  • Caramel, coffee, and vanilla; the rest is just decoration, as Moria Casan would say. It’s one of the warmest perfumes I know, ideal for winter and for anyone wanting that caramelized, sweet aroma with a coffee touch. Tremendous longevity and projection, so it can be overwhelming on hot days. It’s very particular, in the line of YSL Opium, and is special if you’re a smoker looking for a scent with performance. Do not buy blindly.

I tried it, and it wasn’t what I expected; I found it simple and synthetic. I want to think they made a mistake and showed me the One, because it was a tester freshly taken out of the box, and I only saw the black cap. Anyway, I didn’t smell any coffee or caramel right after applying it, just synthetic flowers :(. Later in the afternoon, I smelled a faint caramel, but very close to the skin. I’m going to order a decant to try it again because I’m not convinced my nose smells things so differently from the majority. I’ll try it calmly to give a more informed opinion.

After trying it several times, I want to write this review: I like it a lot, but it lasts very little on my skin, which is why I’m not daring to buy it. At first, it smells like sweetened coffee, but over time the coffee note disappears, leaving a floral-sweet aroma where the rose stands out (I barely perceive the violet or the citrus). In the dry down, it settles into vanilla with the flowers, and I sense a slight similarity to D&G Pour Femme.

  • anamaestracorreo

I wish it lasted longer and projected more because it’s delicious. D&G creates original scents, but they fall short in every way compared to their price. You’re hardly going to get dizzy with a D&G. With any of them, I put on at least 9 sprays.

I LIKE IT BUT IT FEELS BASIC. I like it, but the caramel note stands out and doesn’t fully convince me. It overwhelms and feels extremely synthetic; I don’t feel like myself. It’s one of those scents that everyone likes at first sniff. I’m looking for a passionate night fragrance, and I don’t feel that vibe; it feels generic, easy, and basic. Performance on skin: it lasted a short time, I put it on in the afternoon, and by night it was gone.

It’s mind-blowing. I bought it blindly and loved it. If Lali smells like this… I LOVE YOU, LALI. Sweet, warm, ideal for hugging. Violets, vanilla, caramel, and coffee. I’m ecstatic. EDIT: I bought LVEB L’Eau Florale and found them to be very similar. They share notes: bergamot in the opening, orange blossom and roses in the heart, and patchouli in the dry down. The Only One has violets in the opening and LVEB Florale in the heart. The Only One has iris in the heart, while LVEB Florale has it in the opening. I prefer TOO for the coffee and caramel notes.

I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t like it, haha. It’s a perfect fragrance, super sweet with vanilla, caramel, and coffee, but with that clean touch of violets and iris. For me, it’s in the top 3, though it’s very personal; many think it’s strong and can’t tolerate it, but for me, it’s a sharp sweet scent that drives me crazy 😍.

I tried it months ago at a department store without expecting much, and I can’t believe how much I loved it. It’s a delicious scent: caramel, incredibly present coffee, like a super sweet milk coffee accompanied by a sprig of violets. I don’t understand why it doesn’t have more hype or why it ruins the overrated Black Opium, from which I don’t smell a gram of coffee ☕️. This is what BO should be. However, due to its poor longevity and projection, I hope to buy it on a good deal, preferably the set with the miniature and 10 ml vial.

  • I tried it in a decant, and while it’s pretty, it doesn’t say much. It’s sweet, with barely any coffee detectable. It feels like a diluted Black Opium. It has poor longevity and projection; on skin, it settles into a common caramel-vanilla vibe. I found it a bit synthetic. I wouldn’t buy it.

  • karugervazoni

I bought it because of the reviews praising the dulce de leche cappuccino, and I feel ripped off, lol. I suspect a reformulation (batch 2022) because I don’t smell coffee, vanilla, or caramel. On skin, it’s soft, synthetic, and sweet without being cloying, barely floral, and super powdery. I can’t distinguish the notes, though I’d say it smells like iris, violet, and a hint of vanilla. It’s very soft; even with 10 sprays, it leaves no trail (maybe the first 30 minutes) and doesn’t last long. Better on clothes than skin. To sum up: I like it, it’s not ugly, but it’s a ‘meh’. I expected more for the price and that promised cappuccino. At the very least, it should have good sillage and longevity. If I had tried it first, I wouldn’t have bought it blindly.

