  I’m giving it another shot. I’m a huge fan of the previous Zara Hypnotic Vanilla: it smells almond-y, I can smell it on my wrists all day, it’s comforting, addictive, delicious, and cozy with medium longevity. But after reading only good reviews for the Bloom and buying it excited, upon trying it, it comes out as a confusing scent, like a home air freshener, and then it causes anosmia for me. I don’t perceive it on myself or anything others say. It might be my nose, but it’s the most disappointing purchase. I’ll see if others can smell it and update later. Edit: I think it causes anosmia for me. It’s more subtle, soft, and floral than the original; from a distance, occasionally, a pleasant but almost imperceptible burst comes through.

  I can’t smell it at all. Only noticeable right after spraying, then it disappears from my skin and clothes. I asked several people and they all agreed it smelled like nothing. I’ll let it macerate, and if it doesn’t improve, it’s going out of my collection; right now, it’s a total bust.

  I bought it when it launched in May-July 2024 and kept it for four months in case it improved. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me: it’s pretty, vanilla-based, but dominated by florals, delicate and subtle, with a powdery touch and a slightly tart edge. Compared to the original, this has very poor longevity and sillage; after two or three hours, it’s like I didn’t wear it. It resembles Hypnotic Poison less than the original did. If you don’t like intense scents but want floral vanilla, it might work, though it feels more like a body mist than a perfume. Comparison on my socials @probadoaprobado.

  It smells great, though it’s less potent than the Hypnotic Vanilla. It’s the daytime version of that fragrance or Hypnotic Poison, perfect for everyday wear.

  It ended up annoying me. Even after washing my arm four times since I tried it, it still lasts and projects way too much on my skin.

  It doesn’t even look like Hypnotic Vanilla. It might smell nice, but in my opinion, it belongs in a different line; it completely betrays the original’s DNA. There’s no trace of caramel or vanilla.

  I’m obsessed. Unlike others, I prefer this Bloom over the original Hypnotic Vanilla: it’s more sensual, less sweet, with a creamy texture and almond notes. I love that fruity touch; I catch a hint of red berries not listed on the card. I wear it day or night, perfect for Autumn and Winter. The longevity is acceptable, and since it’s affordable, I don’t mind repurchasing.
