  • I love it. I tried Angel, the traditional one, a long time ago and didn’t like it much; it gave me the impression of smelling like insecticide, so I forgot about it. I bought Angel Muse blind and to my surprise, it’s incredible, delicious, and accompanies you in a delicious way. I don’t clearly notice the Nutella note that’s presumed, but I do notice it’s creamy and chocolatey, very rich.

To me, it’s a scent that reminds me of craft fairs or esoteric bazaar shops selling candles, incense, angel and fairy figurines, wind chimes, dreamcatchers, runes, tarot cards, and that kind of stuff. It must be because during my adolescence, I frequented these types of places always scented with patchouli and chocolate incense. It brings back good memories, but I think it’s more of an ambient scent than a perfume.

Little boy smelling of Christmas: first patchouli, pink pepper, chocolate, cinnamon, almond, hazelnut, and obviously that clove. It reminds me of classic Mugler Angel, but even sweeter and special for cloudy days near Christmas. A perfume not recommended to buy blind and preferably test on skin; it’s not the typical old-school sweet gourmand, as I have perfumes like that, and unlike Muse, this is more chocolatey, soft, and warm. Obviously, I’m going to buy it… because I loved it <3

  • I love this perfume so much but I never understood where the Nutella smell is; I don’t even smell hazelnuts, but I love it anyway, plus it lasts and projects a lot.

  • I was lucky to receive it as a gift; I’ve wanted it for a long time. What personality it has, magnificent performance (of the ones I have from the brand, I think it’s the one that’s suffered the least from L’Oréal’s cuts). Although I must note that on my skin, the patchouli stands out the most, but beautifully nuanced by the other notes, making it changeable and camouflaged. When I received it for my birthday with friends, everyone was enchanted. What a beautiful and seductive fragrance. I feel it’s for nighttime and cold weather.

  • Nutella bonbon. This perfume took forever to arrive in my country; I only recently saw it in department stores. The curiosity about the famous Nutella scent was high, so I decided to test it in late spring despite most recommending it for winter. At first, you feel the grapefruit, then after a few minutes the patchouli and Nutella kick in, creating a mouthwatering scent, like smelling a good hazelnut chocolate just before eating it, mixed with the earthy patchouli; what surprised me is that it’s not overwhelming or heavy on my skin, it feels soft, and that lasts a long time. Given its performance, it could be used on some cool summer evenings.

  • I can’t believe everyone told me to be careful buying this fragrance blind; I did, and I couldn’t be happier: a powerful, earthy, mossy opening leading into the chocolate scent I love so much, but not milky chocolate, more like a 70% dark chocolate bar, with impeccable longevity on me. The presentation is a marvel, looking like a spaceship and very lovely. It’s truly a shame it’s been discontinued as it’s a great perfume, ideal for cold days since it would be impossible to wear here in the heat.

  • My relationship with Angel is unique. I recognize it as an innovative formula since its launch; in fact, I gave it one star because while I like it, I use it very little as it overwhelms me. I tried Muse and absolutely loved it, finding the tranquility I don’t find in Angel. Muse is pleasant, flatter, sweeter, lasts well, clings to the skin, feels velvety and rich. It’s not invasive. The citrus top notes fade quickly to reveal the sweet patchouli base that defines Muse. It’s not a summer scent, but it’s more wearable than the original Angel. The bottle is divine, a metallic stone like meteorite material containing liquid from the cosmos.

  • Very rich indeed! The patchouli hits hard at first, but then it turns into something amazing, like crunchy hazelnut chocolate.

  • Angel Muse doesn’t smell like Nutella to me, well, it does smell like hazelnut cream, but I detect the Angel Eau de Parfum DNA much more strongly, which is beautiful to me because it’s one of my favorite perfumes. At first, you get that strong patchouli DNA, giving way to grapefruit and chocolate with nuts. I wish I’d known about it much sooner because Angel Muse is truly precious; I bought it blind and have no regrets. It’s hard to find in my country, so wearing it makes me feel unique and special since I know it’s not a mass-market aroma haha. The longevity doesn’t disappoint, and the trail is ideal. I’d wear it always, but it’s better for cloudy, cold days <3

