Vibrant Leather Cologne by Zara

Launched in 2019 by Jerome Epinette, it hasn’t come out with all the names yet (Summer, Intense, etc.), but in my opinion, it’s one of Zara’s best for spring and summer. It opens with a strong citrus note of bergamot and ginger, with musk and light woods. It handles extreme heat well, projects strongly for the first two hours, and lasts between 5 and 6 hours. If you see it on sale or when Zara relaunches it, buy it without hesitation. Excellent aroma and a very good price.

These are astringent citrus scents with a spicy touch over a cedar base, very similar to Dior Homme Cologne or Citrus Cedro. It’s a simple perfume but works great on hot days. Simple doesn’t mean boring; I defend these creations where less is more. The performance is moderate, about 4 hours, but given the scent and price, it seems fair. Highly recommended for summer, one of Zara’s best. They usually release mediocre stuff, but sometimes they surprise us.

While browsing this VL Cologne, just like with Summer, I was blown away reading that others hate it. What would they think of Dior Homme Cologne, which costs four times as much and smells similar? Or Allure Homme Sport? Or the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino line, which costs ten times more? Given the price and how it smells, is it worth it? For me, yes.

It’s a very simple scent, just lemon. Honestly, it smells like floor cleaner to me. On my skin, it doesn’t last at all. I bought it because a friend was traveling to Spain. Honestly, I won’t buy it again and I hope I can reuse the bottle. It’s not a bad fragrance; my coworkers like it, but I’ll only use it for working out.

Despite their differences, I was surprised by the resemblance to Dior Homme Cologne. I think it’s due to that sparkling citrus opening. In the dry down, the Zara version keeps the citrus accord without drifting into a soapy, detergent-like smell, and without overwhelming with musks so common in low-cost perfumery that they make me want to avoid Vetiver Pamplemousse. A soft woody accord serves as a support to provide decent longevity, considering it’s a cologne.

I took a long time to write this. It smells like an intense lemon citrus, and on my skin it reminds me of cleaning products, which is why it doesn’t work for me. I’m not saying it’s a bad fragrance, by no means. But I’ve tried it several times and my olfactory memory only recalls floor cleaner… it’s a shame, I was hoping I’d like it for its longevity and sillage. This fragrance isn’t for me. Best regards.

I’m new to fragrances and have been a fan of Vibrant Leather from the start. Seeing this fresher version, I headed straight to buy it. Bought it blind and have no regrets, so I’d recommend grabbing it without looking; it’s easy to like. It’s like the original but with a potent, sharp citrus note. As Juan from Hueleme says, it’s like biting into an entire lemon with the peel. You can tell. It’s very similar to Dior Cologne, lasts less, but for the price, you can spray more or reapply; still, the longevity isn’t bad, lasting me about 6 hours.

For me, it’s much better than its sister scent, and if I’m not mistaken, Zara has already removed it from their catalog, so if you find it, don’t miss out. It’s a citrus with a very nice ginger note that stays flat from start to finish, which for me is a virtue, since in many cheap colognes the opening is the only good part and then they turn into weird bugs outside the store. Like in many human relationships, as it turns out.

I bought it this morning (it was hard to find) and after eight hours, it’s an incredible citrus scent. It smells like Allure Homme Sport, maybe not quite as long-lasting, but it’s winter and with heat it will perform better. I can still smell it close to the skin. It surprised me because after reading bad reviews, it’s honestly good. At less than 20 euros for 120 ml, it’s an insane deal. It’s a non-fatiguing cologne that I see as perfect for dates. I hope to get some compliments. Edit: I meant to say it smells like Dior Homme Cologne and I wrote Chanel Allure Homme Sport by mistake.

In my opinion, much better than its sibling, and if I’m not mistaken, Zara removed it from the catalog, so if you find it, don’t think twice. This perfume is an identical clone of Dior Homme Cologne; no need to add anything else.

I expected little, thinking Zara is mass-produced and repetitive, but in the end, I liked it quite a bit: an imposing bergamot that, together with ginger and cedar, makes a rich and energetic fragrance. Very good longevity vs. price; I’d say it stands out from the crowd. I don’t find a resemblance to Dior Cologne, since that one has iris and this doesn’t, but in summary, it’s very rich.

It’s a beast, smells identical to Dior Homme Cologne and Zara Paris from New York, not a single millimeter of difference.

Very artificial cologne with a strong lemon (bergamot) scent that reminds me of a floor cleaner from the department store. I see more use for it as a room freshener than as a cologne; I didn’t like it at all.
