It’s a very soft and somewhat elegant scent, but it’s not sexy as its name suggests, nor is it very surprising.
I searched for years for this perfume without knowing its name; I just felt it and it reminded me of my mom’s makeup powder. When I bought and used it, I realized I have a love-hate relationship with it. The opening is very strong and floral, sometimes overwhelming, but once it settles, it smells like old makeup—probably due to the cotton candy, which I love; I really adore it, and it’s the scent I was looking for. But after two hours, it transforms into an intense, headache-inducing patchouli that I can’t stand; I don’t know if it’s my pH, but that’s what makes me hate it.
Sexy, sugary cotton, creamy powdery musk, and delicious talc hints. It has excellent longevity and a divine dry-down on the skin; it lingers on clothes and becomes intrusively delicious as the hours pass. I’ve been using it for years, and it never bothers or bores me. It’s simply rich in nuances yet simple. It doesn’t smell anything like Prada Candy, but both share that powdery, milky style that sums up divine sensuality. I adore it, I love it!
My best friend bought it for me; I tried it at her house and I think it’s one of the most awful scents I’ve ever smelled. Powdery in a way that makes your stomach turn, smelling like old, spoiled flowers. I don’t know what was worse: the ugliness of the scent or that my friend was so happy she wouldn’t let me tell her it repulsed me, so I had to hide my horrified face.
It smells like Mugler Angel EDP, with cotton candy, patchouli, sandalwood, musk, caramel, mandarin, and bergamot. But it’s richer and more wearable than Angel. The 212 Sexy is exactly what its name says: very sweet, floral, intense, and long-lasting. It evokes nostalgia; it’s a truly nostalgic scent.
It’s fresher than sweet, not annoying, and I recommend it for those who like versatile perfumes. On my skin, it stays fresh, powdery, with a slight kick of pink pepper. It’s like my boyfriend’s favorite; it has a medium masculine aroma that makes it unisex, and on a woman, it makes her stand out (sexy). At first, I found it simple, but after a year, I appreciate it more—I sense its complexity and elegance. It’s indispensable; I don’t have much left 🙁 and it’s my favorite. It’s like that thing you value even more once it’s gone, lol.
I had no expectations and I absolutely loved it. I don’t smell the caramel or the heavy sweetness people mention; to me, it smells like pink pepper, musk, violet, rose, and cotton candy. When it dries down, it’s clean, woody, and patchouli-like, with a floral-musky base and a sweet touch. If it were sweeter, I’d call it sexy, but it has its own thing going on—it’s risky and transgressive, like 2000s perfumes such as Ultra Violet (though this one works, it’s strange, quirky, and seductive). I don’t knock it; it’s enjoyable for days when you want to smell clean but not like a marine fragrance. In summer, it’s intense; very spicy and musky for the heat. Edit: It smells a bit like makeup 😅😅😅🎀. After two days, I notice it has an angelic vibe, thanks to the cotton candy and caramel notes with a patchouli and vanilla undertone. Although it didn’t meet my expectations, it didn’t disgust me; it’s quite lovely.
I received it as a gift 🎁. I only tested it on my wrist and hope my pH adjusts to it. It’s fresh, sweet, and elegant—not cloying but powdery. Very delicate, so I’ll give it time. Every body has its own chemistry, and longevity varies a lot. Even a perfume from 10 years ago smells different now. We’ll see how it goes. The packaging is gorgeous.♥️
I bought the 212 for the pink bottle—it’s super cute for showing off, lol. The scent is strong but sweet without being cloying; it smells like an expensive perfume, sensual and sophisticated. I used to wear it in my 20s.
I’d buy this a thousand times over; it’s my favorite alongside Cool Water. It’s sexy without being cheesy, full of character with a fresh-spicy touch. Timeless and versatile, it has the perfect balance. Even though it’s famous, not everyone wears it. Try it on skin, not on paper.
Spicy and sweet, I love it! Very versatile and good longevity. It gives off a vibe of makeup powder or vintage cream due to its slightly powdery drydown.
