Excellent perfume from Parfums de Marly, possibly the best in its line. It’s not bright, but many say it’s a potent clone of Hermès Ambre Narguile or similar to Daniel Josier Ambre Tabac. I haven’t tried those, but Oajan is more gourmand and sweet than Ambre Tabac, which is serious and dry. It’s sweet, featuring tonka, cinnamon, and resins like benzoin, vanilla, and honey. It gives a sweet tobacco vibe (even though it doesn’t contain tobacco). Oriental and gourmand, it smells amazing. Any lover of sweet and oriental scents should try it. Longevity is brutal: over 10-12 hours. Curiously, on my skin the sillage is moderate, sometimes discreet. If it’s more potent than Ambre Narguile, I fear Hermès is excessively discreet. Verdict: Excellent.

At first, it smells medicinal, like oud. Intense cinnamon and honey. At 3 hours, the benzoin, labdanum, and ambergris emerge. By 7 hours, it’s vanilla and tonka. At 12 hours, musk with vanilla. I agree with the previous review: it gives off a honeyed tobacco and vanilla vibe, a cliché of the last decade. It works as an oriental if you don’t want fruit or florals. Longevity with 0.5ml exceeded 12 hours, with moderate sillage. It reminds me of fragments of Tobacco Vanille and Spicebomb, that medium-sweet tobacco with cinnamon always. As a pure oriental, it’s for winter and night. Unlike Tobacco Vanille, this one evolves well.

  • Another niche gem from Yuniqu. Unisex, but with a masculine vibe. It’s a bit of a stretch at first, but I really like the scent (I want my partner to wear it). It’s sweet, mature, and deep, without being a typical gourmand. Honey and cinnamon dominate. As it dries down, there’s a tobacco note and something soapy. Then the vanilla and tonka make it wearable, even for women. It’s not my style, but the evolution is interesting. I feel it’s masculine, elegant, and nocturnal. Moderate sillage, brutal longevity: over 10-12 hours. Scent: 7, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 8, Value: 6, Versatility: 6, Packaging: 5. Would I buy it again? No.

  • It finally arrived after what felt like a century. The bottle alone makes me feel like a winner. Upon opening, *bam*! Strong cinnamon like Aladdin’s lamp, which quickly fades to reveal honey, vanilla, and tonka bean. Sweet and creamy. It’s rare, a powerful and enveloping melody. It’s the best from the Arabian Breed collection for projection and longevity. Elegant, distinguished, and mysterious. In my opinion, it’s way above the rest of its style. Highly recommended. Scent: 9.5, Sillage: 9, Longevity: 9, Projection: 9.

  • Oajan is sweeter than you’d expect. After the Layton fiasco, I tried this gem from Parfums de Marly. It smells like apple strudel with cinnamon, honey, and woods. It’s a gourmand you can practically eat. At first, it tastes like cake, then it makes you crave sweets. It lasted 5-6 hours, same as Layton, probably due to the heat. I love it! Maybe the bottle just doesn’t last as long as it should. Scent: 9, Price: 4, Longevity: 6, Sillage: 5, Overall: 6. If it had more projection, I wouldn’t care about the price.

  • Parfum for The Masses

It’s not a gem; it smells okay but nothing special. The trail is short, lasting about 1.5 hours, and it fades after 5 hours. You only really catch it if you press your nose right against it, and at this price point, it’s a disappointment. Try it before you buy.

Yesterday I had the chance to try this fragrance. The opening is well sweet and warm with a great presence of cinnamon and honey notes, which are perfectly distinguished and feel very high quality. As it dries down, in its heart phase, the aroma felt very familiar to me… I was searching in my head for what it resembled, I was sure I had smelled it, until I finally figured it out: ‘Tom Ford Noir Extreme’. I’m surprised no one else mentions it, but in that phase, it’s exactly the same; it has that sweet, cozy warmth, something gourmand and elegant… It’s soft and intimate. Now, in the final part, when it stays closer to the skin, the scent becomes a bit cleaner, masculine, dark, and sober. The truth is, it has very good development and evolution. I was surprised by the fact that it seems to mutate; first it shows one face but ends up feeling different at the end. Beyond that, I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who doesn’t like sweet scents because it is mainly a fragrance of that style.

One of the fragrances that was love at first sniff; the moment I knew it, I loved it. I thought about buying a decant but it didn’t make sense, as I was sure of how much I liked it. I don’t consider it versatile at all; it gives me a sense of elegance, so I use it for special occasions, like an anniversary dinner with my wife or my graduation (this is quite subjective). As for the scent, contrary to several reviews, it doesn’t remind me at all of apple or apple skin; maybe the cinnamon makes it seem so to some, but not to me. For me, it’s tea with honey and cinnamon, and in the dry down, it’s like smelling my old inlaid violin (resin) again, so it brings me beautiful memories and a sense of elegance. I’ve been testing it, and in my case, the longevity is 8 to 10 hours on skin; the first 3-4 hours it projects super well, then it drops to a more personal bubble. The jacket I was wearing when I applied it three days ago still smells like Oajan. For me, it’s a tremendous fragrance; I like it much more than Layton, although I find it less versatile.

