Cool Water by Davidoff is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 1988, this composition was created by perfumer Pierre Bourdon. The top notes unfold with sea water, lavender, mint, green notes, rosemary, calone, and cilantro; the heart reveals sandalwood, neroli, geranium, and jasmine; while the base notes settle with musk, oakmoss, cedar, tobacco, and ambergris.

  • Not much to add: as it dries down and after a few hours, one note dominates so much that it borders on giving me a headache. Hopefully, it’s just me. It’s good for the price, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Cristovvv06

Cool Water is ‘cold water’: the first two hours smell very fresh, like the sea with mint and spices. Then, for another two hours, it turns vintage and green. Recommended only for hot days and guys 20 and up. Packaging: thin cardboard with a simple design (7.0). Bottle: blue/green with a plastic cap that can’t support the weight, simple but correct design (8.0). Spray mechanism: for the price, it mists better than expensive ones (9.0). Price: 20-30 dollars for 125ml, very accessible (9.0). Longevity: good for the first two hours, then 4 hours close to the skin, totaling about 5-6 hours (8.0). Projection: reaches a meter in the first hour (8.0). Sillage: weak, but good in the first hour (7.5). Target audience: men over 30 and older ladies; younger guys won’t like it (7.0). Final score: 7.9. Conclusion: fresh and rich aroma. A safe blind buy if you’re over 28; if you’re under 25, don’t buy it. People complain about longevity, but 25 dollars for 125ml is cheap. A good perfume with a vintage touch.

A true summer classic! Smells like the sea, summer, and a summer breeze. Leaves a refreshing coolness on the skin. You can detect lavender, mint, geranium, and sea water. The scent is spectacular; I fell in love the moment I smelled it. Longevity and sillage range from moderate to high, leaving a sense of calm and relaxation. Excellent aroma at an unbeatable price. If I didn’t have so many perfumes, I’d reorder it without hesitation. If this were a song, it would be ‘La Isla Bonita’ by Madonna.

  • I tried it with some skepticism due to negative reviews, but I actually liked it. It’s a classic post-shower scent for mature men. Marine notes with a touch of tobacco add maturity, though as it dries down, a slightly plastic note emerges, making it a bit ‘dirty,’ but not unpleasant. Works well for men 35+ in spring/summer. Performance matches the price: 4-5 hours. Projection is low but gives that freshly showered vibe. At 20 euros for 125ml, it’s a good deal and a worthy Father’s Day gift.

  • A classic I recently discovered; I always saw it on sale and dismissed it as too ‘vintage’. After trying it, I thought, ‘I’ve heard this before’—it’s a familiar scent someone close to you probably wears. It’s rich, fresh, yet present, with surprising longevity for the price: lasts about 6 hours. Ideal for guys 25+ in spring/summer, perfect for refreshing after a gym session. I grabbed the 200ml bottle for this summer. It’s better than its flankers; I didn’t like the Parfum, and the Intense smells good but doesn’t quite convince me.

  • Daniel cabrera

I tested it on blotter paper and was disappointed: it’s strong, but after 20 sprays, you’ll pass out. I’d recommend no more than 4 sprays.

  • dpineda85

Fresh and clean scent, nothing more. It’s not amazing; it just serves to smell good.

  • DavidNeko

Cool Water has been a classic since 1988 with a solid spot in men’s perfumery. Its charm is simplicity: a clean opening like icy water, featuring lavender, mint, and green notes. As it develops, you get floral nuances and a clean oceanic touch. The base is woody and musky without being harsh. No dramatic twists; it stays fresh and true to its essence. Perfect for everyday wear in spring/summer. It delivers without overcomplicating things. Moderate longevity and projection. 7.5/10: an accessible classic.

