Bonbon by Viktor&Rolf

One of the richest scents I’ve ever tried, but it disappears in a heartbeat 😩.

At first it’s pure caramel, then the peach comes out, and over time it becomes the sweetest and most exquisite. I get tons of compliments from men and women. It lingers in my wake, though on the skin it fades after 5 hours. Nothing like Fantasy.

The scent and bottle are cute, but it lasts less than a VS body splash. Not worth the cost. From V&R I prefer Flowerbomb or Tiger Lily.

It’s my signature scent, I already had two bottles and I’m hunting for the last one because they discontinued it and I don’t understand why, it’s SO special. They say it’s like Britney’s Fantasy, absolutely not! I own that one too and I don’t like it. It doesn’t last long, but I love its DNA; if you like very sweet perfumes with a citrus twist, you’ll love it.

Smells like caramel water and a bit of amber. They say men like it, I don’t get why. It’s a sweet scent but nothing more.

It’s a Fantasy dupe with super luxurious packaging. The box is incredible, well-protected, and the bottle is gorgeous. In dry-down, it’s 98% identical to Fantasy. Smells great; starts with peach and caramel, then shifts to an ambered Fantasy. Lasts 5 hours on my skin with good projection and another 3 hours close to the skin. Worth it for the packaging and scent, even if it’s nothing new or different.

Oh my god, the headache it gave me. I got a decant because I was dying to try it. Oh no, no. I don’t know if it’s the peach with caramel or what, but I feel a sharp, piercing note behind my nose that’s killing me. Happens to me with LVEB too.

I don’t like the opening; to me, it smells like burnt caramel, but when it dries down, it’s a whole different story 😍

I hadn’t reviewed it. I bought it last year thinking it was a winter scent, but I always avoided gourmands because they’re unbearable for me and give me headaches. I decided to try this and was amazed: it’s extremely elegant and well-made. Opens with a soft, caramelized citrus before moving to something more mature. It’s a scent you want to wear all day, warm, comforting when it’s cold, sweet but in just the right measure. Good trail and excellent longevity; lasted about 8 hours close to the skin and on clothes until the next day. I use it moderately, spraying the air and passing through the breeze, because it’s exquisite and I don’t want to overwhelm.

One of my favorites, super feminine. With Bonbon, I’ve received so many compliments from both men and women. On my skin, it opens fruity with sweet mandarin, then settles into delicious vanilla and caramel. Perfect for fall and winter, and quite usable for late afternoon/evening in spring. The longevity isn’t the best, but I don’t mind reapplying a couple of sprays to extend the effect. For me, it’s a very balanced gourmand and the best from V&R.

Amazing scent, but the price feels ridiculous given how little it lasts and projects. It feels like we’re paying more for the bow-shaped bottle than for the liquid inside.

Totally a gourmand; personally, I don’t usually like them, but with this one, the story changes. You can tell the quality; it’s not cloying and lasts quite a while, at least until the next day on clothes. The opening highlights peach and a bit of citrus, giving a sparkling sweet balance. Over time, the caramel rises with white flowers, making it more sophisticated, though the flowers aren’t the main focus, they just add that extra touch. Finally, the caramel blends with woods and sandalwood, resulting in an exquisite, very real milk chocolate scent, nothing synthetic. The quality adds sophistication. You can tell when a perfume is expensive; this isn’t extremely pricey but costs quite a bit compared to others, and in my opinion, it’s worth it. While it doesn’t offer anything new, if you want a balanced gourmand with excellent longevity, this is your perfume. Totally feminine, it feels like a perfume for a classy young woman. I’ve worn it in summer and it doesn’t suffocate, but it would be perfect for fall/winter.

The best V&R I’ve tried, though I thought it would be creamier; it’s very Juicy Couture with a touch of talc that gives it another dimension. The scent is rich, you don’t smell what you pay for; it’s like Juicy Couture with better longevity. Very rich, I won’t deny it. If you’re going for the price expecting the 7 Flowers, no, it’s not new either, but it’s very rich. It reminds me a lot of Poison Girl but without the spice or plastic notes, instead a talc. Think about getting both. It’s a sweet peach jam with talc; visualize opening the bottle and getting that typical jam peach smell, plus the talc of a marshmallow and musk. Good sillage, super sweet. Edit: I fell in love and bought it. I hesitated a lot because I have Poison Girl, which is also orange and sweet, but I was tired of its bitter orange. I think this Bonbon leans a bit more toward summer, at least at night, and the sillage smells so good I couldn’t resist. I went home regretting the expense, but opening it… so delicious! So glad I bought it. Very pretty, just for the sweet ones: warning, during use I felt things I don’t know where from. At one point I felt something dark, like wearing L’Interdit Intense, then it faded and Bonbon’s innocence returned. Then I felt red berries very present, I thought someone else was wearing perfume and even asked, haha, and no, it was my Bonbon. That still puzzles me; it seems simple but isn’t as simple as their notes claim. It also reminded me of Flowerbomb Nectar for the same characteristic sweetness, a sparkling sweetness that appears and disappears. On one hand the caramel gets tiring, but on the other the little peach relieves and refreshes, giving it context as a product. It’s like a modern Poison Girl, not spicy, works the same but with different notes.

A charming and somewhat sensual gourmand fragrance. Its opening reminds me of candied orange peel, sugary and intense; the caramel is always present in the background. I think the most notable part is the dry-down, where the caramel and woods take center stage, giving a warm and creamy sensation. Its longevity is excellent, about 6-7 hours with a quite noticeable but not overwhelming sillage. Although Viktor&Rolf fragrances are a bit pricey, I consider them worth every penny, and this is no exception.

Starts with sweet mandarin and peach, followed by a creamy, almost balsamic toffee caramel. The trail isn’t wide, but it’s noticeable in the air; it gives me warmth and calm, with nothing synthetic. I love it, though I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase since I already have similar ones on my list.
