The top notes unfold a vibrant freshness with pineapple, Moroccan lemon, grapefruit, galbanum leaf, peach, plum, mandarin, and raspberry. The heart reveals floral and woody elegance thanks to Italian iris, Brazilian rosewood, jasmine, valley lily, and Egyptian rose. Finally, the base notes anchor the olfactive pyramid with an exotic and warm touch composed of coconut, vanilla, Madagascar sandalwood, tonka bean, musk, patchouli, amber, and cedar.

So pretty, but it’s a shame that even people standing right next to you can’t smell it. It has all the fruits, and mixing them this way is a miracle, but I have to spray like crazy just to make it noticeable. Is this weird? Did it come defective, or is it my skin? Cheers.

Laguna is a summer classic that almost no one uses anymore. On my skin, the citrus dominates, taking you straight to the beach. I get a touch of sunscreen, maybe from the coconut, with a synthetic nuance that fits perfectly. In the dry down, there’s wood and cleanliness thanks to the patchouli, while the sweet fruits are subtle, like a distant cocktail that accompanies without overpowering. The projection is moderate, and although it’s a summer scent, it works incredibly well at night. It lasts about 5 hours on my skin.

Edit: I went back to the perfumerie and found this Laguna by Dalí at a crazy price. I tested it on my wrist, and the opening didn’t smell as alcoholic as the one I have at home, so I grabbed a small bottle. Exquisite citrus and fruity opening, with a creamy, sweet finish (tonka bean and coconut) that isn’t overwhelming. I choose it for summer nights; I wear it to feel sexy. I used it at a party and it lasted well on my skin, though the projection was a bit short. Glad I replaced my old bottle.

They gave it to me years ago, and I only just started appreciating it now. It lasts quite a bit on my skin, about 4-5 hours. Although the base is vanilla and coconut, the fruity top note feels very fresh. I use it after a shower or for workouts because it’s soft but noticeable.

A couple of years ago, while browsing perfumeries with my daughter, we spotted this Laguna by Dalí at a discounted price. We bought it: I for the memory of that fragrance from the 90s, and she for the beautiful green bottle. That Laguna from the 90s is the one described by Spartacus below. This current version is clearly reformulated and cheaper. The opening is more alcoholic than citrusy. I’m grateful it still keeps some of that characteristic warm, creamy, and enveloping finish. Today, when I sprayed it on my wrist, I thought: what a shame I didn’t appreciate it back in the day.

What a shame about this house; unfortunately, they’re disappearing, so I grabbed the 125ml version. Very rich, summery, and very 90s, those fresh scents with personality. The bottle is gorgeous; it’s going into my collection.

I had it years ago and found it very sweet and a bit heavy. I used it to go out at night, and it was ideal for autumn and winter.

This perfume is not linear at all. It has an opening that’s a mix of sweet, citrus, and woody notes that’s a bit hard to wrap your head around. If you ask me, it’s unisex, and I even think it’s more for men than women. It feels soapy, and I don’t really detect the peach.

A fragrance where the air of the 90s is present. Although the list of notes might scare you, the scent is easy to summarize. It opens citrusy and evolves into a sweet fruity aroma, with ripe fruits and a woody base. It feels creamy, thanks to the coconut and sandalwood. Vanilla also appears in the dry down, closing the sweet circle. It’s not cloying; it feels very fresh. If you see the bottle color and imagine a lagoon in the Caribbean, that’s what it smells like. Beach freshness, fruit salad, coconut water, and palm trees. I was pleasantly surprised.
Mariposa_nocturna30
It’s a quite powdery and vintage aroma. The only downside is the longevity, but it’s so unconventional that if you want to stand out from the crowd here, you must try it.

I can’t believe I never reviewed this perfume before. For how affordable it is, the longevity on my skin is actually good. It smells like sweet fruit, and checking the notes confirms it’s pineapple. It’s very fruity and gourmand, but it’s not a lemon bomb like Light Blue, though I do like it. Would I buy it again? Yes, for the scent, price, and lasting power.

I owned this years ago and loved it. I should try it again to see how it feels on my skin now.

