This 2014 flanker is basically the original Cool Water with a stronger citrus twist. It has more mint than usual, making it fresher and sparklier. It feels more modern, moving away from the classic nineties concept and fitting better with today’s times. I’m hit with a pleasant freshness the moment I spray it; it feels energetic and invigorating (perfect to get you going in summer). Longevity is acceptable, around 6 to 7 hours depending on sprays; projection is noticeable in the office or outdoors for the first two hours, then fades but remains detectable. Conclusion: If you like Cool Water, give it a try; it won’t disappoint.
It’s a much softer version of Cool Water with subtle citrus added, keeping some of the eighties and early nineties notes intact. It adapts perfectly to extreme heat without being intrusive. It works great at work because it’s clean and crisp (ideal for small offices), allowing for reapplication throughout the day. Projection and longevity are modest compared to the original, losing that powerful trail of the groundbreaking perfumes of the past. PROS: Affordable price, highly versatile in formal situations, perfect as a soft sport fragrance, ideal for heat. CONS: Low projection and longevity, limited edition (almost discontinued), needs reapplication for long days. My rating: 6/10.
