Davidoff Cool Water Night Dive is a woody aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, this composition features marine, fruity, and minty top notes with juniper resin. The heart reveals tobacco, cashmere, black pepper, and sage, while the base settles on amber, woody notes, suede, and musk. The creation is signed by the perfumer who brought this nocturnal interpretation of the Cool Water collection to life.

  • Smells great, good sillage and longevity. Suitable for both summer and winter. Fresh and warm at the same time. My next purchase soon.

  • When I first tried this fragrance, I really liked it; it has a striking and fresh opening, and the heart is excellent—it reminded me a lot of Chanel’s Egoiste Platinum (not the same, but very similar). It’s a slightly more modern version, if you will, less intense than the Egoiste Platinum and a bit fruitier. Honestly, Night Dive is great; I liked it from the first moment. The scent starts fresh, powdery, fruity, sweet, and its longevity is average, normal; you can smell it softly for several hours. It’s for everyday wear, not necessarily just for night. A very good, captivating, and versatile fragrance. Many thanks, greetings.

Very good fragrance, fresh and striking, perfect for wearing anywhere at night. The first seven hours are very noticeable, then it softens and fades slowly, so you still detect it. By the 12-hour mark, it’s gone. Great value for the price and quality.

Cool Water Night Dive, I liked it; it’s a good version of the original Cool Water, a fragrance that is both sweet and fresh, undeniably masculine. Even though its name suggests it’s for night, I see many characteristics that make it suitable for daytime wear, as its amber and spicy notes aren’t too warm. One note I detect is lavender, though it’s not listed. Anyway, it’s a fragrance that modernizes the classic Cool Water. Its longevity reached 8 hours, which is average. The price is accessible, making it an excellent option compared to other aquatic fragrances with fewer features.

I liked Cool Water Night Dive; it’s a good version of the original. It’s sweet and fresh at the same time, undeniably masculine. Although it’s named for night, I see many daytime characteristics, as its amber and spicy notes aren’t that warm. I detect lavender, even though it’s not listed. It’s a fragrance that modernizes the classic. Its longevity reached 8 hours, average. Its price is accessible, making it an excellent option compared to other aquatic fragrances with fewer features.

I love it; it smells different from the original Cool Water where mint dominated. Here, they replace that note with pistachio and tobacco, very striking and less piercing. Although it’s called Night, I get the feeling of night, but between 6 and 9 PM, not for a party. It’s for strolling along a waterfront with a nocturnal marine aroma, full of peace and introspection, or for a relaxed urban vibe. A good distant relative of Classic Cool Water.

  • Fresh, aquatic, and fruity but masculine. I recommend over-applying! That way, it unleashes all its virtues. It’s exquisite, particular, not intrusive but with presence. Normal application: during the day or for weekday evening moments if you want something soft after a shower before bed. It’s good to have in the collection; nothing like the original Cool Water.

  • It’s an improved version of traditional Cool Water, much fresher with a vintage fruity touch. It suits any weather, gives me energy, has a moderate trail, and very good longevity (around 6-8 hours). Well done, Davidoff!

  • Very rich aroma, I’ve had it for about 20 days, bought blind, and I don’t regret it at all; it doesn’t resemble the original Cool Water at all, I perceive it as sweeter and more fruity-floral. I detect a touch of feminine fragrance, and I also sense some notes similar to those in Fahrenheit 32 (I haven’t confirmed this), just noting that it reminds me of it, not that it’s similar. At least as far as I’ve tried, this Night Dive doesn’t resemble any other perfume, although at times it has a somewhat generic aroma. I recommend it for heavy summer nights, as a complement to the original Cool Water if you use the original during the day. I really like it; if I had to choose between this and the original, I still prefer the original. Like the original, its price-to-quality ratio is one of its strong points. Its sillage is moderate, and its longevity is decent. It’s just a matter of trying it and letting your senses decide; I believe the female group will prefer this over the original.