  • Ojos Claros

Violet, coffee, caramel, and vanilla. Intense, addictive, and sensual. My next number one on the list of night perfumes. The perfect spot between Montale’s Intense Café and Black Opium.

  • aromática_inexperta91

Exquisite, with a powdery touch that adds elegance. Very seductive, a classic that wins hearts. You can detect caramel and coffee, quite sweet, and on me, it has amazing longevity. I recommend it for any age.

  • Here comes its fan friend, the trendsetter strawberry lover. I have the original and the trendy version; they’re 99% similar, with no obvious differences, but this one is an absolute delight. It starts with a fruity floral vibe, featuring an incredibly sweet pear, while you also sense orange and violet, but mainly it’s like smelling a sweet, citrusy pear thanks to the orange and violet in the background—a perfect balance between floral and fruity. WARNING: about 20 minutes in, it smells exactly like Tropical Flor by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. It’s obvious because both have pear, bergamot, and patchouli, but the resemblance is incredible. In its dry-down, it finishes with patchouli and woody notes, becoming a woody pear with patchouli and a very faint, barely perceptible vanilla. Personally, I never detected the coffee. I don’t know what’s up with those who say it smells like coffee; I even had my mother smell it, and she said yes, but I didn’t perceive it. I tried to detect it in the dry-down, but couldn’t. As an amber-vanilla family lover, I rate the longevity and sillage an 8/10, since the sillage is wide and lasts 4 to 6 hours on the skin and all day on clothes. A sweet, fruity, elegant perfume, ideal for dates, quite versatile for both day and night, but perfect for seduction and cold weather, though I also see it in warm climates.

  • Let me say it leaves much to be desired. Opening: you can smell the violet. Heart: yes, coffee, iris, and orange blossom; the pear goes unnoticed. Base: yes, that rich little caramel with vanilla. The packaging is lovely and elegant. What’s the deal? I have the original and feel you can get something better for the price. I’ve tried different application techniques, but it lasts nothing, has no sillage, stays very close to the skin, and needs frequent reapplication. In the end, it’s a flat perfume lacking personality.

  • A beautiful perfume. I imagine it as the scent of the islands in shopping malls—intense and precious, but with a powdery touch. After hours on the skin, it reminds me a lot of Olympéa Blossom, just drier and more powdery (likely due to the shared pear and vanilla notes, though I’ve always loved how Olympéa smells like expensive makeup to me). Ideal for cold daytime climates, but more enjoyable at night. The sillage and longevity are fascinating. Despite being sweet, it’s not cloying, and over time, you notice other elements, like coffee or caramel (honestly, I don’t detect the orange blossom). It doesn’t smell like Black Opium (this one feels sweeter with more coffee than The Only One), but it fits that cold-weather theme. Brutal longevity, about 6 hours of sillage, over 12 hours close to the skin, and on clothes, it lasts several days as if just applied.

  • Coffee takes the lead in a fragrance that’s unobtrusive yet addictive. Excellent combination of notes. It leaves no sillage and lasts about 3 hours on the skin. It’s too rich but fades very quickly.

  • Lagioianena91

Caramelized violet with vanilla. The vanilla doesn’t overpower; the caramel comes in waves, and the violet is noticeable on clothes. It’s like if Halloween and Black Opium had an illegitimate child: they’re not the same, but they share that vibe, just sweeter. It’s the sweet version of Halloween, packed with caramel. I think it’s unique—I don’t see it as a copy of anything. Any woman would love it; it’s the perfect gift. No one ever said they didn’t like it. It’s always a hit and has great presence.

  • anamaestracorreo

It’s the Black Opium from D&G. They’re not the same; each interprets the vanilla-coffee blend in its own way. Maybe the YSL version is lighter than the D&G one. I’m torn between the two. In Black Opium, the coffee stands out more, while in Only, it’s the caramel. Both are magnificent.

