It’s a super citrusy fragrance, kind of like Dior Homme Cologne, though it doesn’t last as long and smells a bit more synthetic. It works great for me, perfect for daytime in the summer.
Very citrusy, similar to Dior Homme Cologne, with less longevity and a bit more synthetic. I like it. Ideal for summer daytime wear.
I liked it a lot. As an EDC, it lasts all day on my skin. It’s true it doesn’t project much, but you can feel it almost all day close to the skin. The ginger is noticeable from the first moment and blends very well with the citrus. Very summery and recommended for everyday wear. With lots of heat, the notes get accentuated.

I was looking for the From Paris To New York that no longer exists, turns out they swapped it for this Vibrant Leather Cologne. I don’t get Zara’s mess with the names. Tried it today downtown and it smells fucking great. Might bring it back to the collection. By the way, I ended up buying the Raw Vetyver, a new Zara fragrance not yet on Fragrantica. They say it’s like the first Dior Homme Sport, but rougher and less polished. Edit: I have it now, smells phenomenal for summer, a brutal citrus explosion that lasts quite a bit on my skin. Highly recommended.
If you’re dying for citrus, this is yours. Very summery and perfect for the heat. The ginger is noticeable from the start and gives it an interesting touch. Longevity isn’t a beast, about 3-4 hours on skin, with huge projection at first but then it drops off a cliff. Despite that, for 20 euros for 120 ml, it’s totally worth it.
Smells like Dior Homme Cologne, but it’s more synthetic and the bergamot hits harder in the Zara version; I personally prefer the Zara one.
If Aqua Universalis Forte is a more natural detergent, this is a more synthetic and harsh perfume-detergent. It smells like undeclared white musk, which bothers me since I’m sensitive, but it’s not entirely bad.
Very artificial cologne with a strong lemon (bergamot) scent that reminds me of a floor cleaner from the department store. I see more use for it as a room freshener than as a cologne; I didn’t like it at all.
Super artificial scent, so much lemon (bergamot) that it reminds me of the floor cleaner in big-box stores; better as a room freshener than a cologne, I didn’t like it at all.
It’s a beast, smells identical to Dior Homme Cologne and Zara Paris from New York, not a single millimeter of difference.
I loved it! A citrus bomb and super fresh. In my opinion, as a lover of the classic Vibrant Leather, the Cologne surpasses it in functionality and impact. I’m from Argentina, and spring-summer climates are very heavy and humid, and the Cologne allows me to feel fresh with good performance. Amazing price-quality ratio. Zara pleasantly surprised me with this new fragrance. Highly recommend!
I expected little, thinking Zara is mass-produced and repetitive, but in the end, I liked it quite a bit: an imposing bergamot that, together with ginger and cedar, makes a rich and energetic fragrance. Very good longevity vs. price; I’d say it stands out from the crowd. I don’t find a resemblance to Dior Cologne, since that one has iris and this doesn’t, but in summary, it’s very rich.
In my perception, the most prominent note is ginger, which I didn’t like; it’s a very flat and simple fragrance.
This perfume is an identical clone of Dior Homme Cologne; no need to add anything else.
In my opinion, the note that stands out the most is the ginger, and honestly, I didn’t like it. It’s a very flat and simple fragrance.
In my opinion, much better than its sibling, and if I’m not mistaken, Zara removed it from the catalog, so if you find it, don’t think twice. A rich citrus mixed with ginger that stays flat from start to finish, which for me is a virtue, since in many low-profile colognes the opening is the strong point and then they turn into weird bugs outside the store. Just like in many human relationships.
I just bought it this morning (it was hard to find) and after eight hours, I say it’s a wonderful citrus. The impression is that it resembles Allure Homme Sport. Maybe not in longevity, although it’s winter and with more heat, its performance would be higher. Close to the skin, I can still detect it. I was very surprised because, after seeing bad reviews, it’s frankly good. Less than 20 euros for 120 ml and it’s a steal. It’s a cologne that doesn’t get old on you. I see it as great for dates. Edit: I meant to say it resembles Dior Homme Cologne and I mistakenly wrote Chanel Allure Homme Sport.
I bought it this morning (it was hard to find) and after eight hours, it’s an incredible citrus scent. It smells like Allure Homme Sport, maybe not quite as long-lasting, but it’s winter and with heat it will perform better. I can still smell it close to the skin. It surprised me because after reading bad reviews, it’s honestly good. At less than 20 euros for 120 ml, it’s an insane deal. It’s a non-fatiguing cologne that I see as perfect for dates. I hope to get some compliments. Edit: I meant to say it smells like Dior Homme Cologne and I wrote Chanel Allure Homme Sport by mistake.
Friends: I walked out of a Zara and it indeed seems discontinued… but! Vibrant Leather Summer replaces it. And it’s an eau de parfum! Same scent! Just tried it.
For me, it’s much better than its sister scent, and if I’m not mistaken, Zara has already removed it from their catalog, so if you find it, don’t miss out. It’s a citrus with a very nice ginger note that stays flat from start to finish, which for me is a virtue, since in many cheap colognes the opening is the only good part and then they turn into weird bugs outside the store. Like in many human relationships, as it turns out.
To start: VLC has a very citrusy opening that I love; I enjoy that bergamot scent that gradually reveals ginger after 10 or 15 minutes. Over time, it doesn’t evolve, staying the same, but it’s not bad. After 8 hours, it still sits close to the skin. Yes, I spray it 8 to 10 times, but I have no problem since the price is very low (around $17). Projection is medium, noticeable up to a meter away. It’s 98% identical to Dior Homme Cologne but with less longevity. For me, it’s a 9 out of 10. What a shame Zara removed it; it’s really good.
