Looking for something fresh for the heat but not your typical citrus? This is my summer favorite and I fell in love with it instantly. It’s super simple: bergamot, osmanthus, and musk, nothing more. The bergamot fades quickly, leaving a blend of musk and olive that smells like an incredibly rich, balsamic olive milk soap. It reminds me of the olive milk shower gels my mother used from Le Petit Marseillais. It’s delicate and Mediterranean. Maybe it doesn’t last as long or have a strong trail because it’s so subtle, but that makes it perfect for hot days without overwhelming your senses. The trail is very faint and lasts about 4 to 5 hours, sticking close to the skin, but I love it because it makes layering so easy. I think this simple perfume has been overlooked and deserves a chance, especially if you enjoy powdery or soapy scents.
