  • I’m still in the madness of flanker vs. flanker… this Polo Red brings nothing new; it’s just the EDP in a different bottle and more expensive. If you like the original, buy it now—they’ll probably discontinue it to sell this. I tested it against the EDP at the mall, and the salesperson couldn’t tell them apart; they were identical! The only difference is the EDP lasts much longer.

Okay, here we have this Polo Red Parfum and I have to say I did like it. It’s more mature, lasting 8 to 10 hours on skin, more serious and usable in any season. I liked that slightly extroverted opening, a mix of all ingredients where orange, pink pepper, and a bit of lavender with absinthe stand out at first. Then it gets more serious, letting the nuances of bergamot, musk, and cedar come out. Out of all the Polos, this is the one I liked the most and I think I’d buy it again.

  • Nothing extraordinary; it opens with notes similar to Invictus Platinum, in fact, I barely heard it and remembered this one. Then time passes and sweet notes with touches of lavender remain. Longevity is more than expected for this brand, which usually makes perfumes with lamentable longevity and sillage at high prices. Blind buy? If you like Invictus Platinum-style perfumes or sweet ones with lavender, I think yes, but if you doubt this style, I recommend testing it before buying.

Okay, here’s the Polo Red Parfum and yes, I liked it. It’s more mature, lasts 8 to 10 hours on skin, feels more serious, and works for any season. I liked that extroverted opening, a mix of everything where orange, pink pepper, and a touch of lavender with absinthe stand out at first. Then it gets more serious, letting bergamot, musk, and cedar emerge. Out of all the Polos, this is one of my favorites, and I think I’d buy it again.

  • I bought it blind and was hugely surprised. It’s the best of the entire Polo Red line for me. It’s very close to Intense but beats it. It reminds me of the discontinued Bambú Radiant by Adolfo Domínguez, but with much better performance. It also has a strong resemblance to Armani Code Parfum 2022, though this one smells less fruity. I absolutely loved it!

  • I bought it blind and was very surprised. It’s the best in the Polo Red line for my taste. It leans heavily towards Polo Red Intense, but a step further. It’s very similar to the discontinued Bambú Radiant by Adolfo Domínguez, but with better performance. It’s also compared to Armani Code Parfum 2022; I notice similarities, but the latter is less fruity. I loved it.

  • Citrus opening, notable lavender, and creamy base… good fragrance, lasts 7-8 hours, and sillage is normal. I see it as suitable for any occasion. I recommend it.

Rich and original fragrance. Projects well and lasts a lot. The blood orange is very marked with that absinthe-like touch. If you’re looking for something original, absinthe-like, and without leather (like I wanted), this is it. Close sibling to 212 VIP Black. Guys, stop watching YouTube and repeating nonsense like ‘it doesn’t last,’ ‘bad projection,’ or ‘it’s not original.’ They look like parrots repeating what their YouTube idols say, just proving they’re puppets. Ridiculous to say ‘it only lasts 8 hours’ seriously? Is that bad? It’s amazing. And it’s normal to project for an hour and then drop, REPEAT WITH ME: IT’S NORMAL AND HAPPENS WITH 99% OF FRAGRANCES.

  • The opening promised: juicy orange and decent quality, very different from the Parfum Blue which I found generic and sticky afterward. Then it changes and ends with a blend that doesn’t convince me. The bottle is beautiful. It seemed olbiano, but it’s not listed; maybe cedar and pink pepper mixed with hints of the previous notes. Sometimes I criticize people for only talking about what’s on the note list, but the reality is official websites sometimes vary (Ralph Lauren lists benjui instead of opoponax) and the brand may have commercial interests that don’t reflect the real scent. It could carry components similar to others claiming olbiano without declaring it. Anyway, the performance isn’t bad, although the quality isn’t wonderful, better at the start. I recommend trying it to see that particular dry-down, but for me, it’s not.

I bought it recently and loved it at first. It’s sweet but not unpleasant, smelling of fruity chocolate, with blood orange standing out to add freshness to that powerful touch. It sits well on skin, projects strongly at first but fades to a close range. To me, it’s romantic, perfect for dates, sunny days, or even cold weather, but not in the heat. It’s not for daily use because the sweetness can get cloying; better to wear it two times a week at pubs or restaurants. It smells charming and even aphrodisiac, I’d use it for a good intimate impression.

Just bought DATE and it’s very similar, just like 212 VIP Black or Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme… it gives that deodorant vibe. Perfect for going out to parties 🤙

  • Polo Red Parfum is a fruity, aromatic, and spicy blend. It opens with fresh notes of sweet apple and a touch of floral lavender. At first, I thought it would be very sweet, but within minutes it turns aromatic and spicy with pepper and ginger, finishing with a pleasant semi-sweet base. It’s modern, versatile, and suitable for any age or occasion, from school to everyday wear. I was surprised by its longevity, lasting over 12 hours on skin, much longer than the Polo Oud I tested alongside it, which lasted less. Its sillage is average. It’s easy to like if you enjoy modern aromatics, but compared to cheaper options like Azzaro Wanted EDT, the purchase depends on your budget. Give it a try and decide for yourself.

