A perfume that makes you want to eat it! There’s no denying its inspiration from LVEB or Flowerbomb, but what reminded me most was Pink Sugar Sparks; one could say the latter is its low-cost clone. Luna is a gourmand that can be too cloying for some, but thanks to its moderate projection, it’s easy to wear, even if its longevity is also moderate. And as a bonus, it comes in a little bottle where good taste resides in simplicity.

  • I tried it, but for my taste, it’s too cloying; I’d much rather go with Mademoiselle or the classic Nina.

  • Luna transports me to a magical forest made of pure caramel. It’s delicious—a sweet so strong and serious as cotton candy. It’s truly exquisite and has me hooked on its pure sweetness.

As a toilette, the projection and longevity are within its range: about 2 hours on skin and 6 on clothes, though by the next day it’s barely there. I see this as a fall and winter scent due to its intensity, though I wouldn’t rule it out for summer outings. It’s great for daily wear if you like sweet perfumes. As for age, it suits anyone; for example, it would be perfect for Phoebe from Friends, an adult with a childlike personality. It starts with citrus-fruit notes featuring red fruits, then the citrus fades to let the red fruits and caramel take over, followed by sandalwood and licorice, which dominates the dry down. I’d define it as a great red fruit caramel with pieces of licorice over sandalwood. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys sweet scents with woody notes and a touch of fruit.

  • Exquisite sweetness—sweet but not cloying. It blends beautifully on the skin with caramel notes and a sweet citrus finish. Perfect for fall and winter, day or night, whenever you want…

  • LUNA by Nina Ricci, DELICIOUS! The romance of a woman gazing at the moon inspired the creation of this splendid and relatively new fragrance, launched in 2016. It opens with wild berries, orange blossom, lime, and juicy tangerine, leading to a heart of caramel, jasmine, pear, and that mysterious, exquisite immortelle flower. I felt transported to a garden with a sweet breeze. I was surprised by its dry-down: it seemed simple but turned out unexpectedly complex, with sandalwood, Madagascar vanilla, white musk, and licorice that immersed me in a night of wooden candies, a charming mix. It’s a beautiful and tender perfume with a moderate trail; it lasts 6 hours on my skin. I like it for nights any season, for staying home or casual outings with friends and family, comfortable enough for the theater or dinner. This delicious juice comes in a gorgeous blue bottle that evokes the sky, inspired by the cheerful, feminine, romantic, and enigmatic woman. It’s staying in my collection! 💙

Luna, I love it! It’s so youthful, love it! It’s a little sweet caramel with red fruits and a slight tartness from the lime. I’d definitely buy it again! It’s my favorite of the three. This one lasts longer than the Nina one, and I don’t even want to talk about the terrible one from Bella.

Maybe it’s my chemistry, but I get a bitter note from the licorice and sandalwood blend right from the start; I can’t handle it. I have to wait an hour to feel the caramel a bit, and it’s not pleasant for me.

  • I’d say it’s the light version of Poison Girl—less cloying, a bit fresher, with an apple touch. I like it, but I bought it because people said the citrus notes would stand out, and they don’t on me at all; in fact, I don’t smell any citrus. It fades very quickly and the trail is quite light.

I see Luna as more of a winter or night scent because it can be overwhelming. I’m not usually a fan of sweet perfumes, but this doesn’t bother me. It’s sweet but not cloying. Personally, I don’t find it special. It’s a vanilla oriental that smells like powdered candy with subtle sandalwood, vanilla, and licorice.

  • I love it! It reminds me of Lolita Land with that super sweet opening, but over time the sweetness fades into a very pleasant aroma. I want it!

  • It brings back memories of the discontinued L by Lolita Lempicka. It’s caramel, more fruit, more caramel, and sugary cotton candy. Exquisitely gourmand.

People compare it to Black Opium Nuit Blanche, and it does share that white floral base of heliotrope and carnation that gives it a mature feel. It opens with a playful note mix and settles on immortelle, followed by hints of coconut or cookie that remind me of Mia Mine. Then come purple notes and a gourmand dry-down, but not a cute candy kind—more formal and mature, which my nose loves since my collection is all dessert-like scents. It features tonka bean and toasted almond, smelling like creamy coffee with milk but with tonka bean. I’d buy it just to remember Nuit Blanche; it’s my favorite from this floral line right now. I’ll keep wearing it… <33 Edit: I tried another similar one, Girl of Now, and stuck with this because it has fewer flowers but keeps that purple note.

