Good afternoon, introducing myself. Recently I discovered my olfactory memory, which helps me recall moments and sensations. I started with whisky tastings and noticed I enjoyed the scent more than the bitter taste of the alcohol, so I began my journey into aromas and olfactory education. Proud to recognize certain scents, here I am writing my first review. With my experience using Polo Blue EdT, Polo Blue EdP, and Ralph’s Club EdP, I say this is elegant, unobtrusive, with a faint echo of the previous ones but much softer and smoother. It has presence and substance ahead of Polo Blue. The opening smells clean, delicately citrusy and sweet, reminiscent of Chanel Allure Blanche in softness. Then geranium, statice, and orange blossom emerge, subtle and scratch-free, like an open window after a night rain that has stirred the herbs. It’s fresh, with a tiny sweet touch in the projection, nothing overwhelming even at 34 degrees. The woods and patchouli give it a groundedness the previous ones lacked. The trail is high but polite, less annoying than a Tygar by Bvlgari or a Wanted by Night, but it does make itself known. It’s very balanced. It doesn’t have the projection or longevity of those others, but for 70-80 euros, I wouldn’t hesitate. Like with whiskies or gin tonics, everyone has their taste and skin chemistry. It doesn’t hit me strongly or sweetly as others say; it smells clean and subtle, nothing like bathroom cleaner or powdery iris. It’s a middle ground, fresh, and less sweet. The woods don’t reach Wonderwood levels, but for the price, it’s a steal. Don’t trust my subjective opinion; try it on your skin. It’s like running into someone you recognize but not from this life: a great evening. It must be the chemistry blinding me.
Unfortunately, it missed the mark in my opinion. Weak scent, minimal projection, and poor longevity. The notes aren’t perceptible except for cardamom, lavender, and very faintly mandarin. It starts strong for the first 4-6 minutes with a very synthetic sweetness, then abruptly fades into a linear, boring scent with no evolution. Only when pressing your nose to the skin during the dry-down do you notice a slight earthy touch. It’s a generic fragrance that smells like body wash but with very poor performance given its high current price. I don’t recommend it.
@Christoph This fragrance doesn’t contain cardamom. Let’s be serious when rating and don’t mislead people.
@X_bmstyle True, that’s the other one (I bought it in December 2021). I’ll move my comment to the other post. Thanks.
@javiromanok If you’ve had it for almost a year, you can’t have this one; you should have the Club, not the Parfum, since this just launched.
I just bought it and it’s spectacular. Although we don’t have the Eau de Parfum version yet, this one holds up well and I absolutely adore it. This PARFUM takes it to the next level: it’s marvelous and I can’t stop smelling myself. I preferred the original Eau de Parfum launch for that pure explosion of lavender, but it didn’t last at all and the projection faded quickly. This PARFUM is something else entirely: it respects the DNA while adding more masculinity, longevity, and maturity. I love everything about it except the price. The bottle is practically the same, but the lower half is a dark satin black (at first I thought it was rubber), but against the light you can see it’s fabric, which gives it more character. Come on, what a Perfumonnn!
I really love it; it smells like a gentleman—kind and seductive. I imagine the classic Italian man. It’s a scent I enjoy quite a bit, though unfortunately, it doesn’t last very long.
Ralph Lauren’s Ralph’s Club Parfum starts fresh with grapefruit, soft lavender, and a fruity touch of apple. The lavender provides cleanliness, and together with neroli, makes it more usable and superior to my taste compared to Dior’s Sauvage. It then turns warm and spicy with vetiver, patchouli, and cedar. I recommend it for the office: it doesn’t cause controversy and 99% of people will like it. Its trail and projection are moderate, as is the longevity. The only flaw is that it smells good but offers nothing new for experts. Age 15+, 100% masculine, all year round, and for work. Final score 7.65/10.
@Titoripo Maybe the cardamomo isn’t very noticeable, but it is definitely listed in the official notes on Ralph Lauren’s promotional poster.
Very elegant and youthful, reminiscent of YSL’s Y but with less fruit and sweetness. As it dries, the woods (patchouli, vetiver, cashmere, and cedar) take over, while the apple and lavender add freshness with notes of aromatic sage. It has a floral and citrus halo that makes it pleasant and evolving, starting off as a night scent but versatile enough for daytime with a suit and tie, then relaxing into informal settings. The bottle is beautiful and its longevity is potent, lasting for hours.