  • Polo Red Parfum is fruity, aromatic, and spicy. It starts with sweet apple notes and a touch of floral lavender. At first, I thought it would be very sweet, but within minutes it turns aromatic and spicy, with pepper and ginger, leading to a pleasant semi-sweet base. It smells modern, similar to Stronger With You or Azzaro Wanted EDT, versatile for any age and daily occasion. I was surprised by the longevity—over 12 hours on skin, better than the Polo Oud I tested alongside it. The sillage is moderate to low. It’s easy to like if you enjoy modern aromatics, but compare prices since Azzaro is cheaper. Try it and decide for yourself.

  • Owner of the EDP version, which I understand as one of the few fragrances that are both sweet and elegant at the same time. This PARFUM version makes me reconsider my collection. Tested in-store, the first impression was impeccable; I perceive it as slightly more mature than the EDP, which suits my personality. It doesn’t seem to project or last too long, but such a charming and underused scent deserves reflection. The battle is on: which version will survive in my collection? EDP or PARFUM? My pillow has work to do.

  • A good perfume for a casual night out for an adult, I’d say, around 30 years old. Not for going to a club.

  • More sweet than citrusy – This RED PARFUM is delicious, with a very sexy fruity sweetness. It’s elegant yet versatile. It opens with citrus and sweetness, featuring blood orange as the star, boosted by pink pepper. In the dry down, it becomes sweeter with a clean touch of lavender that makes it more masculine. As it dries further, something woody/musky appears. It reminded me a lot of Armani Code… there’s a soft, sweet tobacco note (undeclared) that surprised me. I see it as ideal for dates; it’s hard to fail with it. The performance is decent for a RL. I think this and Ralph’s Club Parfum are the most decent from this house so far. It starts with a good trail for the first two hours, then fades, but stays on the skin for about 8 hours, which is a lot to say lol. I don’t recommend it for extreme heat because the sweetness could be overwhelming. In my opinion, it works better in temperate or cool climates, day or night. Enjoy!

  • Obviously, I bought it because I liked it, but it lasts much less than expected. For the price, it’s very disappointing. With 8 sprays, I managed to get 7 hours of wear at the club.

  • Sweet, elegant, and seductive perfume. I find it versatile for all seasons, though better at night. It’s perfect for romantic dates or gatherings with friends because its strength is close-range projection and it generates compliments. Plus, it’s not overused, and it’s not a scent everyone in the industry has reviewed.

  • It smells great, ideal for night or a date, which is why I bought it after smelling it. However, the performance is disappointing. For a parfum, it lacks a lot; you barely smell it if you’re close.

  • Super fruity and sweet scent with a fresh touch. Reminds me of the JPG Scandal line. Polo Red is playful, sexy, and youthful, yet has a certain seriousness that makes it wearable for any age. Anyway, great perfume 🤌🏻

  • The scent is excellent, ideal for going out at night or on a date—that’s what made me buy it the moment I smelled it. However, the performance is disappointing. For a Parfum, it lacks a lot; you can barely smell it if you’re close.

  • Another disappointment… mediocre performance and the scent feels inferior to previous versions. What a shame, because Polo Blue EDT was one of my favorite fragrances, but it’s regrettable that this prestigious house’s latest releases don’t measure up.

  • Tested on a decant. Very rich aroma; blood orange is noticeable from start to finish, accompanied by musk. Fresh, sweet, and fruity. It’s versatile but lacks longevity and projection. The Parfum format is weak here. I love the smell, but it’s not worth the price.

  • Very versatile, though I wish it lasted longer in the shoulder seasons. On my skin, it held for 7 hours with average projection. For me, it remains the best Polo on the market.

  • Ricardo-powa

It has nothing to do with Ultra Red… it’s ridiculous to think that because of the ‘blood orange’ opening note, both fragrances would seem similar… This is a beast of a fragrance. Without sharing notes, it gives me that metallic-aluminum sensation that spray deodorants give (like a cousin of Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme). It smells like a sporty man 🤙

Well… I don’t know where to start. After reviewing so much here, I resisted giving an opinion on any Polo RL. From the original Blue and Green, I’ve had a huge heartbreak with their reformulations and flankers whose DNA I no longer recognize. The sales ladies at the stores I frequent almost ironically offer me samples of this brand… Who knows if waiting for a reconciliation 😅 is what brought me here with this Red Parfum. After testing several samples on different days, I see that Red Parfum is a fragrance that doesn’t hide who it wants to please and what it’s playing. It’s very linear; its opening, heart, and base phases are so close together they seem like one, offering a sweet scent with very prominent absinthe and lavender that dominate the rest. Its behavior and aroma make it very nocturnal and festive, ideal for a younger audience. It’s not very projecting, retreating in half an hour to stay close to the skin for about seven hours (if you’re generous). Does it smell good? Yes, of course. Will it blow your mind? I don’t think so. Will it deliver? If you’re looking for a masculine but youthful and playful fragrance, yes, but it won’t create fans who repeat it over and over with new backup bottles, especially in extensive collections where these proposals are common. It’s an unoriginal scent. I’ll continue to miss my vintage versions of this brand that haven’t returned to what they were yet (like many others from designers). Anyway, I do encourage you to try it and share your feeling here 🙂. Greetings! If you like my reviews, I invite you to follow my TikTok channel: Chuliá Parfum Reviews @chulia.my13parfums

I found it at the perfumerie without knowing they had released another version of Red Polo and thought: let’s see. It smells very good, it’s sweet and pleasant, but they’ve ripped its soul out: the coffee note that all Red Polos have. With that alone, I’m lost, as that note was its ‘charm’. This new version reminds me of the plastic of newly bought dolls, which smells like strong plastic. It’s pleasant and has more punch than the first two they released.