I’m not one to buy perfumes blind; I love going to perfumeries to try them (without being overwhelmed, of course), but since I couldn’t find it, I dared to order it, and it was a hit. In this flanker, you can feel the DNA of the traditional Angel, but it’s much more wearable. On my skin, what stands out most is the vetiver, the cocoa, and the patchouli. It doesn’t smell like Nutella (wish it did!), it smells like intense chocolate with honey but with earthy and patchouly touches. They say it’s strong in sillage and projection, but on my skin, I feel it’s soft and the longevity is low, around 4 hours. Still, it has me hooked. One of my favorites ❣️ EDIT: I got the Thierry Mugler version, and what a bombshell! It lasts twice as long and is much more intense. Try to find the pre-reformulation version; it’s worth it.

  • verdepensativo

I bought it for the beautiful packaging and because they said it was more wearable than Angel, understanding that tastes are subjective. I found it innovative, but it felt like vetiver, patchouli, and vanilla chocolate cream. Over time, it started smelling like vanilla cigarette smoke, like an air freshener. Definitely not my thing. Moderate longevity, total creativity in the fragrance. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind or if you’re an Angel fan.

  • It disappointed me a lot. I love its fragrance and it smells glorious, but it doesn’t last even half an hour on skin and leaves no sillage. On clothes, it lasts a bit longer but still leaves no trace. Given the price, I expected better projection; plus, I use a lot of Alien, and with a couple of sprays, those perfumes last hours. I won’t refill it, and it’s a shame because the bottle is a masterpiece.

  • geomeun.apyeon

Oh! This little perfume was made for me. Incredible sillage, totally wintery scent, a sweet chocolatey warmth. If you layer it with another perfume, you can smell it all day. Great scent, good longevity, perfect for special occasions or daily wear. I’ve never tried anything like this. I hope they don’t touch it or reformulate it!

  • Anfítrite

I started with a 3ml oil from Perfumes Parlour without having heard of the original, just because it smelled like Nocilla (Nutella). I liked it a lot and later swapped this 30ml bottle. I’m delighted. The bottle is gorgeous; unlike mine, which I usually throw away after finishing, I’ll keep this one, plus it’s refillable. It has an organic, ergonomic, and futuristic shape. I like it more than Angel, though I need to take it slow since I’m still riding the initial hype. It has all the notes listed, and maybe some more. The Nocilla note is there too. I’ve read that some people don’t smell it, but for me, there’s a phase where I’m not sure if I’m smelling my wrist or a jar of Nocilla. Then it transforms into a blend of cocoa, vanilla, honey, and other delicious things. It’s gourmand, rough, earthy, and woody. It’s unisex, with masculine elements like vetiver, patchouli, pepper, and grapefruit, plus cocoa cream and hazelnuts. Sometimes I worry I’ll get bored because it’s linear, aside from the sharp opening with grapefruit and pepper. It’s very bold in its masculine expressions, which I’m not used to, but it wins me over anyway; it’s delicious. It has personality, sensuality thanks to that velvety cocoa, and decent sillage and longevity.

  • I’ve been wearing it for two days, and when it dries down, it smells a lot like my discontinued L by Lolita Lémpicka, the one I loved so much! Longevity and sillage are undeniable!

  • At first, it’s sweet and pleasant, but as it dries down, it smells like very ripe fruit, almost going bad, with a wet earthy scent.

  • I was really surprised. I usually get nauseous with too much patchouli, so I use it sparingly, preferring it light and clean. In Angel Muse, the patchouli is heavy, earthy, and absolute, yet it remains incredibly addictive. The first impression is a delicious grapefruit: crisp and ripe, as if it’s being cooked down for jam. The patchouli hits immediately—strong, earthy, and sweet, with impressive power thanks to the woody vetiver. I don’t smell chocolate directly; I have to sniff my wrists and think of a jar of Nutella to imagine it. I know the patchouli is there, but for me, it’s a fruity patchouli, perhaps nutty; it’s a beast in performance but more wearable than the original. As it dries down, it becomes very vanilla-like and light. The real draw is the first few hours: projection and sillage are impressive, creating waves of scent. It’s not for the timid. Lasts 8-9 hours on skin and is eternal on clothes. I think it’s unisex. I love it. Maybe I won’t buy the full bottle, but I’ll use my decant with gusto.

