After Game by El Ganso

Delicious. I tried it in-store with two sprays and liked it, but that test didn’t do it justice. A few days later, the temperature rose, and it was ideal to wear; I applied quite a few sprays, and it’s much better than the initial good impression. You briefly perceive the citrus in the opening: the green mandarin is unmistakable, then it shifts to green with petit grain, soft mint, and green tea, before giving way to a very friendly ‘green woody’ vetiver. That green mandarin never leaves the background, but on clothes, that’s what stands out the most. I don’t notice unpleasant synthetic alcohol or headaches, even after about 20 sprays; maybe it’s applied in areas where it shouldn’t, like the chest or under the chin, as that causes discomfort. Of those that say ‘similar to Dior Homme Cologne’, it has about 50% similarity. It’s for daytime, warm weather, around 27-28°C. I don’t see it with shorts, a t-shirt, and sandals; I see it casual, but with a button-down shirt. Although I don’t perceive it as extremely synthetic, in terms of essential oil quality, Adolfo Domínguez’s Citrus Cedro feels better, but personally, just for the scent, I stick with this one.

I fell for the positive reviews, bought it, and it was the worst purchase. I had read about headaches and nausea from perfumes, and now I’ve lived it. After Game or End Game.

Fresh and direct. The citrus phase passes quickly; what dominates is ginger, mentholated, and vetiver. Sillage lasts 2 hours, and it stays on the skin between 4 and 6 hours. It fulfills its function as an After Game.

Don’t spend money on Dior Homme Cologne; buy this and you won’t regret paying a third of the price. It’s exquisite, very citrusy and herbal, you fall in love with it over and over again.

Citrusy but with a dark touch that sets it apart. Jimmy Choo Man Ice is the type you want but never get. Citrus Cedre is the cute, popular guy you go out with daily. Dior Homme Cologne is the sugar daddy you fancy. But After Game… After Game is the guy you cheated on all of them with.

It evolves very quickly on my skin: the citrus lasts a short while, then moves to mint and green tea, followed by tea and vetiver, and finally, vetiver dominates. So, you must like that note because it smells like that 80% of its life. It doesn’t seem as fresh or energizing as they say, nor is it anything like Dior Homme Cologne (which are citrus with musk).

The fragrance evolves from citrus to woody/vetiver, passing through herbal notes. The ingredients feel noble; nothing synthetic, all natural and high quality. It’s not innovative, it’s a 90s classic. Highly recommended if you like this style. I see it more for daytime and all year thanks to the vetiver base. It fits perfectly with an informal-elegant style. Very wearable. Performance is decent, not super, but it lasts quite a bit. Projection isn’t as strong as other El Ganso scents, but it’s one of my favorites.

An aroma that evolves with high-quality ingredients (and for the real price). Citrus opening that’s sharp, clean, elegant, summery, and with a great vibe—bright and luminous. As it dries down, it becomes more herbal, with very soft mint and vetiver appearing in just the right amount. It’s softer than Encre Noire Sport (which, by the way, has poor performance) and not as intense as Terre, but totally enjoyable. Ideal for spring-summer, day or mild evenings, suitable for a wide age range (though it might smell very youthful to older folks) and perfect for any occasion—a true all-rounder that anyone will like. Once again, Spanish house El Ganso shines with a quality fragrance at a democratic price, even with decent skin longevity despite its fresh citrus vibe (after all, After Game has good staying power). It brings back memories of Banana Republic Vintage Green, though that one is more herbal-soapy-clean. Some say it even reminds them of Dior Homme Cologne, which I haven’t had the pleasure of smelling. For those entering spring and summer in their countries, I recommend giving it a sniff or buying it blind; you’ll feel like you made a great purchase. Cheers.

Super fresh cologne for summer; you can definitely detect the mandarin, tea, mint, and vetiver, especially the green tea. Very refreshing.

A fragrance that opens with super energizing and clean notes, ideal for after a workout. It leaves you with that great feeling in your body, like a job well done, similar to when you take a cold shower after exercising. Over time, the citrus fades and it becomes more relaxed and not annoying at all, perfectly completing the cycle we need for ‘after game’.

Very good. It smells citrusy and quite natural, then leaves herbal notes and lasts quite a bit. It’s in the line of Dior or Zara (or maybe it’s called Summer now). It seems more similar to the first one; the second one feels a bit rougher.
