At the end, only a sweet caramel remains, maybe ambroxan. 100% recommended for those who can’t stand the original.
If you love roses in perfumes, this is a sure hit. It has a touch of Vie Est Belle but focuses on the flower.
Thank God it doesn’t have the praline and patchouli of the original, though it keeps its DNA. Smells like roses with subtle iris and sandalwood. Has a sweetness, maybe from orange or fruit. Elegant and feminine, ideal for rose lovers. The only downside is there are many similar options. Lasts a long time and projects moderately.
Fallen for it, this Vie Est Belle has truly conquered me.
I loved it! Smells like roses, exactly what I was looking for. 😍
A younger, sparklier rose than its sibling En Rosé, less dusty and more fruity. Lucky me, because I feared it would be the same, but I can have both now. I love LVEB and its derivatives. 🩷🌹
Rose and green, fresh and versatile for day or night, ideal for summer. Lasts a long time for a fresh scent. It’s not the original Vie Est Belle, which is why I bought it. Smells like Polo Sport Woman from the 2000s. Exquisite, feminine, and sensual.
Tested with a sample: sounds weird at first, but then it changes. Opens with mature rose and evolves into a garden of pink roses with morning dew. Reminds me of the LVEB EN ROSE from 2019, the most delicious version before reformulation and discontinuation. I’ll buy it when I can, since that was my favorite.
Bought it for the gift bag and the deal, not the scent. At first, I thought it lacked airiness, but after a month of letting it breathe, what a difference! The roses come out youthful and sweet, like 90s sugar cubes. Smells fresh with a subtle citrus note that balances the sweetness, perfect for spring. Lasts about 6 hours and the bottle is a work of art. Highly recommended. 🌹🌸🌺
Bought it looking for the original La Vie Est Belle and a free gift bag, not for the scent. At first, I thought it lacked oxygen, so I let it mature for a month. Once I tried it, boom! Juvenile roses sweetened like sugar crystals, reminding me of the sugar cubes from 90s coffee shops. Fresh, perfect for spring, with a subtle citrus note that balances the sweetness. Lasts about 6 hours. The bottle is a work of art. A successful blind buy. 🌹🌸
I never tried the classic LVEB or its flankers, but I was gifted a decant I couldn’t get off my nose. Not being a fan of sweet scents, I looked for L’eclat (discontinued) and decided on this one for the citrus notes that were supposed to balance the sweetness. Yes, it keeps the sweetness, but the citrus is in the background, very soft. The rose is the protagonist, so if you don’t like that flower, there’s nothing for you. Moderate trail, doesn’t smell a mile away, but it’s present. I used only two sprays to avoid overwhelming myself. I’ll let it macerate for a few weeks, but I already like it: feminine and elegant. Thank God it doesn’t have vanilla or praline!
As its name suggests, it’s an EXTRAORDINARY rose. My first impression is that it retains the DNA of the classic LVEB from 2012, but evolves into a bouquet of roses with iris and citrus-woody accords. It’s like an explosion of roses with green stems wrapped in iris. It’s not a dupe, but in the drydown it bears a certain resemblance to Lancôme’s Trésor Midnight Rose. If you’re looking for sweetened roses, it’s an excellent choice.
I’ve always been a detractor of the original due to that violent iris and extreme sweetness that gave me headaches. The opening seems like sugar on sugar, like desserts for children. I’m also not a fan of citrus, but this flanker surprised me. The opening is citrusy with balanced, fresh bergamot. The full rose appears quickly, wet, like a garden after the rain. As it evaporates, it leaves a soft, elegant iris, without the aggressive hit of the original. Settling into clear woods and deep musk, not ethereal. I love the drydown: creamy sandalwood with woods and powdery rose, sweet but sophisticated, like bathed in honey with a hint of orange. Recommended for warm days, a totally different and enjoyable LVEB.
The opening has a cut grass green note, a bit sharp, but the drydown is rich. This flanker is to my liking and very different from the EDP. It’s elegantly sweet, not cloying. The rose is softened, just like the iris and woods. I detect the ambroxan base that fixes well and gives it that sugary/resinous touch. It doesn’t resemble Rosé, nor Ángel Nova, VGG, Midnight Rose, or Delina, though it shares that sweet aquatic rose in common. Good longevity, ideal for temperate climates, daily wear, and formal occasions. Youthful and elegant at the same time.
I confess my pH didn’t work with the original Vie est Belle, but this new flanker is a different story. It’s rich, feminine, delicate, and elegant (is there anything more elegant than roses?). Out of all the LVEBs, this is the one I enjoy the most.
Well done and nothing like the traditional LVEB, and I’m glad it’s not. Why have more perfumes that are the same? I acknowledge the classic is iconic and long-lasting, but it feels mass-produced to me, and the patchouli gives it a slightly old-lady vibe. Rose Extraordinaire has the Lancôme spirit: youthful, fresh roses, as if wet with morning dew. Soft, delicate, and distinct from those mature, metallic roses in other perfumes. Paired with soft woods, a touch of powdery iris, and soapy cleanliness. No gourmand or sweet tendency; it’s a simple, elegant, and versatile perfume for any age. Delicate, pleasant, and non-invasive. Projects about half a meter and lasts moderately on skin, much longer on clothes. Alongside Crystal Soleil, these are my favorites.
La Vie est Belle is the Lancôme icon that changed everything: before this, they only did cosmetics and niche perfumes that didn’t take off, until this came along and became addictive, even though many men hate it for being too invasive. Then came the flanker madness, and now I have more bottles than similar potions. In my opinion, an icon shouldn’t be modified, but well, money talks. With this Rose Extraordinaire, it actually smells like roses; it lost that characteristic sweetness, I don’t sense the iris even up close, and the base is powdery sweet. More of the same, but the bottle is pretty. Another one with an even longer name will come this year.
My skin chemistry didn’t work with the original, but with this new flanker, it’s a whole different story. It’s super feminine, delicate, and elegant—what’s more elegant than roses? I enjoy it 100%, and out of all the La Vie Est Belle scents, this is my favorite.
Out of all the LVEBs, this is my favorite. It has nothing to do with the original; the opening didn’t win me over at first, but it quickly became divine and I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. So rich! I get a powdery talc vibe, perfect for any occasion. It’s a simple perfume that guarantees people will say you smell good without fail. It makes me feel like Narciso Rodriguez Poudrée. I don’t know if others experience the same thing.
Do I smell medium aldehyde roses? I need to re-test this. For now, I’m giving it a 50/50, but I’m eager to keep exploring.
Any LVEB flanker beats the original, and this one is no exception: fresh, juicy roses, sparkling citrus, and soft white woods. It’s elegant, feminine, and timeless—a true crowd-pleaser. If you hated the original, don’t worry, this is a whole different world. For rose lovers, Lancôme is the king. Lasts forever with infinite projection without being overwhelming.