  • Doesn’t work for me. Smells just like Armand Dupree from Avon or car air fresheners, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

  • HarryPSG82

Don’t have high hopes for clothes. Its strength is on the skin: at the start, it’s a bomb, and after a few hours, it disappears to become a skin scent. It’s already lost its power. I remember everyone young in the 90s and 2000s used it. I liked it, so I bought a 100ml EDT presentation a couple of years ago. From time to time, in the mornings, I apply it to my arms and neck… Excellent aftershave that will make you jump from the alcohol. It’s rare to see someone wear it, and I consider it a great morning fragrance for a quick shopping trip and smelling clean and delicious at home. I love it for the notes it gives; it must be because I was born in the 80s.

  • Perecioso

I came from the opposite direction and after years of enjoying GIT, I was gifted CW. I understand the similarity; they are very close if you look past the unnecessary sweetness they’ve added to CW. It’s a pity because it would be a marvel if not for that sweetness. Has it always been like this, or is it a thing with current batches where everything is sweet to diabetic levels? For anyone who detests its sweetness like me, I recommend Egra Men by Rasasi. It’s in the same line as CW and GIT, it resembles the Creed one more, and it’s also affordable.

  • It’s a good men’s perfume, green, fresh, and great for getting out of the shower and getting back in. Unfortunately, that’s where its use ends for me; it lasts a breath. Although it starts strong, it vanishes after 30 minutes and fades to skin scent, which makes the 200ml I grabbed at a bargain price a waste for me. I’ll have to hunt for an older batch because the new ones aren’t worth it; it lasts like a cologne. I’m sadly not recommending it.

  • Darmody1917

I like it, even though I’m not a huge fan of green notes, and that’s what dominates Cool Water. It’s fresh from start to finish. The opening is harsh, green, and slightly bitter. After a few minutes, that bitterness disappears, and it becomes soft, green, aromatic, clean, and a bit soapy. It’s pleasant to wear. Longevity isn’t amazing, about 3 hours, then it fades to skin scent. In summer, you get out of the shower, spray it on, and feel luxurious. All for 27€ for 200ml. Being a classic, it’s almost a crime not to own it.

  • emiguemoo

Super fresh, smells like a trip to the beach. I’ve gotten a few compliments when people get close to me. It’s fine if you can grab the 200ml version for around 25€, but it doesn’t last long and its sillage is small. The only downside is the opening; it smells like pure alcohol for the first minute until the citrus and marine notes kick in.

  • I find it simply unpleasant. Extremely synthetic and green, but in a bad way. The first spray burns the hairs on your nose. I wouldn’t recommend it even to my worst enemy.

  • I still see masterpieces, but Cool Water is eternal. It’s been with me for years and holds a special place in my heart. It smells very masculine, a classic from the late 80s that conquered many people in the 90s right here in Spain. It’s an ode to summer and masculinity. It doesn’t last long, but I forgive it everything.

  • Padmasambhava

When I found out the perfumer was Pierre, I went to try it. I imagined something different… but no. A total letdown. It could be used for the gym… but for the price, you might as well buy a kayak from Natura. What a pain!

  • JuanCanada

If there were a fragrance bestseller, this would have to be in the top 10. I think everything has already been said about it. It’s clean, fresh, and at an excellent price. Women love it (if you’re looking for compliments). Informal, winner-man vibe. Maybe some clueless person might think it smells like disinfectant, but for me, it’s a gem. I hope they never discontinue it. I’m already on my third bottle (and I own over 100 perfumes).

  • Carcanuelo

To those who disdainfully criticize this perfume, I’d like to see them in a blind test. It’s easy to judge based on price. Perfumery is a pareidolia. Cool Water isn’t worse than Green Irish Tweed, nor is it a clone; the similarity is limited. The price difference isn’t just about ingredients. Cool Water is a flanker, not a clone. Many perfumers use creations as inspiration. It’s inferior to Creed only in longevity, but its aromatic quality is superb. It’s more musky/soapy and seductive, with a warm touch. Creed is denser and more elegant, but they are distinct perfumes. The quality-to-price ratio of Cool Water is unbeatable.

  • Perfume richo. Does it last? Yes, enough, between 6 and 8 hours. Suddenly it’s my pH. Abstain, ‘Arab’ kids.

