Descripción
Alien Hypersense by Mugler is a women's fragrance from the olfactive family. Launched in 2024, this olfactive composition was created by Dominique Ropion. In its top notes, pear and green mandarin unfold an immediate freshness; the heart reveals the delicacy of sambac jasmine and Indian jasmine; while the base settles on a warm and enveloping combination of cashmere, musk, Amberwood, and driftwood.

I tried it yesterday and here’s my take: I detected its potent jasmine, which is stronger than in its sister, Alien EDP. It’s an interesting woody white floral that flirts with a fruity and striking opening. However, its drydown is bright, thanks to the mandarin and a touch of sweet pear. As it settles, it resembles the Alien EDP more. The longevity is quite good: about 7-8 hours on skin and much longer on fabric. The bottle is gorgeous 🩷, you must have this talisman in your collection.
Alien, Alien, Alien… what did they do to you? It starts with a typical modern perfumery sweet pear note, giving way to a classic but super-decaffeinated jasmine over a cashmere base that’s less amber-heavy than the original. It’s a shame because, just for the bottle, I would have loved it. Don’t get me wrong… does it smell good? Absolutely. But I feel it adds nothing new; quite the opposite, it just takes something away from the original. In short: in my opinion, a version that’s muuuuuch like Alien but sweeter and more innocent. If you like this scent, just buy the original.
It’s the fruity Alien EDP, nothing more to add.
I love it! It’s Alien with a tropical twist—super cheerful and summery. I adore its older sister, but I don’t compare them; Alien is Alien, and this is Alien Hypersense. Each one in its own league. This one is more youthful, fruity, and fresh—a real wonder. I want it now.
I love it! It’s Alien on steroids. It feels super cheerful and summery. Addendum: I’m obsessed with its older sister, but I don’t compare them. Alien is Alien, and this is Alien Hypersense. Each in its own league. This one is perhaps more youthful, fruity, and fresh; but in itself, it’s a masterpiece. I want it NOW.
Smells way better than the original Goddess and Intense; it’s much more summery and incredible.
It fades away like a shooting star, but without any sparkle. What a disappointment, considering how beautiful the bottle is and how much I love the original Alien.
An option for those who can’t handle the regular Alien. It smells very similar but is a light/fresh version. I don’t think it’s worth it for me.
On my skin, it fades like a shooting star… but without the sparkle. What a letdown, especially with how beautiful the bottle is and how much I love the classic Alien.
I bought it because they said it was the fruity version of Alien. I have to say I don’t feel it’s that fruity, but it is much softer than Alien (I had it and sold it; too much jasmine for my taste). I liked this version much more; it makes it more wearable. However, it’s very similar, so if you already have Alien, I don’t think it’s worth buying this.
It’s the lightest and sweetest version of the classic Alien. I find it lovely, but since I already own the original, having both feels pretty redundant.
A sigh… It’s so, so similar to the classic Alien, just with a weaker sillage and much shorter longevity. You can still catch that soft pear note in the distance, and it’s exquisite, but if you like Alien, just buy the original straight up. Two months later, even with days of heat, its longevity has improved. Still, I’m sticking with the classic Alien 💜

It’s the lightest and sweetest version of the classic Alien. I think it’s cute, but with the classic in hand, owning both is quite redundant.
DE-LI-RAN-TE: Opens with vanilla, powdery, then when it hits the heart, the classic Alien begins to emerge, but I can feel it differently at the same time. It feels juicy with pear and a tiny sparkling touch of tangerine. To me, it has a hint of Libre but is muuuuch superior—younger and more modern. It’s like a child of Poison Girl’s Libre and the original Libre in an extremely upgraded version. I don’t know what draws me to it from Poison Girl; I’d think it’s not the scent itself but a feeling, the addictive quality, I’m not sure, but it’s a beauty for projecting well. In principle, I see it as quite versatile, perhaps too much considering its price. It’s true it has a hint of Zara’s VB, though not comparable, but there’s a soapy nuance where they resemble each other, whereas the other is so synthetic it suffocates even when soft. To sum up: hypnotic, just as its second name suggests, and less Alien since it has an easy opening without that minty Mugler vibe that results in a very difficult experience on my nose.
I was given a sample as a gift, not for me. Very soft, poor longevity, and that woody base from the Alien line, which personally, I’m not attracted to.
Smells like expensive soap, very rich, perfect to give to an adult woman.
A bit sweeter and cleaner, soapy, than the original, but 95% the same. I already own the EDP, so this isn’t worth it for me.
Better than Alien or Angel? I didn’t even want to smell it because the sales associate thought I had said that, but wow, I truly don’t regret that mistake. I feel like life was putting it right in front of my face. I would definitely buy it.