This perfume sparked my curiosity about fragrances in November 2021; before that, I couldn’t imagine spending money on perfumes or reading reviews. How do you review something that only smells? But seeing the bottle in an ad, I thought, ‘what a beautiful thing,’ and knowing it was Dalí made me more interested. My first search on this forum was for this essence. From there, I got my perfumes, my jewelry, and saved this vintage fruity one for last. I was encouraged by a moderate online price and ordered it. Wow… it disappointed me a bit; I expected a vintage bomb, those that give you a headache (I love strong scents). But no, the first sprays gave me nausea, like smelling very ripe, almost rotten fruit, mixed with men’s shampoo. A smell that just made me want to gag. However, I’m stubborn, and since I spent the money, I had to give it a chance, and I did. On my sister, it smells delicious; even with that shampoo dry-down, the dry scent is incredible, almost confusing it with Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique (which I love). From that point on, I got hooked. I use it for work, right after showering, feeling clean and pretty. It’s not a bad perfume, but I definitely wouldn’t repurchase. That said, it’s a gorgeous bottle. A piece of art made for the nose.

I heard about this years ago and waited for a cheaper occasion to buy it. I finally did, and to my surprise, it didn’t seem as captivating as I remembered. I’m not sure if they reformulated it or if my memory is playing tricks on me. Still, I like it. The bottle is a wonderful Dalí design, with that lovely aqua green like a summer lagoon. It smells citrusy at first, then slightly watery (even though the description doesn’t say so, that’s how it feels to me). Later, it turns into a childish touch. It’s very pleasant for a young girl, for summer and everyday wear, not for special events.

I had this in the 90s during my teenage years and loved it. It was the only perfume from that era I used from start to finish without getting tired of it, along with CK One. I recently bought it again, wanting to own it again even though I barely remembered how it smelled. Well… I still love it and enjoy it. I caught the scent and remembered, how beautiful it is. On me, coconut, mandarin, pineapple, and jasmine dominate. After drying down, a few hours later, it leaves a base of woods, amber, and coconut sweetened with vanilla. Regarding longevity: on cool days, up to 12 hours or more, mainly on hair. On hot days, at most 6-8 hours. I’m teaching my husband about perfumes; I told him there are scents to feel sexy, others that bring peace, and even some that help you sleep… Laguna, in particular, charges you with energy. This one and EA’s Green Tea are the ones I always choose when waking up early for a long day. It’s a very personal choice, but it helps understand this lovely aroma, especially for blind collectors like me.

It was my wedding perfume because I only had this and Guess, but I have no regrets. I felt so clean with the iris powder, the freshness of the citrus, and the elegance of the raspberry and plum. Despite the time passing, I still like it a lot. It’s a discreet but different aroma from the common ones, not the loud 90s style, less of a current gourmand, more surreal like its bottle.

I LOVE IT! Excellent blind buy. Very summer and spring perfume. Yes, it’s super sweet and citrusy, but at the same time woody and vanilla. I could perceive this scent in other people close to me while wearing it; maybe there are several dupes and it became very mass-produced. But it’s a delight, nothing to envy from more modern perfumes.

I owed this review because I used the fragrance for quite some time in the 90s and remember it with much affection, beyond keeping that bottle which is a work of art. Seeing that in these difficult times for buying imported perfumes in Argentina it’s at an accessible price, I’m very tempted to buy it again, at least in a smaller size because I’m not sure if I’d use it that much. It was a very attractive perfume and at the same time non-invasive. Fresh, citrusy, and floral, enveloping. I remember it as very persistent, soft, one of those that accompanies you all day without bothering others. I used it in an office with many people, so I recommend it for those moments: work, outdoor outings, etc., although I don’t like to pigeonhole scents because everyone uses them for what they want. I loved it. I remember its notes of grapefruit, then jasmine and valley lily, giving way to a powdery dry-down where coconut softly emerged (a note I didn’t particularly like, but I don’t remember it being strong, it was felt), vanilla, and amber. It’s worth trying if you like fresh, citrusy, and enveloping scents.