  • Tamachan

Upon application, a citrusy and sweet opening gives way to an enormous, eternal wave of patchouli, with that distinctive earthy-chocolatey aftertaste that’s so addictive and reminiscent of Gallagher’s Behold. To me, it also smells like honey. I’m not sure how the vetiver stands alone, but it’s there, adding a woody note that emerges around the two-hour mark. I’ve seen it compared to Natura’s Kriska Drama; they share some DNA, but they’re not the same: Natura’s is bland, overly fruity, and has that synthetic praline-like sweetness.

  • A powerful patchouli comes out (though it’s supposed to be the base note), feels a bit citrusy and spicy, then dries down to a Nutella-like chocolate. It’s a difficult perfume; not everyone likes it, and while I do, I advise against buying it blindly. My husband doesn’t like it. It lasts on clothes until you wash them and on skin for hours and hours; I can still smell it even after bathing. Not recommended for heat.

Does anyone know where to buy this in Chile? If it’s available here, please DM me! ❤️

  • Gabyprinns

This perfume is liquid Christmas; that’s how I feel and perceive it. It was love at first sniff; the cocoa note is in its prime.

  • Very chocolatey patchouli dragged along by grass (hello, vetiver). I love it. Long-lasting and heavy trail, perfect for cold weather. A gourmand that feels different and special to me. It’s tremendously dense, not a little sweetie; patchouli plays a fundamental role in Angel Muse EDP.

  • Candycandy40

Eternal on my wishlist, and when I finally got it… huge disappointment. It only smells of patchouli and sharp vetiver with a camphor scent. I don’t smell the Nutella or chocolate. Very masculine for my taste; I think I’ll give it to my husband. A bluff. Don’t buy it blindly.

  • I bought it blindly during the pandemic because videos said it was sweet, like Nutella, but it wasn’t that on my skin. Patchouli isn’t my favorite note; I tolerate it if it’s subtle, but here it’s not. I only smelled patchouli and more patchouli, so I had to sell it. Edit: After COVID, my sense of smell changed. I tried it again after 5 years and now I like it much more; it leaves a sweet patchouli that lasts all day.

  • The almond notes get lost against too much patchouli. It gave me nausea. Maybe I should have waited for the dry-down, but that initial sensation scared me and I knew I wouldn’t wear it.

  • The first time I smelled it, I was scared; it smelled a lot like Angel with a strong patchouli opening that I didn’t like. Over time, the sweet notes, the chocolate, etc., came out, and I loved the dry-down.

  • It’s delicious. At first, it smells exactly like the first version of Thierry Mugler’s Angel (now discontinued). Then it becomes sweeter, a bit chocolatey, but on my skin, the sweet grapefruit with lots of patchouli really stands out. I love it and it lasts more than 12 hours.

  • What a shame, it’s the best Mugler and they’ve discontinued it. I’ve resigned myself to keeping it as a precious treasure. Choco Violet has hazelnut, but it lacks that liquorish and citrusy note from the beginning and end found in the original. Mancera puts on too much musk that overwhelms everything. Mugler is powdery chocolate and patchouli, absolutely divine.

Angel Muse is a creamy delight of chocolate with hazelnut and a touch of bright grapefruit. Ideal for those who found the original Angel too intense. Basically, Angel Muse is the softer version of the original. It’s almost identical, but with more personality. Much sweeter than the original, it’s definitely more versatile and pleasant. I have nothing but praise; I want to smell like gourmet chocolate candy all day. How shameful, L’Oréal, discontinuing this chocolate masterpiece is one of your worst decisions to date (not counting Angel Elixir).

Hi, hope you’re all well. Before I give my opinion, let me clarify that A-MEN is one of my favorite fragrances, although I also like the classic Angel a lot. I bought it a few months ago at the Buenos Aires airport because it wasn’t available outside anymore. I liked it, though not as much as the A-MEN. It definitely reminds me of the classic Angel, but on my skin, Angel Muse is much fresher and more wearable; you can feel the freshness of the grapefruit at the start, although it’s not a fresh fragrance per se, just fresher than its older sister. It’s sweet but not cloying and has a much less marked earthy tone than the A-MEN. The opening is potent but then it relaxes, so it can be worn without issues on cool days, unlike the other one which I see only for night. This one is less mysterious, more informal, fun, and sparkly. I think it works for not-too-warm springs. Although I see it as more informal, I don’t say it doesn’t go well with semi-formal clothes, outings with friends, or family dinners. As for whether it smells like Nutella or hazelnut cream: in my experience, yes! It’s a scent that makes me smile, sweet and fun. Maybe it lacks mystery for dates since it stays sweet and is quite linear, although the grapefruit fades and it sweetens over time. The longevity is good, about six hours on my skin (I tend to apply a lot), so I have no complaints. Best regards from Buenos Aires.