  • Great for everyday wear in summer and spring. Excellent price point, and I get about 6 hours of longevity. Honestly, you can’t ask for much more at this price.

  • I laughed reading comparisons to Green Irish Tweed, that Creed classic smelling of a British gentleman in a checkered waistcoat and heritage, but damn! It’s that vibe but softened. My experience was the opposite: I already owned GIT and saw Cool Water as a Brummel thing and all that, and wow! What a pleasant surprise. After reading it’s by the same perfumer and the controversy over the similarity, I wore it one afternoon last week to head into the mountains during a heatwave. It felt like a blast of fresh air. What struck me most was that after 4-5 hours of sweating up Peñalara in the evening, I’d get bursts of scent coming through my open pores with the sweat. It was the perfect choice for that day and place.

  • Augusto Enci

Hailed for its aquatic freshness, in reality, it offers an experience I can only describe as a synthetic slap disguised as cheap nostalgia. From the first spray, you get marine notes and lavender trying to sound clean but smelling like bathroom disinfectant with perfume pretensions. The fougère structure is so heavy it transports me to a decadent 80s barbershop where cheap aftershave reigns supreme. The worst part is the longevity: it doesn’t last a little, it lasts too long. An invasive projection that turns any enclosed space into an involuntary tribute to bad taste. The dry down is an oxidized aquatic accord with a flat, artificial woody base. A true synthetic festival. Gift it? Only if you want to end a friendship. Recommend it? Only to someone who wants to relive the worst of 90s mainstream perfumery. That said: test it before if you dare. I can’t handle it.

  • I call this fragrance ‘Daddy’s Hug’. When you’re a kid and an adult relative greets you or gives you two kisses, you catch that clean marine scent. It brings back childhood memories. Perfect for hitting on the ‘daddy issues’ crowd of twenty-somethings and up.

  • I used to wear this in my teens and remember it differently; I guess my olfactory memory played a trick on me. When I bought it recently, it smelled different to me. The first application wasn’t what I expected, but the second time, applying it generously, it reminded me of freshly washed and hung laundry—that crisp, clean burst that makes you close your eyes. A momentary pleasure. It’s called Cool Water. Its Achilles’ heel is performance, but that’s also its strength, offering so many options: going shopping, grabbing a drink, hitting the movies, or the mall. It even works for an intimate date, where it shines best up close. Performance is weak but pleasant. You can feel it for about 4 hours; if you walk by someone, they’ll notice. By 6 hours, it’s skin-deep, only 10-15 cm away. Cool Water won an award in 2009 and is in the Hall of Fame. According to Coty, a bottle sells every 8 minutes worldwide, making it the brand’s most successful line and among the top 10 best-selling men’s fragrances. In short, it should be in any collection worth its salt.

  • MisterLombardo

I like the scent at first… but I think it’s my skin; once it dries, it picks up a note I don’t like. I can’t quite explain it, like the marine note goes bad the moment it touches me. When I smell it from the bottle, it’s exquisite.

  • I see it as versatile, perfect for the office or the gym. It lasts 4 to 6 hours on the skin. Projection is moderate. For the price, you can’t ask for more—it’s cheap and simple, but with a mature scent. If you’re young, you might not dig it as much; I’d probably go for a Montblanc or something cheap and aromatic instead. 7/10.

  • I just received this Christmas gift and honestly, I’m not a fan of the initial projection, but the dry-down on my skin is amazing because you can already smell the mint and floral notes. It’s very versatile for daytime use since it’s fresh and light. It lasts about 3 hours, and then you need to reapply, but it’s a good perfume.

  • Andrés Maetxa

It’s been a delicious and affordable classic for over 30 years. At first, I thought it smelled rancid, like old clothes, but once it opened up on my skin, it was pure delight! It smells like a rugged, classic man—strong yet charismatic and natural. Think of fresh tobacco from a pack with a touch of amber and moss; rich and clean. It lasts about 3 hours if you really soak into it. It’s not meant to impress, but to enjoy, set the mood, or wear after a smoke before heading to work. Scent: 9.6, Projection: 6.5, Longevity: 2.9. Final Rating: 6/10 (63.3% perfection).

