  • It arrived in Chile a few days ago, I went to try it, and it’s not my cup of tea. The ink adds something strange, and in fact, everyone who smelled it said it smells like rotting apples. That scent unfortunately lingers until the very end, and the combination with the vanilla isn’t very pleasant.

There’s something about it that doesn’t quite convince me. The performance on skin is good: about one meter of projection and six to seven hours. On clothes, it lasts until the next day. It’s unisex but leans more masculine than feminine. It’s a night scent and for cold days. Despite having vanilla, it feels cold and distant, with a fleeting sweetness. Also, the vanilla is very synthetic and slightly boozy/alcoholic, which I don’t really like. It also has a weird, very subtle point, like dampness, which must be the ink or its combination, and personally, it doesn’t win me over. For the price, it’s decent, but it’s not for everyone.

  • I already own Supreme Vanilla and Vanilla Vibration; I loved them so much that I took advantage of the sale to buy 80ml refill bottles—I was literally drinking them up. I adore Supreme Vanilla on its own; many people say the ink smells like dampness, mold, or a closed closet, but I don’t get that. To me, it’s an off-the-beaten-path vanilla, leaning unisex, and the ink smells more like a pencil lead, transporting me back to childhood. I tried layering both and it was a total hit. Supreme amps up Vibration’s vanilla and adds the sweetness it lacks; between the smoky notes and cardamom, that bothersome ink disappears. Maybe this way we can give a second life to this lovely fragrance that many have forgotten.

  • My in-laws gave it to me for my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. It was on my list because, unlike others who don’t enjoy it, I absolutely love the ink note. Sweet perfumes don’t really appeal to me, but this one has truly wowed me. I adored the ink—a very special scent for me—but my biggest surprise was the evolution into that beautiful, elegant, mature vanilla. It makes you want to bathe in autumn, brew some tea, and wrap yourself in a blanket while reading. What a treat that they gave me the large bottle; I fell in love. I wouldn’t wear it in summer, though; it would be too much.

  • Spectacular. The first time I smelled it, I was immediately drawn in—I’d never noticed the ink note before. A few days later, I had to buy it because I couldn’t get it out of my head. In Chile, only Supreme and Hypnotic were available; I own both and each has its own vibe. For me, the ink adds an ash-like quality that bothers some people, making them say it smells like cigarettes. It starts as smoky vanilla, but once it dries down, wow, it becomes gourmand and deep. I bought it for layering and it was a hit. I noticed the difference: this is a gray gourmand, while Hypnotic is floral vanilla with an acidic, non-gourmand twist. Hypnotic projects better, but in the dry-down, I think Supreme smells better. I’m hoping the rest of the vanilla line arrives soon. It’s unisex at first but totally feminine once it settles. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin, probably longer, but I reapply because I still want it around lunchtime. Excellent for all climates except the beach or 30-degree heat, where it gets overwhelming. Cold and fresh weather is where it shines.

  • This is the perfect dupe for Kayali’s Vanilla 28; it’s 99% identical, almost 100%. It has great longevity, so I highly recommend it.

I liked it, though the ink note is strange at first and fades over time. It’s quite sweet. It doesn’t smell like Devotion as people say. At first, it reminds me of By the Fireplace, but then the vanilla takes over. Maybe it’s not for everyone; I’d recommend the 30 ml size.

  • I tried this today at Zara and absolutely loved it. I was wondering which strong, gourmand vanilla it reminded me of… Ah, Devotion! I get that vanilla and the rich pastry vibe, but without the lemon. It’s pure vanilla essence, beautiful. No doubt I’d buy it. I sprayed it on my skin 3 hours ago with just one mist, and it’s still there.

  • At first, it’s a bit like Eilish or Nebras due to the smoky, spicy notes. People say it’s a dupe for Margiela’s By The Fireplace (burnt woods) and lasts like that for the first two hours; then it settles into a rich, sugary, sensual gourmand vanilla. You can smell the pink sugar without it being sharp or giving you a headache; it’s very enjoyable, super rich, like brown sugar melting and fizzing in your mouth. When it dries, it smells like candy or chocolate dessert (the vanilla) that you want to eat: subtle, not overwhelming, inviting you to hug and snuggle, to warmth. Edit: I smelled it on my mother’s skin the next day and thought it was Poison Girl; I got confused because the tonka bean was so marked and rich, almond-like. If you let it macerate or oxidize (in a dark, dry drawer) for at least two months, the longevity will be beastly, just like the trail and projection; two or three sprays in the same spot will be enough to perfume the room.

