Perfumes de Domitille Michalon Bertier

Domitille Michalon Bertier is a highly qualified senior perfumer at IFF, with more than two decades of experience in the fragrance industry. She received her perfumery training at the renowned ISIPCA School of Perfumeries and joined IFF as an apprentice in 1994. She steadily progressed through the ranks and was promoted to Senior Perfumist in 2007.

Throughout her career, Domitille has worked with numerous prestigious brands, such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Dior, Lancôme, Marc Jacobs, Viktor&Rolf and many more. Some of her most famous creations are Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb, Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight in Paris and Marc Jacobs Perfect.

Domitille draws inspiration from a variety of sources, such as cooking, art, travel and reading. She is known for transcribing words, inspirations and memories into perfumes, associating ideas and using her library of notes and accords that she has created and preserved. Domitille is interested in working with natural ingredients and continually explores new ingredients to enrich her palette.

When asked about her favorite scent, Domitille mentioned the smell of iris concrete and expressed her desire to work with a natural absolute of popcorn. She also shared an original pairing of Timur pepper and vetiver.

Domitille is Vice President of Perfumery at IFF, and is recognized for her intuition, passion, perseverance, and her abilities in fragrances and creativity. She graduated from ISIPCA in 1992-1994, and was part of the YSL class.
