This new Dior launch seems very apt for these hot months; the quality of the notes is incredible and it’s delicious. It reminds me of how well-crafted Hermès perfumes are, with that earthy orange touch, and here François Demachy achieves it with red fruits and citrus. When I first smelled it, it didn’t surprise me much, but after two weeks and using it thoroughly thanks to a vial gifted with Colle Noire, I was very pleased. Highly recommended if you want to spice up your collection of ‘heavy’ perfumes and are looking for something more wearable, casual, rich, juicy, and pleasant.

  • Can you make a red fruit perfume that isn’t cloying but sophisticated, carefree, and cheerful, avoiding the usual acidity? Dior manages it with Rouge Trafalgar, although I didn’t like it enough to justify the price. It smells very pleasant and airy, with a citrus base that makes it fresh and wearable. At first, I notice a hard-to-identify green touch, then it becomes soapy and musky as it dries. It evokes cleanliness; I like that the red fruits are in such a clean, fresh, and non-sweet composition. But the sillage seems subtle. Longevity is good, about 7 hours on my skin, and it’s totally unisex. It’s a spring or summer scent that evokes elegance through simplicity. For winter, I’ve read it makes good layering with Feve Delicieuse, so I’ll keep my decant to try it. Update: the mix with Feve Delicieuse was a hit; it adds warmth and weight, making it suitable for cool days. Scent 7/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 6/10, Value 5/10, Versatility 7.5/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? No, I didn’t.

A true delight. Smells like a blend of red fruits with a solid grapefruit base. If you can imagine it, it should be that almost orange-pink color, and the best part is that with just three sprays, you can smell it in a small room without being overwhelming. The downside? The price. Angel ou Demon Le Secret for women smells similar but with tea instead of grapefruit, and the sweet blueberries are reminiscent of this Dior one, though not identical—they just share a touch. Feminine? I have sweeter ‘masculine’ perfumes, so I’d say it’s unisex. Perfect for a hot day if you don’t want to wear the typical aquatic scent. I recommend it, just if your arm doesn’t hurt from the price.

A true delight: a blend of red fruits with a solid grapefruit base. Imagine that almost orange-pink hue; the best part is that three sprays smell great in a small room without being overpowering. The only downside is the price, as Angel ou Demon Le Secret smells similar but with tea instead of grapefruit, although the sweet blueberries are comparable to this Dior one. Be aware, they aren’t the same, they just share a touch. Is it feminine? I have sweeter ‘masculine’ perfumes, so this leans more unisex. Ideal for a hot day if you don’t want the typical aquatic vibe. I recommend it, just if you don’t mind paying the price.

  • An ethereal, feminine, and fresh perfume that recalls other red fruit scents but with that special Dior touch. Its projection is weak, the trail is moderate, and it lasts about six hours. I definitely like it, especially for warm days or after a shower; the notes are very realistic and of outstanding quality. However, the price seems too high for the longevity and sillage it projects. A great perfume at an unaffordable price.

The sillage on me is moderate, and the longevity is weak, lasting around 6 hours. I definitely like it; it’s ideal for hot days or after a shower. • I bought the mini size to try it out, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s like smelling a raspberry juice mixed with citrus; it’s feminine and charming—a sweet scent that doesn’t overwhelm or become cloying, and when you smell it, you imagine a fuchsia color. I see it as perfect for spring and summer, but in my experience, it lasts only four hours before I need to reapply.

I bought the mini size to test it out and it didn’t disappoint. It smells like fresh raspberry juice with a citrus twist; it’s feminine and charming—a sweet scent that doesn’t overwhelm or become cloying, reminding me of fuchsia. I see it as perfect for spring and summer. I’ll keep testing it, but it lasts about 4 hours before I need to reapply.

  • I fell in love testing it. Those delicate red fruits, that lasting strawberry, finishing with a citrus touch like bitter orange, à la Hermès. It’s fascinating. To my taste, very similar to Miss Dior Cherie, except at the end instead of jasmine, you get that citrus note. I see it as perfect for spring and summer. It’s fabulous to me.

  • I tried this perfume and fell in love. Those delicate red fruits, that strawberry that lingers throughout the scent, and finishes with a citrus touch like bitter orange from Hermès. It’s fascinating. For my taste, it’s very similar to Miss Dior Cherie; the only difference is that at the end, instead of jasmine, there’s the citrus touch I mentioned. I see it as perfect for spring and summer. It’s fabulous to me.