  • A very good fragrance that, like wine, has aged with class. That blend of marine notes with lavender and mint is very rich for a warm day, recommended for everyone, although I don’t see it as ideal for someone very young at first.

  • JavierSantana

@yeik Surprising. I have the 2024 formula and it lasts 6-8 hours without any issues. Reapplying is an absolute disease; let the perfume die in peace.

  • Nachoman2406

Every man should own one. Refreshing. Ideal after a shower in very hot weather. Unfortunately, my bottle has been sitting for a year and the longevity still hasn’t improved.

  • On Skin Parfums

Hi, I bought this for about €17 for 100 ml. This is the last bottle (I’ve had several before). It’s a classic I always keep in my collection. A masculine scent (without being over the top like some 80s fragrances), with that marine touch I love. I also wear it in winter during the day if I’m running errands because, honestly, I like it. Pity that before it lasted 7 hours on skin (if that’s even possible), today it’s only about 3 hours. Obviously, it lasts longer on clothes. But given the price, it stays in my collection. For me, it’s more masculine than feminine. Although people should smell it in the first or second hour to notice, at least in my case, it’s usually liked if they catch it. I recommend it if you like classic masculine aquatic scents. I’ll buy it again when I run out. Cheers!

  • Efrain Moises Garcia Deni

A fresh and clean fragrance through and through; it reminds me of my father. Whenever he wore perfume, the scent gave me the same feeling that this one does now. Now, honestly, it’s not for me—it’s not a scent I enjoy, especially on the initial projection where it’s even a bit overwhelming. Once it dries down, the notes help make it more digestible. In fact, it was so much that I ended up gifting the perfume to my father right after opening it. Good fragrance, just a pity I didn’t appreciate it sooner.

  • I bought it without testing it, and the moment I smelled it, I was transported back to university because it reminded me of a very similar Oriflame version. From the first minute, it smells fresh, icy, and special. On the dry-down, I notice salinity and spicy green notes, but as it settles on the skin, it becomes sweeter and softer. It brings back memories, so it has more emotional weight; unknowingly, I used to wear an unmistakable scent like Cool Water, which seems essential in any collector’s wardrobe.

  • cyanaardvark

I remember it being much weaker back then, but after trying it again, it still projects strongly from 10 cm away after almost 8 hours. At first, it projected a ton—I even tested The Most Wanted EDP Intense on the other arm to see which would win. I don’t know if they changed the formula or if my skin was just in a good mood, but I’m really surprised. Scent: 10/10.

  • Daniel Henderson 77

A very rich, classic, old-school fragrance. It smells very aquatic with soft lavender and pleasant green notes. It’s for summer; although it doesn’t smell totally modern, you can still wear it if you like good classics like this. I used it a long time ago, but this image always comes to mind: a boat at sea, an unbuttoned white shirt, and swim trunks… I don’t know why, but that’s what I imagine. Very pleasant to the nose. There are low-cost Argentine perfumes that imitate this scent quite well, but Cool Water is unique.

A summer classic, perfect for the gym or right after a shower; smells like fresh water and I keep coming back for it because the price never disappoints.

  • It’s my mom’s cologne from when I was seven, ideal for Mediterranean heat and it kicks in with humidity. Although my mom’s version was a supermarket dupe, it stays true to the original: a sweet but fresh aquatic base with jasmine at the end. On me, it smells unisex, floral, and perfect for daytime, the gym, or a festival. Everyone from young to old loves it, and it’s highly recommended for the price and availability.

  • Must test this on skin: on paper it smells fresh and fruity, but on my skin it turns synthetic and very different, like a completely different perfume.

  • A classic floral aquatic and fruity scent, better in the heat and very popular. I don’t love it as much; I prefer smelling it on others. The note mix gets tiring to me; it smells fresh but heavy. It lasts longer than expected, and at 23 euros for 100ml, it’s a steal if it’s your style.

