  • Fantastic creation by Rasasi, very much in the style of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed; it’s true that it has a generic touch at first impression, but nothing to do with that. It’s a fresh, damp fern that makes you feel like you’re in a meadow breathing the cleanest air in the world. Versatile and for all four seasons, with a semi-formal vibe. Longevity and sillage are good for the fragrance family it belongs to. Unbeatable quality-to-price ratio.

  • What a pleasant surprise this perfume has been. For it to be from an Arab brand, it turns out to be the opposite of what one would expect. This is a fresh, clean, and green perfume very much in the line of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed. It starts a bit synthetic and alcoholic but quickly settles, and you start to clearly perceive the fir and juniper berries that give it that characteristic freshness. Later, the iris mixed with fir and ambergris is perceived, giving the scent a creamy touch without becoming heavy; in fact, the perfume feels fresh throughout its evolution thanks to the juniper berries and fir, which are present throughout the fragrance’s life. Longevity is very good on my skin, exceeding 8 hours. I find it ideal for spring and summer, a highly recommended alternative to GIT at a fraction of the price, and in my opinion superior to others of the style like Cool Water and Aspen; if you think those smell like Green Irish Tweed, I recommend you try Egra, as it’s very affordable and its resemblance is truly surprising.

  • I’ve come to the conclusion that classifying Cool Water as a genre is absurd. Basically, its genre is fern. An aquatic fern, if you will, but a fern with all the letters: green, fresh, and sparkling. It’s a logical evolution that started with Grey Flannel, which already used calone, and continued with Drakkar Noir, the true father of the creature. As an enthusiast of the scent since its creation, I’ve tried millions of clones across all categories, and the vast majority are characterized by sticking to the script set by Pierre Bourdon: they are all (or try to be) Cool Water. The only exceptions I’ve found are, curiously, a great Spanish cologne from the 90s, Trophy Yacht Man by Parera (which added some delicious spiced citrus to the equation), and, above all, Knize Forest (imagine an avant-garde Cool Water; soapy, greener, more complex, more… beautiful; and yes, infinitely superior to Creed’s Green Irish Tweed). It doesn’t seem that Cool Water has lost its ability to hold the public’s heart. It enjoys good sales health, regular flankers, a very competitive price, and a timeless, summery character that can’t seem outdated to anyone. It pleases and will continue to please because its aquatic twist rooted in classics places it in no-man’s-land, outside trends, creating trends. Well, now for the real deal: Rasasi’s Egra Men is a Cool Water clone. An excellent clone, if I may nuance it, that plays with a huge advantage over what’s currently on the market, and even perhaps against Davidoff’s current fragrance. It’s rougher, greener, also less delicate (everything must be said), and definitely with more body, longevity, and projection. Recently, thanks to Darkbeat, I was able to try Lataffa’s Raghba (Black Bottle), a new return to the Cool Water table. Lataffa’s was a nice cologne that smelled great and perfectly fulfilled what one expects from an average clone. But Egra Men is a beast. It’s a “want some tea? Then take two cups.” A Cool Water right on the face, so to speak. I don’t know if I’m explaining myself, but it gives more than expected from a clone. And Rasasi already seems to be an expert house in this kind of thing: just look at what they did with Hawas, a supposed clone of Invictus that manages to humiliate not only its copy but the trail of contemporaries (Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage) orbiting around it. If you don’t like Cool Water, Egra won’t be for you. If you like it, you might find it redundant to have it in your collection. And if you like it a lot, with Egra you have hard-core drugs for your own pleasure and delight. (From Jerry Drake’s treasure chest.)

  • If you like Cool Water, this is like the vintage version, though I’d say it has a better “aquatic” feel despite being greener and closer to GIT (the sillage has a certain magic that isn’t apparent when smelling it directly). For me, it’s a jewel, although for 2023 it seems they’ve reformulated it a bit because it doesn’t last as long as an eau de parfum should, although keep in mind, olfactory fatigue also plays its role (unfortunately, I arrived a bit late to know about it). On clothes, it lasts much longer, and I recommend applying it there to prolong longevity. Its scent is very mysterious and elegant, yet dynamic, something a prince would wear. It has a soapy finish that will make you feel freshly bathed for longer. Excellent scent quality for the price; I hope they don’t discontinue it, because it’s not leaving my shelf, and I’ve been testing it for a while to the point where I could almost make it my signature fragrance, if not for the performance, which is regular to poor on my skin. It’s not just a clone of GIT; it goes even further; I sense a somewhat romantic and exotic touch at times. Highly recommended to try! 💯

  • Looking for a good Green Irish Tweed dupe, I tried Tres Nuit, Coolwater, Le Parfait, and Amber Oud, but the truth is Egra by Rasasi was my favorite. It smells delicious, very green, and is very similar to the original. The performance is good, not best mode, but for the price it’s excellent. My wife is fascinated by it. If you want a GIT dupe, give it a chance, it’s worth it.

Looking for a GIT clone, I tried Tres Nuit, Coolwater, Le Parfait, and Amber Oud Carbon, but Rasasi’s Egra is the one that caught me. It smells delicious, very green, and resembles the original a lot. Decent performance, not a beast, but for the price, it’s a beast. My wife loves it. If you want a GIT clone, try it, it’s worth it.