  • I absolutely loved it! My dad gifted it to me because my cat is named Luna, and he nailed it—sweet but not overpowering. It starts citrusy, then hits with a powerful sweetness that drives me crazy, especially that vanilla note, which is my favorite part. Later, the woods add depth and a sensual vibe, perfect for autumn or night. The sweetness keeps it youthful without being childish. My only complaint is it doesn’t last long and I’d love more longevity, but for lovers of vanilla and oriental scents, it’s a 10. It’s become one of my go-to favorites that never disappoint.

  • Elizabethshelby

The opening is strong and acidic, but then it settles on the skin: the caramel becomes warm and spiced with licorice, with sandalwood in the base. It’s sweet and youthful, but not childish; it feels mysterious and magical. What a delight! The bottle is gorgeous. Ideal for cold weather; it wraps around you and warms you up. Edit: I’m still testing it, sometimes it smells like wild berry feet with something citrusy. I’m not sure if it’s the periwinkle or the licorice; sometimes it has a masculine touch that disappears when the caramel takes over.

  • What can I say about Luna? I’ve never been a fan of Nina Ricci, but this one is interesting. At first, it smells citrusy and oxidized, but then it becomes pleasant. It’s rich, sweet, and soft, with an air of La Vie Est Belle but less potent. It’s not my favorite, but I like using it occasionally; others usually like it, and it puts me in a good mood. I’d repurchase only if it’s on sale.

  • tacmakeup

It smells super similar to La Vie Est Belle, but without its longevity or sillage. I think it’s a more affordable option since LEB is so saturated. I also sensed similarities to Black Opium.

  • Beautiful for a special night. Although the notes are very similar to Donna Karán Nèctar Love, this one is for night and the DKNL is for day. On my skin, it lasts several hours and is very lovely.

  • Luna here, Luna there: a little apple bathed in celestial light, sweet and subtle. An orange moon over a lake of oranges, caramel, and sandalwood. A white moon of orange blossom, jasmine, pear, and musk over a field of vanillas. A juice of celestial blue light in a loving fragrance to share.

  • I was gifted this. It’s pleasant, but I wouldn’t buy it myself. I don’t smell the vanilla; it’s not gourmand or sweet to me. On my skin, it feels powdery and soft, without lasting long. So far, I haven’t gotten along with this brand.

  • I got this as a gift, but it’s not my style. On skin and paper, it smells like rancid orange with a kitchen-style vanilla. It feels too youthful; I prefer Boum Candy Land, which is cheaper, lasts just as long, and I like it better. I’ll keep Luna to gift later; I feel bad seeing it go to waste.

  • Caramelized wild berries in liquid form. At first, those fruits give a tart touch that later turns into pure caramel—zero cloying sweetness and very delicious. I love it, especially for the longevity: it lasted about 8 hours on my skin.

  • debcalvella

I was gifted this, but I wouldn’t repurchase it. It smells sweet but very powdery; I don’t detect any caramel. It just smells like a pharmacy to me.

  • Frambuesas

Finally, I’ve found a gourmand that isn’t suffocating! Although I love a perfume with a delicious aroma, gourmands tend to be suffocating and cloying in the infernal tropical heat of the island where I live. Luna is a soft gourmand. It’s delicious and I don’t feel like suffocating a minute after applying it. My nose catches the caramel, licorice, vanilla, and the bittersweet aroma of wild berries. Luna is certainly seductive with an ‘adult’ touch. Nothing like the shouty sweetness of Nina and Bella is found in Luna. Sweet but not too sweet, Luna is an option suitable for those who want a mono and gourmand perfume to use during hot seasons.

  • Pame.Betsabe

This is my first Nina Ricci fragrance. I barely tried it and felt a bit of lime and orange with a boozy touch. After a few minutes, its sweet notes began to emerge: very pleasant caramel and licorice. The downside for me is its sillage and longevity, which are very poor. It doesn’t last more than an hour and doesn’t stay on clothes either. I’m a fan of gourmand fragrances and I don’t think this is one; it lacks potency. It’s a wearable fragrance where I’d use it in cold weather. It was a blind buy; although I like it, I would like it to have better performance. 😘🇦🇷

They gave me this perfume and the scent is very rich, but I find it very cloying. I have sensitive and reactive skin, and every time I used it, my face would get irritated by the aroma. Still, I’ve had sweeter perfumes, but you need to keep in mind before buying it if you have skin prone to rosacea or reactivity.