At first, it smells like medicinal syrup, maybe due to the strong red fruit blend on my skin. Then the musk and citrus soften that sweetness. As it dries, the fruits remain, especially cherry and raspberry, slightly acidic thanks to the citrus, reminding me of cherry ‘Certs’ lozenges. In short, it’s fruity without being gourmand, making it wearable. Unfortunately, I don’t like red fruits in general, so I wouldn’t buy it, but it’s a good perfume. Unlike similar ones, I wore it all day because it’s refined and not overwhelming. If you’re looking for a cherry aroma that isn’t too sweet or synthetic, it could be a good option.

  • Love at first sniff. Rouge Trafalgar captivated me from the very first whiff. My only gripe is that on my skin it doesn’t last as long; for me, about 3-4 hours. It’s sweet but not too sweet, citrusy without being overly so. A perfect balance. Fruity, tasty, fresh, delicate, and elegant. An ideal fragrance for spring-summer.

Happy Children’s Day and happy sniffing. I usually don’t wear feminine fragrances; this is the only one in my collection. It’s a true delight. It’s one of those scents that, as soon as you spray it, volatilizes instantly, reaches the brain, and generates pure joy—an uncontrollable emotion that makes it hard not to smile. It’s instant aromatherapy without a diffuser. The projection is very good, powerful, and invasive; you smell it because you smell it from the very beginning. I love it as much as my favorite citrus masculine, Dior Homme Cologne 2022: that ‘I can’t believe it’ feeling, what a rich smell and such immense happiness. I tested it alongside other scents from Dior’s Private Collection: Vanilla Diorama, Ambre Nuit, Spice Blend, Sakura, Oud Ispahan, and Tobacolor. If I had to choose one, I’d stick with Rouge Trafalgar, a thousand times over. Super versatile, used day or night, in cold or heat, any season; it doesn’t bother anyone, and it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t like it. The only thing is, it’s not for formal occasions, unless you’re very rebellious lol. It’s funny that a close friend described it as ‘fine rice’; those who understood, understood. If it’s a bit sexy-naive and playful, I understand why it looks feminine. They put it for women, but it’s a red fruit scent, sour, sweet, cheerful, luminous, bubbly, so noble and universal that I believe men, women, children, girls, seniors, anyone of any age would enjoy it. My favorite olfactory note in feminine perfumes is raspberry, and in this great perfume, it predominates; the strawberry isn’t felt much; I’d say it’s a mix of raspberry and blackcurrants. If you already have it, enjoy it; if you’re thinking of buying it, don’t hesitate, buy blind, 100% recommended.

Happy Children’s Day and sniff-tested. I rarely use feminine perfumes, and this is the only one in my collection. It’s a delight that, upon spraying, hits the brain in microseconds, generating pure joy, an uncontrollable emotion that makes you smile. It’s instant aromatherapy without a diffuser. The projection is powerful and invasive from the start. I love it as much as my Dior Homme Cologne 2022; that ‘I can’t believe it’ feeling of immense happiness. I tested it against Dior’s Private Collection: Vanilla Diorama, Ambre Nuit, Spice Blend, Sakura, Oud Ispahan, and Tobacolor, but Rouge Trafalgar 2020 takes the crown, over and over. It’s super versatile, perfect for day, night, cold, heat, any season. It doesn’t bother anyone, and it’s hard for anyone not to like it. Just not for formal occasions, unless you’re a rebel lol. A friend calls it ‘fine rice’; those who get it, get it. It’s sexy-naive and playful, explaining its feminine side. Although Fragancia lists it for women, it smells of red fruits, acidic, sweet, cheerful, luminous, and bubbly—something so noble I think men, women, kids, and elders would all enjoy it. My favorite note among feminine scents is raspberry, which dominates over strawberry, mixed with blackcurrants. If you have it, enjoy it; if you’re thinking of buying it, don’t hesitate, buy blind, 100% recommended.

It’s a rich but predictable gem, reminiscent of Natura’s fruity scents, though the quality is on another level. It dries down to a musk bomb with patchouli and florals. At first, it’s super unisex and makes you smile, but later it leans feminine. In the mid-notes, there’s cassis, a green touch, and grapefruit that smells like acidic passion fruit. It projects massively and fades quickly; after 3 hours it’s a skin scent and by 8 hours it’s gone, though it lasts on clothes until washed. For the price, it’s amazing, smells exquisite, and if you’re a woman, buy it—you’ll be full of compliments.