I had Dalí’s Laguna back in the mid-90s, after the Classic, which had me completely head-over-heels. Laguna is totally different, but I liked it even more. While the original Dalí was mysterious and sensual, Laguna is very delicate and youthful. I remember the pineapple was very present, giving it a fresh touch; I didn’t smell the coconut (a pity because I’m a fan), but my nose was different back then, inexperienced and instinctive. I used it a lot in spring and summer, but it was very versatile. It’s at an excellent price in my country (Argentina), so I’ll be getting it again soon to enjoy it.

Bought it blind and honestly, it smells luxurious. It’s not a scent that clings too strongly, but for these spring days, I love wearing it. Considering the price, I’m super happy with my purchase.

An aunt gifted me this years ago and I fell in love instantly. It has an unmistakable scent: sweet yet delicate, with plenty of vanilla. Then all the notes balance out subtly. It lasts forever, even lingering on clothes for days. The bottle is gorgeous; it’s one of my favorites and I always have it.

Just received my bottle, can’t wait to smell it after 20 years. I have to say, Laguna back then was more intense; I don’t know if it’s due to changes in our skin’s pH. I’ll see how it evolves over time, but for now, it doesn’t envelop me like before…
Melimontecino
This is my mom’s perfume. It’s sweet but not overwhelming; the fragrance is quite complex—I can’t distinguish the individual notes, but together they result in something pleasant. It works better on cold days or at night due to its sweetness, and I wouldn’t recommend it for young girls, but rather for mature women.

Salvador Dalí’s Laguna is a contradictory perfume: far from its aqua green color and name, it’s not aquatic. This 90s classic is loaded with ingredients that aren’t too heavy or light; it’s a mix of fruits and flowers with a strong touch of vanilla and sandalwood. The opening is slightly fresh but quickly shifts to reveal that fruity mix (pineapple, coconut, plum, peach, raspberry, lemon, tangerine, and grapefruit); nothing stands out individually, it’s a fruity blend, sweet and salty, with the powdery touch of iris in the heart, alongside jasmine, rose, and lily. They don’t feel natural, but synthetic, which isn’t bad; perhaps that’s why, despite not being very strong, it has decent longevity and sillage. The dry down has an oriental touch thanks to the perceptible vanilla from the start, paired with sandalwood and tonka bean. I discovered it while searching for my vintage Lolitas, and upon smelling it, it seemed like an original proposal—it doesn’t resemble anything else in my collection, plus it seems perfectly unisex.

This is my mother’s signature perfume, which is why I know she’ll always have a bottle of Laguna for me. The strange thing is that on my skin it stays too sweet (the fruits are very noticeable), whereas on hers, the iris and jasmine stand out. I’d say it’s a perfume with very distinct phases, and each skin’s pH can enhance one note over another.

This perfume has a fresh, fruity opening that is fleeting, then shifts to a talcum/floral aroma before becoming slightly more laconic and creamy with a mildly sweet base. It’s extremely pleasant, elegant, and soft; the projection is short but irresistible. Up close, it lasts about 6 hours (depending on the skin). Ideal for people 30 and up. It’s very feminine, delicate, talcum-like, and mildly sweet, therefore extremely seductive. Can be used for daily wear or a night out or something more romantic. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a soft, seductive, feminine, talcum, and mildly sweet perfume.

SWEET, SOFT, FEMININE, AND AFFORDABLE… everything you need every day to go to work and let everyone know you’re a woman. In its opening, the roughness of Italian iris is very noticeable. The vanilla is so intense it’s present in all three stages. It’s no surprise it reminded me of Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, as both share the same 5 ingredients in their base.

There is no perfume quite like it. I buy it over and over; it seems excellent for someone with a limited budget but a desire to use a unique scent. I consider it the best perfume from the costumer line. In Argentina, the 30cc bottle can be found for less than $10.
antomera
This perfume is delicious! I’ve been using it since I was 17 (now I’m 25 and it still seems excellent, and I’ll surely keep using it in 10 and 20 years). It’s simply delicate; it’s one of those scents that makes you close your eyes and let out a soft sigh of enjoyment. It smells clean, neat, and refined; it’s relaxing and gives me a lot of peace, but it’s not subtle—you can feel it quite a bit; people notice it and ask what you’re wearing. It’s a very original scent, honestly, there’s nothing else that reminds me of this aroma. It’s ultra-versatile, fresh yet creamy, soft yet intense…