  • freshsweetfruitydelicious

I love the scent and will always use it, but I wouldn’t buy it again because my body splashes last longer. It’s good for sports, but for that, I’d rather use a body splash.

  • I thought ‘floral with fruit’ when I smelled it. The melon gives it a fresh, aquatic sweetness, something acidic. My friends thought I was about to buy it, so it’s not very feminine. It’s fresh and fruity without being cloying. Only the lime stings my nose a bit, but overall it’s good for the gym or short walks to feel clean for a while.

  • A summer classic. I discovered it through a friend who wore the men’s version and gifted me this one to enjoy together; both are super refreshing for the heat. Nothing sweet, just that freshness that counters the heat, as its name says: an essential cold drink every summer.

  • MariaConstanza

I adore it. It subtly perfumes you but definitely makes an impression. It’s one of those vital scents that lifts your mood and lasts.

  • This is truly quality perfume at a good price. I bought it blind, the large 200ml bottle at an accessible price, based on positive reviews. It’s a floral aquatic with a citrus touch; the scent isn’t my favorite, but it leaves a trail and the best part is that it lasts forever. I could still smell it the next day; I can’t believe it’s an EDT. I like it for daily use, hot days, and whenever I want something refreshing.

  • Nahuellperfumestexas24

Wishing everyone a great day. COOL WATERS by Davidoff has been my signature scent for almost 20 years and my husband’s favorite. He prefers me to wear it on all our dates, knowing I have many more exquisite and high-end perfumes. He says nothing surpasses it, which is crazy. To please him, I always wear it when we go out, while I use my others on the remaining days. For me, it’s fresh, aquatic, clean, sexy, elegant, and makes me feel attractive and very chic. I’ll keep using it for the rest of my life. The coolest part is its affordable price and that it’s still going strong after all these years. They still sell it, a round of applause to its creator Pierre Bourdon. Perfumes and more… Nahuell.

  • The marine note feels very spicy to me, escaping behind that initial kick. It’s like a more potent, spicier Halloween version, ideal for aquatic lovers but with a eucalyptus touch not listed on the label. When it’s hot—which is what it was made for—I don’t feel like being spicy; everyone else thinks it’s divine though.

  • Fernanda12

It’s a pretty meh fragrance—not worth obsessing over, but it works if you just want people to know you’re wearing perfume. I’ve had it for 10 years and don’t smell anything aquatic; it’s more citrusy, herbal, and spicy with fresh cloves. Lime stands out at first, then quince and melon balance it out. Performance is mediocre—basic, but gets you out of a pinch if you don’t care much about being noticed. Sillage 4/10, Smell 5/10, Projection 3/10, Longevity 5/10.

  • polishcreative

My experience hasn’t been good. The scent feels heavy and has a too-alcoholic base that I don’t like. Despite its reputation for being refreshing, it doesn’t feel pleasant or balanced on my skin. I don’t detect any fruit or talc; it smells more like detergent or a breezy room freshener.

  • I love it—it’s good, beautiful, and cheap. I can’t describe the notes, but when I smell it, I imagine a blue glacier in Antarctica, pure winter breeze. It’s delicious, super fresh and cold, ideal for any season. It’s a reliable workhorse; many people have complimented it, and it’s one of the few I’ve actually liked. It’s super versatile for any age, and it lasts FOREVER on my skin all day and on clothes until I wash them.

  • Aidesita

I love its scent—it’s very fresh and unlike anything else. The downside is that I think they changed the formula because it doesn’t last long on my skin anymore. It’s great for daytime wear, and if your chemistry clicks with it, trust me, people will be asking what you’re wearing.

  • A resounding NO—I hated it. In the store, the clerk insisted I try it on my skin, so I rushed to the bathroom to take it off; the smell wouldn’t wash off even with soap. I can’t find any listed notes; on my skin, it smells like stale floor cleaner—not sweet, not fruity, not aquatic, just an acidic, unpleasant odor that doesn’t even seem like perfume. Simply horrible; I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The people accompanying me could still smell it on my arm after washing it three times, and they didn’t like it either.