  • I bought it by mistake and wanted to return it, but when it arrived I used it and it’s a spring-summer jewel. A happy mistake that fully fulfills its purpose for the price I paid. It lasts quite well on my skin, about 5 or 6 hours, and it’s exactly what I was looking for for this season.

  • I bought it by mistake and thought about returning it, but upon arrival, I used it, and it’s a spring-summer fragrance. A good “mistake,” I must say. For the price I paid, it fully fulfills its function. It lasts moderately well on me, about 5 or 6 hours.

Today I wore Egra by Rasasi, one of my favorites. Although I haven’t tried the original Green Irish Tweed by Creed, I have tried Tres Nuit and Coolwater, and Egra remains my queen. I don’t know its exact notes, but it smells green-blue, herbal, and balsamic, like myrtle, eucalyptus, or pine resin. At first it’s citrusy, then it turns green like an ointment, and as it dries, it gains that aquatic and ozonic part that you notice when inhaling. The quality is good, it doesn’t smell like cleaner nor does it make me sneeze. It suggests a quiet, sunny green meadow with a stream. By the way, the Zip-style cap is a functional disaster, too complicated for something simple, although the diffuser mists great. For 15 or 20 euros for 100ml, it’s a must for my collection.

If you’re new here, forget the technical sheets and listen to my experience: imagine a gentleman landing in Dubai with a Gutteridge blazer and Egra Men. Everyone stops to look. A tropical voice asks if it’s his first time, and he, with a seducer’s manual smile, replies that first you have to lay the foundation. She, with a curious look, adds that the perfume has already done its job. In that grand hall, the aroma creates clarity and awakens your best version. As the saying goes: it’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it. Egra Men is the ideal companion for that journey of trust and authenticity. Good luck, gentlemen!

  • diderotdenis

For those who read only the basics: my personal experience. Imagine this: a guy arrives in Dubai wearing a Gutteridge blazer and notes of Egra Men. People look at him strangely, but a girl with a tropical accent tells him it won’t be his last visit. He smiles, says you have to lay the groundwork first, and that he’s already achieved the most important thing: the perfume. She gives him a look that says, ‘I know the rest will come easy.’ In the end, in the middle of the party, the magic of the perfume gives you clarity and makes you feel authentic. Confidence and style; Egra Men is the perfect companion for that journey.

One of the few Arabic perfumes I’ve tried that are worth it for me. Very similar to GIT or CW, the opening is a bit chaotic but after two minutes it starts to dry down, turning green, ozonic, with a very slight aquatic touch. For 15 euros, this is a masterpiece to spray without fear.

Gentlemen, this is a marvel. Rasasi has done it again. It’s a 95% clone of Green Irish Tweed.

Don’t get fooled; they say it smells like Cool Water, but it doesn’t even look like it. I think people just follow the crowd to sound knowledgeable. Some claim it’s like walking through Ireland’s green fields, but it’s more like getting dumped with a bucket of dirty dishes from a dive pub on the outskirts. It smells like a scrub bucket, cheap, nothing like Cool Water. I’ve been lied to by these reviews; it’s a shame of a cologne.

  • Pueblerino

Don’t get fooled; they say it’s like Cool Water, but it’s absolutely nothing like it. I think people catch what others say and to act knowledgeable, they repeat the same things. Someone says it’s like walking through green fields in Ireland, but it’s more like having a bucket of scrubbing water from an Irish pub in some suburb dumped on you. Strong smell of scrubbing bucket, cheap smell, nothing like Cool Water. These reviews here lied to me, it’s a disgrace of a cologne.

  • Perecioso

What’s that saying? Something like ‘whoever hasn’t known God prays to any saint.’ This perfume outshines CW by 100. They are very similar, but here there isn’t that ton of sweetness that Davidoff has. Just for that, it’s muuuuch better clone or inspiration of GIT.

  • Total disappointment. I’ll let it mature in hopes it improves, but after reading reviews, I decided to buy it. I’ve tried six Arabic perfumes, and this is the worst. You buy Arabic perfume for quality, not synthetic scents at a low price with good longevity and projection, and this lacks all of that. It smells nice but is imperceptible, irrelevant, and insignificant; no one will smell it, not even yourself, only right after applying it and stuck to the skin. Total disappointment, scent is skin-only, lasts less than 5 hours. It’s acceptable, not delicious as advertised, smells like old colognes from our parents: wood, herbs, leaves, very masculine but generic. I repeat, I’ll let it macerate; I used it for two days and even though I applied it multiple times, it doesn’t project much. Batch January 2024, bought on Amazon from the most popular seller.

  • A disappointment. I clarify that I’ll have to let it mature so I don’t remain disappointed. After reading all the comments, I decided to buy it. I’ve used 6 Arab perfumes, and this is the worst. One buys Arab for quality, synthetic scent, low price, good longevity, and great projection, and this has none of that. The scent is rich but so imperceptible, so irrelevant that no one will smell it, not even yourself; you only feel it when you apply it and right against the skin. A total disappointment, scent right at the skin, less than 5 hours of longevity. The scent is acceptable, not delicious as advertised; it smells like those old wood, herb, and leaf men’s colognes, but a very generic smell. I repeat, I’ll let it macerate because I’ve used it for 2 days, and even though I apply it multiple times, it doesn’t smell much. Batch January 2024, bought on Amazon from the most popular seller.