I’m new to fragrances and have been a fan of Vibrant Leather from the start. Seeing this fresher version, I headed straight to buy it. Bought it blind and have no regrets, so I’d recommend grabbing it without looking; it’s easy to like. It’s like the original but with a potent, sharp citrus note. As Juan from Hueleme says, it’s like biting into an entire lemon with the peel. You can tell. It’s very similar to Dior Cologne, lasts less, but for the price, you can spray more or reapply; still, the longevity isn’t bad, lasting me about 6 hours.
Fresh, sharp, and zesty. Smells like lemon and cleanliness. Lasts a decent amount of time and projects moderately. A Zara classic.
I took a long time to write this. It smells like an intense lemon citrus, and on my skin it reminds me of cleaning products, which is why it doesn’t work for me. I’m not saying it’s a bad fragrance, by no means. But I’ve tried it several times and my olfactory memory only recalls floor cleaner… it’s a shame, I was hoping I’d like it for its longevity and sillage. This fragrance isn’t for me. Best regards.
I took quite a while to write this review. It smells like an intense lemon citrus, reminding me of cleaning products, which is why it’s not my cup of tea. I’m not saying it’s a bad fragrance, by any means. But I’ve tried it several times, and my olfactory memory always recalls cleaning products. It’s a pity, I was hoping to like it for its longevity and sillage. This fragrance isn’t for me. Cheers.
Despite their differences, I was surprised by the resemblance to Dior Homme Cologne. I think it’s due to that sparkling citrus opening. In the dry down, the Zara version keeps the citrus accord without drifting into a soapy, detergent-like smell, and without overwhelming with musks so common in low-cost perfumery that they make me want to avoid Vetiver Pamplemousse. A soft woody accord serves as a support to provide decent longevity, considering it’s a cologne.
It’s a very basic scent, like lemon. Honestly, on my skin it smells like floor cleaner. It doesn’t last at all. I bought it because a friend was going to Spain and I took advantage of it. Honestly, I won’t buy it again and I hope I can use the bottle for something else. It’s not a bad fragrance; my coworkers like it, but I’ll only use it at the gym.
It’s a very simple scent, just lemon. Honestly, it smells like floor cleaner to me. On my skin, it doesn’t last at all. I bought it because a friend was traveling to Spain. Honestly, I won’t buy it again and I hope I can reuse the bottle. It’s not a bad fragrance; my coworkers like it, but I’ll only use it for working out.
I completely agree with ManuelHRR. I think it’s the worst flanker of all the Vibrant Leather. As Manuel explains, it’s a simple lemon scent, without any charm, that I find repulsive. It smells like synthetic, cheap lemon floor cleaner. As with everything, there had to be a bad apple in the family. Scent: 3.0, Projection: 5.0, Longevity: 5 hours. Not recommended.
A huge hit from Zara. For me, it’s the house’s best value for money. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves sharp citrus with a hint of spice. Right out of the bottle, alongside the lemon and bergamot, the ginger is potent and then tames down for a couple of hours. I don’t detect the cedar in the dry down, but I’m not missing anything else described in the top and heart notes. It lasts 4-5 hours on skin and 6-7 on clothes, though I wouldn’t spray it on clothes because it’s pleasant for the morning, but later I crave something more powdery, fruity, or sweet in colder seasons. I use it a lot for sports; it’s an energy boost that wakes me up.
While browsing this VL Cologne, just like with Summer, I was blown away reading that others hate it. What would they think of Dior Homme Cologne, which costs four times as much and smells similar? Or Allure Homme Sport? Or the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino line, which costs ten times more? Given the price and how it smells, is it worth it? For me, yes.
Pungent and delicious citrus! It’s perfect for extreme heat and, in my opinion, it’s Zara’s best. The only downside is I can’t find it online to buy another bottle. If you see it, don’t hesitate to grab it. Give it a try because the first spray smells like cleaner, but with wear, you’ll discover its magic.
These are astringent citrus scents with a spicy touch over a cedar base, very similar to Dior Homme Cologne or Citrus Cedro. It’s a simple perfume but works great on hot days. Simple doesn’t mean boring; I defend these creations where less is more. The performance is moderate, about 4 hours, but given the scent and price, it seems fair. Highly recommended for summer, one of Zara’s best. They usually release mediocre stuff, but sometimes they surprise us.
Astringent citrus with a spicy touch, over a cedar base. Very similar to Dior Homme Cologne or Citrus Cedro. A simple perfume but works great in hot weather. Simple doesn’t mean simple-minded; I always defend these creations where less is more. Moderate performance (about 4 hours), but for the scent and price, it seems right. Highly recommended for summer, one of Zara’s best, which although they usually release trash, sometimes surprise us.
Launched in 2019 by Jerome Epinette, it hasn’t come out with all the names yet (Summer, Intense, etc.), but in my opinion, it’s one of Zara’s best for spring and summer. It opens with a strong citrus note of bergamot and ginger, with musk and light woods. It handles extreme heat well, projects strongly for the first two hours, and lasts between 5 and 6 hours. If you see it on sale or when Zara relaunches it, buy it without hesitation. Excellent aroma and a very good price.
I tried this in 2020 and initially thought it was just a less citrusy version of Vibrant Leather, so I put it away. What a mistake! Yes, right out of the bottle it smells like floor cleaner, but once it settles, it transforms into something crisp, refreshing, with a kick of ginger and wood that is absolutely fantastic. It’s citrusy, even a bit bold at first, but give it time. Now I see it’s out of stock or discontinued, which is a shame. It’s exquisite and lasts 5 to 7 hours. Totally recommended.