  • nataliedrm

One of my high school favorites that I still love today. How could you forget that freshness with its citrus and vanilla touch? Cool Water was perfect for sports days; I felt fresh, it lasted all day, and I stood out everywhere. It smells clean and matched the quality of the men’s version. But it’s not all gold: now Coty produces it, it’s been reformulated, and the longevity isn’t what it used to be. What a shame, because easily it could rival Light Blue if not for that. Despite everything, I love it, it’s one I wouldn’t change, and if the bottle runs out, I’ll buy it again because it’s part of my life. If you’ve never tried it and like Light Blue, you won’t regret it.

  • Excellent fragrance, very fresh all day long. It gives you a feeling of cleanliness. I’d buy it again without hesitation.

  • Smells very clean and refreshing. I can’t identify any listed notes, maybe just some very distant white flowers. Completely unisex.

  • whisper_of_love

Not much to add to what’s already been said: it smells like being stuck to the sea mixed with body cream. It’s a scent I like, and I’d love to try it in full summer to see how it performs.

  • A top-tier fragrance, super fresh and versatile. Very aquatic and goes with everything; it clings to the skin and is noticeable hours later, with great longevity. It’s not my absolute favorite, but I’ve bought it several times; I keep coming back to it from time to time. I agree with another review: the bottle is a nightmare, the shape slips out of your hand—I don’t know why they’ve never changed it.

  • I had it when I was very young and hated it; there’s something very jarring in the fragrance, an acidic aroma that I found unpleasant.

  • Gabella10

An exquisite fragrance. I love it; it transports me to Mediterranean countries… sea, sun. It feels very energizing and refreshing. Its longevity and sillage are excellent. I highly recommend it.

  • A boyfriend gifted it to me in 1999, and I loved it; I later bought it three more times, even the shower gel and body lotion. I adore its fresh and energizing scent.

  • Yasmin2015

Refreshing, sweet, and smells clean. Personally, I like it a lot, and it doesn’t seem to have been on the market for more than 20 years. Excellent for heat. Sillage is moderate and longevity is excellent for an EDT; I’ve felt it on my skin for over 7 hours. Plus, it’s very affordable.

  • This is the perfume of my adolescence and never leaves my collection. To me, its scent represents the intense summer of the Dominican Republic; that pineapple along with lemon and melon offers that much-cherished refreshing touch in a fragrance for hot days. It lasts about 8 hours, which is why I love it for my workday. It makes me feel fresh and comfortable.

  • charlotinable

Certainly, it always seemed to me more like a household cleaning product than something for personal use; it always struck me as very jarring and heavy. But just now, at 46, it’s become a perfume I didn’t appreciate much in its heyday, and I’ve started to like it. It’s wonderful for very hot summer days, and although it doesn’t have mint, cucumber, or eucalyptus, I still sense those notes on my skin along with rose and melon. I’ve already picked up two bottles, and I’m really starting to like it; maybe not enough to adore it, but for the price, it’s worth it and the quality it still retains, since it seems nothing has been reformulated, making it wearable and pleasant. It really gives me a sense of freshness and cleanliness that lasts a long time, and that’s enough for me.

  • For me, a fresh breeze when I want to take a break from the sweet and woody scents I usually wear. The fact that it’s not very expensive means I’ve even used it to go to the beach, where I think this perfume’s soul truly belongs. Far from smelling like a cleaning product like many said, I feel it’s the ideal perfume for those 38-degree days. As soon as I put it on, I feel fresh without losing my well-perfumed, sweet, and feminine vibe. It immediately reminds me of the sea and the wind, even if I’m on the subway on a Tuesday, haha. I also like that it’s not a very talked-about perfume these days (2023) or among people my age (30), so it’s rare to smell someone else wearing it (which I don’t like at all). Then I have a special love for it because the classic Davidoff for men was my grandfather’s perfume, and my dad uses it a lot too; although the women’s fragrance is different, they share a note with that ‘Davidoff’ seal that brings me a bit of nostalgia and a sense of home. It’s the only non-woody or vanilla perfume that ever conquered me, and my only option B outside of my similar classics.

