  Quick spray test: At first, it smells like classic 80s leather-aromatics with an extra touch of green rose and mossy notes. It smells good but without any surprises. Compared to other Rosendo scents, it’s a bit like Rosendo Mateu 2, sharing the citrus, rose, patchouli, and suede, though here there’s more moss and less sandalwood. After an hour, the rose calms down and the scent becomes softer, reminiscent of a clean barbershop fougère, fresh from some base note that could be ambroxan, though I’m not sure. As it dries, the vanilla stands out more, adding a sweeter touch alongside the earthy patchouli and the slightly sharp oak moss. It’s more noticeable up close since the sillage is almost nonexistent. I reapplied it at five hours because I couldn’t smell it anymore. In short, it’s a good scent—simple and elegant, perhaps one of the easiest in the Zoologist catalog—but with low performance and it hasn’t convinced me to buy the full bottle.