  • Very rich aroma, I’ve had it for 20 days and have no regrets. It doesn’t resemble the original Cool Water; I find it sweeter and fruitier-floral. I detect something feminine and notes reminiscent of Fahrenheit 32, even though it’s not similar. It’s unique, though sometimes it sounds generic. I recommend it for summer nights or as a complement to the original. I like it a lot, but if I have to choose, I prefer the original. Its value for money is a strong point, moderate trail, and decent longevity. Give it a try!

  • It’s impossible not to like this; it smells like delight on a beach daybed with a piña colada. I imagine a craft market nearby, with tropical fruits, herbs, mint, bulk tobacco, and cured leather. I loved it, and its longevity is very good. I liked it more than the original Cool Water; it gave what was missing: character and better staying power.

At first, it seemed fresh, but in my opinion, it’s very sweet and gets nose-tiring. You have to be careful with the sprays because it’s quite dense. I’d use it at night; although they say it’s for summer, given its heavy trail, I’d wear it more in winter.

  • I really found it to be a fresh but very sweet fragrance (to my taste), and tiring for the nose… you have to be careful with how many sprays you apply because it’s “very dense.” I would wear it at night, and while they say it’s for summer, I would use it more in winter due to its heavy sillage.

  • Daniel Izzo

The scent is rich and fresh, but on my skin it fades very quickly. To my nose, it smells like fresh mint with a sweet and spicy hint—a brief fruity opening followed by a marine and musky base that blend beautifully. Nice fragrance, casual and fresh, though its performance is moderate to poor. Cheers everyone!

I have a few sprays left from the same batch L3 1545396586 and the opening is brutal. In this heat, it easily lasts 6 hours. It has a slight sweet touch, but the projection and longevity are top-notch.

  • Erick_peraza

I have a batch L3 1545396586 that has been a lifesaver here in El Salvador, with those insane 32-degree heat. It lasts about 7 hours, projects well, and leaves a decent trail. I’ve gotten so many compliments. I don’t know if they reformulated it, but this batch on my skin has been incredible.

  • This fragrance is aquatic/ambery, a bit fruity in the opening; it reminds us once again of our friend (Invictus). It could seem generic at first impression, but after 20 minutes, a slightly amber suede note takes the spotlight with a hint of tobacco in the background. From there, it takes a different direction, with more body and warmth. It’s a moderate/soft fragrance, but it stands out very well in winter; it’s seductive, slightly sweet, and the suede makes it very pleasant. If you’re looking for an extremely differentiated, special, and/or super potent fragrance, this isn’t the one, but if you’re looking for something pleasant to gift or for casual daily use, this is a great choice.

  • It’s aquatic/ambery, a bit fruity in the opening reminiscent of Invictus. It could seem generic at first, but after 20 minutes, suede slightly ambered with a tobacco base takes the lead. That’s when it changes direction, gains body and warmth. It’s moderate/soft but stands out in winter; it’s seductive and slightly sweet; the suede makes it very pleasant. If you’re looking for something super distinct, special, or potent, this isn’t for you, but if you want something pleasant for gifting or casual daily use, it works very well.

The opening notes (mint, pistachio, fruits) would have convinced me before even trying it. I used it a long time ago and it’s one of my favorites. A sweet fragrance that doesn’t cloy because it’s fresh. Ideal for summer nights. The trail isn’t very large and longevity is normal; I see it more for personal enjoyment. Cheers.

  • Very_gentleman

I bought it in autumn and used it until winter. Fruity and sweet, works well in the office. Strong performance of 7 to 13 hours projecting about 4 hours; if you want it all day, overapply. The original Cool is rougher; this one is perfect for night, sweet, and warm. It’s very different from Cool Water; it’s another perfume. Price $35 USD, buy it blind if you’re a fruit lover; you must have it. It’s one of my favorites along with Invictus Legend.