This fragrance has a sparkly quality, a bubbly base, which is why it feels youthful and casual, yet casually elegant. I imagine a girl in jeans and a boutique blouse heading to lunch with friends at the mall. That’s how I’d describe its usage: casual-sophisticated. If I describe it another way: sweet, yes, but not cloying, rather sparkly. Be careful with over-application, as it can be overwhelming. On public transport, the lady next to me rolled down her window despite the 15-degree weather; she’d rather be cold than smell my 212 Sexy. It was due to over-application, as I didn’t smell it too much myself and got carried away. It doesn’t last long, a bit more than 3 hours, with little projection; it stays close to the skin. I suppose it’s better that way, because if the scent were strong for hours, it could be annoying, as it tickles a bit. The last time it made me sneeze. But don’t be fooled; it’s not unpleasant, on the contrary, it’s rich and dynamic. Try it.
I’ve been wearing this since 2008; it’s that scent that identifies me even when no one sees me. I perceive it as spicy; the pink pepper is simply divine, sweet, and fresh. It’s timeless, not a common perfume everyone uses. It’s my comfort zone; I always come back to it. It makes me feel calm. I don’t know how many bottles I’ve bought, but I can’t go without it. I’d buy it a thousand times over.
I bought it recently and think it’s very lovely. Coming from heavy scents like Opium or L’Night Tresor, I was looking for something sweet but suitable for summer and any occasion; it seems perfect. Wearing those sweet monsters in summer, in a coastal Chilean area where it’s cool and humidity is low, suits 212 perfectly. ‘Sexy’ isn’t the right word; I feel it’s delicate, feminine, very rose-y, but not sexy. You can smell pink pepper, gardenia, and vanilla. I’ll highlight that it has a slight DNA of 212 VIP, which I love. No doubt it’s by Carolina Herrera. I’m not sure if it’s a good blind buy, as it could be too heavy for those who don’t like gourmand scents. I love it.
It was a gift, and I would never have bought it myself. It has a bubbly note; I smell rose and champagne, but also something very synthetic that makes me detest it. I gave it away because I couldn’t stand it. I usually don’t like CH perfumes.
I absolutely love this perfume. I don’t feel it lasts long; I’d say about 4 or 5 hours. My partner likes it a lot; it lives up to the name: sexy. What I notice most is the pepper and rose.
Definitely a classic by Carolina Herrera. It feels sexy, elegant, and rich. It’s not the sweetest I own, though the cotton candy note gives that impression; yes, it is quite sweet. You can really smell the pepper, rose, and a marked patchouli. I like it, but it doesn’t kill me. I think it’s an aroma from a long time ago; nowadays there are fresher, more interesting fragrances. Lasts over 6 hours on my skin.
I don’t like the opening at all; it’s very sparkly and synthetic. It improves a bit in the floral evolution, but the drydown is the best: on my skin, it’s a sweet, musky, powdery sandalwood that I actually like.
The first thing you smell is champagne or cider. I love it for going out with a partner, feeling safe and gorgeous, or for special events. I use it for outings. It works great in any season, cold or hot, day or night.
Wow, so much talcum powder! Smells like baby products; my partner couldn’t stand it. It’s not sexy or fun; in the end, it just leaves a faint trail of powder with nothing interesting.
I love it! As its name indicates, it’s super dry, feminine, elegant, sober, and distinguished. It never goes unnoticed.
Oh my god! One of my favorite perfumes, it never fails for dates. When I know I want to impress on a date, I use it without a doubt. I have millions of rich perfumes but I know this one appeals to everyone and is perfect for a first impression. I love it and I know the rest love it too. 100% recommended.
Very dry, no specific note stands out.
My favorite perfume forever and ever (along with two or three others, since I have a condo heart). At first, you feel the pink pepper, in fact I don’t know how it’s not found in similar fragrances like Gucci Guilty; in the opening it reminds me a lot, but this 212 Sexy for me takes a different path, it goes for the sweetness, I suppose due to the cotton candy. It goes in stages: I remember when I met it, it wasn’t love at first sniff, but it delighted me little by little. For me, it’s a feminine, elegant aroma that in the dry down becomes clean and very pleasant.
