I bought it just to try it without any bias and I liked it. It lasts well, smells pleasant without being overwhelming. For around 20€, it’s a great deal. On my skin, it lasts 6-8 hours and a bit longer on clothes. It’s like a fresher version of Scandal EDT. Recommended if you’re young or feel like it and want something sweet without going full gourmand.

  • Bought it to try without any bias and I liked it. It lasts well, smells like something that doesn’t kill you but smells good. All for about 20€. On my skin, it lasts 6-8 hours and a bit longer on clothes. It’s a fresher take on Scandal EDT. Recommended buy if you’re young or feel that way and want something sweet without going full gourmand.

I think it’s the most feminine one in the collection. Poor longevity and sillage. If you’re looking for caramel, go for The Only One by D&G or Lush’s ‘The Times Roll’.

  • This collection has a serious issue… many people love it, while others can’t smell it at all… defective batches? Molecules that some people catch and others don’t? Something weird is going on.

  • I see it as more unisex-feminine and casual, aimed at girls under 25. It lasts about 4-5 hours and isn’t really a summer scent. Yes, as the name suggests, it’s a sugary caramel scent that will feel outdated for anyone over 30.

Smells rich and very sweet, but it goes so overboard that it becomes cloying. I’d save this for cold days and night. It’s totally unisex.

  • It smells rich and very sweet, but it gets too much and ends up being cloying. I’d reserve it for cold days and evening wear. Totally unisex.

  • Nailed it! Bought it blind and it didn’t disappoint. It smells nothing like the ones listed above, though it has a bit of that Penhaligon’s scent I own. I’ll review it later, but at 22.95, it’s an absolute steal for the quality and price. At least it lasts longer than Sand Desert Sunset, which evaporates in 15 minutes and projects like a mosquito’s breath 😅. The trail is wide and moderate. I don’t know the total longevity yet, but it smells like sweet citrus mixed with spices, ginger, and davana (a fruity air). The dry down is gourmand and delicious 💕. Very happy with it; it doesn’t seem like a copy of anything I own.

  • @JoseLM Name names, man, haha. Carlos Rubio is a pro; if making a sad video can already hurt someone… ugh, sounds like suspicion. In my case, even without thanks to Carlos Rubio, I fell for this gourmand scent, and wow, it has a spell… it’s super addictive.

Not even a little bit of caramel, nor enchanting. It’s curious because it’s one of Zara’s strongest fragrances, but on my skin I don’t detect any sweet notes at all. It simply develops a smell like burning candle wax. It’s a shame because it lasts 6-7 hours, just like Bvlgari Man In Black: they don’t develop well, and I end up smelling like wax. As an anecdote, on another visit I tried it again at the gym; a single spray radiated my ‘candle wax’ scent, it held up against my sweat, flooded the entire gym, and even after my shower, I could still smell it. Great performance for the price, but terrible luck on my part with this fragrance.

Not a hint of caramel, or anything enchanting. It’s curious because it’s one of Zara’s most potent fragrances, but on my skin, I detect zero sweetness; it smells like a candle, like burning melted wax. What a pity, since it lasts 6-7 hours, just like Bvlgari Man In Black: it doesn’t develop, and I end up smelling like a candle. Side note: I tried it again at Zara and went to the gym; with a single drop, it radiated that cheerful-less candle smell, held up against my sweat, flooded the whole place, and even after showering, it was still there. Good performance for the price, but just very bad luck on my part with this fragrance.

  • @Fak3r I saw Carlos’s video. On my next visit to Zara, I tried Spell Caramel and didn’t like it at all, so I ended up buying Sand Desert at Sunset instead, which smells excellent. I loved it so much that a week later I bought a backup bottle and decided to give Spell Caramel another chance. I sprayed it, walked out of the store, and on the way home the Spell notes hit me; I almost turned back to buy it. I liked it so much. Today I went to the store to buy it; I already own Spell Caramel and it smells delicious. I think the tester I smelled the first time must have been defective, as I clearly remember how much I disliked it then and the difference when smelling it again on a different tester. Reading other reviews, I’m starting to think some batches of testers came out flawed; that’s the only explanation I can come up with.

  • Testing new releases at Zara, I went straight for the EDPs and this was the one that caught my eye, but after a few minutes it started bothering me. Maybe because it doesn’t evolve and stays strong, becoming overwhelming. To me, it’s pure caramel, very cloying. It reminds me of the caramel in Ultra Male, which is the same as in 9PM; I consider 9PM to have better performance because it’s sweet but not overpowering.

  • Von Bourbon

One of Zara’s most interesting scents because it breaks away from their usual notes. The ginger-herbal-caramel blend, while still retaining that synthetic house feel, makes me want to embrace my nerdy perfumer side after a gym session. Not for formal occasions and a bit overpriced; you can find similar ones at Mercadona for less than half the cost. Worth picking up on sale as a treat; you’ll be glad you did.

I grabbed this as a budget alternative to Scandal EDT for men, looking for that blood orange citrus opening with a caramel undertone, and honestly, I love it. The balance between ginger, orange, and caramel is spectacular; I’m not giving a damn about the scent. The price for what it offers is fantastic, though my only gripe is the longevity and projection: after 6-8 sprays, it’s already gone from my skin in 30 minutes. The smell makes up for its flaws, but it might not be the same for others regarding how long it lasts.

  • Kingbreadd

I bought it thinking it was an affordable Scandal EDT Pour Homme alternative. It has that blood orange citrus top and caramel base I was looking for. I loved the balance between ginger, orange, and caramel; I never get tired of the smell. The price is fantastic, though longevity and projection are weak: after 6-8 sprays, it’s gone from my skin in 30 minutes. The scent makes up for the flaws, but others might not have the same experience with the longevity.

  • Spicy and sweet all at once. True, it smells like alcohol at first, but that disappears quickly to reveal the true scent. I wear it daily during these transitional seasons.

  • It’s a perfume that mixes spicy with sweet. At first, it smells like strong alcohol, but that passes quickly and leaves the real scent. I wear it every day now with this in-between season weather.

  • Darío Zorrilla

Opens quite spicy and sweet; for me, the dry down feels like pure Erba but warmer with a hint of spice.

  • Zara’s best perfume, it gets very close to niche scents even though the longevity isn’t quite up to the big brands. It’s a masterpiece by Jordi Fernández: sweet, semi-gourmand, dusty, elegant, and with a vintage vibe. It features a smoky accord, fresh tobacco leaf, liquor tints, and dusty vanilla, with a citrus and spicy opening. Try it on your skin first; at first, it might be overwhelming due to its sweetness and unisex nature. It’s not for everyone, but perfect for those looking for something that matches their personality.