  • Beautiful fragrance: the opening is soft but with a slightly dirty, muddy touch, likely from the ink note. As it dries, the vanilla shines pure, like an extract, with a natural sugar sweetness—nothing artificial. It doesn’t scream tobacco, but you can smell it in the background. It’s neither too feminine nor masculine; it’s original and boosts other scents, perfect with vanilla or tonka. Medium-to-high longevity; I smelled it after showering and was pleasantly surprised.

  • Horrible on my skin! I don’t know if it’s my nose, but I expected a delicious, gourmand, slightly smoky vanilla, and what I smell is a boiled corn cob from the supermarket—that boiled or toasted tassel. I was confused when that recognizable smell appeared, which I assume others associate with ashtrays, and it doesn’t go away: it stays unpleasant, potent, and it’s the last thing I want to smell. The vanilla isn’t noticeable; I just feel like I’ve smeared a corn cob all over myself. A nightmare.

  • This fragrance is ugly! I tried it yesterday and I don’t understand how it has so many good reviews. I showed it to everyone, and they said the same thing: it smells like dirt, dirty vanilla, and a bit rotten. After a few hours, I started noticing more vanilla and less of the rest, but it’s really not worth it. The rotten smell leaves a terrible trail.

It’s the first Zara perfume that lasts more than three hours and keeps its trail intact. It has an Eilish or Nebras vibe at the beginning, then it becomes super vanilla. I liked it quite a bit.

  • MariangelinaC

I bought it blind and it didn’t disappoint: it’s divine vanilla, less dense than the others in the collection. You can taste the sugar, but it’s not overly sweet; it feels very balanced. I need to compare it with the others to decide, but if you like vanilla without too many twists or background notes, you’ll love it. Yes, when it dries, I sense a slight earthy touch, and I don’t like that much.

  • I tried it at Zara, and maybe I’m crazy, but the opening smelled like fresh, juicy beets with that characteristic sweet earthy scent. I didn’t like it; it seemed too juicy to me. After a few hours, it does smell like vanilla and caramel, very similar to Warm Sugar by B&B Works. I should go back to smell it again to find that ink note.

  • lolieugenia

If you like vanilla, you might not like this one because brown sugar stands out more, giving it a darker vibe. It reminds me of Kayali’s Vanilla 28, though I prefer the latter. It has great projection, scent, and longevity. The price is super accessible. I like it and have the 30 ml bottle; I wear it out and keep it in my bag.

  • The opening is gorgeous, but once it dries on my skin, it smells like an ashtray, as if they’re trying to cover up cigarette butt smells with air freshener. I had to wash my wrist three times because it made me nauseous.

  • MishaReview

I love it, even though it’s not my usual scent. On my skin, it turns into burnt black sugar and caramel; I barely notice the ink, but cedar and tonka bean stand out at first. Perfect for night or very cold days—it’s sweet, and people tell me it smells like pure vanilla. Lasts about 6 hours, leaves a trail for an hour, and on clothes for up to two days. I recommend it: try it before buying blindly because it’s not for everyone.

  • I’m in love with this scent. And for the price, the longevity is very good; on my skin, about 4-5 hours, not bad for Zara!!

  • The opening has a very pronounced ink note that makes it smell very unpleasant; I didn’t like it at all. It smells like ash, burnt tires, or something similar; I don’t feel the vanilla in the opening, only after an hour or so. I’m quite disappointed with the scent since it’s not what I expected.

  • Dirty ambroxan that won’t leave the skin even after dipping my arm in acid and a roadside bar ashtray. Those are the two correct notes in this so-called ‘perfume’.

  • I love it! I smell it very similar to Lattafa’s Eclaire. I detect the ink, which feels like rubber or gum (a note I think is unnecessary), but it’s very subtle; then the vanilla and sugar appear.

