Have you worn Pasha de Cartier Fraicheur Menthe?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Marcuomo

A lovely, fresh opening thanks to the mint; sharp and delicious. It lasts about 30 to 40 minutes, then upon drying it smells like a classic barbershop with lots of moss, caraway, and sandalwood, without any noticeable patchouli. I think it’s excellent—very similar to the original at late drydown but with more modern, cheerful touches, not juvenile. Performance is average: 6–8 hours, with the last two hours close to the skin and moderate projection. It’s a unicorn for some collectors because it’s extremely hard to find these days.

A lovely, fresh outing through mint, sharp and delicious. It lasts about 30 to 40 minutes, and as it dries down, it smells like a classic barbershop with lots of moss, caraway, and sandalwood; I don’t detect patchouli. It’s an excellent fragrance, very similar to the original in the end, but with more modern and youthful touches. Longevity is moderate, about 6 to 8 hours (the last two hours are skin scent), and projection is moderate. It’s a unicorn for collectors because it’s already very hard to find.

I’m back with Mr. Mark Buxton, that English genius who recreated this Fraicheur Menthe based on Jacques Cavallier’s original Pasha (1992) formula. In my opinion, it’s the best flanker in the entire Pasha family, though I’m surprised Cavallier wasn’t in charge. The blue bottle with blue liquid made me fall in love instantly; it was a must-have. Upon spraying, there’s an ultra-clean moment between sweet citrus and frozen mint, with cilantro adding vibrancy and intense aroma. Everything lands on Pasha’s classic sweet wood. I like it more than the original because it’s more youthful and relaxed, though it wears well year-round. Performance is excellent. I’m sad it was discontinued and won’t return; if you find it, it’s an exotic treasure, as long as the price is fair ($100).

  4. I tried it and absolutely loved it. It has a very subtle touch of mint and cilantro but with great longevity. Perfect for summer and spring.