Ralph’s Club Parfum is fresh, aromatic, and woody. Fresh and fruity opening, very pleasant, then it becomes more aromatic. The floral accords of lavender, geranium, and other flowers drive the scent. I detect a spicy, semi-toasted, and sweet touch, like tonka bean or cinnamon, even though they aren’t listed in the notes. It’s versatile, for any season or situation, pleasant and masculine, easy to like, typical of ‘blue’ fragrances. Average longevity, lasts about 8 hours, with regular to low projection. In short, it’s pleasant and an alternative to Sauvage EDP, Y Le Parfum, or Coach for Men, though I always advise testing it on skin first.
It’s an exquisite fragrance, too bad it lasts absolutely nothing on me. For the price, there are Armaf or Bentley perfumes that cost half as much and last double or more.
I don’t usually talk about perfumes I don’t own, but this is the exception. I tested it a week ago in front of the perfumery; I tested the EDP two months ago and it didn’t grab me due to projection and longevity. Now with the Parfum version, nothing like what I thought. Beastly longevity on my skin, about 16 hours without issue. It’s been 6 days on the sleeve of my jacket and still looks spectacular. The projection is incredible; at 5 hours, people a meter away were asking what I was wearing. I see it for daily use due to the clean feeling and comfort on hot days. Excellent, it convinced me to make it my next purchase.
I already have it and I agree with jimblue: it’s very similar to YSL Y, I’m not saying it’s identical but it follows that line. Y is one of my favorites; I understand the grapefruit makes it different, though it places it in this elegant category. Ideal for a night date, work meeting, dinner, or formal occasion. 10/10.
I prefer the EDP; it has a better opening, decent longevity, and its own DNA, unlike this one which is another clone of YSL Y.
At first I thought it didn’t last at all, then I discovered it lasts a ton and I got many compliments. But in the end, I swapped it for a Bentley For Men and a Bulgari MIB.
It’s the typical fragrance for an older man, smells like a dad. As a gift for someone 35/40 and up, I see it well. It works for any occasion and season. It’s just another one, doesn’t stand out in any way. I read it was supposed to be in the line of Y EDP by Yves Saint Laurent, but they don’t resemble each other at all.
Even though they say it lasts nothing and has no projection, that’s not true. The scent causes olfactory fatigue; the more you wear it, the less you feel it, but it smells perfect to others and you’ll get compliments. I tested it walking for 2 hours in winter with wind and didn’t feel it, but when I got home, people praised it. It’s linear, only noticeable at the opening is the apple. It’s one of the most masculine scents out there, but it doesn’t feel old-school. It’s more elegant than Y EDP, greener, and less sweet. Ideal for ages 25 and up. I recommend spraying it on clothes; on cotton, it lasts forever. You can overapply without bothering anyone; the only downside is you don’t feel it yourself. The atomizer is short and doesn’t dispense all I want. The box has great embossed details and the bottle is nice, elegant, like CH Men Privé but with better quality. The glass is fingerprint-resistant and lets you see the contents in backlight. If you’re looking for something modern, masculine, elegant, and compliment-worthy, I recommend it. Hope it doesn’t give me olfactory fatigue.
Doesn’t it sound half like Captain Intense by Molyneux? I like it more and it lasts longer than Club, plus it’s five times cheaper. Maybe I’m crazy, I don’t know, lol. Anyway, Club is rich. Too bad it doesn’t last long for a Parfum, and here in Uruguay it’s $200, so it’s not worth it.
This Parfum is a beast, way more attractive than the previous EDP. I love it, but I don’t see much originality; they didn’t reinvent the wheel. Plus, it lacks the longevity and performance expected from a mid-to-high range Parfum. Whatever the perfumery theorists say, labeling something as EDC, EDT, EDP, or Parfum seems more like a marketing exercise than reality. It smells great, is versatile, leans into the blue scent family, feels formal, mature, and charming (expect compliments). Moderate longevity, low originality, and expensive. Cheers!
Better than its little sister, the EDP. It smells more robust, exquisite, and everyone loves it. It’s very versatile, except in extreme temperatures, and performs well overall. If you already have the EDP and like it, you don’t need this. If you don’t own either, this is your pick. Rating: 8.8/10.
The ultimate all-rounder: fresh, sweet, and woody. Maybe due to the price, the longevity and projection aren’t the best, but the composition and scent are high-quality and refined.
