I love this lotion! It has a sweet aroma at first, and you can perceive the ginger note, but as time passes, you get that leather scent with a sweet touch, which personally finds me extremely attractive. I highly recommend it.

I applied it as soon as I saw it because I was waiting for it to arrive in Spain after seeing the article on this platform; I had major FOMO since it has my three favorite notes. It feels like a sweet ginger with a non-abrasive leather base in the dry-down. Even though it doesn’t propose anything new, it smells great—it’s one of those fragrances made to please everyone. I give it a 7.5/10; maybe I’ll buy it.

It feels like a sweet ginger with a non-abrasive leather base in the dry down. Even though it doesn’t propose anything new, it smells very good. It’s one of those fragrances made to please everyone. This perfume has no citrus whatsoever, just pure leather and ginger. Ideal for night days or autumn days.

  • Tested with a brand sample. Very generic aroma; it’s not bad but it says nothing. It has some body and sweetness, giving a slightly amber impression… I don’t detect the leather. What I do feel is the base of Bottled, always there, but with a slight modern, sparkling twist from the ginger. Maybe that’s why it feels generic—it reminds me of the original and becomes too familiar. Extremely versatile, unless in very formal situations it could work as a signature for any season. The first two hours are noticeable, then it leaves a trail, but projection is zero. The problem is always the same: being good at everything means being an expert at nothing. For now, I’m not considering buying it.

  • Incredibly generic; I’m struggling to find the appeal. It doesn’t disgust me, but I don’t love it either :/ I don’t think it’s worth the price at all. It’s an office-worker fragrance—clean and common. After the recent Boss launches that were quite good and purposeful, this one leaves several rungs below.

  • Tested with two dry sprays. As soon as I put it on, I thought it smelled like insecticide. The ginger mentioned in the top notes is strong, piercing, and very synthetic—I didn’t like it. As it dries, it changes and changes for the better. It becomes creamy, cozy, and takes on a vintage tone. It reminds me of scents I smelled in my childhood, but in adults. I see it as very versatile for a signature scent.

  • Generic but wearable, with an easy-to-wear leather note. It stands out for its soapy, fresh touch. It has a nuance that recalls Ganymede, though they’re far from resembling each other. It’s more similar to Castley by PdM, but does it better and at a much more affordable price. It evokes feelings similar to Bold Citrus: I like it, but I’m not sure if I really want it. For now, the scale tips to ‘no’. I’ll keep testing it.

  • The worst perfume thing ever: simple, generic, without grace or any spark. Basically, a typical perfume you could buy at a flea market for 5€, and I won’t even bother writing what it smells like.

  • Another flanker in the Bottled line. A boring, insanely generic, simplistic, and mass-appeal composition. Bruno Jovanovic is behind Prada Paradigme too. Not much more to say. Commercial perfumery is already buried. Here, the leather is imaginary. It smells good, but not better than a scented shower gel. Look how much Absolu and Elixir proposed, but this has taken a turn toward total trend drift. Skip it.

  • Smells like the brand-name deodorants I used as a kid, like Adidas or Nike. Lasting power is identical. I got this as a decant and ended up tossing it. If you’re looking for something decent for the gym or casual days, it’s fine, but nothing more. If you believe it’s a €20 perfume, then it’s perfect for you.

  • I liked it at first; the ginger is noticeable and it feels like they’re trying something new… But that sensation doesn’t last, and gradually the DNA of the original Boss Bottled emerges. The leather does come through, but it lacks personality—it smells very generic and trendy. People will compliment it because it’s pleasant, but it’s just another one; nothing differentiating or with character.

  • This morning I went to Sears and sprayed two on my left wrist. The opening felt citrusy, even a bit ‘generic’, as some people say to refer to ‘common’ scents; however, as minutes passed, I realized it resembles Herrera for Men from 1991 very closely, just not as pronounced on that tobacco note, and with a modern touch. Honestly, it could be a good alternative to that aroma, although its new batches don’t last more than a sigh.

  • I tested it this morning; in my opinion, it’s not worth it at all, and here’s why. Hugo Boss has tried to carve out niche territory by combining it with classic Boss Bottled. Personally, it literally smells like a layering of MAB’s Ganymede and Hugo Boss’s Bottled, which provides the sweetness, since Ganymede is drier. It’s okay, but if you’re looking for something like Ganymede, Zara has several focused on that line that are cheaper, and if you want the Boss Bottled, it’s cheaper than this. I don’t know, it doesn’t seem like a very clever invention to me.

  • Boss Bottled Beyond is a woody and spicy fragrance. The opening feels a bit citrusy, but mostly spicy with a ginger note as the protagonist. That ginger note is perceived for a long time during the development of the fragrance; in fact, I think it’s present from start to finish, but over time, some woody accords of cedar and other spices also become noticeable, and so on until the end of the fragrance’s development. This fragrance is versatile, mainly for spring and autumn, for office work, outings with friends, family dinners, etc. It can be used both day and night. Its longevity has been regular, lasting between 7 to 8 hours on me, with regular sillage. In recent years, the Boss Bottled line has been making very interesting and, in a way, ‘original’ launches, but with this version, they fell a bit short, at least in my perception; however, the scent is pleasant, and I invite you to try it and decide if you like it or not.