Love at first sniff, no doubts whatsoever, and I didn’t even consider decanting. It’s not versatile, but rather elegant—perfect for anniversary dinners or my graduation. Forget the apple; I don’t smell anything like that, just honey and cinnamon tea. As it dries down, it smells like my old spruce-top violin and brings back beautiful memories. The longevity is brutal: 8 to 10 hours on skin, projecting strongly for the first 3 or 4 hours before settling into a personal bubble. The jacket I wore three days ago still smells like Oajan. I like it more than Layton, even though it’s less versatile.

  • This fragrance receives so many compliments, but to my nose, it’s a continuous rejection; I don’t like anything about it. I smell it and have to pull my nose away immediately; it smells mostly like an intense mix of cinnamon and honey, then I start perceiving the tonka bean with vanilla and a touch of patchouli. It hasn’t been to my liking; it’s a grating, too heavy scent. As always, it’s a matter of taste. For me, it’s a huge NO. EDIT: The other day I was looking through my samples with my friends and we were testing everything; it was this one’s turn, and I thought ‘well, okay,’ but that’s all. A few months ago, I couldn’t even stand smelling it…

  • Same as the previous comment. It doesn’t work for me. It’s a blend of notes where honey, cinnamon, tonka bean, and resins predominate. It comes across as an alcoholic tone that I normally like, but here it generates more rejection than attraction. I’ll leave it as indifferent, since it’s not the typical one I want to wash off immediately, but it’s not for me.

The richest cinnamon I’ve ever smelled in a fragrance opening; it’s super crisp and creates a sense of fullness when you have a sweet craving. It lingers minimally before the vanilla kicks in, which is very gourmand. The benzoin adds warmth, and the ton of coumarin (I believe it’s the ingredient with the highest volume) gives it body. From the opening, there’s already patchouli and musk (Galaxolide, typical in PDM) that are almost imperceptible but add body along with many other things. It projects well but lasts very little, max 7 hours, and in extreme cold it disappears if you’re outside; it has a lot of sillage but shortens because the air accelerates the evaporation. For me, it’s 100% gourmand; the dry down is rich, giving the idea of a real dessert, forget designer perfumes… In fact, I think it sins by being too realistic. It’s not opulent, it’s cozy, affectionate… Ideal for a date or romantic dinner, but you must keep the bottle in the car and apply it when you arrive.

  • Oajan impacted me super positively from the very first moment. It’s a gourmand fragrance where a beautiful and very original cinnamon predominates, accompanied by honey, vanilla, tonka bean, and benzoin. This combination creates a warm, sweet masterpiece and a real bomb of compliments and attraction. As some say, it was love at first sniff. Oajan sits in a line similar to Angels’ Share and reminds me a bit of Dates Delight by THOO; it’s that style that evokes classic Christmas or winter desserts. Its performance is very good, and in my opinion, the quality-price ratio is adequate. It’s one of my favorites from the house and I totally recommend it for those looking for a warm and comforting experience.

One of the richest and most complementary vanillas I’ve ever smelled. The opening hits you with a burst of honey, cinnamon, and benzoin, giving it a medicinal touch, similar to other creations like Angel’s Share or Naxos. But in the development, I feel it’s very masculine and slightly alcoholic, where the resinous and vanilla notes dominate. Totally autumnal and wintery. As a conclusion, I feel it has a very elegant touch of honeyed tobacco and vanilla; I dare to say I prefer this Oajan to Layton, which, in my case, tends to smell like Vick’s Vaporub many times, to my dismay.

  • My favorite Marly. There are others in the brand that are easier to like, but for me, this one is indisputably the best. Decent longevity and good projection for the first 2-3 hours.

  • The opening is sweet and spicy, with a marked presence of cinnamon, honey, and vanilla that give it a clearly gourmand character. At first, I doubted if it would be for me because that sweetness is the protagonist. But as it dries down, it becomes elegant and rounded, with a very pleasant and particular aroma. What I highlight most about Oajan is its special DNA; it’s not generic or repetitive, it feels curated, with personality and good quality. The projection was moderate; after a few hours, it sticks to the skin and you have to get very close to notice it. The longevity is correct, but not as potent as I expected given its reputation. In short, it’s interesting and well-made, with a different sweet-spicy profile. Still, personally, I don’t feel it connects enough to want a full bottle. My final rating: 3.9/5.

  • I think this is the best gourmand I’ve tried so far. That cinnamon opening lasts forever and gives the scent a dense weight. As for performance, it lasts 6-10 hours, but be warned: in my opinion, it’s exclusive to cold climates. I give it an 8/10.