  • Less burnt sugar. I don’t understand why it has so many bad reviews; it seems very similar to Vanilla 28. Dark, sweet-sweet vanilla and burnt sugar. The ink makes it dark. The tonka bean and cedar are barely noticeable but add character, wrapping everything up nicely. A lovely perfume for winter; personally, I go crazy for fragrances with sugar; they’re addictive to me. They’ve become quite trendy after the Baccarat Rouge or Roses Vanilla boom. I like this because it’s not the typical Red Temptation that you can smell all over Europe. I’m not complaining…

  • I had high expectations for this fragrance after enjoying Golden Decade and Rose Gourmand (which I didn’t like at first but ended up loving), but I doubt this one can compete with them. The opening is an ink smell like tobacco, but more like an ashtray than a cigarette; then the vanilla and sugar come through, but they aren’t worth it with such a horrible opening… what a shame 😢

  • Impossible to handle the opening. On my skin, it smelled like cigarette smoke. Repulsive. After 3 hours, it improves, but it’s an outright no.

  • Blind buy. The vanilla here is great, smells very sweet and pleasant, but I didn’t like the ink note; it just came out weird on my skin 😢. Sold it on Vinted. It doesn’t resemble Kayali’s version at all.

  • I already left a review, but I’m posting another because I see so many people comparing Supreme Vanilla to Vanilla 28, Nebraska, or By the Fireplace. You just have to see how different they are to realize they aren’t all similar. If it resembles any of them, it’s most like Vanilla 28. But don’t expect a dupe because it isn’t one. This is more vanilla-forward, sugary, and highlights its particular ink note which gives it depth, whereas in Vanilla 28 the tonka bean is more noticeable, it’s more floral, even ‘almonded’ and slightly toasted by the brown sugar. They do resemble each other more in the dry-down, but in the opening, there’s nothing alike.

  • It’s my friend’s go-to perfume, and I grabbed the small size because I loved the scent. Luckily, it works well for me too, though I save it for special occasions. I don’t think it’s a direct dupe of Vanilla 28; it’s more of a unique Zara creation with a very different and bold twist. The ink note is absolutely phenomenal for me, and as an artist who works with ink, I couldn’t be happier. Lasts about 5-6 hours on skin and clothes until washed. Bravo to Zara, though I live with the fear they’ll pull this or the Immortal Vanilla… Gender: unisex/feminine Age range: 16+ Longevity: 8.5/10 Sillage: 7/10 Originality: 9/10 Wearability: 7.5/10 Overall score: 8.5/10

  • I bought the perfume and let it macerate in the drawer for a month, and it’s incredible how long it lasts: 16 hours on skin, super rich.

  • Igualquelaspolillas

This fragrance confuses me a bit. Right when I bought it (in the middle of winter), I used it for several days and it was a very rich, sweet vanilla. I let it rest, and the ink note came out in full glory; I’m not sure if I like it or not. It really smells like Bic pencil ink. It turns into a darker vanilla, and that note fades as it dries. It’s interesting to combine with other vanillas, but I want to give it another chance when it gets cold again here.

  • Paniperfums

Absolutely NOT similar to Vanilla 28. Where they can walk together is in the chocolatey base of both, but the rest is nothing. I even bought it because I had a decant of Vanilla 28, and when it arrived, I realized they weren’t similar. Both go down different paths, and that’s fine; they don’t have to look alike. I liked the heart and base, but not the top note because that ink note makes it dry and rough. It has the following phases, but the top note doesn’t last long, so keep that in mind.

  • I like that it’s vanilla-based, but there’s something between the notes that smells like incense and I don’t like it; I’m not sure if it’s the ink note. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy it.

  • It’s rich, but I’m not sure if it’s the ink note that makes it smell like cigarettes on clothes. I’m not sure if it’s my perception, but it reminds me of a smoker’s clothes, and that’s why I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Excellent fragrance: sugared vanilla with cedar, nothing more. Very simple yet exquisite. On my complicated skin where nothing lasts more than 3 hours, this is impressive: a solid 8 hours with a brutal trail in the first 4. Be careful with sprays because it can be too much, but it’s perfect for layering. I had it on my mind weeks after trying it, and a girl on the bus convinced me to buy it; you could really smell her trail. If you want to smell like vanilla, this is perfect: not too sweet, the cedar gives it body and elegance. 10/10.

  • I’m so angry they already discontinued it. The experts are great at killing good things, but at least these trashy bottles last twice as long.
