If Blanche by Byredo was the fragrance of the year, Tulipe, just purchased, makes very good competition. I’m falling in love with these fragrances where ‘less is more’ is their signature. It’s clean, natural, and elegant, with great class and modernity. Delicate, floral, its evolution on the skin is a pleasure and very addictive due to its comfort. Worth investing in their bath and body lotion line because it’s a delight and you tend to keep coming back to it.
Airy and clean tulip, full of oxygen, like a jazz song where silence is key. It has that subtle pistil touch I love, reminiscent of Galion’s Tulipe. The cyclamen note is rich, and the green part is soft and enveloping. A great soft, detailed ‘unifloral’ scent, as Italians call it, ‘solifiore’.
Beware of anyone claiming La Fleur de Passion is a dupe for this masterpiece. DON’T FALL FOR IT. It bears no resemblance at all; that one has a dated, vintage vibe, with its own merits but nothing like Tulipe. I’ll keep searching for a decent dupe.
Smells like furniture cleaner to me. I find it suffocating.
A realistic floral, like a bunch of fresh tulips from Dutch markets. It’s airy, clean, impeccably clean. Dry down smells like luxury sheet softener. Totally feminine, ideal for spring and versatile, yet classy—better suited for semi-formal occasions. Performance is good, similar to other house scents. In short, an aroma that doesn’t quite suit me, but undoubtedly beautiful.
I’m sticking with Tulipe by Byredo: it’s like a fresh morning. I’m into green and white floral scents, always seeking that clean scent. At first, nothing happened, but then I couldn’t stop smelling it on my wrist; the freesia and rhubarb give way to those green notes that evoke cleanliness. I tried it after an exhausting day, and showering and applying it was total bliss—clean and olfactorily delicious, even on clothes the next morning. I feel like an autumn perfume, when summer gives way to long afternoons and endless nights. It’s pricey, but Byredo is for those seeking unusual fragrances, far from commercial. Worth it.