  • It has nothing to do with Black Opium. I tested it among many, found it sweet and caramelized, so I bought it. I guess it wasn’t a good idea to mix it with other perfumes. Plus, bad luck—it came with a factory date over 4 years old. It doesn’t react well with my skin; instead, it irritates me and smells like nail acetone. At first, I thought it was elegant and sweet, now I hate it. The longevity and sillage are low; I expected more. Verdict: disaster.

  • Bought it blindly and initially thought I’d made a mistake—it smelled like cough syrup at first. But I gave it a second chance and it completely won me over. The projection is weak, but on the skin, it’s delightful: balanced vanilla and coffee with violet, and that touch of caramel and patchouli makes it perfect. I’m head over heels; it just needs to last longer, maybe around 5 hours at most.

  • Very seductive perfume. Pity that the sillage doesn’t project and the longevity on skin is scarce. It stays fixed on hair and clothes much longer. I’m keeping it open because I read that it concentrates the essences and supposedly projects more.

  • DianaL84

It doesn’t work on me. I bought it because they said it smelled like ‘having a caramel coffee next to a bouquet of flowers’. Since I like florals, this seems very dense to me; the floral opening is eternal and bothers me. The coffee (an unsweetened coffee) takes forever to appear; by the time it’s just the spirit of the perfume left. On me, it had good longevity and sillage, but it develops poorly. You have to try it first. By itself, for me, it’s a NO. Scent 3/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10.

  • Sofigm594

Just tried it. Amor Amor by Cacharel and Far Away by Avon immediately came to mind. It has something oriental, ambered, talcum-like, and slightly sweet; it doesn’t cloy if applied in the right dose. Ideal for night in cold weather. I must highlight its projection: it lingers in the room and grabs attention, although personally I wouldn’t buy it.

  • cherrylady

What a mess I’m in testing this collection? Going in order. First, I tried this. The opening didn’t convince me; maybe the coffee with floral notes made me feel it was too much. Black Opium isn’t my thing because the coffee comes off too strong, and although I love coffee, I don’t think this resembles it. The interesting part is the dry down: caramel, vanilla, and patchouli, a definite yes for me. As a gourmand lover, that caramel and vanilla don’t go unnoticed. After long hours and the next day, when I smelled it again, I was hypnotized: a sweet, rich, feminine little caramel. On my skin, it lasted many hours; I applied it one afternoon and it lasted until noon the next day. Then I loved it. The base is perfect; it’s what I was looking for. Then I tried Only One Intense and the opposite happened: I fell in love with the coconut at first, but it faded quickly. Over time, the wood took over, leaving a dry, non-sweet base. Plus, it didn’t last as long as this. I was in a dilemma: if it’s for vice and that rich coconut, I’d buy both, but if I have to choose one, I’ll stick with this; in the long run, this wins. I still need to try Only One 2, but I don’t know why I can’t find it in Argentina; I saw it once without a tester, and online it’s excessively expensive.

  • MelaineCelis9

It was a gift and I’ve worn it for 2 years. I didn’t like it much; I feel it’s too strong for my nose and palate, quite sweet and mature. However, the sillage isn’t strong: I smell it when I apply it, but people don’t notice unless they hug me. I recommend wearing it only at night or in cold weather.

  • I was a fan of Black Opium and had high expectations (I bought a decant). I don’t love it: the caramel dominates with a bit of coffee, and the florals are subtle. Ideal for cold weather, versatile. Nothing to do with Black Opium. I prefer BO. If you like gourmands, you might prefer The Only One, because as it dries, it’s pure caramel. Moderate but noticeable sillage, lasts 8 hours on my skin. Not beastly but it’s okay. Could be bought blind, but the scent didn’t hook me; it doesn’t seem original enough, so I won’t add it to my collection.

  • Anjellychee

If you ask me what’s ‘sexy’ or ‘sensual’, I’d say this one. Not in a sexual sense, but it gives off an air of a confident, charismatic, and personality-driven woman. I save it for special occasions: formal or semi-formal evening events, with a long dress and heels. It’s sweet, floral, with the caramel softened by the flowers and vanilla, plus a citrus whisper of orange. Fresh (not cold), long-lasting (I can still smell it on my skin after 8 hours), and with good projection at the start. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. A good blind buy and an excellent gift, though since it’s a known scent, I suggest trying it first.

