Knowing Nathalie Lorson had created something for Zara, I didn’t hesitate to buy it, and honestly, I absolutely love it. It’s an aldehydic fragrance where iris takes the lead, but with a curious twist: it smells super sweet and edible, like candied almonds. While others say it reminds them of garrapiñadas, I don’t get that toasted, caramelized, or smoky note at all; it’s more like liquid sugar, a light syrup. The trail is moderate-to-notable and lasts 8-9 hours on my skin. Because of the sweetness, it might seem like a fall or winter scent, but the iris and musk give it enough cleanliness to wear year-round without being cloying. It’s very versatile: the aldehydic side adds elegance for work, while the sweetness makes it casual for informal occasions. It has a very particular sweetness that you should try before buying, but for gourmand lovers who aren’t bothered by aldehydes, it’s a unique and original option. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Sillage 7.5/10, Value 10/10, Versatility 8.5/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
As soon as I found out Nathalie Lorson designed something for Zara, I didn’t hesitate for a second to buy it, and honestly, I absolutely love it. I bought it blindly trusting the reviews, and the scent is beautiful, just as described. The only thing is that on my skin, it’s very soft and fades quickly; I almost can’t smell it after a while.
What an exquisite aroma, a pure olfactory experience. It brings back memories of my autumn Sundays in the 90s, when I’d go with my parents to the downtown candy shop. That blend of candied almonds with the tenderness of iris and musk is perfect. The opening is a bit alcoholized and strange at first, but after 10 minutes, it’s absolutely exquisite. The dry-down is divine, the kind that revives memories. Value for money is 10/10; I hadn’t liked anything from Zara in a while, and this one is a hit.
Beautiful scent, a total olfactory experience. It transports me back to my early days, the 90s, strolling on autumn and winter afternoons with my parents to a downtown candy shop. That sweet blend of candied almonds with the tenderness and elegance of iris and musk is perfect. The opening is a bit alcoholic and strange; it didn’t convince me at first, but after 10 minutes, it becomes exquisite. The dry down is divine, one of those moments where you catch a scent that stirs up memories. Quality-to-price ratio is a 10. I hadn’t liked anything from Zara in a while, and certainly not this one.
Since I don’t have a Zara in my city, when I buy Zara perfume, it’s a blind buy. My review is focused on helping people in a similar situation. It’s really a sweet, almond, and powdery perfume. The first thing I smell is the candied almond (and no, it doesn’t smell like roasted nuts). It’s a soft, incredible almond very similar to the real candy. After a few minutes, the iris and patchouli scent enters with that powdery touch that prevents it from being a headache. So far, it gave me a smell like incense or an Egyptian souvenir shop, which strangely didn’t bother me. It also reminds me of a bowl of cereal. It’s a very interesting and original scent, but when I let others smell it, everyone agreed it’s very beautiful. My mom and sister said it reminded them of Kenzo Flower, but to me, it doesn’t seem to have that fruity touch of Kenzo. Anyway, personally, I loved this fragrance and I’m waiting to see what else Zara has with these so apt collaborations; I totally recommend it for people who like sweet perfumes.
Since there’s no Zara nearby, I bought this blindly, and it’s a total hit. It smells like real candied almonds, nothing like toasted nuts, with a hint of iris and patchouli that gives it a powdery vibe without being overwhelming. At first, I thought of incense or Egyptian shops, but it didn’t bother me. It reminds me of a bowl of cereal, and while my mom and sister think it smells like Kenzo Flower, it lacks that fruity touch for me. It’s original, pretty, and I recommend it if you like sweet perfumes.
In my opinion, it’s a 95% dupe of Prada Candy; the only thing missing is more sillage, but it’s almost the same. Sweet and powdery. I loved it.
I bought it blind, trusting the comments here a lot. It’s really a nice scent, just as described. The only negative is that, at least on my skin, it stays very, very soft and after a short time I can’t feel it anymore.
I have a strange relationship with this fragrance: my gourmand side fell in love with that sweet and delicate touch… but I don’t know if it’s the iris combined with patchouli that ends up overwhelming me and causing headaches. I love smelling it on others, but on me it’s too much of a fighter, must be my skin 🙁
I bought it because they said it was similar to Maison Lancome’s Iris Dragees. Well, the openings are very different; they only start to resemble each other after 15-20 minutes, and only a little. The iris and candied almonds of MSK really stand out on my skin, giving me an almost gourmand scent to my liking, whereas Iris Dragees becomes soapy and floral; on my skin, the iris and flowers (though violet isn’t listed) are enhanced more than the almond itself. They’re different scents to my taste; I could own both without it being repetitive. However, I lean towards MSK; it’s sweeter and less overwhelming for my rhinitis, haha. Still, I’d buy the Maison Lancome one if they launched it at a good deal (for now, I only have a decant).
I was looking for a baby-like scent and found it here… Soft, moderate longevity, sweet with candied almond notes but not overpowering, versatile for all-day wear or intimate nights. It met my expectations 100%… The price is excellent 👍
This perfume reminds me a lot of the original Dior Homme. It smells very powdery. Does it sound the same to anyone else? Could you share some notes?
A wonderful fragrance by Nathalie Lorson for Zara. I bought the bottle thanks to a YouTuber and now I miss it. It lasted so long on clothes that it was painful to put them in the laundry. If anyone knows of something similar, let me know. I wish they’d declare all the olfactory notes so we could find a similar one, or Zara, please give us more.
I love this fragrance so much that I barely wear it for fear of running out (Zara, you’re welcome). It smells sweet yet clean; on my skin, the candied almonds really stand out. It’s not overwhelming despite its sweetness and fairly linear character. Longevity and projection are moderate, but it’s worth it. If they bring it back, I’d buy a refill without hesitation to wear it freely without worrying about running out of such a delicious perfume.
I love it so much that I barely wear it for fear of running out (Zara, you’re welcome). It’s sweet yet clean; on my skin, the candied almonds really stand out. It’s not suffocating, though it is quite linear. The longevity is moderate and the projection isn’t the best, but it’s worth it. If they bring it back, I’d buy a refill without a second thought to wear it worry-free without fearing I’ll run out of such a delicious perfume.
It’s the affordable version of Lancome’s Iris Dragees. I tried it to see if I’d be brave enough to buy the original, and indeed, it’s a feminine, subtle, and special scent. What a shame that neither of them is available anymore.