  • I tried it yesterday and, honestly, I loved it. And yes, I’m going to say something that might annoy the ‘purists’: not every perfume has to reinvent the wheel to work. Boss Bottled Beyond isn’t innovative, it’s not revolutionary, and it’s not here to break molds. It’s a clean leather, very soft, with nothing animalic, accompanied by a fresh, soapy woody vibe. It smells exactly like that: an expensive, neat, pleasant, straightforward bar of soap. And that’s where its charm lies. I understand many won’t like that simplicity, but I also think we exaggerate the drama around fragrances that simply aim to be reliable and pleasant. Not all of them need to aspire to be niche or have a philosophical concept behind them. Some just want to accompany you well, project cleanliness, and function in real life. As a collector, I’m not a purist. If a simple fragrance is well-made, smells good, and delivers, it deserves recognition. And this one, for me, delivers. It’s one of those that will almost certainly get you compliments because it goes straight for the general taste: clean, masculine, easy to wear. Is it the most original of the year? No. Is it a ‘scam’? Neither. It’s simply a good mainstream perfume that does what it promises: smell good. Sometimes it seems like critics forget that perfumery is also meant to be enjoyed without so much pretension.

Three perfumers to make this? It’s a complete scam. I don’t want to belittle the catalog perfumes, but it smells like the nature line for men, for sure. Boss Bottled did everything right this year with Bold Citrus and faded with this one. Boss, it’s not mandatory to drop a flanker every six months.

  • Ultra, archi, mega generic. Smells good but I don’t feel anything special about it. It’s masculine, yes, but without any personality. And that disgusting advertising I see everywhere gives me more cringe and aversion than a desire to try it. I tested it at a promotional event and that’s when I understood why the aggressive advertising exists. This plays between youthful and not-so-youthful. It seems like the boring guy in the group who wants to be fun and fit in, but no one really likes him much, yet he pretends to (although in essence he always avoids it). This perfume is something similar. It smells good, yes, it pretends to be elegant and somewhat niche, but no, it doesn’t have charm, it doesn’t impact, just a spark of what they pretended to be (since generally you wouldn’t spend money on this when there are better options). It might be interesting for someone tired of sugary fragrances looking for something more ‘fresh’ and boring/monotonous, and could be a good option for them. This seems like a 90s perfume with a touch of modernity. For 45 and up. They probably thought they were making a new Acqua di Gio, but it ends up being that character who was once famous and respected but is now a joke without humor and even pitiful. I wouldn’t be surprised if they delist it soon.

Three perfumers to do this? It’s a complete scam. I don’t want to diminish the catalog perfumes, but it smells like the Natura line’s Homme perfume, surely. Boss Bottled did everything right this year with Bold Citrus, but it faded with this one. Boss, it’s not mandatory to release a flanker every six months.

  • Generic, sure, but it’s what people who aren’t deep into this are looking for. I tested the perfume at a booth yesterday; while it doesn’t invent anything new, it smells very good. I just wish I could see people trying several from the Bottled line, including the Elixir and Absolu, which are brutal in my opinion, but they’d make faces like ‘what is this?’. Friends, they’re not for everyone. In contrast, when they tried this new Beyond, they’d say ‘this smells delicious’. It’s designed to sell like hotcakes during this Christmas campaign with good marketing. As I said, it smells good for what it is: an office daily perfume that won’t offend anyone. Performance is normal, didn’t seem like much, but I’ll do more testing. By the way, I don’t see any resemblance to its siblings in my view.

  • Tested on the insistence of the promoter. Pleasant fragrance, citrusy, spicy, and fresh at the start with the typical green apple from the original, even though it’s not declared. The ginger is interesting. Later, the leather gives it a bit of body and refinement. It surpasses the original because it’s a bit rounder and more modern. Nothing more.

  • Ultra archi mega generic. Smells good but I feel nothing special about it. It’s masculine, yes, but without personality. And that disgusting advertising I see everywhere makes me cringe and feel aversion rather than wanting to try it. I tested it with a promoter and that’s when I understood why the aggressive marketing exists. This plays between cheerful and not-so-cheerful. It’s like the boring guy in the group trying to be fun and fit in, but no one really likes him, yet he pretends to (though in essence, he always avoids it). This perfume is similar. • albisdrummer

A perfume that doesn’t reinvent the wheel, separating itself from the latest editions of the Bottled line, which were spectacular. It’s a mix between an Azzaro The Most Wanted and Cool Water; that’s what it reminded me of. A sharp, salty opening, you can feel the ginger, but in the dry down it has a sweet, ambered, slightly woody part, feeling more like a creamy sandalwood. Designed to be sold like crazy during Christmas in drugstores. Intermediate performance, nothing like the notes listed here. Goes well for daily wear and the bottle is very nice.