Similar scent to the EDP but more refined. When comparing both, the Parfum fades incredibly fast; it’s almost gone after half an hour. The EDP isn’t a beast either, but it lasts about eight hours and projects better. I’m sticking with the EDP.
Short and honest review: It doesn’t last at all, smells like a heavily diluted version of the EDP. It causes olfactory fatigue right from the start. Not recommended.
At first, I thought it smelled like seaweed—green and salty—even though it doesn’t have those notes. As it dries down, the green apple and sweetness come through. The longevity is disappointing: it projects for an hour and then lasts only three hours as a skin scent. Maybe it’s just olfactory fatigue. The box is pretty though. Scent: 6/10, longevity: 4/10, value: 8/10. Overall, a letdown; I expected more.
The smell is okay, but it doesn’t stand out at all. Longevity is poor and it has zero projection. At least it was a gift.
Excellent scent, suits me well, and lasts more than six hours wherever you apply it. It performs better than the EDP.
This isn’t a review guide, it’s my unfiltered opinion. It smells boring and generic to me, like something from a pharmacy, and the longevity is terrible. Not recommended. On the other hand, Ralph’s Club Elixir is on another level; it smells different and is an absolute bomb.
Great vibe! Smells different and fresh at first, but the best part is how it sits on the skin. Lacks a bit of projection, but it’s exquisite. I recommend it way more than the Elixir, which smells like a car garage.
Clean, masculine, and simple, but it has everything you could hope for from that style.
The Ralph Club line (EDP and Parfum) are the cleanest and most versatile of the entire Polo collection. Nobody could be bothered by these scents.
The bottle is beautiful, the perfume… hmm, between being somewhat generic, it brought me memories of the YSL Y discounted, a bit of Invictus, and nothing else. It’s not a dressy scent by any means; it’s a fresh and elegant perfume for an afternoon outing.
This perfume is the same as Nuit de l’Homme, but with a blue touch, so you might feel it a bit more masculine. The same goes for the EDP version. Surprise! The same perfumer did it.
If I had to define the word versatility, it would be with Ralph Club Parfum. I have nothing more to say, gentlemen. (Sauvage is also an excellent option, but the pepper makes some people gag).
My experience was this: the opening is an acidic and sweet grapefruit, juicy and refreshing, with a background of crisp apple and that soft lavender aura that doesn’t smell synthetic to me. In the dry down, it’s floral: I feel the geranium is scarce but it’s there, the statice takes over, then comes the soft orange blossom. The synergy between the statice and that geranium creates a floral accord that reminds me of a spring morning opening the window and feeling that herbal and floral morning aroma. The base is what gives it character: the vetiver gives an earthy sensation, but harmonizing with the cedar gives it a masculine, robust, and woody character, like when a carpenter delivers a freshly made cedar furniture piece without varnish. The patchouli adds a balsamic and aromatic touch, almost camphorated, with that refreshing background sensation, and the cashmere is light, almost imperceptible, adding sophistication and elegance. I’ve read that it doesn’t last or have good projection for a Parfum, but I don’t know what skin type they have. Today I put it on at six in the morning, and when I write this it still smells skin-close, although in its first hours it had good projection. I hope my experience describes the fragrance; in the end, every skin and pH is different.
One of the most versatile after the Y EDT. It doesn’t invent or take any risks; it’s a fresh, woody scent with lavender very prominent, feeling very clean. In terms of projection and longevity, it seems more like an EDP than a Parfum. I see it as a daily wear aroma, not for special occasions, but something to use right after a shower.
Ralph’s Club Parfum is a modern, polished, and easy-to-please fragrance that does the job well if you want something elegant and risk-free. Ideal for a dressed-up night look, but don’t expect much surprise or distinct personality.
A decent, fulfilling perfume, but nothing more. It offers nothing risky. It’s rich, woody, and classic—nineties style—with a touch of green apple. But I repeat: with perfumes costing over a hundred dollars, surprise me! That’s why Arab perfumes or less overhyped designer scents are crushing it over these brand names that are way too expensive and overpriced. Here you’re paying for the brand and for showing off that you have a Ralph Lauren in your pro collection, but the scent offers nothing you haven’t heard before.
Smells delicious but very weak; lasts a maximum of two hours. Plus, it smells identical to the Eau de Parfum without being more potent, so owning both is redundant.
Just saying, I absolutely love it.