I ordered it just out of curiosity and fell in love at first sniff; I didn’t even leave the store to test the longevity, I just said yes. The dry down is AMAZING, it’s powdery with vanilla. It’s a fragrance that’s too cute but sexy at the same time and feminine; I imagine Elle Fanning wearing it, it’s super girly. I would wear it at 22, I was fascinated. It makes me happy because I feel it; I walk and move my hair and I can smell it too much; that doesn’t happen with many perfumes. I didn’t feel it was invasive, on the contrary, I received several compliments; a man told me I smelled delicious like a candy. I feel it’s hard for a young person to dislike it, it’s the definition of pink like its bottle. Longevity on my skin is approx 4-5 hours with a good trail, much longer on clothes.
This smells like a man’s fragrance; I gave it to my husband.
Extremely sweet, very heavy, I didn’t like it.
I love it today! I’ve had it in my collection for years, but only today did I realize its wonderful composition. To me, it has a subtle sweetness, nothing heavy, and the florals and musk really stand out. I don’t detect the cotton candy or caramel notes. It’s an office perfume, feminine, versatile, and not invasive at all.
At first, I barely used it because it was a blind buy and it didn’t convince me, but lately it has won me over. Its scent works great for this climate, which isn’t stifling; it adapts well to a temperate weather, it’s sweet but not cloying, something that can be worn daily.
What a fantastic perfume! I absolutely love it; it’s my favorite Carolina Herrera and one of my must-haves. It smells incredibly distinguished, unique, and hard to find. I was lucky to stumble upon it at a free shop in Ushuaia last year at an insane price, since you can’t get it at perfumeries in Buenos Aires. I wear it in the dead of winter and for evening events; a few sprays are enough so I don’t get overwhelmed, though bringing it home with just one spray on my wrist made the whole room smell. I feel sexy, casual, strong, floral, and with a sweet touch. It leaves a huge trail and lasts for hours. Perfect for those who want to make an impression.
I find it very similar to 212 Vip, but this one feels more party-ready. It has a slightly stronger scent but shares the same DNA as the soft sexy version. I’d wear it all year round. Lots of rose and vanilla notes, but subtle and nothing scandalous.
For years it’s been my signature scent. I love it, I love it, I love it. It’s spectacular, just like all of CH’s perfumes.
Fascinated by this fragrance today with this moderate heat and some clouds; it’s not suffocating. To my nose, the cotton candy and caramel notes don’t come through—they go unnoticed—but the pink pepper and floral notes do, and they’re very pleasant. I haven’t received any open compliments, but it doesn’t bother people on public transport or in enclosed spaces.
Just received it as a birthday gift; I have it again after many years. It seems sweet, fresh, floral, and clean—I love it. Lately, I’ve read they discontinued it; it’s still available in stores in my city, but it would be a shame if that’s true.
An elegant and non-intrusive fragrance despite its sweet notes. Perfect for the office; it feels clean and isn’t annoying.
I feel like this is a scent for everything—super versatile. Great for mild days or nights. It smells great to me, especially the cotton candy note. The blend of notes balances it out to make it wearable. I like it for semi-formal outings; it doesn’t project much, but you notice it when people get close, and it becomes softer over time.
Pretty perfume, but the longevity is too short for an EDP at this price point. Not worth it. Better to invest in something that lasts longer.
Nice perfume, ideal for any time of day or season. The only drawback is the longevity isn’t the best.
A delicious scent, mainly floral. It’s very versatile, perfect for day, night, and almost any season. The only downside is it doesn’t last long on the skin.
I’ve worn this from age 18 to 34—it’s still my favorite and never gets old. It’s super versatile; I use it day and night in any weather. I love it! Whenever it runs out, I buy another before the bottle is even empty.