What a poetic name and how daring to use it on such a modern and simple fragrance. I’m not saying it’s bad or ugly, I just feel they gave it a name too grand for what it is. The moon is the closest natural satellite to Earth, and some theorize it formed about four and a half billion years ago after the collision of a proto-planet called Theia. For me, Luna doesn’t reflect that nor the mysticism it has represented for humanity over millennia. Let’s not even talk about the relationship with death that Egyptians and Japanese attributed to it, or with Greek women, or Roman witchcraft; those are just examples of Eurasian peoples we have records of. None of that comes through in this perfume. The scent opens, for just a few seconds, with a terribly oxidized citrus smell, but soon turns into an explosion of well-done wild berries (natural, nothing shouty) that give it a cold, almost icy character, along with a soft lime and orange. In the heart, you can detect a sugary orange blossom, similar to Black Opium but less intense, and a withered flower that died in a vase full of water. Jasmine, periwinkle, and caramel also make an appearance, giving it an almost gourmand touch. I really like the base; reading the notes it seems generic, but it turns out to be warm and relaxing, moving away from clunky patchoulis to replace them with a creamy, calm sandalwood that gives it strength and prevents the caramel from becoming sticky. I highlight the use of periwinkle, which makes Luna something different within gourmand fragrances, just like those icy berries with the caramel, sandalwood, and vanilla, very cozy notes. All this creates an interesting contrast with other fragrances. That’s why, and despite the similarities to cloying perfumes for teenagers or young adults who want to smell like pastries, and considering its price, I recommend it as a gift or first perfume for a young girl (or an older woman, I’m no one to put an age on anyone). It’s better than using LVEB or Black Opium, which are already overused and bore me as much as ignoring the steps of drunk English or German people at 3 AM in the hallway or the moans and banging of the bedroom couple next door in a hotel. Presentation: 9/10 (I like the blue apple bottle; in fact, I bought it because it reminded me of Erin Morgenstern’s ‘The Night Circus’, anyone who has read it will understand why, though I’ll warn you that when I opened the box I found a broken atomizer leaf; in the end, the perfumery made the exchange without issue). Longevity: 6/10 (it lasts about 4 or 5 hours for me, same as several people who have it, even though it’s an eau de toilette). Sillage: 6/10 (close to the user without being intimate or imperceptible). Originality: 5/10 (the wild berries and periwinkle make it different). Versatility: 7/10 (I wouldn’t use it in hot climates, but the cold touch of the berries allows it not to be exclusive to cold weather). Season: autumn or winter for me, but if it’s someone’s signature scent, I don’t think they’d have to leave it for spring or summer thanks to the berries, periwinkle, lime, and orange. Personal taste: 6/10. Would I buy it again?: I don’t think so, it didn’t captivate me enough to spend my money on it; although if they gave it to me, I’d happily use it again.

  • VioletRoses

They gave it to me when I turned 20, I’m 26 now, and the bottle is still almost full; I’ve barely used it because it smells very dusty and mature. I don’t think it’s ugly, but it is very heavy and only for very specific occasions. It feels like it’s for an older woman at a nighttime gala, so unless I want to feel very elegant and sophisticated, like ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, I don’t use it. I don’t know why people say it smells like caramel and fruit; I don’t smell anything like that. I only catch a hint of flowers after half an hour, but what dominates is the wood and musk. I think it adheres better to clothes than skin. A very serious scent for my taste, but perfect for those looking for something elegant, refined, and mature.

  • Jess Jiménez

Luna, it’s blue and called Luna, so that’s why I bought it. It’s sweet and boozy, sometimes with a powdery touch. It’s nocturnal, sober, and a bit dark, with a lot of personality without being overwhelming. The downside is that, in my opinion, it doesn’t last long, about 4 hours at most. EDIT: A few days ago I used it and oh surprise! It lasted all day. What a wonder, from morning until night; when I showered, I was enveloped in that vapor with scents of orange blossom, caramel, and licorice, how enchanting. Luna is feminine and elegant, a delight.

  • They gave it to me and I barely tried it before thinking it wasn’t for me, since I prefer sharper scents, but I grew to like it. As soon as you put it on, it’s like a slap, hard to describe; it smells cold, strong, and dark. After a while, it settles and vanilla emerges, with a lot of sweet caramel aroma. Ideal for those who prefer well-sweet perfumes that aren’t floral. As for me, I’ll use it again another winter, as I think it’s more of that season.

  • At first, it smells citrusy and sweet, more sophisticated than its price suggests. I like the blend of citrus with orange blossom and jasmine; I wore it during the day and it filled the room with a very potent trail. Others found it too patchouli-heavy. I didn’t notice it at first, but later I realized that note was quite sharp and I stopped liking it. Even with a small amount, I felt a sting in my nose.

  • I bought a sample with another perfume and, honestly, it never really worked for me. It smells heavy and synthetic, I think it would only suit teenagers. If you’re not very picky, it might seem okay on its own, but it’s just not my style.