Alien Hypersense. I tested it a few months ago but had forgotten about it until yesterday when I saw a bottle in a store and smelled it again. The opening is very similar to the original; that characteristic jasmine is very noticeable, but it’s not as intense as in the EDP—it’s fresher and softer. Then it transitions to a woodier, sweeter phase with a vanilla dry-down. Considering that Alien lasts forever and is a heavy scent, even though this version isn’t drastically different and doesn’t last as long, I honestly like this version much more. It doesn’t feel overwhelming and is very pleasant.
I tried this new Alien flanker. It looks nice and smells very similar to the original, but it’s noticeable that it doesn’t last as long, which is strange for Mugler. It feels like they mixed Alien with Alien Goddess, since I can detect notes from both. Since I already own the original, there’s no point in buying this; they’re too similar.
It’s pretty, but I can’t stand it. I have the same issue with all the Aliens, luckily I swapped it for an Ángel.
Alien Hypersense – I tried it and here’s the verdict. Opening: The pear and tangerine combo felt juicy, sparkling, and charming… but too volatile. It evaporates before you can really enjoy it. Heart: Sambac jasmine and Indian jasmine feel floral and clean, but they don’t add anything new. It felt like a generic heart, similar to many commercial fragrances. Base: The cashmere, musk, and amberwood do connect with the classic Alien signature. That warm, creamy, and enveloping touch felt the most recognizable and enjoyable. ‘Drifting Woods’: Supposedly present… but more of a poetic flourish than a real note. It feels like a dry, slightly marine air, but it’s not the star. More sensory marketing than an actual ingredient. Bottle: Absolutely beautiful, futuristic as always. I appreciate that it’s refillable; it’s a desire object in itself. Spray: Weak point. It felt uncomfortable and imprecise, spraying poorly, wasting fragrance, and ruining part of the experience. Final verdict: A softer, more accessible, and less invasive Alien… but also less memorable. If you love the original for its power and mystique, this might feel like ‘just another one.’ Ideal if you want something in the Alien line but lighter for everyday wear.
I feel like a Sapphire could do the same job as this…
From the first spray, I notice a very fruity opening, though jasmine notes soon emerge on my skin. That sparkling start makes it feel ideal for good weather. However, it’s the dry-down where it really shines: the woody and musky notes relax the composition, transforming it into a very comforting scent. Just so you know, it’s not a discreet musk; it’s noticeable from start to finish. Yet, even though it’s intense, the result doesn’t feel heavy to me—it’s more warm and pleasant. That’s why I consider it very versatile, perfect for any occasion, even summer nights. Plus, it’s one of the few perfumes that leave a strong trail on my skin, along with my other scent from the brand, which is a huge plus.
Disappointment after disappointment with Mugler. These perfumes just don’t last on my skin, which is why I was recommended Ángel Nova and this Hypersense. The new fruitier Ángel Nova doesn’t last and feels synthetic to me. Hypersense isn’t unpleasant, but I don’t love it and it doesn’t last either. In short, I wasted a fortune on these, only to keep sticking with Natura or Lattafa’s Rave Now, which last forever for a fraction of the price.
Ugh, I didn’t like it much. It reminds me a lot of the original Alien; if you like that, you’ll like this. It shares some air with Good Girl, though I’m not sure exactly what, but I know it’s not for me. It feels dark and woody, too much for me. I find it nighttime and wintery. The Extrême version seemed nicer to me, even if it’s not totally mine either.
People need to stop joking around. I’m a champion oversprayer; I can get away with 15 sprays of La Vie Est Belle and still think it’s not enough. Normally I layer two perfumes and hit 25-30 sprays. The buzz this Alien gave me was huge—I felt dizzy all day. It’s a spring-summer scent, and if you overdo the sprays, you’re going to be knocked out. On heavy clothes it’s a beast, projecting insanely. It’s less potent than the OG Alien, but it’s still incredibly strong. I don’t smell the pear; I notice the citrus notes. It smells like Alien + Paradoxe + Libre; it’s sexy. The alien jasmine plus tangerine is the bomb, and the woods are the cherry on top, making the scent rounder. People think they can judge a perfume with two sprays on their wrist. Following that logic, I wouldn’t have half my collection. Anyway, better for me: the less popular a perfume is, the more unique you smell. Heavy hitters with ‘Mugler is no longer what it used to be’; everything new I own, whether Alien or Angel, lasts all day and projects for hours. Ugh, what a nightmare with all these repetitive comments.
Oh, I didn’t like it much; it smells very much like the original Alien, so if you like that, you’ll probably like this too. It also reminds me a bit of Good Girl, though I’m not sure exactly why. It’s dark and woody, too much for my taste. I find it more of a night and winter scent. The Extra Intense version seemed nicer, but still not totally my cup of tea.
The original Alien feels suffocating to me, way too intense. This version, however, is much more wearable. It still has that noticeable character, but without being overwhelming. If you love the Alien DNA but get headaches or find it too heavy every time you wear it, this cleaner, soapy version might be your thing.
Beautiful, perfect for fall and winter: sweet but not cloying. I’d buy it again; it has great longevity and elegance. It’s feminine yet works unisex, and it’s addictive. I love this flanker.
Jasmine, jasmine, jasmine! This note is so delightful, wrapped in a touch of pear to keep it from being overwhelming. It’s my favorite from the line; Alien OG smells like something familiar, similar to other brands. It lasts forever on skin and clothes, but without much sillage, which is fine: it doesn’t leave a trail behind you, but it lingers on whoever greets you. It’s versatile, great for the office or a dinner date, though I doubt it works on hot days.