  • For me, it’s one of the best Ralph Laughs and all the fragrances I’ve tried at Fragrance, as few let me recognize all the notes. Upon application, it smells like alcohol and herbs that dissipate quickly; as it dries, that acidic and spicy citrus scent of blood orange, bergamot, and pink pepper blooms. After an hour and a half, when the moderate scents relax, it becomes more personal and calm, losing that acidity to stay with the blood orange accompanied by pink pepper, green notes, florals, and woody and sweet nuances of cedar. In the final phase, the blood orange loses intensity to the sweetness of opoponax, which lets it peek through with silky and soft tones of musk. It’s very versatile, suitable for any occasion, season, or age, except in extreme heat above 40°C, where it can become cloying due to the blood orange and the caramel-like touch at the end. On my skin, it lasts 7 hours, approaching 8, and on clothes, it exceeds 10 hours with moderate projection that drops off sharply after the second hour. For me, it’s the best Polo on the market. In summary: sweet, bitter, acidic, soft… different sensations at different moments, good for a torn shirt and a frayed cuff.

  • For me, it’s one of the best from Ralph Lauren and all the ones I’ve tried at Fragantica; it’s rare I can identify all the notes. Upon spraying, it smells of alcohol and herbs that fade quickly, revealing sharp citrus and spice: blood orange, bergamot, and pink pepper. After an hour and a half, it settles, becoming more personal and calm; the acidity drops but the orange remains, accompanied by green, floral, cedar, and a touch of sweetness. Finally, the orange loses its punch, opopanax takes a bit of the lead, but the fruit still peeks through with silky musk tones. It’s super versatile for any season and age, except above 40°C where it gets cloying due to the orange and caramelous dry down. On my skin, it lasts 7 hours, close to 8, and over 10 on clothes, with moderate projection that fades after the second hour. For me, it’s the best Polo: sweet, bitter, acidic, soft… perfect for a torn shirt or a button-down.

My wife gifted it to me, and I loved the aroma. It gives me that bubble-bath perfume feeling all day. I applied ten sprays at noon, and I can still smell it at 9 PM (though faintly). It seems elegant, sweet, woody, and ideal for any occasion. It’s one of those fragrances where you can’t go wrong without bothering anyone with a harsh smell; as you get closer, you notice good taste. It has definitely become one of my favorites in the collection.

  • It’s a very rich and wearable fragrance with good performance. It’s very similar to Afnan 9pm Rebel and Qaed Al Fursan, but without as much punch. It’s suitable for any weather, though on very hot days or in hot places, you need to be careful with how much you apply.

  • It reminds me of Code Parfum in the dry-down phase with that iris giving a metallic sensation. Here, the presence of absinthe makes the scent sweeter, whereas Code feels cleaner and more metallic. Personally, I choose Code.

  • Kepa_Jametxo_Masrica

There’s no one who doesn’t like this ‘perfume’ (in quotes because its performance is that of an EDT, generous in duration and sillage), but I also don’t think there’s anyone who absolutely loves it. It smells good, but only so-so. It’s the scent for going to the grocery store, hanging out at a friend’s watching football, or heading to the office if you want to smell nice without standing out. If someone at the office gives you a whiff, you’d stop recommending it even for that. If you plan to go out for drinks, dinner with friends, or family, this fragrance is like the padded jacket in the pantomime: it won’t clash in any season or occasion, so you won’t fail, but you also won’t be a total hit.

  • Francisco.Cow01

It’s a sweet, fruity, and versatile fragrance. The opening smells like blueberry but disappears in less than a minute, leaving a blend of sweet lavender, mint liqueur, and a bitter note I believe is the blood orange. The scent is very good, and the longevity and projection are moderate, which is typical for Ralph Lauren. The price is decent, so I think it’s worth trying.

  • Red Parfum is my favorite in the line. From the very first moment, it smells different: citrusy and warm thanks to blood orange, clean with bergamot, and spiced with a touch of pink pepper for a unique opening. In the heart, it calms down a bit but keeps its character, becoming sweeter with lavender that adds balance without being heavy. As it dries down, the musk and cedar leave a clean, woody base that is masculine, present, yet refined. It performs very well, lasts a long time, and projects strongly at first, even on clothes, without being invasive. It gives me a sense of security and maturity with a modern vibe; it’s versatile for all seasons, though it shines more at night. It’s one of the best in the range and makes you feel great the moment you put it on.