  • anamaestracorreo

Delicious! It has a patchouli very similar to the regular Angel or Lord of Misrule. To me, it smells like Nestlé’s After Eight chocolates, which I absolutely love!

  • So delicious! It starts with patchouli (don’t be alarmed), but the star is the hazelnut chocolate, spectacular. It’s gourmand, potent, and lasts forever.

  • This perfume is out of this world, but unfortunately it’s no longer sold and it’s a mess trying to find it. If you catch on fast like me, maybe you can still snag it or refill it at a good price.

  • anamaestracorreo

I love Angel Muse and the regular Angel. I struggle to decide. Comparing them, the regular one is much more intense, fresh, and minty at the start than the Muse. As they dry down, they become more similar in that chocolatey aspect. Still, in the Muse you don’t find the honey or cotton candy of the regular Angel’s dry down. Muse is less complicated and easier to like. It’s sweeter but projects worse than its sibling. It’s a shame it’s so hard to find now.

  • darlenerock

I’m going to describe the sensations: intrigue, suspense, disgust, and then love. Crazy, right? But that’s how it was. I wanted to smell it for ages but it was impossible to find a tester because it’s super discontinued. I searched and searched without success. A perfume-loving friend sent me a decant in an exchange, and when I finally got the 5 milliliters of the longed-for Muse… I didn’t like it. I felt it was super intense, with lots of patchouli and unbearable sweet notes. A huge disappointment; I was expecting that ‘Nutella’ scent. A year later, yesterday while walking through the neighborhood, I saw a chest of the beloved and hated MUSE EDP in a shop window. I couldn’t believe there was still some left, I went in dead curious, and there were testers! I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a sign from destiny. I tested it on my skin again and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh magic: the hazelnut chocolate scent came out immediately, accompanied by a much less intense patchouli than I remembered and a subtly woody base. I asked the price and left, hoping to see if over time it would mutate into an unbearable patchouli… but luckily it didn’t. So today, without hesitation, I went to the perfumerie and bought it. Finally I have this jewel and I’m already enjoying this semi-bitter chocolate with hazelnuts 😉

  • Oh my god, what luck to have a miniature of this masterpiece and be in love with it. The opening is a citrus explosion (I smell oranges or mandarins, I’m not sure why) mixed with patchouli. Strong and peculiar, surely it will have detractors. Something like amaretto and earth. After a few minutes, it softens and a delicious milk chocolate appears with a slight vetiver base. I can’t wait for it to get colder so I can wear it. I feel so happy and I love it so much!!

  • It starts as a patchouli bomb, very dirty and earthy, like chocolate in mud. Then it softens into a sweet hazelnut cream. I’m not fully convinced by the herbal dry down, so I mix it with Bianco Latte and it becomes a spectacular chocolate and cream dessert. It smells like a 70s poetess, bohemian, idealistic, sensitive, and a bit esoteric; picture Victorian robes, gold jewelry, and furs at music festivals, dancing barefoot on the grass. Aristocratic rebellion, forgotten and rediscovered talismans. Bohemian romance in libraries, mansions filled with antiques, earth after the rain, and hot chocolate in a storm. With ‘Spring is coming’ by Operating Theatre in the background. It’s not for everyone, but it’s a magnificent and unforgettable spell. That’s Angel Muse for me. I love putting it on my wrist before bed; it’s so precious I could cry.

  • oliendobonito

Full on patchouli: if you can’t handle it, move on. It can be strong and even give you a headache. But that patchouli blends with a creamy chocolate accord, like Nutella without being it, which balances out that earthy side. Medium projection and lasts about 12 hours. Perfect for fall and winter.