  • PerfumeurAmateur

So delicious! What a pleasant surprise; although they say it doesn’t last, it lasted all day on me. The caramel isn’t overpowering; it’s just right. Very fruity, with vibes reminiscent of Moschino Gold and hints of Armani SI Passione. As it dries, it becomes deliciously sweet and soft. You can definitely feel the soft violet and iris; everything is well-blended. Sweet but not sugary, very wearable. Every time I smell it, a thousand notes come to mind. Good buy; if it doesn’t last long, it’s worth reapplying. It doesn’t resemble Black Opium, because if it were just about the vanilla, every perfume would smell like it.

  • Oh my god, it’s simply perfect. It opens with a sweet and sour orange that transitions into a creamy milk coffee, accompanied by powdery iris that adds sophistication. Soft in the dry down, sweet but not cloying. Exquisite.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

Smells like Guerlain’s Insolence to me, probably due to the violet and iris. The link with coffee, caramel, and vanilla is perfect: it’s sweet, elegant, and warm. Both comforting and sexy at the same time, a real delight.

  • A super lovely perfume. The first thing I perceive is powdery caramel with a touch of coffee; this fades after five minutes, leaving the powdery note with lots of violet and a bit of vanilla. It’s sweet and lovely, lasts about 6 hours, and has medium sillage. I would definitely buy it again since, as others have commented, it’s an elegant sweet scent.

  • If there were a way to review this perfume, it would be like being in a super fancy coffee shop, sipping a cappuccino with lots of cream, with the whole cafe decorated with white flower bouquets that smell super creamy, maybe something like freesia; that’s what this perfume makes me feel. It’s a beauty, I love it.

  • I’m a man and I have to admit that while the perfume has a fairly feminine opening, after a few minutes, it settles into a soft sweet/floral/caramelized scent that is totally unisex. Recommended.

  • Andrea perfumona

Patchouli and iris. If I didn’t know which bottle it came from, I’d first think it’s some lost flanker of Vie Es Belle. It’s not equal to any I know, but it does remind me of the vibe of that line, which I own several of. Lovely, but I expected a softer version of the Intense I have, and it seems magical, or perhaps something with the Black Opium vibe, which also didn’t seem right. I’m glad I tried it because it was on my wishlist for a long time, and I almost bought it blind a few times, and I think it wouldn’t have been a great addition to my collection since I already have several that fill that role.

  • juliaguilera

It’s a good perfume but doesn’t smell like coffee. Only in the opening and for a very short time; afterwards, it reminds me of the Burberry Goddess opening. Now, the next thing is that I just had bad luck; I tried this perfume twice, and neither time did it last on my skin.

  • kota_khaleesi

I love this perfume; for me, it’s the perfect blend of fresh floral violet and warm spicy coffee. It doesn’t smell like Black Opium; this one is more delicate, less sweet, and less gourmand. It’s warm and cozy. I like wearing it during the day, in autumn and winter. At night, I feel it doesn’t project or leave much of a trail, though I have received compliments. It smells great on my skin and clothes. It’s soft, perfect for day and office. Moderate longevity but poor sillage, which is the sad part for such a lovely scent. It doesn’t bother anyone. Would I buy it again when I run out? I think so.

  • Very sweet fragrance; it gets cloying if you apply too much, which is an issue if you like good projection. It doesn’t last long on the skin. If you like sweet scents, it’s no problem that it’s marketed as feminine.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

The Only One is sweet, citrusy, floral, and a bit powdery. The citrus, flowers, pear, and caramel are very noticeable; the coffee has nothing to do with Black Opium. It’s sweet but calm, ideal for daytime because it’s not cloying and doesn’t have a strong sillage. It’s lovely, but when I run out, I won’t buy it again: between The Only One and Black Opium, I’d choose Black Opium a thousand times; it’s sweeter and longer-lasting. Perfect for blind buys. Scent 8/10, longevity 8/10, sillage 6/10, value for money 6/10, versatility 10/10, packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? No.

  • I’ve never been disappointed by this perfume; it’s still magic since day one: a caramel and coffee opening with a gorgeous vanilla base. It will be my favorite forever, simply spectacular.
