Descripción
Montsouris by Zara is an oriental vanilla fragrance from the olfactive family, created by perfumer Olivier Cresp in 2020. This composition, designed for men and for women, unfolds an olfactive structure where the top notes feature citrus and spices that give way to a floral and woody heart, culminating in a sweet and persistent base of vanilla and warm woods.

Inspired by Baccarat, quite boring, moderate performance, and simple… It doesn’t offer much to me.
I don’t see it as a dupe for BR560; the similarity is only noticeable in the dry-down; the opening reminds me a lot of Voyage by Hermès. It smells of lavender with citrus and cardamom, and in the transition to the dry-down, it gives that slightly sweetened and woody twist typical of BR560’s dry-down.
At first, it smells citrusy and green, like bergamot or lemon, giving it a unisex touch despite being sweet. Lavanda appears immediately and lasts throughout the perfume’s life. As it dries down, it smells sweet and musky, very similar to Burberry Her. I was surprised because it doesn’t have red fruit, but after an hour, you can detect some berry or strawberry notes. I suppose it has the same DNA as BR540, which is why it’s compared to Ariana Grande’s Cloud, and it dries down on me like Her. I read in English that someone smells Instant Crush (another BR540 dupe) with more lavender. Overall, it’s interesting and totally unisex. I bought it for the lavender, my favorite note, and thought I’d like it with the macaron and praline. I do like it, but the longevity is short: at most 4 hours. It can also be over-sprayed, especially since the projection is strong for the first hour and then almost disappears after 3 hours. Still, I love the aroma, even though the projection bothers me, and I adore that Baccarat DNA. I recommend it only if you also like BR540, Cloud, or Burberry Her.
Hi, just my opinion—I’m not an expert, but I love perfumes. Sometimes it smells synthetic, but with good materials. It smells great, pleasant, and has a generic appeal; at first, you note grapefruit and bergamot, a bit of jasmine and lavender that lingers, blending with sweet tones that aren’t cloying. Ideal for spring and autumn. Lasts 7 to 12 hours on the skin, very soft, and stays on clothes until washed.
A bit disappointing for me. I like the scent and use it, but it wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would smell like lavender macarons like in France, but it smells more like BR540: citrus and lavender with a similar base, though the aromatic touch sets it apart. It’s very sweet and not for everyone from the start. As it dries down, it resembles BR540 and Red Temptation even more. Compared to the latter, Montsouris is more musky and less airy, although their dry-downs are similar. I might prefer Red Temptation. The trail is notable and lasts 9-10 hours on my skin. If you like BR540, it’s a good quality option, but if you’re looking for something novel, it doesn’t feel new to my nose. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 9.5/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 10/10, Versatility 5/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Maybe.
Smells absolutely delicious and is addictive, but it’s noticeable that it doesn’t last long or project much; however, it does linger on clothes. Still, I recommend it.