  • Fresh, citrusy, and aquatic to the max, but it fades within an hour on the skin. I wear it to sleep because it smells like just out of the shower—super clean. A timeless classic that never goes out of style.

  • One of my all-time favorite fragrances. I’ve bought it several times without ever getting bored. It’s timeless, fresh, clean, elegant, and has a trail you won’t confuse with anything else. Because of its originality, every perfume lover should own a bottle.

  • My favorite aquatic scent. I remember it from college, school, and my hobbies. It was huge, defining a generation that jumped between fresh, citrusy, clean colognes just when CK One and DKNY were revolutionizing the market. Cool Water emerged as the perfect marine cologne for everyday wear. Lidl even sold a clone called ‘Eau de Chalou’ that I loved. It’s synthetic marine freshness and utopia—beautiful and very pleasant. It was the trendy scent that still exists for noses who love aquatic colognes; it’s the purest one I know of that style. Back in the day, there were also sweet gumdrop, chocolate, and vanilla perfumes for teens, but the selection was much broader and varied (with good quality options like Eau Jeune or Coty…) compared to today, where the aromatic context is totally different.

  • A timeless classic, excellent for those seeking fresh, distinct scents. I don’t know of other flankers, but my dad wears the men’s version, and I’d say they do remind me of each other. Differences? The women’s version is a bit more floral and slightly fruity, but in both, calone stands out above the rest, making them similar. A man can wear it without any issues. It smells clean; some say it smells like cleaning products, which might be true, but I love wearing it. Very versatile, suitable for extreme heat or not, day or night. On my skin, the longevity is excellent—over 10 hours without problems. I highly recommend it, but don’t buy it blindly, even though the price is very affordable.

It’s exquisite, and nowadays, with vanilla and gourmand scents everywhere, it’s a breath of fresh air. The only downside is the bottle. I struggle to apply it because it’s hard to hold securely.

  • Cool Water Woman is a classic aquatic fragrance that puts fruit at the center, with calone as the star and lily of the valley reinforcing that marine base. Very youthful, with good projection, and a key reference point for many later perfumes.

  • It’s a standard aquatic EDT, typical of the 90s. It brings back memories of my cousin in the late 90s. The projection is moderate but lasts a long time on my skin. It opens with a ripe, astringent fruit (maybe pineapple with quince?), which quickly transitions to flowers and water. That lasts about half an hour, then only the calone remains. It’s good for hot days and seems unisex, but it lacks personality. It’s pleasant and a good buy for the price. Pleasant: 5/10 Interesting: 3/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 3/10

  • If it lasted longer, it would be wonderful. It makes me want to drape myself over my wife’s neck when she wears it. It’s rich, elegant, fresh, and refreshing. Wow, when I found out she used it years ago in her youth, I thought, ‘How does that smell?’ I searched for it, bought it, and gifted it to her… and it didn’t disappoint. It’s one of my favorite budget finds in her collection.

  • I have a funny story about this perfume. My mom gifted it to me in high school. I used it a couple of times because I didn’t have anything else, but I never liked it: melon, lily, and pineapple that lasted a breath. One day, I brought it close to the trash can to get rid of it, and my mom rescued it. She still has it in her closet and uses it from time to time. One day I asked why she liked Cool Water so much. She said she didn’t. I asked why she’d gifted it to me then. She said she didn’t remember gifting it to me. Stunned, I complained, ‘So why are you using it?’ She replied, ‘Well, who throws away a perfume in good condition, even if it smells bad?’ Anyway, it’s still there, despite my efforts.

I love it! I’ve been using it for years, and it’s on my daily rotation. I understand why some people smell cleaning products, but for me, the marine, aquatic, fresh, and clean notes stand out more. It makes me think of sailing. Even though it has fruits and flowers, nothing dominates; it’s very harmonious. I always keep a bottle at work, home, and in my bag because it works for any occasion. The trail is brutal, it lasts hours, and the price is excellent. A timeless classic that I hope never dies.
