For those who say Alien is too heavy: don’t even try the 2000s version; this one is wearable, comfortable, and has a dark edge, far from today’s sugary stuff. If you like powerful scents, this is your thing. Cheers.
It keeps the DNA of the original with a skin-deep jasmine. On my skin, it smells more musky and deeper than Hypersense; it’s the dark, sophisticated version of the classic. The difference is in the dry-down: once they settle, they’re identical. Right now, I prefer Hypersense for its fruity, sparkling opening, which feels more youthful. Maybe in a few years, when I’m looking for something more sober, this will be my go-to. I like it, but it’s not a 100% match.
I love the Alien; I’m obsessed. But this one is too heavy for me. The neroli hits you so hard you don’t know where to put your hands. I don’t recommend buying it blindly, like I did. I thought: if the Alien is beautiful and this is Extra Intense, it must be denser and more potent… but I didn’t imagine how much. Here, the neroli is the absolute queen, overshadowing everything else. That said: the longevity is amazing, and the sillage is great too.
This perfume clearly keeps the DNA of the original, with a marked jasmine presence. Compared to the classic and Hypersense, on my skin it feels more musky and deeper. I’d say it’s a slightly darker, more sophisticated version of the classic Alien. However, I have to admit I find the main difference in the opening. Once dried, they feel practically identical. Still, today I prefer the Hypersense because its fruitier, sparkier opening feels more youthful. I don’t rule out this version as a possible substitute for the Hypersense in a few years when I’m looking for something more sober and sophisticated. For now, I like it, but it doesn’t fit me 100%.
I layered it by first applying the Alien Extra Intense to three strategic spots: the nape of the neck and behind the ears, to build depth. Then I added Hypersense on my arms and clothes, bringing in air and light. The result is an intense Alien, but comfortable. A habitable Alien, truly beautiful.

I love Alien, but this one feels too dense for me. The neroli hits you in the face and you don’t know where to go. I picked up the new Angel by Mugler yesterday; it smells absolutely beastly of pistachios and nuts, crunchy even though there are no nuts in it. I also grabbed the last Dominique bottle; it hit me hard. It’s not the typical Alien—it’s spicier and fresher, reminding me of a well-chilled Coke with watermelon chunks. It’s a brand new Alien, very summery. I get that it might shock the faithful classic lovers a bit… but if I open my mind, this new one has its point. I liked it and bought both. At first spray, it reminds me of the original Alien, but once it dries down, it’s a creamy tuberose scent all day. It’s delicious, but the name doesn’t fit; ‘Extraintense’ makes you think of the brute force of the original, and it’s nothing like that. It’s a lovely fragrance; those tuberose notes are erotic, warm, and intoxicating. It has moderate sillage, isn’t super powerful or ‘extraintense,’ but it’s noticeable without being overwhelming. I see it as very spring-like. A good flanker, just the wrong name. The bottle’s gradient is gorgeous.
I thought they gave me a different one because I pictured a powerful perfume bomb. It feels soft to me; it reminds me of the regular Alien, but I notice the floral side more. Still, I don’t see it as anything special. People talked it up to me, but it’s not one I’d wear.

I bought it a month ago. It resembles Alien, keeping its DNA but adding tuberose, vanilla, and a hint of coconut without going tropical. Good performance, sillage, projection, and longevity. I’ve read it should be a flanker for Alien Goddess, but since they’re discontinuing it, this Extraintense seems like a successor thanks to the vanilla. For me, it’s not in that line; it’s more similar to the OG. It’s like a blend of D&G’s The Only One Intense or something between Rouge Malachite and the original Alien (the L’Oréal one, not the Mugler beast). Very sensual, attractive, and versatile. For me, it’s the best Alien since Fusion. I really liked it. Also, it’s not gourmand or overly sweet.
Agreeing with the previous review: they loaded up with the authentic Alien essence. This new flanker resembles Hypersense in terms of longevity and sillage; after three hours, it fades into the skin. 5/10.