  • Those opening notes would have convinced me even before trying it: mint, pistachio, fruits… However, I tried it a while ago, and I must say it’s one of my favorite perfumes. A sweet fragrance that doesn’t cloy because it’s also fresh. Ideal for summer nights. The sillage isn’t very large, and its longevity is normal; I see it more as something to enjoy for oneself. Greetings.

Davidoff Cool Water Night Dive 🌊🍋🪵. Night Dive is very different from the pioneer. Is it mentholated? Yes, but not the star like in the original Cool Water. The protagonist is an ultra-pleasant fruity nuance with a refreshing aquatic vibe. Although it has wood, pepper, and tobacco notes, it doesn’t smell old-school but incredibly youthful. Attractive, versatile, and an excellent casual option for warm days.

Cool Water Night Dive by the Swiss brand Davidoff. Dive Night is very different from its pioneer. Is it mentholated? Yes, but it’s not the star note; like the mother Cool Water. The protagonist is an ultra-pleasant fruity nuance sprinkled with a refreshing aquatic vibe. Although Dive has notes of wood, pepper, and tobacco, surprisingly it doesn’t feel old-school but rather enormously youthful. Attractive, versatile, and an excellent option to wear casually on warm days.

  • I loved it just from smelling it. Ideal for summer and spring nights, though also works during the day. It doesn’t grab attention, but up close, people like it a lot. Its downside is the low longevity and that it’s not a beast mode that turns heads. Totally recommended to buy.

I bought it again after several years. The first time I had it near launch and loved it. Now it’s hard to find; I hadn’t seen it in Argentina for a while until it reappeared. The moment I sprayed it, I felt something strong and synthetic, but only for the first minute. Once it settled on my skin, it turned creamy, woody, and sweet. Overall, it’s fresh, marine, fruity, and woody. It generates calm, comfort, and relaxation. The ‘Night on the Sea’ concept is well represented. The bottle has a classic design with gradient blue glass and silver letters like the moon. Performance: sillage isn’t very wide, but it lasts 6 hours on skin and days on clothes (it used to last less on clothes before). Ideal use: warm and temperate climates, evening/night, though not bad during the day if it’s not oppressively hot. If you like sweet, fresh, and comfortable fragrances, try Night Dive. If you test it, don’t leave after the first spray… wait a few minutes and you’ll see the magic. P.S.: It has the vibe of Swiss Army Mountain Water and Kenzo Homme Night (two that I also love).

  • We didn’t quite click. I use it for night outings because it starts spicy and lasts a few hours, then it fades. It lingers on clothes and seems more pleasant there. It’s a matter of skin chemistry, I think.

  • Fresh and fruity. The mint and pistachio blend is interesting, feeling present without being harsh. It should be called Sunset Rest. I’d wear it to watch a summer sunset, pink sky, on a couch with a drink in hand. When it dries down (2-3 hours), it smells like Eros EDT but more timid and with Cool Water original-style mint. Not suitable for going out at night or long-lasting. Only for enjoying it for a couple of hours. Recommended if you find it cheap. EDIT 2025: not worth it 4/10.

  • A beast for winter. Can be used on a summer evening, but better by the coast where it’s cooler. Haven’t seen it in Chile; maybe it’s discontinued, which would be a shame. It’s an incense-woody scent with mint that doesn’t refresh but warms, like that mint leaf in tea; that’s why it’s barely noticeable, as the warm notes envelop it. Great scent and projection. Longevity is about 5 hours.

  • Another entry in the Cool Water saga, this one is Night Dive. Herbal-marine scent; the mint and aquatic touches from the original give an instant sense of cleanliness. I didn’t detect any pistachio. Moderate projection for about two hours, then it lingers on the skin for another four hours before fading. Midway through, pepper appears, followed by wood. Very affordable price in Argentina with the same performance as its siblings (4 hours). Pleasant, sparkling, and masculine, but it fails on longevity for evening wear; it doesn’t live up to its name. Ideal for mornings or autumn/spring afternoons. You’ll get compliments, but no more. Fresh, masculine, and moderate projection for intermediate seasons at a good price. Cheers.