  • albisdrummer

Don’t reinvent the wheel; it diverges from the previous Bottled editions, which were beastly. Reminds me of Azzaro The Most Wanted mixed with Cool Water. It has a spicy, salty opening where ginger is noticeable, but as it dries down, it turns sweet and ambered with a creamy sandalwood and woody touch. They sold it like crazy for Christmas in the free shops. Performance is average, nothing like what the notes claim. Ideal for daily wear, and the bottle is gorgeous.

  • arthemispower

I’m not much of a leather fan, but I tried the sample and fell in love. It smells serious yet attractive, a scent that exudes maturity—the kind that young people like too. I think it’s suitable for any age, for personality and presence, something serious but not at the level of Tom Ford. I’ll use it more and let you know. For me, it rates very low; I don’t know, a perfume shouldn’t invent anything; it should just please and be consistent. Hugo Boss and Montblanc Rare disappoint me, it’s not Mugler or niche, but it pleases, smells good, is elegant, and has good performance.

  • LeandroTucci

I bought it because of my love for leather perfumes, and this is the versatile or summer version. At first sniff, I didn’t detect the leather, just the citrus, which for me isn’t ginger as they say. With wear, I started to notice a wearable leather. It’s not generic. Longevity and trail are excellent. It will work, for sure.

  • Hocicosensible

Delicious, smells amazing. Citrus at first, then turns into clean, creamy, super pleasant leather. Very versatile. If you want an all-around perfume, this is a fantastic option. Longevity is very good (8-10 hours). Projection is moderate, but you can feel it for about 4 hours without being overwhelming. It doesn’t project meters away. In short, it smells great and as a signature, it’s top-notch.

  • I must admit my ignorance in this complex field. My knowledge boils down to ‘I like it’ or ‘I wouldn’t wear it out.’ That said, this Boss has some consistency. At first, it might seem a bit sweet, but afterward, it develops a solid, consistent body (is it the leather? I have no idea), but not rough, very pleasant, and with a certain elegance. If you’re looking to evoke astral travels, a sea of weeds, or a Siberian forest… well, this Boss isn’t designed for that. These are the ones who, like in wine, detect infinite nuances and can’t give even one in a blind tasting. Anyway, for me, ‘I liked it’.

  • My new shared signature with Absolu. An elegant, masculine, intoxicating, and very versatile fragrance. The classic scent that people love and leave a mark with. I love it. Lasts 8 hours on skin and lingers inside the closet on clothes for days.

  • Super generic and expensive perfume, projects nothing, leaves no trail, and its longevity is extremely poor. It doesn’t smell bad, but for its price, I don’t consider it worth it.

  • Hugo Boss set the bar too high with recent elixirs. In contrast, Beyond is a good exercise as a daily, easy-to-wear fragrance. Suitable for all four seasons and general tastes. Fresh but consistent, pleasant, polished, urban, with performance designed for the office and casual outings; it’s relaxed but shows good manners. A very balanced fragrance: neither too youthful nor too formal. The ‘generic’ part. Well. It seems that anything that smells clean and good, without more, is considered vulgar. There, we’re mistaken. This isn’t generic; in fact, it reminds me of some niche perfumes. Gentlemen, hyper-criticism must be measured. I don’t always need my perfume to tell me a story or evoke a certain environment, although, as an enthusiast, I obviously prefer it for simple artistic delight. Beyond is made to please everyone in daily life. And it pleases a lot, it works, there’s no need to overthink it. It’s a good option that doesn’t deserve so much criticism.

  • Hugo Boss set the bar very high with their recent elixirs. Beyond, on the other hand, is a great everyday option. Fresh, consistent, pleasant, and polished, with performance tailored for the office and casual outings. It’s carefree yet sophisticated. Very balanced: neither too youthful nor too formal. As for it being generic… well, it seems like anything that smells clean and good is considered vulgar; we’re wrong here. This isn’t generic; in fact, it reminds me of niche perfumes. Gentlemen, hyper-criticism needs to be measured. I don’t always need my perfume to tell a story, though as a fan, I prefer it for simple pleasure. Beyond is made to please everyone in daily life. And it does please, it works, no need to overthink it. It’s a good option that doesn’t deserve so much criticism.

  • A super generic and overpriced perfume that projects nothing and leaves no trail. Longevity is terrible. It doesn’t smell bad, but for the price, I don’t think it’s worth it.

  • Nicolasagarrayua

For those who want to smell special and can’t stand it when nothing sticks to them, even if they don’t like it themselves. This is easy, rich, and long-lasting; you’ll definitely get compliments, and it’s a joy to wear.

  • Gonzaparfums

A distinct and hard-to-find scent. It opens with citrus leather, an animal touch that gradually gives way to vanilla for the perfect finish. Longevity and projection are average—neither more nor less—ideal as a signature scent (depending on your office environment). Perfect if you’re looking for something citrusy but serious.
